But man, this was 7 years ago and I still get angry thinking about it. I was in my mid/late 20's when I bought my car from them. I have tattoos, piercings, and at the time my hair was either neon green and blue, or hot pink and purple (can't remember which one). Im used to the staring, the pointing, the not so quiet whispers. I'm all too familiar with strangers taking one look at me and deciding that they know the kind of person I am, and the people who worked here were no different. I went to purchase one of their cars. I brought everything they asked me to. I had $4,200 cash for the down payment, copy of my paystubs, and a print out of my bank statement as well. They gave me my bank statement back, and they said they still needed additional income verification, and that I needed to bring in the cancelled checks. I told them that there was no way I was going to be able to get them. My mom owns her own business, I work for her. She was out of state caring for her parents who were both 95+ years old, one of which had both Alzheimer's and dementia. There was just no way she would have been able to take the time to do that. They wouldn't budge on it, so i said that's fine, and I left. A day or two after that, I got an email from them telling me that they cleared it with the bank, and to go ahead and come in and purchase the car. I emailed back and said "so the cancelled checks are no longer necessary?" And they said I did not need the cancelled checks, and to come in and make the purchase. So that's what I did. The whole process was uncomfortable. They were rude and demeaning but I went through with the purchase anyways. There was another couple in there purchasing a different Mercedes. He said he didn't like the wheel center caps on the car he was purchasing, and that he wanted ones from a different Mercedes out there. They happily obliged. When I was leaving, I noticed the car I just purchased didn't even have mats (can't believe I didn't notice during the test drive). When I said something to one of the workers, he just replied "buy some on Amazon" and walked back inside. A day or two later I received an email from Elegant Auto. The email requested that I send them cancelled checks. Before I went back to purchase the car, I made it a point to make sure the checks weren't needed, and they said they weren't. That is the only reason I made the purchase. They then insinuated that my proof of income was fake (paystubs and bank statements), and then straight up accused me of lying about my employment just because I work for my mother. They said I had two options. I could send them the cancelled checks, or I could return the car by the end of the day. I told them, like I had said from the get go, I couldn't get them the cancelled checks, and I had also just gone out of town, so I couldn't return it by end of day even if I wanted to. I asked them why my bank statements weren't enough, and they just kept saying that the bank needed the cancelled checks and if I couldn't bring the car back that day, they were going to send someone out to repo it. They said if I'm not lying about my employment then getting the cancelled checks shouldn't be an issue. I called the bank to see what I could do, and they told me that they had no idea why Elegant Auto had lied and said that the bank no longer needed the checks. They also said that my bank statement, even without the deposits, would be fine as long as it shows a sufficient amount deposited into my account monthly. After sending her my bank statement, she said I made way more than enough, and she approved my loan. She said that they either needed the checks OR the bank statements, and she had no idea why the dealership refused to take my bank statements and kept insisting only on the cancelled checks. They were rude, judgmental, told me I was lying about my income and my employment just because I work for my mother's company, they had me come purchase a vehicle under false pretenses, and then a day later threatened to send someone to repo the vehicle from me if I didn't send them documents that they said specifically ensured me that they didn't need, and that I repeatedly said I didn't have! And wouldn't accept my bank statements as proof of income, demanding only the cancelled checks, even though BOTH were accepted forms of proof of income as long as they showed that I had enough money coming in! It felt like they thought that if I couldn't come up with the checks, then that would prove that they were right and that I was lying. I know this review is all over the place. I really wish I wrote this when everything happened and it was fresh on my mind. I'm pretty sure that I have left out quite a few things. And like I said, this was in 2019. I don't know if it's any different now, but honestly, I don't care to find out.

Vehicle listed for 7999..asked for the out the door price ,the owner told me it was 10500. I did the math for sale taxes in my area which is 9% and added an extra 500 to 600 for fees. The rims were factory and the tints had some bubbles.. The car would not stay running, so once they swapped the battery for a battery that was not rated for the vehicle . We have gone in twice now for a recall repair and still have yet to have the work done. My husband made an appointment for the recall repair after an oil change and (despite having an appointment) was told it would take them 4 hours to get the car in and completed. The repair is supposed to be 2 hours long. He rescheduled the appointment for this morning at 8am. Well, this time he sat around there for 2 hours and they didn't even start the work. They also had told him they could shuttle him home after dropping off the car, but failed to mention the shuttle doesn't start until 9am, when his appointment was at 8am. Once it turned 9, no one came to offer a shuttle ride. Then at 10 he went to check in and was told the car hadn't even been taken back yet. We understand sometimes staff are out or other things happen to cause delays but at least communicate. It's really not that hard. Very frustrating, especially when this is for a recall as it is. We will take our business elsewhere.

It was unsafe, and clearly should not have been sold in that condition. When I brought it back, they started talking about a $500 restocking fee, even though I had barely driven the car, hadn't finished submitting paystubs, and the deal wasn't even finalized. They're now refusing to give me my refund. To make matters worse, when I came to return the car and was waiting for police to show they locked the gates and made me HOP the fence just to leave. Completely unprofessional. The guy I dealt with, Eric, acted shady and dismissive the entire time. This place is not trustworthy and doesn't stand behind the garbage cars they're selling. Don't fall for the slick talk -- they'll leave you with a broken car and no money back. Go somewhere reputable.
