I went there for my kid to experience what he called "treadmill sushi". The food was good, but nothing special. I wish the prices had been more clearly marked. I have been to other places where they tell you how much each plate cost. The waitress was missing for most of our meal and we had to go find her for chopsticks and a to go box. The rolls consisted of the same type of fish (salmon or tuna or shrimp) with rice and some type of sauce or no sauce. The hostess, who also happened to be one of the wait staff, was on her phone a good portion of the time so she couldn't see us when we wanted refills on our drinks or when we wanted the check. The quality of the fish is in my opinion a lot better than most other revolving sushi bars, they have lot of options and are kid friendly. However, my best advice is to double check your receipt. I come here with my family quite often and without fail there is always added items on my receipt that were not ordered. This previous time it was a $17 bottle of sake, I didn't order. I got to my car and checked the text receipt and had to go back in to ask for this to be corrected. Since this was not the first time they have charged me for items not ordered or added too many plates to my bill, just be sure to check your bill before paying. read more

Akarii Revolving Sushi is a unique concept and worth going to once. A rotating conveyor belt brings around different dishes, and you can take what you'd like. Keep in mind that you do pay per plate, so choose carefully! You can also special order things from the kitchen which also arrive via conveyor. It was cool to watch the plates zip around. Service left a little to be desired. The servers looked terribly unhappy and were pretty inattentive. I was never able to get a water refill. There was a serious fly problem too that really detracted from my overall experience. It was super gross. The dishes were just okay. I special ordered some vegetarian dishes and they were fine, but nothing particularly amazing. The pricing is fair though, so I can't complain too much. There was a hair under the sushi on my plate. They "generously" offered to not charge me for that plate and said I could order another roll free of charge. But then when we paid our check they said only the plate with the hair was taken off of the bill. I don't appreciate being lied to and more importantly the food was sub par. Akarii is a cool spot to eat from time to time, and the experience is awesome! The revolving sushi thing is so cool, and my fiancé and I genuinely enjoyed our experience there. It's so much fun! We also loved how we really didn't have to interact with the staff much; we ordered our drinks, and from there, we did everything ourselves. I really liked the Inari sushi there, which has the tofu wrap and rice on the inside; I had a few plates of that. My fiancé absolutely loved the fried rice, and the shrimp tempura; the squid tempura was "incredible" in his words. I really like the variety here. My main complaint is that the actual sushi (like, the salmon nigiri for example) is just not great quality and isn't fresh, but obviously it's not going to be at a place like this. My suggestion is to order straight from the kitchen, and stick more to rolls, cooked fish, or other dishes (like the ramen, tempura, etc). Even ordering the raw fish from the kitchen... it's just not that great. The vibe is cool here, and it's great for a date night. I have eaten at Akarii by myself twice now and I love it! Their rolls and dishes are fresh and very tasty. Unlike other revolving sushi restaurants, their "singles" row isn't tucked away and isolated but is front and center with nice foot traffic which doesn't make you feel isolated when you are dining by yourself.
