Raspberry glaze twist, maple bar, donut holes
    Karina C.

One of the best donuts in Sac! I've had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he is always so grateful when a customer stops by! My favorite are the cinnamon glaze twist and the croissant sandwich sandwiches, which both sell out fast btw! Get there early for the good stuff. Sometimes they even throw in some donut holes just because. Great family running the business, they will always have my support. I also had the pleasure of witnessing the owner give free donuts to an unhoused man. The owner saw him standing outside and took him some warm donuts and a coffee, what a great guy!

I like this box better cuz u gotta spread it open to taste that beautiful pink box

Seen this new donut shop with a Mexican name so u know i had to pull up on them. They had some different kind of donuts that u do normally see at the other donut shops out here in sac. The place was quiet because it was empty. Most donut shops are empty tho because everyone one just grabs and go. Customer service was really good. The amazing girl that helped my daughter and I was great! Super friendly and really nice. She took care of us and we really appreciated her service. The donuts were straight fuego!! I always have to get a blueberry and a apple fritter. Those are my go to donuts. They were all good and I also tried an old fashion lemon poppyseed donut. I've never eve heard of such thing. It was fire tho, they also had a chocolate cookies and cream donut filled with cookies and cream topped with an actual Oreo, hella fire. I just wish the had donut holes those are my favorite to snack on when I'm driving away. I will be back for sure and highly recommend this place.

One of the best family owned businesses. The donuts are always fresh and so delicious. The owners are kind and attentive, the type to remember your order. Maple cinnamon roll is great. Their seasonal flavors are really good too! Definitely takes pride in the product they put out. 10/10 go back weekly.

This donut shop is SO delicious! It's very lightweight, and it is not oily at all. My mom got some to-go this morning, so I didn't exactly get the full experience walking in myself. But their donuts were super flavorful, made a great small breakfast to start my day!

Yummy! Highly recommend the lemon poppyseed old fashioned donut.

Friendly little mom and pop shop. I was in and out fast. The people were super nice and the donuts fresh and good. My favorite was the lemon poppyseed old fashioned. I don't see those everywhere! A close second was their apple fritter. Happy national donut day to you.

Good donuts, really nice service! They had so many options. So lots to pick from. Looked and smelled super clean inside.

    Yummy donuts.

Love this place. Great donuts and awesome service -- not Hispanic :-) Dunno how Nina's was, but this place is a gem. I would not hesitate to come back again.

Perfect donuts! Fluffy, light and delicious. I got this box on Valentine's Day and I loved them

I just call this strawberry goodness

Great donuts and coffee, albeit a bit pricey. But it's a family business, so be sure to support them.

My eye was first drawn to the churro, I haven't been able to have one in years, I was so excited. It was everything I ever wanted in a churro. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, and coated with cinnamon sugar. I could have polished off a dozen of them! The apple fritter was also on my must try list. I grew up loving apple fritters and since having to go GF, it is my most missed donut-adjacent treat. This one was smaller than a normal one, but that was fine because I could actually enjoy it without it being too big. Perfectly fluffy with apple pieces and spiced just right, it was delicious. The cruellers were nice and crispy on the outside and just sweet enough. Glazed with chocolate or regular icing, they are a perfect donut. I have recommended this spot to others that are GF, they need to experience the joy of a prefect GF donut!

Both tasted very good but slightly different without dairy. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the flavor and textures. My friend ended up with the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie which was also great. I love a crunch or different texture mixed in. She did mention that the Rocky Road tasted a bit off because of the lack of dairy and the texture was a bit unusual. The staff were polite and patient and the place didn't seem that crowded for a Thursday around dinner time. I suppose with Ginger Elizabeth's and Rick's Dessert Diner all on the same strip, there is a lot of competition for dessert places here. We were happy to try something new. Everything was fairly clean and there was plenty of bar seating as well as a few tables. I believe there were also tables outside.

I ordered the taro latte with pudding, mango coconut pudding, spicy crab, and tator tots. Taro latte was 70% sweetness and was still kinda sweet. That was on me though. I typically order 50% sweet but this was my first time here so I only went slightly less sweet than the base. The mango coconut pudding was really good but also slightly sweet for me. The spicy crab rice ball was delicious. It was hot when it came out and didn't have too much mayo. The tater tots were super hot and crunchy. Not too salty either. Definitely coming back to this location!

We especially excited to try the instant ramen maker. We walked in and ordered in the kiosk. The menu had different teas, mochi donuts, dumplings, corndogs, and other snacks. However, after ordering we noticed the ramen wasn't on there. We asked the staff and they said the ramen maker wasn't working so that was disappointing. They were also out of something I ordered and they were able to refund me. The drinks and food took a bit to come out. The wonton and dumplings were ok, but the soup it came in was pretty good. The taro drink and mochi dog we got were good. Inside was very picturesque with a good amount of seating. The ramen wall was impressive and had a good selection. It served more for a decoration that day than for eating. But we loved the cute tree and floral wall. They also had some games for you to play with while waiting. Overall everything was ok but maybe we'll be back to give it another try.

The donuts were fried and tasted delicious, especially with the added chocolate drizzle. For the 50-50 freeze with ice cream, we chose guava freeze, chocolate ice cream, and strawberry freeze. All of the flavors were so delicious! Perfect for a nice warm afternoon. The female worker that took our order was very friendly and gave good recommendations. The donuts came out extremely fast! I hadn't even finished ordering the ice cream and the donuts were already on the counter ready for me. The workers were also trying to catch a flying bee, and they ended up catching it. The 6 donuts were $5 and the large 50/50 freeze with ice cream was $8. They do charge a 3% fee if you use your credit card. Overall, great first experience at Mad Hatter Doughnuts.
