I am writing because I have reached the point where I feel compelled to escalate my concerns regarding Popeyes Store #11363 in Lacey, Washington, which is operated by Ambrosia QSR. This is not about one missing packet of cocktail sauce. It is about a repeated pattern of inaccurate orders from this location. Time after time, items, sauces, or other parts of my order are missing. As a paying customer, I should not have to inspect every bag before leaving or repeatedly contact support over mistakes that should have been caught before my order was handed to me. After this latest experience, I reviewed public customer feedback for this location and found that I am far from the only person experiencing these issues. Numerous reviews mention missing items, incorrect orders, and incomplete meals. While every customer's experience is unique, the volume of similar complaints suggests this is not simply an occasional oversight but an ongoing operational problem that deserves attention. Tonight's order is just the latest example. My order confirmation clearly lists Cocktail Sauce with my 8-piece Lemon Pepper Butterfly Shrimp, yet it was not included in my bag. When I attempted to report the issue through the Popeyes support system, I discovered that Cocktail Sauce was not even available as a selectable missing item, despite being listed on my order confirmation. I have attached screenshots showing both my order confirmation and the support page. To make matters even more frustrating, I contacted Guest Care by email only to receive an automated response directing me back to the same support page that had already failed to address my concern. Rather than resolving my issue, I was simply sent in circles. I am not writing to complain about one missing packet of sauce. I am writing because this location has repeatedly failed to provide complete and accurate orders, and the current support process makes it unnecessarily difficult for customers to report legitimate issues. As a customer, I expect that the food I purchase will be prepared accurately and completely. I also expect that when mistakes occur, there is a functional process for reporting them and receiving assistance. Unfortunately, neither expectation has been met. I respectfully request that: This complaint be reviewed by Ambrosia QSR leadership rather than simply forwarded back to the local restaurant. The recurring order accuracy issues at Popeyes Store #11363 be investigated. The issue with the Popeyes support system preventing customers from reporting missing items listed on their receipts be corrected. Appropriate coaching, accountability, or operational improvements be implemented to improve order accuracy at this location. I receive a response outlining what actions Ambrosia QSR and Popeyes will take to address these concerns. I enjoy Popeyes and would like to continue being a customer. However, the repeated mistakes at this restaurant have reached the point where I no longer have confidence that I will receive the complete order I paid for. When I got home the sandwich they gave me was the worst sandwich I have ever eaten from Popeyes!! (I tell people that they have the best sandwich!) I was curious what the hype was with Popeyes, but now I know... I'm sticking to Chick-Fil-A. This is my first AND LAST visit to a Popeyes, ever, due to poor customer service and order inaccuracies. I placed a digital pick-up order today around 3:50 p.m. (PST) through their website and arrived at this Popeyes location around 4:13 p.m. to grab my food at the drive-thru. The order was still not ready, so they asked me to pull to the side at the drive-thru (literally blocking everyone at the exit so they had to drive around me), where I waited until about 4:27 p.m when 4+ cars' already received their order. Usually, I check my takeout orders before I leave, but I was assuming that if it took at least 30 mins to make it, the order would be checked for accuracy before handing it over to the customer??? Almost half of my order was missing! I don't care how busy it gets, I have never had this type of service or this low level of order accuracy at any other Wings restaurant (Chick-Fil-A, Wingstop, Fire Wings, etc. -- you name it). I did not check my order after pickup until I brought it home. That's what I realized I was missing: my Cajun fries, my fried pickles, my condiments of ranch and tarter sauce (which apparently they no longer have, but did not communicate that). I requested sauce on the side (for the condiments), but this was my first time ordering and did not think that meant for the [boneless] wings, so only the honey BBQ & signature hot sauces were given. Obviously, I had to inconveniently drive back to the store (luckily, I live a 10 min drive away).. When I returned to the store and walked inside, I was not greeted, and it took a few minutes for anyone to appear at the register. No surprise that there was a lack of service since the inside was empty of customers (besides one person sitting at a table with their bagged takeout order). Gawd, the vibe was like walking inside a wasteland with deadpan expressions and minimal or a lack of communication amongst all the working employees. I really should have pulled a Karen and asked to speak to a manager, but I managed to remain level-headed to tell them that several items were missing from my order. They said sorry and just gave me the excuse that it was busy. I straight up told them, I get that it's busy, but if it takes over 30 mins to make the food, I would have assumed the order would at least be correct? Then they scooped some fried pickles and Cajun fries for me into individual cartons (after I reminded them several times which items were missing). But the boneless wings? They just drizzled some sauce over it and shook the box in front of me before placing them in a new paper bag with my sides. I was appalled that this is how the sauces are added to the chicken. Or maybe it's the dystopian first-hand view of how cheap chicken can be sloppily made, and the illusion is shattered. The only thing that tasted good and worthwhile was the Gum-Gum lemonade, which is a limited-time beverage anyway. Almost $60 for this level of service and order inaccuracy is ridiculous. I've been to some pretty bad fast food places, but this one topped it off.. this place is absolutely horrible.. I've been here three times each time I come all they have is fries and coleslaw for sides. OK what's going on here? Honestly, it looks like the workers are eating all the sides.. or Are the workers not smart enough to see when the portions are running low to make some more mashed potatoes? Red beans are too complicated for them!?! I could understand this happening one time but it seems like every time I go over there "sorry we are all out of sides. Been going to this Bojangles location for years. It's pretty consistent as far as food and cleanliness. Over the years some workers have been awesome and some just OK but prices and food quality are definitely worth stopping in . I usually get the same thing classic sandwich combo, no pickles and mashed potatoes - no gravy for the side unless they have the tackle box special with the shrimps. Amended to add: while I ordered three tenders and a drumstick and technically received those, I've never had pieces from Popeyes so small. I posted a picture with a Stringle for scale. Sure, I've had small pieces from other locations from time to time, but they compensated by adding MORE PIECES so you're getting a roughly consistent amount of food by volume or weight if the pieces are laughably small. This is wild. I know in my older review I said I'd still go here but the staff here is too lazy, incompetent, negligent, or mean to visit again. I've thrown good money after bad here and never, ever had a problem-free meal. Pathetic. I've been to this location a few times as 1) Popeye's is my favorite fast food and 2) it's the only location in the area. This is all unfortunate as I have yet to visit here and NOT have something go wrong. I think their favorite mistake is to give me the wrong sandwich. Like, a lot. If I get one for me or four for my family, there is a good chance the spicy chicken sandwiches we ordered will have been mistakenly swapped with classic or as of the other day blackened. I've also been given the wrong order when getting dinners with classic chicken. I've been here maybe ten-twelve times and over half have had these kinds of mistakes. The quality is mostly okay, but I have been served some less-than-hot food here and that mistaken blackened sandwich was like leather and it had more mayo than I've ever seen. Not on a sandwich, but in my life. This is also - and it's not even close - the slowest Popeye's I've ever, ever been to. Dinner rush is slow, lunch rush is slow, the middle of the afternoon when I'm the only one there is slooooow. I know fried chicken can take a bit if you're waiting for fresh, but this feels way more like employees dragging their feet. I've ordered ahead on the app and driven here and still been waiting. I'll keep coming here because I have a problem. I can quit Popeye's anytime I want. I just don't want to right now. If they ever get their act together, I'll happily update this review. But if you aren't already addicted, I cannot recommend getting hooked at this location. Fifteen or twenty more bad visits and I'll probably stop coming here myself. I LOVE COLE SLAW and fried chicken is not worth eating without it. How did they run out of cole slaw on a Friday night? Don't they order enough to make sure they are stocked for the weekend? I know I'm kinda losing it right now about this, but it makes me mad every time I can't have cole slaw with fried chicken. It was, without doubt, the WORST chicken I have ever had. Of the 8 pieces, 3 were TINY wings, 3 were TINY drumsticks, and 2 were breast. They were dark brown and grossly overcooked, dry as sandpaper, but with less flavor. My family and I ended up throwing out most of the chicken. I have frequented this place often in the past, but the quality has been deteriorating. But it is now the worst chicken fast food place anywhere. Unfortunate service. We ordered on the app before going in to make it easier but many things were forgotten. Our order consisted of the Number 1 with a large sweet tea and extra wing sauce, and the surf n turf with a coke and both cocktail sauce and ranch. For starters, there was only one drink when we went in to pick it up. It then took about 5 minutes for anyone to notice us waiting to ask for the other drink, even though everyone around us was being assisted. Upon finally requesting the coke, the guy at the front pointed to our sweet tea and asked "what's that?" We told him we had two drinks and he just stared at us without saying anything until we presented our receipt. When we got back to the car and opened our bag, we noticed that several things were wrong. The wing sauce barely filled 1/3 of the sauce cup. Both the ranch and cocktail sauce were missing and there was no fries with the surf n turf. There was also an added random sandwich that we did not order. At first, we thought it was someone else's order until we looked at the receipt again and confirmed it was ours (and everything we ordered was on the receipt but not in the bag.) I understand the service industry is taxing and working in fast food is not pleasant, but our customer service was subpar at best and it should not be that hard to get orders right. I ordered my food through Uber eats and the driver was very wonderful. She communicated with me and got the food here on time when I received my food. I was excited and I couldn't wait to eat the honey barbecue boneless chicken wings. I opened the container, I had the right amount of chicken wings however, the honey barbecue sauce looked like it had just been splattered on a few of the chicken pieces. The absolute lack of work ethic that exists here is ridiculous. I have been here several times doing food deliveries and how many times I've seen large groups of people walk out without even ordering you can't even count on your fingers and toes. I have literally seen employees eating chicken in the back while people from the drive through are walking in asking why it's been 25 minutes they have been waiting in their car. It honestly in my opinion comes down to poor management. I am surprised that corporate hasn't come in to review policies here. I'm sure the chicken is great but I don't know about waiting thirty minutes for a three piece is worth it. The blackened chicken tenders were so overcooked that they shrank to 1/2 of the normal size. It's not only dried, but could really cause a choking hazard when I tried to swallow. The mashed potato with Cajun gravy had no gravy.. I requested blackened ranch sauces and got regular ranch sauces. I was so mad that that I contacted corporate. They refunded me the money, but didn't really address any of my complaints. Stay far far away from Popeyes. They really shouldn't be in business, period. read more
