I tip almost everywhere I go but today was one of the first days I didn't. The young woman who made our pizzas, who had a bun and gold necklace, was not friendly whatsoever, acted as if I was asking for too much when I was choosing my toppings for my pizza, and then proceeded to make side comments under her breath about her coworkers/management and was clearly upset to the point where she knocked my pizza against the rack and when I kindly asked her if I could check on the pizza since I clearly saw it got messed up, she huffed and puffed. Mod Pizza was a standout when it first opened several years ago, but it has quickly declined! We hadn't been there in quite awhile and I was craving their Caesar salad so we went for dinner last night. The first thing I noticed is that the entire restaurant is filthy! Dirty dishes overflowing near the soda machine, sticky floors and tables that had not been wiped. Our Caesar salad was barely edible; same for the pizza. This Mod Pizza is amazing. It's Subway only pizza or salads. You get to pick a variety of toppings for your pizza. Load it up as you like. Some of the employees do a better job than others adding the ingredients which makes the tipping option worthwhile to me. I'm more generous of course w the friendly, conscientious staff. I don't know why eating at MOD Pizza is a concession to a place to eat rather than an actual destination...it's good, it's quality, and it's inexpensive. I just feel like I always come here after a long debate when no one can make a determination as to where we should go. It should be a destination spot, and not an afterthought. They have good pizza, they have good food across the board, and they have really decent service. They do serve Revolution IPA, and that's a really nice offering to go with their pizza. Being a creature of habit, I tend to stick with the Lucy Sunshine, but my husband has tried many of their other pizza creations, along with creating his own, and has liked basically all of them. MOD Pizza is a family friendly spot, which is useful at this stage of my life. My toddler had a meltdown the last time we were there, and no one batted an eye...thankfully. I really enjoyed our time here the staff was really friendly and explainedhow everything works because it was our first time. my favorite thing is the price- you pay a flat price regardless of how many toppings you get on your pizza and I love lots and lots of toppings! The pizza bakes really really fast in the fire oven thing so you don't have to wait forever. The lemonade is also really good here. First time at MOD while traveling, and I definitely wish we had one at home! I tried a different MYO pizza concept in the past, and was underwhelmed. MOD, however, was impressive considering 1) You pay one price for unlimited toppings of your choice and 2) There is a great variety of fresh toppings that go beyond basics. So you can make a pretty swanky pizza. I did red sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, asiago, broccoli, artichoke hearts, red peppers, basil, oregano, chicken, and a few splashes of pesto on top when it came out of the oven. Because I could. They featured a caramelized pear iced tea and blackberry lemonade the day I was in, which tempted me from my standard water. Yum! I was too stuffed to eat my No-Name cake while I was there, but I'm glad I decided to give it a try. (it's like a DingDong, but made exclusively for them and so much better!) Lastly, I appreciated the clean, well stocked self-serve station with seasonings, take out boxes, etc and that staff were friendly and engaging. I noticed the "Issac" everywhere, and encourage you to look it up as I did. I thought that particular page on the site was really well done, and I admit the video made me a little teary. You pick a crust, then your sauce, toppings (all the toppings) and then you are good. Mini 6 inch is $4.87, 11 inch is $7.87 and there's something called a mega (bottom layer sauce and cheese, top layer sauce, cheese and ingredients) and that is $10.87. As many toppings as you want... tired of ordering a medium pizza and paying $1.50 for each additional topping? I put mushrooms, onions, green pepper, bacon, sausage and a mixture of asiago, mozzarella and Parmesan and only paid the $10.87 price for the mega. (Actually half off today) They just opened so of course the place is clean. For an opening so far they are able to handle the crowd. They have knowledgeable staff helping the newbies. Horrible. We are frequent patrons of this locations and have interacted favorably to all the staff except for Jessica and Jessica. My wife, 2 year old son and mom came into the store to order pizzas and salad. I asked the person making our order,"how she was doing?" Her response was that she was "too poor". I responded to tell her that there were plenty of people in this world that was much "poorer" than her and that she should feel blessed. She proceeded to make a comment about my T-shirt, bcuz it said "Don't judge me" She said she was going to judge me and that the only person that could tell her what to do was her mom. I took it as lighthearted, so I responded.."lol, that's fine". As she started making my pizza, she literally was barely putting any toppings on the pizza. When I asked for more cheese, bcuz you could literally see majority of the dough and the sauce, she would put a pinch more on there. I had to ask her 3-4 more times for more cheese. It got so bad that my wife and mother had to ask for the same thing when it came to the meat. She initially put 6-8 pieces of chucks on the pizza. We asked for more and she put exactly 2 more pieces on the pizza. This continued with the rest of my order and she made the comment that "too many toppings would make pizza too heavy." Mind you my family and I come 1-2 a week and never have this issue and our pizzas have been made with much more than what was on the pizza. This proceeded to happen with my son's, wife's and mom's order. When she was making my wife's order, she told her, "She was asking for too much lettuce and that there wasn't going to be no room for the toppings." My wife had the same issues as myself, but at the end of her making the order, she had no problem closing the top and it was not even touching the top. My wife then told her that she should not keep telling the customers no and that we come all the time. My mom said that the worker went to the back cursing under her breathe. When I was at the register to pay and scan my phone to get & redeem rewards points, another person (Jessica) came out with an attitude, and said to me, "What did y'all order?" in an aggressive manner. I asked her, "What is up with the attitude?" She then proceeded to tell us that she was trying to rush us out the store bcuz her worker went to the back crying. Without even asking what happened or being neutral, she poorly assuming it was solely our issue. Then she said that her worker was fine until we came in. We responded saying, she was not fine bcuz if she was, she wouldn't have told us as her first words that she was too poor. She went back and forth with us basically accusing us and my wife responded that if we were a different color, she would not have acted towards us like she was. This ended with us walking out and not even getting our order. It's just unfortunate that this poor service is going to stop our multiple stops here for pizza that our son loves. I doubt management will even address this, but Jessica and Jessica need to be reprimanded for their poor service. read more

There was a long line that did not move quickly, it seemed like they were having a hard time keeping up with the needed dough. We visited this location for the first time last Tuesday and had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. It's like the Chipotle of pizza- literally anything your heart desires, all on one pizza. A lovely lady by the name of Cassandra helped us out and explained to us how everything worked. She assured us that it would be a set price for the MOD size pizza, $8.27, which is a steal!
