May 8, 2026 Friday 7am Been driving by this place all the time. Finally decided to stop in. Best idea we've had all week. Clean and well set up shop. My gal and I got a couple dozen donuts and donut holes. Soft, fresh and tasty. Also got a couple Peets coffee. The young lady who helped us said she's only been working there a couple of days, but her patience and customer service were outstanding. We will be back. They earned and deserve this 5 star rating, plus we're gonna tell everyone we know about this place. One of the best donuts in Sac! I've had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he is always so grateful when a customer stops by! My favorite are the cinnamon glaze twist and the croissant sandwich sandwiches, which both sell out fast btw! Get there early for the good stuff. Sometimes they even throw in some donut holes just because. Great family running the business, they will always have my support. I also had the pleasure of witnessing the owner give free donuts to an unhoused man. The owner saw him standing outside and took him some warm donuts and a coffee, what a great guy! read more

Seen this new donut shop with a Mexican name so u know i had to pull up on them. They had some different kind of donuts that u do normally see at the other donut shops out here in sac. The place was quiet because it was empty. Most donut shops are empty tho because everyone one just grabs and go. Customer service was really good. The amazing girl that helped my daughter and I was great! Super friendly and really nice. She took care of us and we really appreciated her service. The donuts were straight fuego!! I always have to get a blueberry and a apple fritter. Those are my go to donuts. They were all good and I also tried an old fashion lemon poppyseed donut. I've never eve heard of such thing. It was fire tho, they also had a chocolate cookies and cream donut filled with cookies and cream topped with an actual Oreo, hella fire. I just wish the had donut holes those are my favorite to snack on when I'm driving away. I will be back for sure and highly recommend this place. read more

Owned and operated by a father/daughter duo who were both welcoming and friendly. A dozen donuts are $18 and $1 extra for the apple fritters and others on the top shelf. Donuts are light, fluffy, and most importantly, not sickly sweet or oily. They also serve fresh brewed Peet's Coffee, which happens to be my favorite. Open everyday. Absolutely the best donuts in town, and I've tried them all. Most donuts taste a little chemically to me, but Don Jose's taste completely natural. They're crispy, fluffy, and not overly oily. They have cool flavors like lemon poppyseed old fashioned. The staff is always kind and friendly, and they often pop in an extra donut or some donut holes. Ambiance is classic donut shop. Everything you'd want in a donut shop. The shop has been restyled with a bit of flair in the decor. This doesn't affect the taste of the donuts, but helps when you walk in. Friendly staff I over heard saying they were the kids of the owner. Donuts tasted great, huge win was the variety in blueberry and old fashioned styles. Came in one morning on my way out of the area, only got 2 donuts but they gave me a smaller donut for free. I had peanut butter cream stuffed donut, it was really good. Also had a raspberry filled which surprisingly has more raspberry filling than other donut shops which was really good. Definitely going to visit this place again soon. Poor customer service. I went there yesterday, and opened the door for Hispanic man to come in behind me. I waited in the line, and the female cashier didn't greet me, but she greeted him, spoke to him, took his order. Then a male worker came out, took my order and put my food on the counter and the female customer rang up the Hispanic man first. All I could do is just laugh at the situation. The other non-Hispanic customers in the lobby we all just looked at each other and laugh, because it was clear what was going on. I miss when this place use to be Nina's Doughnuts read more
