Came here for lunch with my family and it was a great lunch option nearby! We got the spicy knife cut noodles, hainan chicken over rice, and a hainan chicken noodle soup. The portions were huge and the food was well seasoned. Definitely had a lot of leftovers and this place is also super affordable! Highly recommend checking this spot out.

We were a little disappointed when we came in as our pieces of hainan chicken were a lot smaller than usual. Everything else was the usual when it came to the noodles, soup and rice.

Busy place on a Saturday afternoon. I was the only white dude in the place. (my husband is from Hong Kong. He pointed that out.). Women at the counter were fast and friendly. The Hainan Chicken was great. Hainan Chicken has bones of you didn't already know. They give you a LOT of pickled ginger with your order. The food seem authentically Chinese, but I don't know enough about the cuisine to verify that. Recommend. But we got Takeaway. If you want to dine in expect a wait.

One of my go to places when I want a hearty, warm, delicious meal. They have great combos for a decent price and you can always count of getting some great hainan chicken. Their noodles are also great and my next favorite option when I want to switch it up. They're pretty fast and efficient and the place itself isn't too big but usually is never too full to not be able to find a seat.

This place was such a surprise! Came here after a Costco run and was craving a quick rice plate and the Special Hainan Chicken, DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The chicken plate not only was a deal, it was succulent and the rice portion was perfect with a pickled cucumber/fungus side and hot soup. Definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for something well-balanced and quick. Service was speedy and efficient. Their appetizers were pretty tasty too. Thank you for the yummy meal!

This restaurant has been in a stable rotation for whenever I am eating out. They serve super fast each and every time I visited, ranging from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. Chicken is tendered and juicy, the garlic scallion sauce pairs with it perfectly. Just simple and comforting.

Had high hopes was overall a disappointment. Located inside Greenhouse Market place, it's a small restaurant close to the Jack in the Box/McDonald's size. Place has a simple menu which is more than enough for a small size restaurant. Staff here are friendly and have one restroom stall that's always busy. Unfortunately it's a huge disappointment. Not sure if it was because the Chef was having a bad day or if the sale was on sale but everything was too salty to the point where the salt covered up the natural taste of the food. The fried fish (size of smelt roe) should've been lightly season and fried but it was too salty to even taste the fish. The soup that came with the Hainan chicken was too salty but the Hainan Chicken itself was done right. The fried fish cake.. all we could taste was the salt. I hope this is not their norm.

Lately, I've been craving Hainan chicken rice and the last place I tried, left me disappointed. When I saw the picture of the Hainan chicken rice from this place, I thought I'll give it a try. We ordered 1/4 Chiu chow brined duck, braised pork knuckle and Hainanese chicken rice. As part of the rice dish, I received a bowl of soup. To my surprise, I actually really enjoyed the food. Majority of the food was seasoned well, except the cucumber side dish that came with the rice. It literally has no flavor. This restaurant is quite small but it seems like a lot of their orders are for take out.

Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 3.5/5 Small cozy restaurant at the Greenhouse Marketplace, near McDonald's. We ordered C01 Signature Hainan Chicken over Rice & B05 Mixed Meatball Noodle Soup. I liked how the Hainan Chicken went well with the sides, esp the salted green onions, cucumber & mushrooms. I added chili oil yumm. The chicken broth was flavorful. It was a generous portion. We were so full from the chicken that we just packed the meatball soup to go. Would come back to try the small plates.

This is a small Chinese restaurant inside the Washington Manor plaza. Ordered the special Hainan chicken soup comb and Beef stew noodles. Chicken was a little overcooked it was not tender. Beef stew broth was very tasty. Definitely will come back to try other dishes.

5/5 Parking is all you can choose (like the buffet) lol. Located in a plaza therefore there is no searching for parking. 4/5 Customer service was absolutely great from greeting, taking order and bringing food. Doesn't come back to check on customers to see if water or tea is need. 5/5 Ambiance is super cozy with a relaxing vibe that compliments the comfort food. Located in a bustling shopping center in a small shop, seating about 20 maybe 25 the most. I see 1 stall for bathroom but didn't check. The food was very delicious but a little salty for me because I don't consume salt like that. The app is also salty for me but a sip of the hot tea takes the salty away. Forgot the picture of the fried calamari which was fresh, the batter for me was too thick but love the crunchy freshness. Will order again if in the mood for something thick and crunchy. Overall this will be a stop I will make for the soup because it was amazing especially the fresh hand cut noodle. You truly will not be disappointed with the bursting flavors. Fellow foodies hope this will help with your food sear h endeavor. Until next time

My wife and I dropped by for…read morelunch at 12:30 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon with some friends and we were able to immediately get seated at a table. Between the two of us, we ordered a whole Hainan chicken -- knowing that we'd have enough leftovers for dinner later that evening, as well as a baked fish fillet over rice. Like all baked entrees, you should expect to wait around 20 minutes or so for the dish to be prepared. If you anticipate being hungry during the extended wait, I'd recommend ordering some snacks as well, like popcorn chicken or some curry fish balls. The baked fish fillet here is absolutely delicious. If you enjoy Korean corn cheese, this dish feels like corn cheese over rice, with a perfectly crispy fish filet on top, smothered with a white cream sauce. This dish is incredibly rich and each bite feels like a warm hug. You'll definitely be in the mood for a nap after finishing this dish. The Hainan chicken here is probably some of the best in the Bay. The chicken skin has the gelatinous texture of well-prepared Hainan chicken, and the chicken itself is incredibly moist and tender. The chickens they serve up are absolutely massive and a whole chicken should comfortably feed a family of four. The ginger scallion sauce on the side could use a touch of salt, but that's just my personal preference for things to be a tad saltier. Overall, if you're craving Hong Kong diner food, Baby Cafe is a great option in this part of town. I would definitely stop by again for lunch.

Pros: - Very easy parking, lots of spots available in the lot - pretty delicious food with pretty generous portions! Everything tasted pretty fresh and not over-rich and not over-MSG'ed. - Cute vibes inside - very Asian millennial and the trees inside are so cute haha. Very good placement since the tree close to the door blocks the door from shining blaring sun in your eyes if you're sitting facing the door - The milk tea was delicious??? - Pretty good service, food came out quickly, check came back quickly - Chinese-speaking and English-speaking friendly - Very easy to share dishes family style. Quality/Quantity - My daughter craved Pho so we came to this place. It has been a VERY long time since we ate here. Actually, the previous time was with the previous owners/business. Today we got the following: Fish Ball Noodle Soup with Pho Noodles - Of course my daughter's choice and with NO veggies?!?! This looked so plain... I know I could have made this better at home! My wife shared some of her wontons with my daughter to add to the flavor. See pictures. I am sure this is NOT what my daughter had in mind when she craved Pho. This was much more of a "Chinese" dish rather than Vietnamese. Update - My daughter mentioned that she could not find regular thinly sliced beef pho as an option. And she thought fish balls were beef balls... Wonton Noodle Soup - Also as plain as my daughter's dish. Again, more of a Chinese dish rather than Vietnamese. #24 Fried Pork Chop, Chicken, Egg with Steamed Rice - Fried fresh and perfectly done! My pork chop and chicken were 5 stars! Everything else was just okay. Ambiance - Very small local business. Decent size parking lot, but not enough spaces for this busy mall. We got lucky and got a space fairly close to the restaurant. Not stressed as we planned to shop at Foodnet after lunch. Service - Had to ask for everything. Hard to get their attention as they just hung around the first booth talking and talking and talking. The hardest worker was the runner, probably the only employee that was not family...? Price - $66 + more generous tip than deserved or earned. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 2024. And your previous location in Oakland, etc. The previous location was known for their chicken, chicken noodle soup, etc.
