Always glad to see these old institutions holding up! Woodstocks is a classic! On another note - they were doing live music and letting local bands play on one side of the restaurant - and drew a crowd on the street and across the street! Those are so over powering to the other flavors of artichoke hearts and mushrooms. The balance of ingredients was just off for how much money they now charge. (prices have recently increased and dishes are mostly in the $28+ unless your getting the basics ie spaghetti) Don't plan to return for anything but the Caesar salad dressing!

We started with bread, which was excellent. We moved on to the grilled artichokes, which were also pretty special. The jalapeno aioli added to the smokiness of the grilled artichokes. We loved them. The bib salad was also a treat - nice chop, and the lardons were perfectly cooked little flavor bombs that stood up nicely to the blue cheese. We had the lobseter ravioli, and the single-layer crispy lasagne for our meals. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and the freshly made sundried tomatoes added a little extra structure to balance the plate. The single layer lasagne was really interesting. Wasn't sure what to expect, and the server said it was a little controversial, so I tried it. It came out as a large sheet - fresh spinach pasta sheets, layered with a delicious bolognese sauce, and topped with pesto and bechamel. Unconventional? Yes. Delicious? YES! I'm so glad I was feeling experimental - it was an innovative dish. Overall, we loved it. Service was very solid - attentive, without being intrusive. Perfect evening! Previous review: Dropped in here just to check it out. We came early on Thursday, and it was jumping! Got a seat at the Kitchen bar to have a few apps, and a cocktail, and had a fantastic snack and talked with some great folks in the kitchen. In the past, we used to come much more often for Happy Hour as their appetizers, pizza's, and small plates are delicious. Yesterday, we decided Crush was the place to be for our 14-year anniversary, and it exceeded expectations. The food was delicious as always (I had the Allen Prime Rib and my wife had the Short Rib Stroganoff). But what took it over the top was our server - Ethan. He was awesome. He was friendly, warm, personable, attentive, and on top of everything. Being at a great restaurant with great food is still only a GOOD experience if your server is disengaged. However, when your server is awesome, it elevates everything. My wife and I ended the evening highly satisfied and grateful. Thank you Crush (and Ethan) for such a great anniversary night.

By far one of the best pizza places in the city of Chico. I have been to other mods around California and this definitely my favorite one I've been to. The food is of the highest quality and as fast as any Burger King or McDonald's you'll go to. The team greets you right when you walk in and you can really feel the positive environment in the building. The team is very interactive with the customers and all really seem to be enjoying what they are doing. Overall great establishment, and even better food! read more

The pizza is great, most of the time, but the staff is trash. Everyone, any time I have ever been in there, is always talking and more concerned about their 'trips' and weekend plans than giving customers a slice of their time. No one has any enthusiasm. The entire staff and the inept child like managers just shrug their shoulders, no one cares in there. I get it food is a shit job and not always fun, but no job is, how hard is it to fake it til you make it - to the end of your shift anyways. read more

My wife and I went to MOD last Friday and had a great experience. Pizza was really good, fresh ingredients and you can put whatever you want on your pizza for the same price. Beers are on tap, you can even get a beer while you wait in line! The owner was extremely friendly and the rest of the staff was pleasant as well. Last night a kid named Jaken(spelling?) helped me and he was so fun and customer service oriented he completely upped my already high opinion of this place. Ok, the only reason I'm giving these guys a 4 star rating is because there is no 4.75 star rating and I don't quite want to give them a 5. I go here all the time. There pizza's are not heavy like most you get. I get the Dillon James all the time with roasted peppers - YUM!!! read more
