My father recommended this place to me when I wanted an iPod adapter installed in my SUV. I would agree with the other reviews that the place itself (and some of the clientele) look shady. But the people here definitely know what they're doing. And it was cheap! The total including tax was about $160.00 My installation cost a little more than most cars. I think they advertise the price for most cars at $99.00. I had to wait a few hours for the installation, but I came in pretty late. I just took the bus home to wait for bit. By the time I finished watching one episode on tv and took the bus back, my car was all ready! They really did a nice job, and now I don't have to listen to the radio or make CDs for my car anymore! read more

These people treat their customers so wrong. I took my vehicle this place to put a DVD Player in for the kids and the next day the battery went dead, I thought maybe the kids left the TV on, so I waited a couple more days. It kept draining my battery dead. So I told my husband to take the car for them to fix it, they told my husband that I had told them to connect it this way, totally not true. next day same thing, I called they said I needed a new battery and hung up the phone on me, bought a new battery, still same drained battery, went back to the place and they disconnected everything and still. So I took my vehicle to the Electrical Mechanic and they said the people that put in the TV didn't know what they were doing, they damaged my BCM (Body Control Module ) and they left proof cause they spliced into it. point of story is I called the owner and he said they didn't do anything wrong and they aren't paying for any repairs which are costing me $1000.00 So yes the stuff is cheap there but the installers don't know what the Bleep they are doing. And this is very unfair I just wanted to do something special for my children. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! If you want quality and good service this is not place to spend your hard earned money. Had a remote start installed and had nothing but problems (it won't start, alarm and trunk release stopped functioning). After my third attempt in six weeks to get it repaired and receiving attitude from the shop owner. I went to SHOWTIME AUDIO on NORTH AVE, professional and courteous. The product that Mobile Audio & Alarm installed in my automobile was a generic no name brand and jimmie rigged it to my old alarm system. My family and I have been going to this business for years. Alarms, Radios, amplifiers, subs you name it they installed for me. Also a lifetime warranty that's not needed because they do a great job. I recommend everyone here. I've been to different shops but this one tops it off. They might not be the friendliest but it's guarantee quality. If I can give this place negative stars I would. This place is terrible. I has a remote start and alarm installed on my car and it drained my battery because they installed it wrong. I took it back twice but each time the wait time was going to be 4 hours or more. These people are crooks. They didn't install the bypass for the autolights and this drained my battery. I had to pay 220 to get this fixed. The place showed me Pics and these guys did really sloppy and unprofessional work. Stay away if you want to avoid crappy work. read more

would give this place 0 stars if i could! this place sucks balls! the old bruce jenner wanna be at the front was extremely rude. came in for a remote starter and they said it would be 2 hours and it took almost 4! guy who was fixing my car was incredibly rude and when we came in to check in on the car 2 hours after we came in, not only was he watching porn on his phone, he said, very rudely, that he just started 10 minutes ago because he was eating lunch. when we asked for a refund, or at least partial if not full because they kept having problems with my car, problems caused by them, he said "oh sure! lets all go on a trip to the f-ing bahamas too!" place is probably violating countless violations. so disgusting and gross and COLD! please save your money and do not come here. read more

need to retract my previous review....I gave them a decent review BUT a month since the installation, my spare KEY FOB stopped working. I have made 3 trips back to them to get this repaired and there is still a problem. Wish I had spent a few extra bucks and not have to deal with the aggravation and lost time. Before I read these comments on Yelp, I called Mobile Audio. See, I bought a 7" screen stereo for my car and needed a special dash kit to install it. I searched the web and one of the responses was Mobile Audio. I called and spoke to a guy there, He had this "Oh Well" attitude. He did not sound like if he cared to have me as a customer. I told him that due to the size of my new stereo, the dash kit may neede to be modified a bitl His response was: "Thats ok, it probably won't look pretty but we'll get it in there". My car is only 1 year old. It Won't look pretty isnt acceptable for me. The price he quoted me for the install was great, but I could not bring myself to visit them considering the conversation I had with this man. After calling Mobile Audio, I read the comments on Yelp and I must say, I'm very happy that I did not visit Mobile Audio. Everything that I read on Yelp seems to be accurate per my conversation with Mobile Audio. You just don't treat customers or potential customers with that attitude. Looks like I had a near miss. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! First off they told me on the phone the TOTAL for the gift card for the remote start we got my father in law was 288.00 I gave my credit card # & they charged 300.00! even though it isn't much more, never in all my life have I had someone over the phone charge me a different amount than what was agreed on! Then I clearly told the owner (who by the way is a very cranky older man who has zero professionalism) that my F.I.L. lived out of state so I would need an appt. for the day after Christmas & he would have to wait for it. He said no problem & we set the time for 11 A.M. My husband went with him & after they dropped the car off & were told it would take 3 hours, so they walked across the street to go eat. Then by 2:30 p.m. they were wondering what the progress was as it should've been done a half hour ago, so my husband walked around & found the car & it wasn't taken apart at all so he figured they must be done & forgot to call them up. So he went up to the counter & a man was walking up who told him that he was just getting the parts together to first start it! My husband said well it was supposed to be done at 2. The man said oh well they just told me about it now. So husband asked how long? The man said about 2 hrs. They were finally done at 4:45. So it took them 5 hours & 45 min! We live rather far but if we had been told this to begin with we would've been better off dropping off the car. I called the next day & spoke to Sam who claimed to be the manager & he said that they did take the car in an hour late at noon but from noon to 2:30 they were preparing wires & you don't need the car apart for that!! I later told my husband & he died laughing at such a ridiculous lie. I then asked Sam for my money back to my card that they over charged as I thought that was the VERY LEAST they could do. He said ok call me later with your card info because I'm not up front! I called a few hours later & he said he had to call me back & never did! My poor husband had to go to work all night driving in snow (he's a truck driver) on zero sleep because of these idiots. And my F.I.L had to leave to get home a day later as he doesn't drive at night & he's 7 hours away. We will never ever do business with them again. From now on my husband will do any of our remote starts, he knows how but this place is the cheapest around so we thought why not instead of going through the trouble. But it would've been much less trouble for him to do himself. I guess you get what you pay for! People please don't take your car here because of their low prices, you will be so disappointed. Came in to mobile audio with my 2005 saturn vue to get install an alarm and remote starter they told me it was going to be done in 3 hours and it took them 6 hours to finish my car and when they gave me the key and the remote it was not having the lcd remote then they install the lcd remote and when I see the lcd remote it was not the alarm that I pick and I told the guy that install it and he told the owner and he says all with attitude that's what u pick and when I told him no that was not the one I pick he told me oh well all the alarms are the same. Then when I took it home I noticed my passenger side heated seat is not working they messed it up and the lcd remote is not working neither not even the car been park in front of the house it only work when it feel like it. Then I went back to them and told the owner about the remote and the heated seat he said they where going to check it and supposely they fixed the remote, it work there in front of the car and he told me the heated seat I check it and we where not the one that messed it up and when I took the car in the heated seat was working. Then I when back home and the lcd remote it was still not working. So I would never go back to that place they are grouchy people the owner and wife and they didn't gave me what I ask for and plus the messed something on my car. I won't recommended I would prefer to pay more and have a good job done and what I requested and nothing messed up on my car than paying less and be screw up. read more
