We love Melissa! We tried her for the first time today and I'm so relieved to have found an amazing groomer for little Bowie. She was so friendly over the phone when I first reached out to set the appointment. She is busy so im so glad we were able to find a time. I was happy to learn she has had over 20 years of experience and now that Bowie got his cut, I see she is an expert in her field. She showed up early with a big smile on her face. It took just a minute for Bowie to warm up to her. When she was done with the cut, Bowie didnt want to leave her. I went to Yelp when my Vet office couldn't fit me it with a very tragic situation. We adopted a dog that has been in the shelter for over 4 months. The dog is dirty, nails so long she can barely walk, defeated and depressed a real tough situation. So I started dialing and each person couldn't get her in for over a week. I kept up the effort and Melissa and I started a text conversation where we both felt the need to help and she made time to get this poor baby done today. I know she is busy and like me the word "NO" is difficult. I would not normally ask but I couldn't see this sweet baby lasting with trying to walk or get a long in a home without some care. I love Melissa but more importantly my dog loves her. We've been clients for about two years. But now when my dog really needs to be groomed Melissa won't answer my calls or texts for the last 2 weeks. I'm very disapointed that she won't even return my calls. I've givin up on trying to book an appt. w/ her, especially cause we've been regular clients for so long and she is so great with my dog Stryker. Sorry Melissa, but you didn't respond to any calls or texts and my pup has tons of matts and she needs to be shaved. Melissa was really great. We had both our dog and our cat groomed. Our Shih tzu looked great, not a missed patch of fur to be found. His brother, a long haired old man of a cat had serious matting issues. Melissa was really patient and careful when removing his matted fur. My cat is usually a nightmare when I try to bathe her, and since she's old and has health problems, I often feel guilty about sending her to a professional groomer to be traumatized. Melissa is AMAZING! Not only does she have very reasonable grooming prices, but she's also incredibly fast! I used to use Fritzy's that charged me almost $50 more than Melissa and it always took them 2 whole hours to wash my kitty and shave her belly.
