Mochi donuts are something I don't typically like to spurge on (since I can make something similar myself), so it's a once in a while treat for me. Mochi Dough shares the space with Bober Tea. Service was fine. You order/pay at kiosk then tell the employee what flavors you want. I got the box of 6 for $15.00. I ordered the taro, black sesame, and churro. The taro is my personal favorite flavor. I like to stick them in the microwave right before I eat them so they're soft & chewy. Not my most favorite dessert to eat, but they look pretty & do satisfy a craving for something sweet. read more

This place is extra cute. The decor is just so adorable. Many selections of mochi donuts and Boba to choose from. The staff were so kind and attentive. I would give them 5 stars, but I'm only comparing them them to Domo and Mochinut near my house. The donuts were great, but in comparison to my regular spot, there is a difference in the texture of the donut. Don't get me wrong, they are very good, but Domo in the valleys donuts are somehow lighter, airy, and chewy. But once again, mochi dough is good still. read more

Mochi Dough's appearance is incredibly Instagram-worthy, with its pink aesthetic and swings. We decided to try their donuts, and while they were decent overall, there was one particular donut that I really didn't enjoy--the pb&j donut. The grape flavor on the donut reminded me of artificial grape candies, and it wasn't a pleasant experience. The other donuts were enjoyable, although I've had better mochi donuts elsewhere. Given its proximity, I might return to Mochi Dough, but I'd prefer exploring other mochi donut options. read more

Okay, first off, I've been looking for a good Mochi doughnut shop for awhile since I moved to Sacramento from Vacaville. Leg me tell you! I found it, there are a couple other places I have to check out. I ordered online, grabbed these and left because I didn't want to wait. They aresooooo good! Chewy sweet but not too sweet. The donuts are delicious. Hands down the best in Sacramento. Pix included are from DoorDash. The service in person is terrible and none of the counter workers act like they care. We usually DoorDash boba and donuts here so decided to go in person. I assumed you could order any flavor you want when you're there in person vs via DoorDash. I was 100% wrong. I asked if I could order individual flavors and was told to order a drink. First of, the kiosk only allows you to order one single donut with the drink. If there were more options, I wouldn't know because the workers pretty much didn't answer my question and ignored me. Went to order a mixed box of donuts at the kiosk. It was sold out. There were three trays of different flavored donuts on display. It was 12:35. How were they already sold out? Just a very disappointing experience. I don't know any donut place that doesn't allow you to pick and choose the donut flavor you want in person. read more

Soooo GOOD! They are called Mochi Dough. Located in a boba cafe called "Bober Tea" on 6900 65th St, Ste 2, Sacramento, CA 95823 off of Stockton Blvd in the Little Saigon District. While you're there, order a boba drink too. Their boba drinks are Singapore styled drinks. We've tried their Signature and Chizu Strawberry Green Tea with Brown Sugar Boba. The Mochi Dough - doughnuts are authentic and in a Pon de ring style. TIP: go early when they open. I was told they run out before 11am daily. DELICIOUS mochi doughnuts and boba drinks. MOCHI DOUGHNUT FLAVORS Mango Black Sesame Original Glaze Crime Brulee Circus Animal Taro Ill probably return and do another review of their new flavors. It looks to me they change their flavors time to time. So good! Its a great treat. read more

Was the cutest place going in !!!! Felt like I was not on Stockton blvd.... Once I stepped in I felt like I was in this pretty little pink paradise it was filled with love and flowers I was in ahhhh!! The girl at the counter was so nice told us if we ordered a boba u get a Mochi donut for $1 on Tuesday ... so we took advantage of that and ended up getting more .. the drink was so good and all the donuts so amazing and beautiful I loved the swinging chairs reminded me of Mexico !!! I'm a fan of mochi donuts, so I was excited when I saw Bober Tea was expanding their business. Unfortunately, it's located within Bober Tea so it is the same slow service. The cashier was helping with online orders and boxing donuts. We stood there for a good 5 minutes ignored while she did other duties. They need to hire more front staff. Finally another employee came to help. I ordered a box of 3. Unfortunately, the creme brûlée flavor is only available if you order a box of 6. You can also only get one per box. They should have that posted on their menu so people can prepare their orders accordingly. I ended up with taro, sesame, and animal cookie. They were decently chewy. The taro and animal cookie flavors were not very pronounced, but you could definitely taste the sesame flavor. I didn't like that the donut itself was plain and the flavors only came from the frosting. I think they should add flavor to the actual donut. Overall, decent but I probably wouldn't return anytime soon just for the donuts. Note: they use the same chopstick to pick up the donuts, so there could be cross contamination if you are allergic to any of the toppings. Also, when I went Saturday the cashier was telling people that they'd get a free donut if they wrote a Yelp review. This is against Yelp's policy and also explains why there are so many reviews from this past weekend. read more

This is probably one of the first few spots in Sac to serve mochi donuts & I had to hop on it! Mochi Dough is located inside of Bober Tea. They have switch their regular donuts to mochi donuts. I bought a box of six & not going to lie.. it was expensive. The donuts weren't fresh but then again they weren't stale. It was probably made some hours or so ago before my visit. The donuts were soft & fluffy. My least favorite would have to be funnel cake because it didn't taste close to the actual thing. It was only powder on top. The taro, creme brule, & circus animal, mango we're a lot better! On the sweet side & more flavorful for all of those. read more

This is located INSIDE Bober Tea. I don't know if I'm just not a fan of mochi donuts, or if I just prefer my donuts and mochi individually, but I think they were just okay. Kind of pricey for what it is. Most of the "donuts" appear to be made from the same batter and for the different flavors they just add the toppings. PSA: you can only get one creme brulee in each order of 6, but you are not missing out on anything special. I think the better flavored ones are the mango and taro (the dough is actually flavored). I been waiting for months for this place to open up and I'm so happy I don't have to drive to downtown anymore! This place is located inside of Bobertea. They share the same location, so if you are having a hard time finding it, you are welcome. The mochi donuts were amazing, I didn't have a complaint about any of the flavors. I really loved that the mochi donuts weren't oily. I have tried some in SoCal and once it sits, the oil seeps out and it's a tad overbearing. These were perfect. I had taro, animal circus, creme brûlée, black sesame, and mango. I would totally give this place 5 stars if I didn't have issues ordering. First, I really couldn't understand the worker when ordering. At first I only wanted a box of three, but I wanted a creme brûlée donut, but she said I could only get it if I get a box of six, and I guess it is limit one because when I tried to customize the box to get two, she said no. One of each flavor. So I'm not sure if the box of six is only available for one per flavor? They ran out of the glaze, so she asked me to pick something else. I was like okay, let me get another creme brûlée, and she said no. I got an extra mango. A tad confused, but I didn't let it bother me. Perhaps the owner will rethink about the structuring of the box situation, or put little asterisks about the flavors being limited to one each. Can boxes be customizable, I'm not sure.. However, I'll be back and let you all know. read more

Mochi dough is the same as bober (same location) so the staff and everything is the same. They have a selection of donuts at the front. They're a bit smaller than the mochi donuts I'm used to (from fills, sweet dozen or mochill), but they do have a decent amount of flavors. We got a glaze and a funnel cake. I think the donut itself is actually pretty good, best I've had so far in norcal (aka better than sweet dozen/mochill), but the glaze is lacking. The glaze had a weird artificial taste (maybe some type of extract was added?), and it was too sweet. The funnel cake was just lightly dusted in powdered sugar so it wasn't sweet enough. I think their other flavors would be better so I do not recommend the 2 flavors we got lol. 4 stars because i was actually very impressed with the donut itself! Glaze can be fixed. (Also the donuts are all the same, diff flavors are due to diff glazes) read more

Super cool location. Very welcoming despite the exterior location. I thought the swing chairs were an awesome touch! It's pretty straight forward ordering. Find the kiosk to the left of the store, make your order and pay. They will then call/text you to get your order. The. You pick from what they have available that day. I had the Original Boba milk tea and it was awesome! It came out perfect. Just make sure you stir it before you drink. One of the better ones I've had. The donuts are as good as as they look. I'm happy to see something like this in the area. Their presentation is on point. The beat thing about this place is their service. The gal that helped us maintained her composure despite the "challenges" she had with some difficult customers not abiding by their mask requirements. She stayed positive and kept a smile on her face(under her mask). I will definitely be coming back. read more

Each time I have ever had their donuts was due to a boyfriend picking it up and surprising me with it. Each time the donuts were fantastic and my kids and I devoured them. The donut exterior has a light crisp and the interior is chewy perfection. Each donut flavor has its own cute unique design. Took 0.5 star off because it only allowed me to order a box of 15 mochi donuts online, but I only wanted a box of 3. So I had to wait in line at the store to order the mochi donuts even though I already ordered my drinks online. Hopefully, this can be improved so patrons can order however many mochi donuts online in the near future! Took another 0.5 star off because if you want to order the creme brûlée, you need to order a box of 6...which is a weird policy. read more

Speaking of, recently I learned that Vietnamese coffee is meant to be sipped slowly so that the cream and ice melt it down a little and the flavors marinate. Idk if that's true or not but I'm a member of the Slow Drinkers Club and, by the time I got home about an hour later, my Viet Coffee Cloud was at its best: perfectly creamy and delicious. It's now 4:30 in the afternoon and I'm going to save the rest for tomorrow which, usually, would gross me out. But CM Rachel (or is it CD now?) told me that's how it's supposed to be done!! Back to the food... I'm obsessed with the corn flakes corn dog topping: it makes the coating so crunchy and mixed with the sugary sweet... omg... 12/10. Plus, I haven't seen that topping option anywhere else! The potato topping is also great. At other places, the potato chunks are larger and can sometimes be overcooked, but here the dog was fried to perfection. In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, they had a Lucky Charms Donut and it was honestly the best flavor I've ever had. I know, I was shocked, too. The frosting had a very light berry flavor (maybe raspberry?) and the cereal on top added a nice crunch. It was gone before the corn dogs came out :D There was more seating than I recall from previous visits: a few tables and chairs inside and a few outside. There was also a selfie donut wall and a toy claw machine. Very cute! I regret not getting the Happy Meal (Drink + Donut + Corn Dog + Toy for $16) but... next time. To wrap it up, the location is great and parking is easy, so if you're with a group there are TONS of options: Chipotle, Jamba, Pieology, Greek, Crawfish, and much more!!

Stopped into Happy Mochi after being at Delta Shores for something else…read more It was my first time here and so looked over the donuts out on display and the menu, and then decided to order the following: Mochi donuts: Strawberry funnel cake Ube Churro Cookies & Cream Drink: Brown Sugar Milk Tea Boba The Strawberry Funnel Cake donut was my favorite of the 3, Cookies & Cream was ok, and the Ube Churro was I didn't try. The Brown Sugar boba drink was good as well. Overall: The Strawberry Funnel cake Donut was good, Cookies & Cream was ok. Mochi donuts are kinda expensive overall so I wouldn't get these on a regular occasion. But it was something I wanted to try.

It's Xmas eve. Heading to the grocery pick up last minute items, then remembered that a long-time…read moredonut shop that almost closed down because of owner retiring was nearby. Did I need it? Nope. But did I crave a baseball-mitt sized apple bear claw? A resounding yayssssss!! Pulled into the empty parking lot at 2:00pm, wifey and I said to each other "they probably just have donut holes left, but what the heck let's just go in". To our pleasant surprise upon opening the door, we saw our faves still available...the mitt, cinnamon roll, maple donut, chocolate custard and blueberry cake donut!!!! Don (new owner who was the baker for over 30 years) smiled and was very personable and patient when we were salivating over how many to get of each. We eventually bought a 1.5 dozen to share with our grown-up kids, but we'll probably take a bite of each Once we got into the car, we got into the box. OMG...what a pleasant drive the rest of the way. Only thing missing was a hot cup of joe. Each item we sampled (oh yes we did) was fresh, soft and not too sweet. One of the best shops in Sacramento; too bad it wasn't a little closer to where I live (20 min away). Actually, maybe it's a good thing they're not close by...my BS level would probably be over 300 and A1c over 10!! But if you're in the mood for some good ol' fashioned donuts in a modestly decorated building, Broadway Donuts is the place to go...for breakfast or a snack!! Bonus...open 7 days a week!!
