Mobile2Mobile is what cell phone repair shops should all be like. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive. I had been having a problem with my Samsung Galaxy, and emailed M2M asking for help - they gave me a quick turnaround for an appointment. Ali performed a battery replacement for me last week at a very reasonable rate, which temporarily fixed the problem, but I was still having problems (I brought in my own battery from Amazon so I don't blame M2M at all for that issue) - so I emailed again just to see if he had any thoughts on what I might do - he promptly responded and told me to come in, that the problem might still be the battery and he would take another look free of charge, (and that he had the Samsung stock batteries in so we could try a good replacement). Update 4/24: Ali was right about it being the battery, and my phone is back to working order! Not only did he replace the battery (at no charge) but guaranteed me that if it did not fix the problem, he would refund me the cost of the battery itself. Before I left the store, he had me test out the phone to make sure it was working well, and asked me to follow up with an email in a few days letting him know even if the phone was working. The phone was fixed Friday, and I was planning on writing to him today (Monday). Ali actually emailed me last night to check in and see how the phone was working. It was truly refreshing to have someone show they really cared about their customers like this. TRUE customer service. I've had so many experiences with cell phone repair where customers are treated like an inconvenience to staff, and then have gotten subpar service for aftermarket parts at insane prices. I shattered my phone screen when I was in DC one weekend. The next day I looked up phone repair shops in the area and checked out Mobile2Mobile. I was able to get an appointment with only an hour's notice and was seen promptly. I was told the phone could be fixed in about 30 minutes and was quoted a very fair price for the repair. The repair took only slightly longer and my phone worked great afterwards. They also threw in a complimentary screen protector because they took a little longer than they said they would (although honestly I didn't even think the wait was unreasonable). Wow!! Fantastic service, quick, reasonably priced quality work! As in, they accept both appointments and walk-ins, the repair only took 30 minutes, they cost less than the guys down the street (more on that below), AND they have a lifetime warranty. Before I upgraded to the iPhone 7 Plus (LOVE), I smashed the screen on my 6 no fewer than 4 times. Yes, I spent more to have the damn thing repaired 3 times than to buy it. (The 4th time, I didn't even bother getting it fixed but waited 6 long, painful weeks until the 7 came out.) Anyway, M2M did Replacements 2 and 3 (the joint on 19th St. did Replacement 1; more on that later). Not only did they do a fantastic job quickly, they did it for a reasonable price and gently recommended getting a better case for the phone without doing a hard sell. Came in an hour before it closes (Sun Feb 6), going by the receipt, I believe his name was Ali (?) did a spectacular job single-handedly resolving customers problems. Ali didn't expect customers coming in one after another that last hour, and he handled everyone's issues, going left and right, with respect and explanation. There were customers who came in just plainly rude (which I won't elaborate on here) but handled it well. You could tell he had some customer retailer experience. I could sense his anxiety going up but the man got the job done-- even stayed past 30 min after closing just to handle the last customer. I actually had to make a second trip here after having my cracked iPhone screen repaired last week. Once repaired, it worked great! However, this a.m., the screen became distorted and the device was literally functioning on its own (dialing numbers, attempting to enter my passcode.) I came to Mobile2Mobile after going to two other repair shops in DC. I should have came here from the starting and saved myself some time!!! Before I stopped at the other stores, I stopped by the Apple Store to see if they could fix my iPad Mini. After waiting for 30 minutes at the Apple Store, I was told by one of the "Geniuses" that the frame on my iPad was bent and Apple couldn't do anything to fix it. They offered me an option to trade in the iPad and buy a refurbished "recertified" iPad mini for $250 AND I WOULD LOSE MY DATA. I visited two other stores who's names I will leave out of the review because I'm not looking to defame anyone...but they offered screen replacement which would take 3-5 days and would cost $179! That's almost the price of the iPad! One employee offered to buy it from me for $25 (as he could fix and resell it himself). -___- I made an appointment on Yelp with Mobile2Mobile, showed up late (I'm always late lol), and they still took care of my iPad. They gave me a 1-2 day window, but called me the next day saying it was ready! NOW THAT IS PRIORITY SERVICE!!! I spent $129 at Mobile2Mobile. They made sure that my data recovery was possible!!! I had my iPhone screen replaced there twice. First time was with the non-Apple version. It cracked the first time I dropped it. The next time I went with the Apple screen. It broke not the first time it dropped, but after just a couple. It had a very good protective case. I would strongly recommend that anyone who has a screen that needs to be replaced, not to do it unless they can get a warranty. It turns out that someone comes by and picks up all of the phones which need a screen replacement. Then later that day they drop them back off. This place gave me invaluable peace of mind after frustratingly shattering my phone. I really am not a yelp reviewer, there are a few places I've felt very drawn to write a review but this is the only place I've ever been driven to actually get around to writing one. I found this place on Yelp after I took a tumble and smashed my iPhone screen completely and was amazed by not only the phenomenal reviews but the cost. I almost couldn't believe a new screen for my iPhone 6 was $89 when I've paid apple $150 in the past and had to wait 2 hours. I walked into their store on a Saturday around 3:30pm and was greeted right away by the guy behind the front desk. I showed him my phone in which he quoted me $99 and before I could mention the $89 I saw online he continued on, saying I had probably seen the $89 online but given how smashed my screen was I was going to need a new LED. He also noticed my front camera lens which has been cracked for a long time now but had only caused an occasional lens flare and said he could also fix that too for $49 with my screen as opposed to the full $69. With his input that I'd probably have a better trade in value if I fixed it, I figured it was worth putting $50 into. I left and returned 30 minutes later to him finishing up my phone at the work station and he informed me that he had taken the initiative to fix my charging port that was on the cusps of breaking and cleaned up some unknown water damage internally. He then also took the time to test the screen with me to make sure there were no dead spots, tested all the lenses and made sure that the microphone and speakers were also working. At this point I was thoroughly impressed, only to also then not be charged for the charing port and water damage repair, AND added that he noticed my battery was a bit "lumpy" so that if I wanted to come back and replace it, he would give me what I presume to be a "bundle discount" of $49. I can't know for certain that this "bundle discount" is a thing or if I just got lucky, but the cost for the service they provide is unbeatable. His work on my phone was excellent and knowledge of all the working parts was helpful. I was super annoyed with the situation in which I smashed my phone but this experience and cost made me feel so much less frustrated and guilt free. Hopefully I won't have to get my screen replaced again (knock on wood) but I 100% would go back in a heart beat and plan to go back to address my battery soon. Thank you so much ! read more

Rule 1. Do not drop your Samsung Galaxy S8+ Rule 2. If you do, head immediately to Mobile2Mobile near 15th and P to have it repaired. Atif and Ali are outstanding at what they do and their customer service is excellent. They ordered my OEM screen and LCD on overnight service and called when it came in as promised. I took the phone in and the complex repair job was done in 90 minutes also as promised. (Watch YouTube videos about this phone to see what a repair entails.) Other vendors quoted me a similar price but required 5-10 days for the repair. The S8+ is like the Mercedes of smartphones, so expect a repair to be costly. I am responsible for 7 phones. I called ten minutes before they closed to make an appointment, thinking they'd be rushing to get me off the phone and absolutely made me feel like my call was important to them. Showed up the next day a little early for the appointment, and they saw us right away. No hard up-selling, straight to the point, but also thorough enough to do some basic diagnostic checks. TL;DR - Go here BEFORE you go to the Apple Store. This past Monday, my iPhone would not charge. I tried all the tips out there (ex. cleaning the charge port, use different cables, etc), but the screen would still not recognize any charge. I set up an appointment with the Apple Store, and believe me, it was hard to get an appointment the same day. After speaking with 3 different people there, a technician told me that "it wasn't an issue with the battery" but rather that my charging port malfunctioned. Because this allegedly was a hardware issue, the Apple Store said I had to get my phone replaced. Rather than turn over my phone, I decided to hold on to it. To hold me over before my next course of action, I activated an old burner phone I had. We're all busy professionals before I knew it, it was Friday. On Friday, I decided to check out this store. In literally 6 minutes, Ali told me it was probably a battery issue and then replaced the battery. My iPhone is working just like new and I don't have to shell out $600+ on a new phone. I'm quite pleased with my dealings with Mobile-2-Mobile. I dropped my Nexus 5 and shattered the entire screen. At first I thought I'd have to replace the phone, but looking into it I discovered this is something that can be repaired, especially since the phone itself was fully functional. What I didn't know was how expensive it was going to be, which was more than half the price of a new phone. Apparently the parts and repair are quite a bit more complicated for the Nexus phone than, say, an iPhone. So I looked around, and most places said the same thing: expensive and parts out of stock. Mobile-2-Mobile quoted me an average price and were around the corner from my work, so I took it there. The wait for service was quite long, but there was only one guy there at the time, and I was desperate. He took my phone and information and told me it would be one or two days. It took two. Fine. When I came to pick it up, the guys there were super-friendly and helpful. I was told I was quoted a lower-than-actual price (would have been an additional $40 or so), but they fulfilled the original quote.
