Got a screw in my tire and just needed it patched. Unfortunately it is on a Saturday of a holiday weekend and I could not get an appointment anywhere to get it fixed. Ended up calling here and the man said bring it over right now. When I pulled up it was a house and I wasn't sure if I really should even go in but he opened his gate and I pulled in and he fixed it in 10 minutes and he only charged me $35!!! I went here to obtain a used tire. When I showed up, I explained what I needed, confirmed price and asked if they preferred cash. They said yes and off I went to the bank to get cash from the bank, one off of Rancho California and Ynez. When I returned, the shop was wide open with no one in site. I walked through the shop calling out with no response. I walked the building and I returned, still no one. I waited 10-15 minutes and still no one. I paid 58 dollars for what he said was a new tire with debit card and he was being rude because i didnt have cash! Theres not even signs that say cash only! My wife went to this establishment reccomend by family. Manuel was very nice and helped out my wife. He replaced two tires . During conversations with MY WIFE he asked for her number several times and declined multiple times he then proceeded to ask if she had a whats up app and if he could talk to her there... she again declined and felt very uncomfortable. When it came to payment he then tried to over charge her. She disputed that she has never paid that much for two used tires . They negotiated price . Then MY WIFE shocked that he then made a gesture and said "OR" and padded on the couch he was sitting on next to to him as he gave her a look. I'm honestly shocked and a bit annoyed at how many good reviews this company has. I had such a terrible experience. I went to the shop first at 4:30 and the door was locked. So I decided to call, total side note I hate when I call a business and they say "hello", I shouldn't have to ask if I'm calling the right business or feel like I got some random persons number. I asked for a quote for tires and said I would need 4. I can't afford to get new tires and was recommended here by TWO people. I was basically told I need to go get new ones because there is nothing that they can do... seriously? I called because I can't afford new ones, if I could I would of just gotten new ones. I got a flat tire in Temecula. I drive a new Bmw, so there was no spare tire, it has a run flat so I was pretty limited on where I could drive. I called around honesty probably 25 different tire shops. No one had my tire size (295/30/20) toyo proxes. It's a rare tire size and no shops stock it. THE ONLY PLACE TO SWITCH OUT MY USED 80% thread tire. All the other shops came with excuses including walmart, Ramona tires, Mountain view tires and other places around. All try try to do is sell you a new tire and tell you its a liability issue. Which is a joke. I will bring my business here from now on. I showed up at 8 the guy didn't show up till about 8:45, I let it go the dude was sick I get it... But then he says he doesn't have the tires he said he had over the phone an hour prior! I can't stand that about used tire shops they tell you oh yeah we have them and I show up for nothing, anyways... He had some smaller tires that would fit my rim but there wasn't much tread at all so I talked him down 10$, cool now we're on the right track, or so I thought. He tells me to put my car on his lift and guides me in, my car is lower than most and him being the professional I assumed he'd know if my car would be ok since he's guiding me in? Nope my car drops onto the lift and it's way to low and the bottom of my car was touching the lift preventing me from taking the clutch out of first gear and into any other. I tell him what's going on and he just kept this "oh well" attitude about it... Then when "I" tell him to grab a jack to lift up my rear cause he had no idea what to do nor did he seem to care much, once he lifted the back my clutch freed up and I was able to move through gears... But my car was still in the life... I tried pushing but the gravel the jack was on was so crappy it didn't want to budge.... Seeing how I didn't have many options, while on the jack I put it into reverse reaaaaally slow while he dropped the jack... My pregnant wife was with me and it was my birthday what a horrible scary experience.. I don't have the money to fix my clutch if I lost my car right now it would have been all bad for my family and I'm upset he put me in that situation... I mean it was his shop and I'm the one going through his tires looking for a fit and finding a way to get my car out safely.... Where in the heck was the professionalism. I have used MMG Tires for three years now and they have provided great support for my 4 cars. It allowed me to have some great used tires while I got the funds to get brand new tires. I bought some new tires also at some competitive prices. They also have repaired many of my rims for my Mercedes. Those rims are aluminum and can crack and bend easily. I called Manuel (owner of MMG Tires) and asked if he had used tires in good condition for a LandRover. He checked his inventory and said "Yes" he had a couple of tires with very good tread life still in them. I went to his facility and Manuel was very honest in showing me the wear problems with the old tires on my car. His prices were very good so I purchased 4 high quality used tires for my LandRover. I watched him as he removed the old tires and mounted and "balanced" the new (used) tires that he was putting on. He actually upgraded the brand name for the replacement tires that he put on and he did not charge anymore than the amount he had previously quoted me. I am very cautious about buying anything "used" for my car but I am very pleased with the "used" tires that Manuel put on my car and my overall experience with this company MMG Tires & Rims was EXCELLENT .... !!!
