First time I've ever needed a repair on any of my Apple products, so brought my 12PM and 11PM in for new batteries. Seems like it went off without a hitch. Except my 12PM started turning off and on, on a loop, every few minutes. 11PM was fine. But, it runs SO hot now for literally any reason; charging, chrome, depop. Went into my service provider and they were able to swap the e-sims in between the loop! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Brought the 12PM back as suggested by MK only for him to tell me it was a sensor issue he's been experiencing with 12PMs and to call Apple customer service because I'd probably have a better chance of getting ahold of them as opposed to him calling. That part felt like a bit of a cop out/hand off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Went to the Genius Bar only for them to tell me my 12PM was DOA. I don't know if it would have made a difference had I taken it to the actual Apple Store or not, but I've definitely learned my lesson. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wish MK would have mentioned it was an issue he was seeing specifically in 12PMs bc I would have just rolled with the battery having a 85% life.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was my favorite phone and friend and now it's dead. I was very pleased with the service. I have an apple I pad and did not want to deal with the Apple Store way too busy for my liking. So I was looking for a store that was able to work on apple products. Some times repair shops can be cluttered and in disrepair this was not. It was clean and well maintained. If I have a problem with my Apple gear, I like to bring it here. I live in Rancho so it's a lot closer than the Apple Store, and I flat out. *REFUSE* to go to Best Buy. Plus, these people do great work...... My iPad was running slow and hot. I had inadvertently put beta software on it, so I thought that that might be what the problem was. I called Apple, and they made me an appointment. When I came in, I dealt with Alessandro, whom I had worked with before. Very friendly, and very knowledgeable. He looked at the iPad, and advised me that the thing was *BENT!*. I had never noticed it before, but it makes sense, because I had kept it in my backpack. The leather case I had it in wasn't enough to keep this from happening. Apparently, because the iPads are larger now with aluminum frames, this is starting to happen more often. I was in luck. I had one month left on my AppleCare plus, and it covered accidental damage. I got a brand new replacement iPad for basically 50 bucks, which was the deductible. I dropped the old one off on a Wednesday morning, and because Thursday was the Fourth of July, I had the new one in my hands by noon on Friday. I bought an OtterBox case for it so this wouldn't happen again. I couldn't figure out how to put the thing on, so I asked Alessandro, and he did it for me and did not even charge me. So grateful for gentlemen who quickly replaced the battery on my iPhone. I had a business flight out in the afternoon and desperately needed my phone to be operational. I made an appointment, came in as soon as they opened, and, despite being by himself, he was about to resolved my issue and fit the iPhone in about 2 hours. He was a life saver. Found Mobile Kangaroo on Yelp and decided to give them a shot since they are close by. I arrived right when they opened and was greeted immediately. I explained that my charging port was not working and was advised of the diagnostic fee. I checked in my phone and they were able to clean the port and get it working again. I was advised the cleaning cost and extra $20 on top of the diagnostic fee which also included a scan of the phone for any other potential issues. My phone was working and I was on my way within 30 minutes. I was lucky they were not busy and able to get me in right away. I was advised you can also book appointments online and that they are an Apple Authorized repair center. read more

I didn't end up needing their service in the end due to the specific issue with my iPhone. BUT-if Christian at Mobile Kangaroo hadn't called me to see if I needed my phone immediately or could wait I would have made a trip out there unnecessarily. He called to verify my issue and inform me that they would have to send it into Apple and it would take 3-5 days before I could get it back. So he recommended I take to directly to an Apple Store to get the best and quickest repair. What GREAT service! To take the time to call and talk to me and actually provide helpful advice is priceless. So please consider them for you tech needs as they clearly care about their customers. read more

Went to this store as referred by Apple Care Plus app to this location and the gentleman charged me $20 for brushing the lint out of my iPhone port. When I stated that I had Apple Care Plus on this device that he brushed the lint from and it isn't a standard deduction for the plan, he said they still charged. I called Apple on my way home and asked them if this was standard practice and they said no, and reiterated what I stated above. The Apple Representative documented it in their systems. I'm hoping they discontinue using this vendor as they're dishonest and do not represent Apple or honor the Apple Agreements with the Apple Care Plus Plan. read more

My rear camera stopped working over the weekend for some reason, but I need to use it this upcoming weekend for a family gathering. Luckily, I found mobile kangaroo though apple's website, and they're located near me too. Check in process was fairly quick with an appointment. Dane ran some diagnostic tests for my rear camera, and he told me it should take about 2 hours. I gave him my sister's number in advance, and he ended up calling her to reach and update me about my phone. Ended up being a manufacturer problem that he really tried to help me with, but I still have to go to an actual apple store it turns out. I really appreciate Dane for assisting, reaching out, and updating me! Although I ended up leaving with my rear camera still not working, this place deserves 5 stars due to Dane's professional, friendly, and attentive service. Thank you! read more

My husband's iPhone 13 was dead this morning. Asked Apple what to do after going through the remediation steps. They told us to take it to an authorized Apple repair shop. We selected Mobile Kangaroo because it could take it this morning and it was the closest. Christian was great and got it back up in a few minutes. He explained that the iPhones were having this problem lately and showed us how to power off and on correctly especially when it's dead. Did not charge us or use our warranty service. The only downside to this company is it's very hard to find and if you use Apple Maps it takes you to the wrong place. Use Google Maps to get there. read more

I should've read the other reviews before coming in. I went online on the Apple website and made an appointment because I was having issues with my charging port not wanting to charge my phone. My iPhone is only 3 months old and I have apple care. I seen this place had a open same day time spot so I decide to get that spot. The confirmation email says, "Warranty hardware repairs (Limited Warranty or AppleCare) are free of charge if there is no physical damage! AppleCare incidental fees for physical damage is the same you would pay at Apple store. We also do not charge diagnostic fees for eligible Apple service programs". I come in and and the gentleman with really long hair says what am I here for then I told him my charging port is having issues. He said it would be $65 to diagnose it or $30 for them to clean it. Online in the email they sent it clearly says "Warranty hardware repairs (Limited Warranty or AppleCare) are free of charge if there is no physical damage!" So my phone that is only three months old, I have Apple care on and is clearly a warranty repair he wants to charge me on? This makes no sense. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Tman at the store left me on hold with the line open so I could 20 minutes of his other conversations. Upon entering the store he finished helping a customer and acknowledged me. I advised him he could hang up on me and I showed him my phone and he said "oh sorry, I. forgot". I proceeded to tell him I was there for my appointment. He looked at my watch and said "I don't know why they sent you here, we don't service watches here". I read you reply and does not In any way address the behavior of your representative at the counter. I was placed on hold with the line open so I could hear everything going on in the store. Did you miss the part where he forgot he had set the phone down and just left me hanging on the open line. His presence, response and demeanor did not indicate he was trying to help nor was he empathetic. Clearly by your response this behavior and treatment of customers is acceptable to you and I will no longer patronize or recommend your services. This is not good customer service. read more

I was not satisfied with the service I received from Mobile Kangaroo. I brought my Mac laptop in because I was having a recurring issue in which my keyboard and trackpad would intermittently not function as if they were not connected to the computer screen. They told me my computer was ready to pick up the following day. When I asked what the problem was they told me that it was merely a software issue that was resolved after a simple update. When I got home, I immediately encountered the same issue within a few hours. It's possible that the issue did not occur when staff were testing my laptop, so I don't want to assume they just ignored the issue or didn't put enough care into the testing; nevertheless, my trip to this repair store did not result in a fixed computer. While I would like to give them another chance, I've experienced better customer service and higher quality of service at Mac stores, although the lines and wait times are definitely longer. read more

If you bring it in you'll get charged a $65 diagnostic fee to tell you what you already know and give you a repair quote. Kevin was true pro, polite, responsive, quick, and answered all of my questions fully. I dropped off my phone and picked it up in a half hour. Great experience overall. So why only 3 stars? Their pricing. They charge 40% more than apple for a battery replacement. I totally get they can't compete with Apple, but they need to mark up the battery and replacement service by 40%?? If you want it done quickly, don't want to deal with Apple, and don't mind paying a premium, this is your spot. Otherwise just go directly to them. read more

They diagnosed my computer with a broken screen​ and replaced the screen with a brand new screen directly from Apple in all a week. It was a pricey part, but the repair service cost was reasonable. The repair went well. BUT.... They worked little too fast​ since they didn't place the screws in the right place on the bottom cover, so the 2 screws on the hinge received​ the longer screws, so they were slightly protruding​ upon pickup, and weren't flushed. Luckily, I already own necessary pentalobe screwdriver​ and was able to find the short screws and place them in the correct position. read more

I had made a reservation using apple since all apple stores were temporarily closed due to Covid-19. It was my first time taking my MacBook Pro to get repaired due to the display going out and because it's down the street from my work i figured i'd give this place chance. When i showed up for my scheduled time there is a sign that says masks are required and only allow one customer inside at a time to maintain social distancing which was cool. The girl in the front was very nice and had me check in using their tablet, after i entered my information they had me place my MacBook inside a box for them to grab after i left. Before i had left they had mentioned that due to shipping being delayed it may take 7-10 business days for repairs or additional parts to come in so take it into consideration if you plan on getting repairs anytime soon. Also if you're going to take an apple product don't forget to turn off the Find My settings! During the week they had contacted me on any progress they had made which was reassuring that my MacBook was able to be fixed. Once it was fixed they sent me an email for pickup and i'm pretty sure you know how the rest of this story went! Another thing you should do before getting anything repaired is to always, always, always back up your information! I use my laptop for all my photography videography projects and had to deliver a few of them during this whole nightmare and forgot to back up everything. Luckily I didn't lose any information during the repairs otherwise i'd be toast and my clients would be pissed because i'd have to extend their delivery dates!! To sum up this whole review, if you are ever in need of repairs I'd definitely recommend this place! They will take care of you from start to finish! That it should be there in a week and my cost was $100.00 so I used my ATM and waited the week and they text me and called me that it was in. I have to write a note of great thanks and appreciation to Zach Crandell for his work and Mobile Kangaroo. Zach was there for me at a time when I thought all was lost. Mobile Kangaroo (at this location) was very competent in replacing my fan and the power supply module of my Mac a couple weeks ago. I was pleased and should have written then. But after a few weeks of crazy work, I was finishing up my last assignment of the day when a walnut fell from a tree above me and made my computer go pitch black. No attempts would bring power or any signs of life to the thing. Zach kindly listened to my tale and started working on it immediately, while I went to the library to rewrite my piece. I was halfway through when he called and said he'd fixed it. He was able to pinpoint the issue with speed and clarity, cleaning a bluetooth component with alcohol that returned it to perfect working order in seconds. I can't thank him, or MK enough for the help. This thing I type on is my main source of income and I'd expected to wait another week before I could use it again (or worse, buy a logic board or new computer). Thank you Zach and MK. I recently came here about a month ago for my MacBook Air since coronavirus Apple is by appointment only and I wasn't able to get in soon so I made the drive to Sacramento the girl working there was very friendly very helpful and I was really concerned I was gonna have to get a new one by Apple warranty for some reason something was wrong with my battery I'm not sure what but I took it here and mobile kangaroo was very great about messaging me on a daily basis about the process going on what was going on explaining that they were waiting on a part for it and that is why it took a little longer with the holidays and everything I was very impressed with how much better my MacBook Air works it starts right up it's not acting up before I couldn't even get it to start without it taking a really long time it definitely works a lot better than it did before I brought it in this place is Apple certified they absolutely did an incredible job with my MacBook Air I am so happy with the services I received very clean establishment very clean atmosphere very friendly helpful staff if you find yourself in a bind with an Apple product I would highly recommend calling them to bring your product in they are very great and did incredible work with mine it works like brand new very happy with the results thank you again mobile kangaroo I appreciate everything you guys have done I will definitely be coming back here again very soon For more future visits in more great experiences to come thank you again mobile kangaroo you guys are Lifesavers :-) read more

Went in for my "free battery replacement" through Apple. They checked me in, ordered my battery, took my phone in, and told me to come back in 30-45 mins. I come back to find out they replaced my battery, but at the expense of a cracked screen!! Better yet, they are refusing to fix the screen they completely cracked. I talked to the manager, Kevin, and he tells me the best they could offer me is $10 off the normal $150 it would cost to replace my screen. They cannot even take responsibility for their own mistakes. Although this place is apple authorized, I do not recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Believe the negative reviews. I went with them because they're the closest authorized Apple repair place to me and because they could get my MacBook Pro in a whole two days before Apple at Arden. Boy, was that a mistake. They were unprofessional at every stage and the manager is disrespectful, flippant, and uninterested in customer satisfaction. And once I got my computer back, I discovered it is not reliable. I took my MacBook in on January 3 by appointment. I paid their diagnostic fee up front and was told I'd have a diagnosis and quote that day or the next day. They did not call me; I had to call them on January 5. They quoted me the cost of a new battery and solid state hard drive and I accepted after they gave me $10 off of a quote that exceeded $500. This had to be prepaid. They told me they'd call me in 4-5 days after finishing the work. Except they called me almost two weeks later. When I got there, I learned that they hadn't done any data recovery because we "declined it." Except we didn't. They never offered it. Now our data is gone and we were not offered any way to retrieve it. I spoke with a staffer who could only give me a $25 apology discount. I said this was inadequate; as a business owner myself, I would not charge anything for spending triple the contract time on a project without any discussion with the client and for failing to offer crucial services. The manager came out and not only refused to do more, but reduced it to $20. He was rude and dismissive. I told him I'd have to talk to Apple and he said, "Please do." Then I got home to find that my computer is not working well. It shut down randomly and gave me a beeping warning that suggests problems with RAM, which they didn't find if that's the issue. Then I got back on and it restarted itself within two minutes while I was in the middle of something. It appears that I paid hundreds of dollars to have a long-drawn-out non-repair and to be treated rudely. read more
