Take note this review is based off my visit during June. I did put in a great 5star review before when Patrick used to give me cuts. Since its close to work, I decided to go by to get my cut by someone else. My hair was gelled up and rough, the place does not have a hair wash station so the barber asked me to go wash my hair in the bathroom sink. I go ahead wet my hair on the sink a little and use I kid you not 3 paper towels to just wipe the water off the back of my neck from dripping. The owner MJ walks in from the backdoor as I toss the paper towel on the trash. Tells me "If you ever waste my towels again I'm not going to let you come here again". I was naturally respectful even if he very rudely said that to me and replied "okay". I am sure people use paper towels for its purpose, to wipe wet areas. I am very good when it comes to courtesy like that, and I wouldn't want to wipe my hair with the towels since the barber wanted it wet. So I go back to the barber and he gets chewed out too. Afterwards I ask the barber to give me short sides/back with no.1 and trim half inch of the top. He straight up buzzed me all over. I did not mind that much because it was the start of summer (June). For that I would give a 2 star for the cut but if there was a negative 5 star for the behavior from owner, id give that. It definitely set me off a negative vibe and am never coming back to get a cut here again. Horrible way to treat a customer. read more

It's been about a year since I met Chris and no matter time of day he answers my text to set up my appointments. I've been getting my cut from Chris at this place for a good year now. The dude is a freaking pro!! It's the owner I have a problem with. I went to get my usual cut today, but didn't get a chance to wash my hair at home before going in. So, I go to the back, washed my hair, and grabbed some paper towels from the dispenser. To my surprise, the owner walks to the back just to tell me not to use up his paper towels because "it costs him money." My response was, "I didn't know paper towels were THAT expensive!!" He's like, "Yeah, it gets pricy!" I was so pissed!! I walked back to my barber chair thinking, "WHATTA HELL???!!! What a cheap bastard!!!" I was pissed throughout my haircut. At the end, I paid for my cut, I gave Chris his well-deserved tip, and gave him an extra dollar. I told him that the extra dollar was to give to his boss to go buy some paper towels at the Dollar Tree. As I walked out, I told the owner I was also a business owner, and that sometimes, we just have to bite the bullet a little. His response was, "More???!!!" I said, "Yeah, man.. you're gonna lose customers that way!!" IDIOT. read more

Slow and disorganized. They mentioned NOTHING nor had any signage requiring their clients to "sign in". They see me walk in and sit down to wait and say nothing. An hour later I notice them taking in customers who came in after me. Oh! Turns out I have to "sign in" first! I finally sign in, after an hour of waiting and still end up waiting another 1 1/2 hours to finally get a simple cut that took the guy less than 10mins to do. Decided to check this place out today and just had to write a review. I got my haircut from Erica and she took the time to understand exactly how I wanted it, and was very friendly! The fade was nice and smooth, but at the top, my hair started acting up so Mark (the boss) stepped in real quick and fixed it up. The man is a beast at cutting hair. Ultimately, Erica did her thing and I was really happy with my haircut. Figured out she works on Mon, Wed, and Thurs, so definitely would recommend her to anyone looking for good service and a fresh clean fade :) Oh, and they had jams, good people, chill vibes all around. Honestly, I been getting a lot of haircuts here and they are extremely good. There is no doubt it that they are good, but one thing that they are truly horrible at is the way they take in customers. I went in on a slow day to get a hair cut and I put my name on the list like I usually do. But i waited almost an hour and a half. ( normally i wouldn't mind waiting that long ) But the thing is a bunch of people that came in after me, every single one of them got a hair cut before me. Every single barber skipped me except one( the asian guy who wears black latex gloves). They didn't even bother to look at the list, so why bother having one if your not going to go by it. Keep in mind that none of these people had appointments either. Because I was paying attention to how much their total was. i was so upset I just walked out. Bottomline is yes they are good at cutting hair, but this experience has definitely changed my perspective on this shop. In addition, when I walked out of the store the girl barber thought it was funny that I had walked out cause I literally parked my car in front of the store. It is what is I cant change my experience so, Ill just take my business elsewhere. read more

This place has spiraled downhill. I just had the worse haircut of my life. I told the barber that I just wanted a trim. I even showed him a picture of what I wanted. My hair is sparse so my trims are periodic. The barber overcut my hair and totally butchered it. The sides are uneven and the back has an odd patch of hair and it doesn't match the mess he made. He even had me sit with my back to the mirror so I couldn't see what he was doing. I observed him watching the TV above the mirror instead of paying attention to trimming my hair.
