Highly disappointed, 9 months pregnant so I order a deep fried roll. Before I ordered I specifically asked if it was fully cooked he ensured it was. However I received the roll and it was not. I also called the sister location for verification purposes and they also confirmed that the roll is not fully cooked. Will never return, it's not worth a few dollars risking the life of a mom and a baby seriously
Food: I think the owner or chefs have changed. I've been here before, and I really did not enjoy it so it stopped me from going back in the past. I just came recently, and the quality of the sushi and food has changed, it's pretty darn decent! Everything I ordered was pretty tasty and well put together. Presentation was a plus. It was nice to look at and not want to eat it's Service: hostess sat us as soon as we arrived. Waitresses allowed us enough time to look over the menu, and was not hovering over us, even gave us recommendations. They were very attentive. Ambiance: the place has always had a nice vibe, it's more like bar/lounge type, they do have an open sushi bar, and a private room for large parties.
I'm honestly baffled at the quality of service we experienced here. From the second we walked in the door, our visit felt off. It was fairly busy and we were asked if we were interested in sitting at the bar, even though there were some tables available. We agreed thinking they would sit us at the front of the bar. That did not happen. They put us in the corner next to a stack of dirty dishes and around 15 used glasses. The bartender was clearly overburdened and the other servers continued to pile on. We ordered drinks and a few sushi rolls. The drinks came out pretty quickly, but that was about it. We were sitting in an awkward section of the bar and the bar tender kept awkwardly reaching over to place things instead of walking around the bar. After our food arrived, she reached over our food with a drink and spilled a drink in our freshly delivered tuna tower. She apologized but no offer to make a new one or comp the dish. I was shocked that there was no attempt to make this right. Ruining a $20 plate and nothing but an apology. We also didn't have chopsticks or silverware when our food was brought out (which took an hour). When our food finally did come, our server prioritized her repeat customers over us and brought them silverware WHEN THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE FOOD YET, meanwhile our food was sitting in front of us while she gave the last set to this other person and had to go find more. I felt bad tipping 15% here but a $140 bill for this experience was just crazy. I will gladly go back to Wabi Sabi, which is directly across the street. Equally good food and much better customer experience.

Maybe, probably not coming back. I went with my toddler on a Friday for lunch. We were greeted in such a friendly way and I appreciate that given that it helps keep my toddler engaged. Ambiance was great. Dark inside and most customers were there for a work lunch. The food was the sad part. We ordered fried rice chicken (flavor was good but usually cooked with green peas which was missing), hot green tea (no problem here), miso soup (no problem here), pretty woman roll (decent but the best), chefs special smoked salmon (yummy), and salmon nigiri. Salmon nigiri - I had to ask them to remake it bc it had black specks on the fish. I'm unsure of what or why there were 1-2 black specks on it but a new one was given to me. The new one had a fish scale on it and this is the first time I've had fish scale served with my sushi. Not the best presentation or first impression so I won't return. Thank you for being kind to my kiddo though!
Out of the five years I lived off Western Center exit, I never gave MK's Sushi a try. Yes, I passed it quite a few times but it is tucked behind Racetrac and Smoothie King in the strip mall so I never made the stop. Tonight we decided to double date with our neighbor as a family night! Their kiddos have never eaten sushi rolls, so why not? Parking is a bit limited, thankfully some vehicles had just pulled out so we had some spaces. Once we entered, we were seated immediately. My husband rated this a 3.5, mostly for the great service; however, he said his sesame chicken wasn't the best. He said it wasn't hot nor cold, and the flavor wasn't there for him. He still prefers Wabi Sabi across the street. That being said he didn't try ANY of the sushi which is the reason I rated much higher. I ordered the crunch roll, Heart Attack, and a California roll for my daughter and I to share. All of which were AMAZING, I stuffed myself which is bad I know. But I didn't want to stop eating! My daughter was obsessed with the California roll and we ended up ordering a plate to-go. The sushi line took the longest to receive, but everything else we ordered arrived quickly. Here is my advice: if you are looking for sushi, this is your place! If you're looking for orange chicken or sesame chicken, go to Wabi across the street or even Panda Express down Beach Street(if you're looking for cheap). I saw BULGOGI on the menu, I would be interested if it tasted good here. Perhaps try that and write a review so I can read it :) Great service and great sushi, end of story!
At MK sushi I will not lie, we were sat down and not talked to for a little while. We were contemplating leaving but after some time a gentleman named Yung came and asked us if we had been waited on and apologized. He was extremely fast, generous and completely turned around our experience. The food was delicious along with the vibe so we will definitely be back again.
Haven't been to this location in a bit, as other sushi locations have opened closer to me. MK has always had great sushi, so looked forward to picking up 2 rolls and a bowl of miso soup. Friday night, 7:30pm, was advised it would take 30 mins. No problem... Came back home and the sushi was exactly as ordered. Great flavor too. However, we only received 1/2 a cup of miso soup...? Overall, not a deal breaker but not sure what happened here. Will try them again.

We have been coming to MK's Sushi for over 18 years and it is just as good now as it was back then. MK is a total sweetheart and down to earth business owner. The bonus now, is their bartender Savanna! She is such a ray of sunshine. She makes great conversation, is very personable and makes yummy martinis too. She definitely is a keeper and will have us coming back for more. Keep up the great work Savanna, MK and the entire staff. read more

We came here due to the proximity to our hotel...boy was that a mistake. The " House Special" food selection is so bad its honestly sad. Only decent food was the appetizer of Gyoza and Crab Wontons Gyoza - 7/10 Crab Wontons - 8/10 Orange chicken 3/10 - Lacked flavor "Fried rice" - wasn't actually fried rice, just looks like they put bits and pieces of egg in there and like a tiny bit of soy sauce, no veggies in it or any flavor. Was so bland, we should've just gotten the steamed rice.... - 1/10 Fountain drinks - So watered down, barely any fizz to it. -2/10 Sesame Chicken - 2/10 - Lacked flavor When we were seated we were handed only one menu for the two of us, and a paper with a pencil...we didnt know how to order, weve never been here the staff wasnt so helpful with that, The waitress was somewhat attentive, but the cherry on top to this horrid experience was having who im guess is the owner/manager spilling my miso soup all over me and the table. Dont get me wrong accidents happen, but he didnt clean the table properly which made it the surface of the table super sticky when we were eating. Driving back into town, we exited for a quick bite to eat. The service was great- friendly and attentive The restaurant (including the restrooms) was very clean. Dinner overall was just so-so. Not bad, but nothing that really stood out. That said, I did really enjoy their seared truffle salmon special -- it was the highlight of my meal. Food is great, fresh, tasty and presentation is beautiful. Service always good and the happy hour selection is good. You need to try the Romance Roll my favorite One the sushi chef is back and the presentation of the rolls are great Ambiance is great for couples, family and groups in special room read more

I ordered soft shell crab as an appetizer and miso ramen tonkotsu as my main dish using my Uber Eats app three days in a row. Each time my order arrived just as tasty, fresh, and well made as the day before. The broth is delivered in its own container to prevent overcooking the other ingredients and noodles. The soft boiled egg actually arrives soft boiled and the (said) bok choy is tender crisp. The soft shell crab was nicely fried with an outer coating still crunchy. Nothing was over or undercooked. This can be extra challenging, considering my order was delivered and not eaten at the actual restaurant. Beware, the "spicy" option is exactly that! I recommend requesting this to be included on the side, so that you can control the heat level to your liking. read more
Overall it was a good first experience. Went to MK's for dinner on a Thursday night and were seated immediately. The restaurant is pretty dim lit inside with the bar areas being more well lit. Our server was attentive but the waiter was overly "joking" that it was hard to know whether he was actually understanding our orders or not. They do not use disposable chopsticks, they have stainless steel chopsticks which was an interesting change from the norm at a sushi restaurant. We ordered the Heart Attack appetizer and it was okay. The filling to jalapeno ratio was underwhelming and one piece was so minimal on the filling that the heat from the jalapeño was a lot. We then ordered the Pacific and Jalapeño rolls. Both were excellent tasting but the Pacific roll was falling apart anytime we tried to pick up a piece. The Jalapeño roll was almost too big that you couldn't put a whole piece in your mouth at once so you had to take bites out of it which meant you couldn't enjoy all the filling flavors at once. Overall it was okay. The pricing was a lot but the quality of the food was great. We may return if we are in the area again. read more

I've been to MK's a couple of times and have had only pleasant experiences. Recently I've been ordering bentos for pick up and holy moly are they worth it. The price ranges around 10 to 12 dollars but you get so much food that its definitely worth it! The spicy roll bento is indeed spicy but if you want a nice selection I'd go with the roll bento that has a fried roll, a cali roll and a spicy roll. All the bentos include edamame, miso soup, and a side salad. Trust me, you'll be so full! Dining in they have pretty amazing cocktails and the rolls are also yummy! Our favorite is the rainbow roll and the MK roll! You can't really go wrong at MK's! read more

First time trying this place, but I've heard good things about it a long time ago. It's definitely worth going. I went during happy hour 4:30-7. I walked in and saw someone getting shrimp tempura, but we got spicy fried calamari instead because we always get it at every place. It was perfectly crispy, with an airy crunch and the squid wasn't as chewy as other places. It also had delicious dipping sauces to go with it. For our main course, I personally like the Las Vegas roll better but my boyfriend likes the fireball roll because it was "tempura"/fried. But they're both really good depending on your taste. Now that we live in Ft Worth, I have to scout out new Happy Hour spots. It's a job that I take seriously. LOL! A good Happy Hour focuses just as much on food as it does on drinks. MK's does just that. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were warmly greeted and treated. I was driving so my hubby took advantage of that and downed some soju bombs...,and yes, he fell asleep as soon as we got home :-) I had the Femme Fatale martini which was perfect and only lightly sweet. The good food also assured that we will be back -- pork gyoza, calamari, spicy crab roll, and spicy salmon roll -- yummy & fresh. HH starts at 3:30PM. WE arrived early. Other customers began flowing in about 4:30 PM. The restaurant is dimly lit, cozy, and decorated with a clean, modern look, so it would make a good date spot. It's tucked away in a strip mall, so it's easy to miss from the main rod. As of this review, the online menu is up to date. Check 'em out. read more

Tried this spot out with family that came into town. We were both craving sushi and this was the closest for us. They don't do same day reservations which is okay because the wait wasn't bad at all. The restaurant is clean by the tables are pretty close together (not sure if you care about that). The restroom was also clean too. The manager was very attentive and continually checked on our table. The waitress gave great recommendations for me, when I go to new sushi places I tend to get the house favorite and it always works out for me. My cousin for the deep fried jalapeño roll and I could tell just looking at it that it wasn't the best. It looked cold which is interesting for deep fried but she said it was "just okay" I ordered the tango roll and it was great. It didn't seem as fresh as other sushi's I've had but it was still good. Also my other cousin got the Louisiana roll and he enjoyed it as well. It just didn't seem the freshest. read more

I had dinner at MK's Sushi recently. It was fantastic in every way. If I could give 6 or 7 stars - I would. The place was fairly busy but I received a warm and friendly greeting from an elegant lady that may have been the manager or owner - not sure. She seated me immediately. Within moments a happy nice young waitress took my order and patiently answered some of my questions about sushi. I am allergic to all shellfish and avocados so I need to be careful. I ordered a sushi roll and the tempura vegetables. When that was complete, the bartender came by on my side of the bar and took my drink order for a dirty gin martini. He made it immediately and brought it to me. It was delicious, ice cold, and well blended with the right ratio of gin, olive juice, and dry vermouth. Most places have a hard time making a smooth martini. This one was excellent. My food arrived quickly. The sushi roll was fresh and delicious and the tempura was light and crispy while the veggies within were the perfect doneness - cooked but with a touch of firmness. They clearly stay on top of keeping fresh oil in the fryers. Cleanliness is important to me in a restaurant. This place was spotless, including the restrooms, the bar area, the table top - everything. At the end of my meal, the manager lady came by to ask me how everything was (it was great), and thanked me for coming in. Her sincerity and friendly attitude made me feel appreciated and welcomed. The bottom line is - if you are looking for a delicious meal in a setting with a wonderful, clean, and modern vibe, with prompt, excellent, friendly, service - this place is it. For those concerned with some of the other reviews and comments about service - I had checked on yelp before I went and, being the blunt person that I am, I asked the lady in charge about it. She said the restaurant was aware of the issue and had been working hard to improve and address every concern possible, and had gone as far as making management changes in order to do so. read more
