This place is great! The pizza is delicious and the people are always in a good mood, even when they are packed! Which is always. Honestly, I think they need to expand. MOD is a popular family place to go because of their smaller pizzas. There is a large variety of toppings you can add. Meats, veggies, cheeses, sauces and they even serve alcohol. You can get a beer off the tap or garb a bottle of wine at the cashiers spot after your done with your pizza. They have regular drinks too. The cost is spot on and there is a nice outdoor area where you can eat and enjoy the nice sunny day, (which is rare in Washington). read more

The last few times we've been ordering ahead for pickup or delivery and it's taken SO LONG. This is probably the worst customer service experience I've had at a restaurant. My husband and I walked in around 730pm on a Tuesday when we were greeted by a young lady that looked like she would rather be anywhere else (I don't know her name since no one had a name tag) who's first question was "have you been here before or what?". After we tell her it's been a while since we've been to a mod she proceeds to ask if we need her to "walk us through it". While assembling our pizzas there seems to be little to no red sauce left in the container so instead of excusing herself to get more she chose to put half a tiny ladle of sauce on each pizza. First of all, I usually love the pizza they make, but this location in Lacey has to be the worst one that I've ever been to. They are slow, unfriendly, did not have my order ready when I arrived (had not even started making it), and when they did make it, made it wrong. Message to MOD Pizza: You may have a good product, but if your not teaching your employees customer service skills, another entity will take business from you in this competitive market. Note that a lot of people you hire probably did not learn basic manners at home (most milineals are lacking in this), so you as an employer has to step up, be the surrogate parent, and teach these folks some basic life skills like: Smile when a customer comes in and greet them, keep attention on the customer's needs and not your co-workers, have someone walking around the restaurant and checking in on how people's experience is, thank people for visiting your restaurant, fix errors quickly, and terminate employees who do not add value to your organization. read more

Great pizza and good value. However, they are always late. I order online and they give you a pick up time. The last three times I've been there they have been 25-35.minutes over projected time. Injust want to know exact time within maybe 5 minutes as I am a busy person. My time is valuable. I don't thing they value this. I love MOD pizza but this place has messed up my order so many times. The first time they forgot tomatoes, the second time They forgot the balsamic glaze. Today I ordered just as I got off from work (6pm) and got there at 620.I didn't get my pizza till almost 7 at first it was no biggie, dinner rush and what not. But I was starting to get frustrated when people that were there ordering when I arrived were getting their pizza before me. I asked what was going on and all I got was an "I don't know " I was driving to chehalis and stopped to add gas. I checked the pizzas (I know I should of checked before I left) and noticed they messed up again. I called and wanted to speak to the manager, since this was getting frustrated. Wait times are horrible! Even if you order ahead or do curbside you're going to wait. Being busy is one thing, but they still can't get their act together. The worst part is you'll see people who came in well after you get their food first. The last several times we have ordered, we have received pizza which is basically a crust with sauce and a couple small pieces of meat and a pinch of cheese. That is not pizza. It's alright. Really it's just alright. I mean there pizza is great. But the atmosphere, the limited seating, the set up.. it's all just okay. Nothing about this location really stood out to me. My entire family enjoyed all of their pizza, but we struggled to find a table on a busy Friday evening in a smaller establishment. Everyone at MOD pizza are always super friendly and not rushing you through your order! Management definitely has everything in order which results in one awesome experience! My kiddos love going there to make their own pizzas and get a delicious lemonade. I love MOD pizza. Every time I come it's pleasant, at any location as well. They have their signature pizzas that you can still customize to your liking. Also, the lemonade they have is really good. My favorite thing about MOD in particular though is the fact they have the balsamic glaze. Not all create your own pizza places have it and I really will come here bc I crave the balsamic on pizza. This hurt to have to give this review because the food is great.... but they overcharged my bank card. My receipt rang up at $12.13 but my bank card was charged $14.56 That is an overcharge of $2.43, and if they are doing this to me how many other people are they overcharging? My guess is this is one way to up their tips because really how many of us check our bank statements that closely for the small discrepancy? To be blunt, screw MOD. I've been going there a few times to order, but I've always had a problem with each order. First problem. I tried a mini mad dog with deluxe salad. Salad was ok, but pizza was burnt with little toppings. Second time was the same order and pizza was "edible" but the salad was already drenched in dressing so I had to toss it. I stopped eating at MOD for a while because I was just extremely dissatisfied with their food. But I tried it again recently in hopes they would improve, but was wrong once again. I ordered online for one garlic strips and 2 red sauce(I bought pizza from somewhere else because the MOD pizza just sucked)and a deluxe salad. Once I arrived, they gave me 2 garlic strips and 2 sauces. I explained to them that I only ordered one, but he said the order was for 2. I looked at the receipt and only showed I ordered 2 sauces and no strips. So I basically said whatever and left. Once I came home, I got pissed. I opened up the boxes and tried the strips, and they were stiff and crunchy which scraped my throat. I also noticed multiple strands of hair in the strips. I always had a problem with them not having hairnets, but now that there's hair in my food, I had to toss it. The deluxe salad was still good, but they didn't offer salad dressing. Luckily I have some in my fridge. Overall, it's just not worth going back to MOD. I've always had a problem when I order. I'll stick with Farrelli's because the food there is BOMB. read more

Yesterday, I ordered my mini pizza with a Light Bake, and when it came back it didn't look like a light bake, and I mentioned it in passing -picking it up and took it to a table. But the crust was not burnt-as I thought at first - and the whole thing was perfect and delicious. I was just about to put the last bite in my mouth when Adam came up to me and gave me a coupon for a free pizza because of the "misunderstanding." I ordered a pizza salad online yesterday. The order confirmation said it would be ready at 6:31 pm. I was late picking up as I stopped to do an errand on the way which took longer than expected. I arrived and Mod was crowded. They let me know they were running behind and it would take an extra 20 minutes. It took an extra 40 minutes. This whole situation could have been avoided if the website were truthful about how long it would take. I could have decided to not order and go somewhere else or at least I could have done something better than standing around in a covid infested restaurant for 35 minutes waiting for my never coming order. They had all the online, doordash, ubereats, etc. orders posted on the glass outside the area where they serve all the pizzas. Orders that were behind mine got fulfilled first and I was left begging for my pizza crust despite my salad sitting unrefrigerated out in the open for who knows how long. A little honesty goes a long way. If it's going to be an hour when you order, say it's going to be an hour. By the way, I wasn't the only pissed off person that evening.
