Mobile Pet Grooming was scheduled to groom my dog. I received a text stating that my Groomer will arrive anytime between 03:55 PM - 04:55 PM. My husband left work early and everything to meet them. The day of the appointment, I receive another text that stated "Hi, this is Mobile Pet Grooming and due to equipment issues this morning, Ron will be running approximately 1-1 1/2 hour behind schedule for today. He will text you when in route. Please let us know of any issues, thank you." By this time, we were already home, so of course there were no issues. That is....until the clock slowly ticked by without the groomer arriving or texting. I texted the company multiples times asking for an ETA, no response. I didn't hear back from them until the next day with a message asking "did the groomer not show up"? Clearly they were receiving my texts, just refusing to answer them. Without an apology or anything, the person responding to my day old texts offer another day the groomer was available. Ummmm, no thank you! Schedules were already changed around to accommodate the previous appointment, why would I take another, days later and in the morning! When refused the appointment, I then get a sad excuse for an apology, followed by a message stating that "Ron is bad at communicating". Well sure, go on and reschedule me for the poor communicator. Do not use this company. They refused me appointment at the scheduled time because they couldn't find parking. I spoke to the office and she admitted my zip code was a constant parking problem, but then denied it was her responsibility to contact me for other suggestions, like an afternoon appt when parking is much easier. I had never used a mobile groomer before and didn't know what to expect or what questions to ask. They also refused to refund my deposit. Just an awful way of doing business. read more

Showed up one hour late and did a terrible job grooming my two cats. The cut is uneven, they clearly didn't shampoo the cats after cutting them as they are filled with loose hair. We had to tell them to clip their nails as we noticed they weren't clipped. For the price ($90) per cat, the service was horrible. Would not recommend. I could do a better job on my own. read more

I had a good experience with this business. Called on a Friday evening around 730pm to schedule for the next day. Surprisingly, someone picked up even tho the hours on the website states they close at 7pm. I made an appointment for 5pm the next day and got a call from the groomer around 4pm which was even better. My main concern for my shorkie Biscuit was just for a wash and maybe slight trim. Biscuit took to the groomer Yolanda immediately. She was so friendly and loving with him. She was done in about 20-25 minutes. I was a little concerned at the timing but she did a great job! And biscuit didn't show any signs of being traumatized or afraid. I will contact them again for their services. read more

The first day they said the groomer had an emergency, after we reached out to them hours after our appointment time The second day they said our dog was too big to groom. Not reliable. I originally had an appointment scheduled for a Saturday afternoon. The groomer was a no show and did not call. I was told by the receptionist that her clippers had broke. I had my cat groomed here and told the groomer I just wanted a trim for my cat, she shaved him and cut his whiskers which can cause cats to become sick. I called the owner and she threatened me. The business claims that they have been in business for 12 years, however they've only been licensed with MD since 2010. You CAN NOT depend on Mobile Pet Grooming to honor a schedule. I agree with an earlier review, if I could give a zero, I would. The groomer did not make it to my house twice! I only heard from the company when I called to tell the office that the groomer had not shown up! No one would have called me otherwise. Beware!!! Bait and switch! I called and requested quote and was advised price was 70 dollars. I then inquired on the new customer discount of 10 percent that was advertised and was advised that I was eligible and that the grooming would be 63 dollars! Sounds great right! I was offered the ability to pay over the phone but due to the first time using, chose to wait for them to actually show up. Well needless to say they did arrive 1 and half hours late and we proceeded with the grooming. I didn't even complain even though my appoint was pushed from 11 am to 4 pm and then didn't get here until 5:30. Not a peep from me about that because I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. Although it did mess up a couple things but oh well on that. No complaints on actual grooming and the groomer was good. Next came the bill....70 dollars?? Groomer said to call the office and when I did... I was advised that the 70 included the discount. Weird, how can I quoted 70 and then inquire for discount and it is same price... when I advised what was I quoted and advised. The owner told me oh well the woman I spoke to was wrong! And that I must pay 70.... well I paid it and he just lost a customer over 7 dollars that was going towards the tip anyway!!! Shoddy business practice and warning to any new clients, get ur quote first, then ask for the advertised new client discount and then ask for it in writing! Amazing someone would lose business over 7 dollars that was quoted to me!!!! I don't care if she was wrong! I have never in life seen a business ran like that! Over an HOUR late with no phone call. The groomer did NOT speak good english & had ZERO personality. My clients dog is 16 and I explained to the groomer he needs to be gentle with her due to her age. He kept trying to close the door to the truck as if he didnt want us to watch what he was doing. The dog would squeal from the groomer being to rough on her & I would keep telling him to be gentle. I understand she is very matted, her own is also a senior citizen and isnt able to do the grooming for the dog herself anymore. I will NOT call them out anymore and I will NOT reccomend them to anyone. read more

Bottom Line Up Front: I would use them again because the cut was good and my dog spent ZERO time in a crate. I live in Baltimore County northwest of the beltway (that might influence which groomer I got). 1. Scheduling -- they give themselves an hour window to arrive because they are mobile. The pet owner must be there the whole time. Those are the conditions and if you don't like them, that's too bad. 2. In my case, the groomer finished another appt early and the scheduler texted to see if I could move my appt up, which I couldn't. So, I believe he squeezed another appt in and showed up at my place in the exact middle of the hour allotted for arrival. I had forgotten they had an hour to arrive so I got annoyed, but the rules are the rules. When I thought the groomer was late, I texted the scheduler and that person straightened me out with exactly the amount of attitude I gave them. As a service, maybe I could say they should've been more calm and professional than me, but, whatever. 3. The groomer was polite and straightforward. I offered use of my electricity but he preferred to use his generator. 4. He asked what kind of a cut I wanted and delivered exactly what I requested. 5. He seemed to handle my dog well and she did not exhibit any unusual stress after the experience. 6. The all-over cut on my small dog took 45 min, a little longer than he expected, but that told me he gave the job the time it required. 7.You must pay in cash. That's the rule. I had been quoted a price of $70 and that's what I paid plus a $10 tip because the cut was decent, he's a working guy, and Friday night traffic was about to interfere with his trip home. MY ADVICE: Understand the conditions - they can arrive any time during the hour and you must wait; payment must be in cash. Otherwise, I would use them again because the cut was perfectly decent and my dog spent ZERO time in a crate (as she would have at PetSmart or elsewhere). read more

They offered to add note on the file to not send the same groomer next because he was in a hurry to get home for a move. Terrible job and customer service. Unless you want your dog scalped do not use this groomer, the groomer was informed that I only wanted a 1/2 inch taken off since it is still so cold outside and now his fur is less than 1/8 of an inch short from two inches long. She did not do inside his ears, did not do his nails, and mutilated his ears which she tried to blame on him moving, which if that was the case she would not have done the damage she did do if she was only trimming them. I have a shitzu and the young man usually grooms him my dog went right to him but, this time they sent a young lady she takes him starts to cut him, then said she started to bathe him because he had fleas but only shaved one side of the dog claims that the water stopped working in the truck and the owner instructed her to bring him back to me half shaved and wet. The owner promised to make it right but as of today he has not.I have given them as referrals but as of that July 3rd 2018 I have called my friends and told them of my horrible experience, please don't utilize this business they need to close. read more

I will never use this company again, as per the owner's advice! The groomer himself was pleasant but was a few hours late. When I called the company the day of the grooming to find out what was going on, the recorded message told me to send a text. I sent two messages and called many times and no reply. At first I got the company's answering machine but then I got a Google Voice message, it was very strange. The groomer finally arrived and told me that he had no propane in his truck so he had to drive around to find some. Why did the company not provide him with what he needed for the day? The groomer told me that he did not have the clients phone numbers but he asked the company to let me know that he was running so late but I never got a call. I called the company this morning and got no explanation and no apology. I asked what they would do to make this right and make me want to use them again, the owner told me to find another groomer. I will! I would have given less stars but the groomer was nice. I've also posted this review on my local dog owners group. When I am paying for a service, I expect transparency and courtesy. The groomer hurt our dog-..We had two dogs groomed about a week and a half ago. The groomer showed up almost an hour late. This should have been our first sign to ditch this company! They groomer did a horrible job grooming both dogs. He basically just gave them each a buzz cut, not at all what we had asked for. To top it off the groomer cut one of the dogs nails too short and didn't say a word about it. The dog came back inside and was bleeding uncontrollably. Blood ended up on the carpet and furniture. We called the company and got basically nowhere. They continually told us that they hire private groomers to do the job and they couldn't help us. They told us multiple times they would have the groomer call us. We still have never heard from the groomer at this point. The company said they would send us a check to refund for the one dog. We still haven't received that either. Our dogs have been acting different since the groomings as well. I think the dogs were possibly abused during the service, but didn't witness this so I can't say for sure. This company is horrible and recommend everyone to stay away! read more

BEWARE!!!! RUDE, BAD JOB, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I don't think the groomer was licensed, SHE LET MY DOG OUT!!! Dog took off to the woods and groomer got mad at me for not telling her it would run away!!! It wasn't a good start. The truck WAS NOT CLEAN as they claim on their website, there was fur/ hair on the floor from the previous dog. I should have trusted my instincts. Shave was bad, the nails were not trimmed at all. My dog was only shaved and sprayed with some "perfume." I made the mistake of trying MOBILE PET GROOMING because my dog gets car sick, and as a very busy mom, I found the idea of in home service very convenient. Although unhappy with the dog's shave, I went to get my credit card to pay and the groomer said they only accepted checks or cash. Hence I had no cash on me,I wrote a check. Later in the evening I received a message from some "Lana " telling me that they needed my Driver's License # and DOB in order to cash the check. I called back, and this "Lana" told me that I SHOULD have know that they only accepted cash and that I should have read their Website disclaimer. I honestly answered "I'm sorry I didn't read that," she replied " How did you see the 10% off first time discount offer?" To which I answered " It is in big letters"( Anyway, that 10% wasn't honored.) I told this" Lana" that her groomer told me that I could pay by check, she defensively responded that wouldn't be true. Why would I need to lie? If her groomer would have told me "cash only" I would have asked her to follow me to an ATM. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PETS!!!. My poor dog! DO NOT USE!...Website is nicely done however don't let that fool you. They say you can watch your pet being groomed. I asked to watch and was told it was not possible. Apparently there is no "window" you can watch through. The person had my pet for like 20 minutes..However it cost me 100 dollars...to do what? Just shave and nick my pet because that is what happened. The person who arrived...no customer service skills at all. Arrived early with no phone call ahead of time. Like one hour early. There is no way to verify they do all they say they will. All I got was a shaved pet who left with a nick from the haircut. I've used this company on serval occasions however my last experience was AWFUL!! They don't send the same groomer out that was ok until this last guy came. I have a bischon mix so I expected a bishon cut as usual. Needless to say my dogs hair cut was uneven all over plus the top hair on his head was flat. I pointed it out to the groomer he stated that "when he get wet you won't be able to tell because his hair will curl" (he's a mix his hair doesn't curl its waves) I was very disappointed and called for a different technician to come to try and fix the cut as much as possible. The company wasn't willing to to send someone else without me paying for a additional cut. I took my dog to another Groomery they said his hair would have to grow back out to fix the cut. VERY DISAPPOINTED That THIS COMPANY "MOBILE PET GROOMERY" WASN'T willing to take on the responsibility of the terrible grooming, they actually still wanted me to pay for the services no matter what the cut looked like. Be careful with using the different groomers this company sends out!!! Lesson learned that NOT all the groomers they use are experienced. read more
