The issue was totally resolved; the car runs better BUT: my formerly very very stiff clutch is now smooth like butter! However, the problem arose with the shipper he subcontracted with to deliver the car. They were terrible, and caused us great stress, and eventually, he had to get involved. He admitted that the shipper was very bad at communication, but at a certain point, he himself became difficult to tolerate, cuz once he was set off, he would make it all about himself--making sure you knew what all he did in the service and how he knows what he's doing, etc etc.. So, eventually, we became skeptical that we'd ever see our car again, but finally, they came up with a plan that should not have been hard for them, but it was, and after much cost on our part, we finally got our car--in a city 4 hours away, so we had to then drive it home. sheesh!
