I was in DC helping my niece relocate and had some time one afternoon waiting for the cable guy to show up and decided to research an iPad fix-it shop as my older iPad had a broken screen after I had dropped it on our kitchen's tile floor some time ago. I had gotten tired of cutting my fingers on the broken glass screen and couldn't bring myself to spending for a new iPad. I found Mobile-2-Mobile at 1451 P Street NW which was nearby so I decided to give them a try. Am I glad I did as they clearly know what they are doing. I worked with Atif who is a true professional and an expert in what he does. He examined the iPad and noticed the damage around the metal casing and gave me an estimate of the cost which included new glass, sealant, and a bezel. He told me it would take a couple of days to fix as he needed to get a bezel to fit my older iPad. I stopped back two days later and the iPad was fixed. Atif was not working so I spoke with Ali who is equally as professional and knowledgeable. He told me they were able to bend the damaged metal casing to correctly seal the bezel and recommended a case for the iPad to help prevent damage if I dropped the iPad again. While there I also asked about Audio 3.5mm Aux Cables so I could plug my iPhone into my stereo receiver and sure enough they had one (in fact a couple of different models). I was surprised and pleased as I had been searching for them at Best Buy for over a year with no luck and most Best Buy sales staff didn't even know what I was talking about. Absolutely outrageous. Do NOT purchase prepaid SIM cards from this "retailer" - they will charge you a $30 "activation fee" and make it sound as if it is mandated by the carrier, which, of course, it is not. When confronted about this scheme, I was told that they don't do return "because it's prepaid" - bullshit, the SIM can be returned as long as it has not been activated. Never ever again. read more

Came in for some small cracks on my iPhone and they replaced it with genuine OEM parts and it was good as new! Sadly a few weeks later the phone started randomly having dead zones in random areas and I came in and they swapped the screen again with no issues. My iPhone 6 Plus was frustratingly difficult to use as a result of the Apple battery issue and software update. I was told by Apple that I would have to wait until early April for a replacement battery. I decided that it was worth the extra $50 to find someone else to replace it. Mobile2Mobile had the replacement battery in stock. When they went to replace it however they discovered that one of the screws was stripped and could not be removed without risking damage to the screen. Long story short, they were able to remove the screen without breaking it and replaced the battery. Quick, extremely pleasant, incredibly professional. I have an unlocked IPhone that I use when I travel. Since I had not used it in two years, I tried to update the operating system through ITunes. Big mistake! The updating locked the phone. Neither Apple nor ATT could fix it. So I searched on the web for a place in DC that could and found Mobile-2-Mobile on 17th Street. Within 10 seconds of explaining my problem they told me they could fix it, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. I agreed and left the phone with them overnight. They called that evening to let me know they were working on it, and that it should be done by 3 pm the next day. At 3:05 pm the next day they called and said it was ready to pick up. Dropped my IPhone in DuPont Circle and a bike ran over it, smashing the camera lens. I asked a mall kiosk if they could fix it and they said they'd replace the whole back case for like $60 no problem. I went to Ali instead and he told me that was a bad idea and would cause all kinds of issues, which I had a vague feeling was the case. The battery on my iPhone 6 was nearing the end of its life and I really didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a new phone. My iphone screen was coming off, my fully charged phone would die in a few short hours and I was contemplating just getting a new phone. I thought I'd try M2M first because of the great reviews I read about them. I'm so glad I did. Atif attended to me and explained step by step everything i needed to know in terms of what he was going to do, what scenarios he may encounter, what the fees may be, etc. before he proceeded. Turns out my battery was swollen (very swollen) which caused my screen to push up and detach from the phone. What I appreciated most was that he did not charge me unnecessary fees. He explained that since he already took my phone apart he wouldn't charge the labor part of installing a new battery, just the cost of the battery, and the new LCD screen. He tested a couple other things to see if they were functioning well, which they were, so he said they didn't need to be replaced. He said the LCD glass comes with a lifetime warranty, so if I'm ever having any issues with it (not caused by negligent damage) to bring it back and they will replace it. About two weeks later I had to take my phone back because the screen was acting up. True to his word, Atif replaced the screen with a brand new one. I asked how much I owed (just to be sure) and he said nothing. It's been two months now, and my phone is as good as new. Great customer service, honest men, and quick service. My family and I came to this store to sign up for a new phone plan. The man said I could avoid paying above the set $50/month by paying online, instead of in stores. A month later, I am charged a fee paying online. T-Mobile customer service informs me that the opposite is true: I need to pay at a store in order to avoid the fees. Whether accidentally or otherwise, Mobile2Mobile misled me into activating my phone with this T-Mobile plan. Giving the wrong information about the facts is unprofessional when they should be the experts. When I called the store they ignored my first two calls and then put me on hold for much longer than they said they would. Eventually I gave up and hung up. read more

I came to M2M because I dropped my phone. The phone was still usable and didn't have a cracked screen, but the front was bulging out and both the home button and camera were not working. I actually first went to ZAGG because they replaced my battery a few months ago, and that went fine. This time the person at ZAGG quickly opened the phone and said there was nothing he could do. I almost didn't bother checking somewhere else and was resigned to buying a new phone, but I decided to try M2M because the reviews were so good. I'm glad I did! I arrived on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment, and they were able to fix the camera and home button efficiently and for a reasonable price. In fact, they even got TouchID working again, which had stopped after Zagg replaced the battery. They couldn't quite get my screen flush again without completely replacing it because of how the top was bent, but they significantly improved it (they would have replaced it for me, but I didn't think it was necessary for the price). I appreciated that they were extremely transparent about my options and cost, and they even showed me inside the phone, so I could make the best choices for my purposes.
