As soon as I walked into the place it smell amazing. This place has a nice vibe to it the menu was pretty large that you can see from my pictures but I end up choosing the chicken and shrimp meal and it came with soup, salad a lot of things. So from a meal I ordered the clear suit which is a chicken broth and it came to the table smelling good you can smell the seasoning mom and it tasted very good especially on a leaving like this where it's very cool outside. A meal came out the chicken and shrimp with the vegetables I didn't order any Rice and noodles. However they cook the vegetables it was purple and they were flavorful they went dry it up just perfect and the chicken shrimp was so doggone tender and good. The German who's at the counter when walking was very friendly good nice I'm definitely come back.

Super great reasonably priced lunch deal. I got chicken hibachi, amazing flavors and perfect portion, plus came with an amazing sauce and soup. Cannot ask for more than this at lunch. Affordable, quick, and the most delicious thing you'll eat all day.

They delivered food with one of the rolls, completely broken

They send me my food, completely broken, I don't understand. How can a role be so destroyed. I'm disappointed. This is unacceptable. I demand a refund. Horrible place. Will never order here again.

The absolute worst service in Fort Worth. Ordered the hibachi steak medium and it came out well done. Burnt. The guy "chef" was dealing with another upset customer at the counter and our main dish took for ever to come out and when we inquired as to what was taking sooo long he got an attitude. Waiting 30 minutes after your salad and soup is ridiculous and then for it be overcooked. Literally we are talking about steak, fried rice and Veggies. We WILL NOT BE BACK! My sister loves this place and I will admit the salad and Miso soup was perfect.

It's not a fancy place, very casual. I have been here 3 times and every time I was nicely welcomed with free tea. Sushi, hibachi, miso soup everything I ordered was fresh and tasty. Employees always were very friendly. It took like 15 mins to be served which I think is normal for the busy place.

We really love the atmosphere at Ashim Hibachi. The food is always delicious, everything is prepared perfectly. Definitely recommend!

My son and I came here at the recommendation of our hospitality host at our hotel. My son and I showed up and were greeted by Mia. She informed us we couldn't get a hibachi table like we had hoped but her kindness and sweet disposition made up for our disappointment. My son ordered a salmon bento and I ordered steak hibachi. We opted to sit at a booth but my son ended up at the sushj bar as he watched Junior chef it up. He made for great company and come to find out he is from SoCal which is pretty awesome because we are from central CA. He even made my son a tasty tempura cheesecake. The food was really good. I will definitely be back. Let's not forget to add, my son accidentally spilled his miso and of course who came to save the day...? Miss Mia of course.

Easy spot in Sundance to get a quick bite before a show. They have a very large menu & rolls. The rolls come with either miso or salad.

Great service and great food . Ordered through GrubHub and Everything was great. Even after them closing they accommodated my order and had it delivered to my hotel lobby.

Sashimi sampler was a good price and the assortment was good. There was a pretty long wait for the bento boxes and our group of 4 had our food come out at different times which made it awkward to start eating. I like whatever the dressing was on a the salad that was included with the meal.

Alaskan roll, cowboy roll, Sundance square roll.

If you've been wanting to try this place, I'd definitely recommend arriving early. Parking was probably the most challenging part of the visit. There was a rummage sale happening nearby, so the area was busier than usual. They do have a designated parking lot, but it's very small and fills up quickly. Most people will likely need to rely on street parking, which took a little patience that day. The restaurant itself is tiny, but that's part of the charm. There's a bar area that seats around 10 to 12 people and only a handful of tables. We were a party of three and were seated right away, but I could see larger groups having a harder time finding space together. The tables are also on the smaller side, so once the food starts arriving things can get a little crowded. That said, the food completely lived up to the hype. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chicken karaage was crispy and flavorful, the marinated ribeye was tender and packed with flavor, and my favorite dish of the night was easily the beef yakisoba. We each ordered a starter, three skewers, and a side that our server recommended, and every plate disappeared quickly. The atmosphere felt lively and busy, with Japanese figurines and decorations displayed throughout the restaurant. I overheard another guest mention that it reminded them of places they had visited in Japan, which made me appreciate the attention to detail even more. One thing to note - we were told they don't split bills, which wasn't a problem for our group, but it's something to know ahead of time if you're dining with friends.

Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is a Japanese hand roll restaurant that focuses on fresh seafood,…read moremade-to-order sushi, and a more interactive dining experience. We walked into a space centered around sitting at the bar and watching the chefs prepare each hand roll in front of us, which gave the meal a more personal feel compared to a traditional sushi restaurant. The setup is smaller and more intimate, making the experience feel closer to a sushi bar rather than a casual meal spot. The biggest highlight is the quality of the fish and the hand rolls themselves. The seafood tastes fresh, clean, and carefully prepared, with options like salmon belly, otoro, kanpachi, and crab hand rolls standing out. We ordered a few different rolls and found each one well executed, with the fish having a clean, bright flavor that did not rely on heavy sauces or toppings. Each roll is made individually, so the nori stays crisp and the textures come through better than pre-made sushi. The menu has a good balance of classic choices and more creative combinations, making it easy to try different flavors throughout the meal. The chef interaction adds another layer to the visit. Since everything is prepared right in front of you, we could see the attention put into each piece, from assembling the ingredients to serving it at the right moment. The chefs were precise in their movements and took the time to explain the different fish and flavor profiles, which made the meal feel more like an experience rather than just ordering sushi off a menu. One thing to plan for is the wait. Hatsuyuki does not take reservations, and the popularity means there can be a significant line during busy hours. We arrived earlier and found it helped us avoid a longer wait. Seating is limited, but that also helps maintain the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant. The intimate size of the bar means the service stays focused and the pacing remains personal, even when the restaurant is full. Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is one of the stronger sushi experiences in the area for anyone who enjoys fresh seafood and a more curated dining style. The wait can be a downside, but the quality of the fish, chef preparation, and overall atmosphere make it worth visiting, especially if you are looking for something beyond standard sushi rolls. The focus on craftsmanship and the personal interaction with the chefs elevate the meal into something more memorable than a typical sushi stop.

This was our second time, and it was completely packed within 10 minutes of opening for lunch. The waiter mentioned that they also have an omakase which I plan to do next time, but unfortunately we didn't have the time. Hesitantly we decided to eat before we stopped off at Lowe's and headed back to finish. Stay with me here. We were a little dirty. Not filthy. Not like we had mud all over us but dressed in work out clothes. Super casual. We entered and asked for a booth, The hostess took us to the back end of the booth where there were tables filled with other patrons. I wanted a bit more privacy and asked her to sit one booth back. She said no. Not to be deterred I sit down at the booth we wanted and felt most Comfortable. We wanted some privacy and not have people all around us. The request was to literally sit one booth back...this hostess wasn't having it. She literally demanded we sit at her booth of choice. Today, it became a "I'm not moving". She "slams" the menus and walks off. That behavior had to be addressed. I'm a reasonable person but expect a certain level of customer service. After all the price of eating out....isn't cheap these days and We eat here all the time. In fact, I became the DUKE again when checking in today.... #1 patron! I take great pride in the title. I discussed my frustration with the manager. When I asked to speak with her the hostess pointed to a manager sitting at the table vs going and getting her. Rude was an understatement. The manager didn't seem overly concerned. All said, the food was wonderful. The Tuna Tower (we ask for no rice) needed more avocado. The Pan Seared dumplings Devine as usual and of course the crab Rangoon are other worldly. The spicy bad girl roll was tasty. We added cream cheese. My sister gets her usual....every time. Hibachi Filet mignon, fried rice and Ginger Salad. It's her absolute favorite and she enjoyed every bite. I don't think one person should drive the overall review but today's experience was stressful...The food 5 Stars. Consistent. That said the hostess has influence and today's 1 star review is for her an her alone. We also ran into Lencho. Lencho is the absolute best waiter. Sundays though he works on the hibachi grill side. Bummer. His smile would have turned the experience around. He's that good and we love him. This is the second time where We've not experience the best customer service. Kyushu ownership should take note.....Some southern hospitality goes a long way. Look no further than to Lencho!
