Idk how come I never heard of this place as I'm in this area about once a month, but I've missed out since supporting other long time spots I shopped at. My new go to spot since the other spot stoped serving dim sum. Lucky for them they have a new repeat customer for life. Great fresh made dim sum plates while you wait or what I like is they sell frozen made dim sum products for the house.

First time here I came here looking for some pork buns, they only had steamed ones available so I went ahead and ordered some. All food is take out Menu is kind overwhelming as they have tons of signs posted and offer an extensive variety of items You can call ahead and place your order. Parking is super limited, prices are reasonable Order was ready in about 10 min, my daughter really enjoyed the buns

These dumplings were as delicious as ones I've bought from San Francisco Chinatown....full of flavor, not overly expensive like the restaurants in Castro Valley. I love this and recommend them for others who are fussy about Chinese food.

I had a craving for dim sum on this late afternoon and couldn't rush out to pay a personal visit. Luckily online delivery provided the food. My order consists of sesame balls, fried taro balls, lotus leaf sticky rice, pork spare ribs, and stuffed bean curd rolls. They all came warm and ready to eat just provide my own hot tea and I am at a tea house. Not only were they warm, they were flavorful. In additional, they were competitively priced.

I can vouch that the food tastes better than it looks! My favorite was the chicken feet! It was not too salty, just the right amount of flavor. The Siu Mai was my second favorite! The dim sum here is definitely worth the price! If there is one thing to change, I would wish that the steamed sponge cake uses brown sugar. This would be a lot healthier and it would also taste better with the hint of burnt taste from the brown sugar.

What a hidden gem! Dim sum has gotten really expensive at a lot of places in the east bay, but Dim Sum House still sells quality dim sum at AFFORDABLE prices. Most dishes are under $5 (about $1.25/dumpling) while other places are charging nearly double that. It is a true "hole in the wall" located in a neighborhood. Parking is limited to street parking but you shouldn't have a problem if you are open to walking a little. They accept credit card. You can order in advance by calling or texting their number. I opted to order in person and the wait was about 20 min for my food. Not bad considering how much I ordered. I came around 10 AM on a Sunday and there was no line. Food was delicious. Everything we ordered was great! The sui mai was probably my favorite. Service was friendly and efficient.

Found this Dim Sun restaurant on Instagram. The reviews all sounded positive so off to Hayward for Dim Sum take-out. I learned a couple of things on my first trip. The service is very good, the Dim Sum is cooked fresh while you wait, if you order on-line you can shorten your wait time, you can park around the corner in the neighborhood if you don't find street parking in front of the restaurant and they have a variety of frozens. I took pictures of the menu of what they sell. We ordered Sui Mai, XLB, Baked Pork Buns, Pork Puffs and steamed rice roll with shrimp. I forgot to take pictures of the food. All if it was fresh, we had to microwave the dim sum because it took about 35 minutes to get home. We need to try Dim Sum House again and eat it in the car, it will probably taste better fresh out of the steamers. The service is very good, food is good but nothing stood out as best dim sum ever but fresh and well priced for Dim Sum. We plan to go again, buy some new items and some repeat dumplings. I would recommend stopping in and ordering some Dim Sum or frozen to take home. They take many different forms of payment including Venmo.

1/2/25 FYI, owner sister suggested just getting the regular sticky rice.

4.4 stars today, so sorry I had to round down. But I can see a 5 star rating soon! Quality/Quantity - Today we got the following: Two bags of frozen dim sum - Siu Mai and Shrimp Dumpling (Har Gow). As for our fresh order: Shrimp Rice Roll - Two orders, small quantity compared to their competitors but their price also reflects that. The sauce was light, good thing I have extra soy sauce at home. Beef Rice Roll - Two orders, see above. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf - Good, but also smaller quantity than their competitors. 3 come in an order. Fish Siu Mai - This was a test for us. Basically a fish ball with a Siu Mai wrapper. I actually liked it. Atmosphere - Small local to-go place. White zone in front for parking two or three cars. Plenty of street parking. Open 6 days a week from 9am to 5pm; closed Mondays. Service - 5 stars, the sister is so friendly and nice. Frozen Har Gow was sold out, so she went out of her way to get me an order, hence the different packaging in my photo. Oh, and congrats to the brother with the newborn (2-3 months old now). Price - $70, inexpensive for dim sum. But do keep in mind that their dim sum sizes are smaller than their competitors. As usual, I overbought for lunch today. This was just for my daughter and I, lol. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2020. I am becoming a regular customer.

I am always on the hunt for a good takeout dim sum spot. As much as I love gathering with friends or family for yum cha at a sit down restaurant on a Saturday morning, there's just something that hits different from being able to pick up a batch of freshly steamed dim sum and eat it in the comfort of your own home. In my case, most of our order did not make it home as I started scarfing it down immediately in the car... Stopped by here on a Friday morning around 11 am and ordered a ton of items to satisfy our dim sum cravings. We got the fried glutinous rice / salty pork dumpling (ham sui gok or the "football" as my husband affectionately calls it), fried taro puffs, siu mai, har gow, sticky rice in lotus leaf, pan fried turnip cake, chicken feet, spare rib with black bean sauce, and bbq pork rice rolls. Everything is made to order so all of the food came out piping hot and fresh. I loved everything but the ham sui gok, har gow and turnip cake were all standouts for me for their flavor, texture and overall preparation. These are typically my go to items though and Dim Sum House does it well. We also tried to get baked bbq pork buns but they said you have to come when they open to get these as they sell out quick! This is a small hole in the wall that seems to be well known and loved by locals. There's no parking lot but a lot of street parking and most of the street is residential. There isn't any room to wait inside. Orders usually take about 10 minutes but can be longer if it's busy. You can call or text them to place your order which is a huge plus, and they do WeChat as well! They also take credit card and Apple Pay. I thought the prices were very reasonable and most items cost approximately $4-5 for an order (3 pcs).

I popped in for Lunar Year. Friendly service, prices are great! Takeout only. Street parking only. I highly recommend for traditional Cantonese options. Food is made fresh. Took less than 10 minutes. No waiting when I arrived but a few folks began trickling in afterwards. Lucky me! I ordered fish dumplings and a pork bun. Delish :) Gong hei fat choy!

Got some dim sum items to go. Not my first time here, if I am in the vicinity, I always get some frozen or fresh dim sum take out. Service is very speedy and accurate. Ambiance is a very casual, small, hole in the wall mom and pop shop, only for take out. There is no seating. In the Bay Area, I would say the frozen dim sum is one of the best. Price is affordable too.

    Store Front. Take out only

Local mom and pop dim sum spot. They have all the basics (har gow, shuimai, charsu bao...) and some interesting creations too. Take out only and there could be a little wait (15-20min) on weekends. Prices seem a tad high based on location. Service is fine and they speak English. Not much parking. All these 5* reviews a lil sus.

The restaurant PACKED UP SUPER QUICK! The new colors and chandeliers really make the ambiance fancier than the previous restaurant. They even have a private VIP room in the back. My family and I did notice that the carpets did not look new, and looked like they hadn't been cleaned, which confused us because of the grand re-opening and renovations done. Everything we ordered was absolutely delish dim sum. Their congee with century egg and chicken is packed with flavor! I enjoyed this for a few more days after as leftovers! I gave four stars though, because service was slow, unorganized, and if we hadn't called attention to the manager and servers, we might have needed to wait even longer for our food orders to go in and be served. Our combination rice noodles plate took over one hour and it took us asking one of the managers what happened to our noodle dish, as it had been over one hour, and was the last item to be crossed off our orders list,l. We told the manager we could just cancel it since we were full from dim sum. The manager hurried to the kitchen, then back to our table with the rice noodles dish in hand. We have dined in this Pearl Bay location for years, especially because of the dim sum and regular dinner and lunch menus, so we hope that with more staffing and organization, service will improve over time.

I still can't get over the noodles, it was such a good portion and had so much that if I just got that and no dim sum, it would've been totally fine. It had vegetables , seafood, and combination textures of crunchiness plus softness in the noodles. Service was alright overall, it was very busy so we had to try hard to get server attention. There were 4 plates to seat 4 folks but only 3 napkins at our table too, that was a letdown. The speed of food coming out was good as a whole though - we got about 8 items with 1 being a big plate that took the longest. If you're coming on weekends or holidays, be sure to get there before or by opening time. Otherwise you'll have a challenging time getting good parking.

The food on the other hand came out in a timely manner and were steaming hot when they got to our table. We ordered about a dozen dishes and they were all delicious. My favorite dish was the Golden Tofu Cube with Salted Egg. It was a little salty and the inside was soft while the outside was crispy. I also liked the Stir Fried XO Sauce Rice Rolls. It was flavorful, tender and I thought they used the right amount of sauce for my liking. The dining area was quite big. The scallion pancakes were not crispy or flaky - Trader Joe's are better. The tofu rolls were cold on one side, like refrigerator cold, while the other side was lukewarm. The jellyfish salad had no flavor whatsoever, just the very slightest hint of sesame. No salt, nothing. The seaweed salad was decent. The deep fried mochi puffs with meat filling were bad. The outer shell was too thick so the inside was uncooked and doughy. Inedible. And, the cold chicken feet were so tough they were in edible. I didn't know you could make chicken feet like that, so tough. Again not really any flavor, they were just tossed with a little bit of chili sauce and hardly any of that. And no vinegar chili sauce for dipping. I would not recommend.

The fish sandwich is only $3.50 and definitely lives up to the hype. Crispy crunchy on the outside, moist fish inside, creamy mayo, all inside a fluffy roll. Awesome! The filled pineapple buns were so-so- the pineapple and mango inside were too sweet for us, almost like candied. Hot dog bun was solid, we prefer the ham/corn bun at other Chinese bakeries. Food has been consistently good and dimsum is offered in their entire opening hours. I wish they open more than just Thursdays through Sundays.

My family celebrated my dad's 87th birthday here. When we arrived, the restaurant was busy, but…read morethere were still seats available. My sister had reserved our tables a few days in advance. The staff told her we wouldn't be seated unless our entire party was present. About 4 people were late, but they still seated us. The restaurant kind of felt old and somewhat dirty. But hey, it was my dad's birthday. I wasn't paying for lunch. We occupied three tables and ordered from both the lunch and dim sum menus. I enjoyed dishes like shiu mai, pork buns, walnut shrimp, fried rice, fish, and fried noodles. The sesame balls were tasty, but the service was slow, and I had to follow up on our order. I didn't care for the bun with the hot dog or the other noodle dish. Later that day, my daughter mentioned she had found hair in a pork bun and that her cousin had eaten it. She also said every item he picked up had hair on it, which was disappointing. I didn't confirm this with my cousin, but it would have been helpful to have someone inform the staff. Fortunately, no one at our table found hair in their food, which was a relief. Overall, the food that I ate was fine, but I wouldn't make a special trip from San Jose to visit again...unless it's a fambam family treat.
