This salon is great. From my experience, they run it very professionally and efficiently. I made my reservation through Yelp and had to wait around 15 minutes once I arrived, but I chalk that up to the holiday weekend. This place is popular for a reason! It was no big deal because they had people doing my manicure and pedicure at the same time so they made up some time. Ben did my manicure and Danny did my pedicure. Both guys were very nice and did a fantastic job. Ben gave me a full set and really pretty nails. The salon is very clean and has a huge selection of polish. I love Mod Nails! I got my nails done for my wedding and was extremely happy with them! Absolutely gorgeous and just like the picture I showed from Pinterest. My bridal party came with me and we also got specialty pedis. We couldn't all sit together because the salon was so busy but we were able to sit in pairs! seriously so freaking pissed so me and my daughter decided to try a new nail place and went to MOD NAILS not only did they charge me $55 for some short ass nails my daughter's were more but whatever they were long so they were worth it (hers were $65) but they over charged my card $30. I swear you gotta watch out for people you have to give your card to and they input it in their phones! went back and he denied it but I have the proof on my bank statements so now I have to dispute with my bank! never ever going back here! i hate people that try to scam you thinking you won't notice makes me wonder how often they do it! read more

This nail salon came to my rescue 9 months ago, and I've never looked back since! I used to go to a Nail Garden location for years. However, 9 months ago, was when they lost me, permanently, as a customer. Unlike Nail Garden, MOD was so professional, studious, detailed and super talented!!!! I finally found a place that knows what they're doing! They're also up to date with all nail trends, and are so detailed with the quality of service! Steve is such an amazing detailed ARTIST! Seriously, every single time he's done my nails, I get so many compliments! He also is probably the first and only nail artist that's symmetrical with nail shaping! (Hey, that's important to me! My nails always look so good after I walk out of there, and even last and look great till I return! Sometimes after 4 weeks!!!! Betty is so great with pedicures!!! She's also great with symmetry! I splurged on the heat stone massage and cucumber scrub, which unfortunately they didn't have cucumber so I opted for Lemon scrub, very nice. My claws are so fresh and sooo clean! Mod met all of my expectations - cute set up, clean, nice staff, and great nail services. Big ups to Harris and Tiffany who worked on my mani/pedi duo. Both were sweet and diligent with their work. But I have to give it to my buddy Harris! My nails have never had a better mani, fill, and gel service. I kid you not. His attention to detail and precision is like no other. My nails are perfectly shaped with no odd, crooked messes. He took the time to clean up every spec of excess cuticle I had. I made a quick phone call to schedule an appointment and let me tell you... from the friendly voice on the phone to the moment I walked in and throughout the entire appointment I felt comfortable and it was such a friendly environment. I've been to a couple other salons where even the receptionist was rude while I was trying to make an appointment at their salon but not here. And I absolutely love the way my nails turned out. This review is long overdue. I've been a customer of Hannah's since before she and Steve opened Mod Nails. I am inspired every time I see her of her work ethic, dedication and passion towards her craft and business. She is truly talented at what she does. Hannah and Steve had a vision of Mod Nails way before it opened and I truly believe they are carrying it out magnificently. I have been lucky enough to receive acrylic from Steve as well, and his attention to detail is spot on! I have only had positive results with both Steve and Hannah. They are funny, sweet and again so talented. I am so happy for them and to see them doing well. Over the year, as Hannah and Steve have become harder to book to due increased popularity, I have also enjoyed receiving acrylic and fills from Lynn. She is my go-to girl now. She has a contagious laugh, is super personable and loves to talk, and beyond that her work is meticulous. She knows I am super picky and she never seems annoyed by me. She might make fun of me for a moment but it's all in good fun. The pedicures here are also a must. The stations are very clean and my pedicures last for weeks -- so I always feel like I am truly getting my money's worth. Coming here feels like catching up with friends and relaxing from life for a couple hours. I am grateful for this place! Oh, and Carla is a gem! Tried this place out because of great reviews. The place is very clean, relaxing, they offer water and have many colors available. However, regular spa pedicure only is 25 dollars and I felt the job was rushed and it hurt! I got the 10 dollars organic scrub for free upon yelp check and it's literally some scrub that was rubbed for 1-2 minutes and washed off. The lady was indifferent , tried to pick on my nails , rushed on the filing and shaping and cuticle cleaning. The girl next to me was finished around the same as me and I sat way after her. For 25 dollars a pedicure, I would expect much more attention to detail . I have gotten better pedicures from places where I paid 25 for mani and pedi. In addition, the front desk girl was very airhead like and not professional. Will not recommend this place. read more

I drove from Beverly Hills to the valley for this salon given the great reviews but I was very disappointed! The place is really dirty with nail clippings from previous clients but I decided to stay because I'm going out of town and need my nails done. I got a full set and still had to file my own nails when I got home. My pedicure specialist forgot to put top coat on my nails which makes them look dull and old. On top of it I paid $115 for this mess. I will never go back to this filthy place. Complete disappointment! read more

Tried this place out with a friend one week ago. Appt was at 6 was seen at 645. Didn't mind the wait since I was really excited since the reviews were so good. Got into my chair and waited another 20min. I ordered the deluxe manicure, barely had my feet scrubbed and never got a hot towel. They were totally rushing us at the end which is why I think some of my gels have fallen off. I have had gels that have lasted more than 1 week. Especially since I paid 66 dollars for gel and chrome. This was my first time at Mod Nails. I had a broken toe nail and was in a bind to get it fixed ASAP. I called and made an appointment for that day. When I arrived and opened the door that "nail salon smell" hit me hard! I felt that I held my breath for the entire hour+ I was there. Karla the receptionist was lovely!! She offered us tea and made us so comfortable. My niece was thrilled with the choices of gel nail colors, she thought better than most nail salons. I'm so sad to be the bummer on all these amazing reviews but I have not had very good experiences with this salon. The first time I came in was on a Saturday. I had made an appointment. It was the busiest I have every seen a nail salon in my life! I waited for an hour but I had another appointment so I had to leave. I wrote a note to the front desk girl and apologized-- she was running around like crazy! I got a call from the salon while I was in my car and spoke with Carla. She was so sweet on the phone and offered me a discount on my next service with them and apologized about not being able to see me for my appointment that day. Now comes today. I made an appointment and spoke with the manager Steve about what had happened before and he said that they would make sure to apply the discount to my service. I got a gel manicure with chrome. The first time I came in I was told that chrome was $15 extra. I was told today it would be $30 extra. I go to pay for my manicure and I'm charged $66.... their gel manicure is $36 + $30 for chrome= $66- so no discount. I brought this to the front desk girl's attention and Steve said the discount was already applied... so the first time I was not seen. The second time I pay $15 EXTRA instead of getting the discount I was promised...? I had an appointment to rush off to so I didn't have time to argue the charge so I ended up leaving and paid without the discount. Disappointed. read more
