chopper's cupcake and the receipt of the $59.51 worth of terrible service and order inaccuracies
    Nini A.

Sent this feedback already over to Popeyes' survey website to bring up these issues, but highly doubt anything will come of it. I just can't believe how awful an experience I had. I was curious what the hype was with Popeyes, but now I know... I'm sticking to Chick-Fil-A. This is my first AND LAST visit to a Popeyes, ever, due to poor customer service and order inaccuracies. I placed a digital pick-up order today around 3:50 p.m. (PST) through their website and arrived at this Popeyes location around 4:13 p.m. to grab my food at the drive-thru. The order was still not ready, so they asked me to pull to the side at the drive-thru (literally blocking everyone at the exit so they had to drive around me), where I waited until about 4:27 p.m when 4+ cars' already received their order. Usually, I check my takeout orders before I leave, but I was assuming that if it took at least 30 mins to make it, the order would be checked for accuracy before handing it over to the customer??? Almost half of my order was missing! I don't care how busy it gets, I have never had this type of service or this low level of order accuracy at any other Wings restaurant (Chick-Fil-A, Wingstop, Fire Wings, etc. -- you name it). I did not check my order after pickup until I brought it home. That's what I realized I was missing: my Cajun fries, my fried pickles, my condiments of ranch and tarter sauce (which apparently they no longer have, but did not communicate that). I requested sauce on the side (for the condiments), but this was my first time ordering and did not think that meant for the [boneless] wings, so only the honey BBQ & signature hot sauces were given. Obviously, I had to inconveniently drive back to the store (luckily, I live a 10 min drive away).. When I returned to the store and walked inside, I was not greeted, and it took a few minutes for anyone to appear at the register. No surprise that there was a lack of service since the inside was empty of customers (besides one person sitting at a table with their bagged takeout order). Gawd, the vibe was like walking inside a wasteland with deadpan expressions and minimal or a lack of communication amongst all the working employees. I really should have pulled a Karen and asked to speak to a manager, but I managed to remain level-headed to tell them that several items were missing from my order. They said sorry and just gave me the excuse that it was busy. I straight up told them, I get that it's busy, but if it takes over 30 mins to make the food, I would have assumed the order would at least be correct? Then they scooped some fried pickles and Cajun fries for me into individual cartons (after I reminded them several times which items were missing). But the boneless wings? They just drizzled some sauce over it and shook the box in front of me before placing them in a new paper bag with my sides. I was appalled that this is how the sauces are added to the chicken. Or maybe it's the dystopian first-hand view of how cheap chicken can be sloppily made, and the illusion is shattered. The only thing that tasted good and worthwhile was the Gum-Gum lemonade, which is a limited-time beverage anyway. Almost $60 for this level of service and order inaccuracy is ridiculous. Mind you, I received nothing additional from this inconvenience besides pointless "sorrys," cold chicken (for all the time it took to "fix" it), almost $60 wasted, and anger. Do better.

That $6.99 Big Box is what's up.

Amended to add: while I ordered three tenders and a drumstick and technically received those, I've never had pieces from Popeyes so small. I posted a picture with a Stringle for scale. Sure, I've had small pieces from other locations from time to time, but they compensated by adding MORE PIECES so you're getting a roughly consistent amount of food by volume or weight if the pieces are laughably small. This is wild. I know in my older review I said I'd still go here but the staff here is too lazy, incompetent, negligent, or mean to visit again. I've thrown good money after bad here and never, ever had a problem-free meal. Pathetic. I've been to this location a few times as 1) Popeye's is my favorite fast food and 2) it's the only location in the area. This is all unfortunate as I have yet to visit here and NOT have something go wrong. I think their favorite mistake is to give me the wrong sandwich. Like, a lot. If I get one for me or four for my family, there is a good chance the spicy chicken sandwiches we ordered will have been mistakenly swapped with classic or as of the other day blackened. I've also been given the wrong order when getting dinners with classic chicken. I've been here maybe ten-twelve times and over half have had these kinds of mistakes. The quality is mostly okay, but I have been served some less-than-hot food here and that mistaken blackened sandwich was like leather and it had more mayo than I've ever seen. Not on a sandwich, but in my life. This is also - and it's not even close - the slowest Popeye's I've ever, ever been to. Dinner rush is slow, lunch rush is slow, the middle of the afternoon when I'm the only one there is slooooow. I know fried chicken can take a bit if you're waiting for fresh, but this feels way more like employees dragging their feet. I've ordered ahead on the app and driven here and still been waiting. I'll keep coming here because I have a problem. I can quit Popeye's anytime I want. I just don't want to right now. If they ever get their act together, I'll happily update this review. But if you aren't already addicted, I cannot recommend getting hooked at this location. Fifteen or twenty more bad visits and I'll probably stop coming here myself. Oh, and mind where you park if you go in. The line from the sloooooow drive through can wrap around and block you in if you're parked in front of the building. The dining room has been clean the couple of times I've been in, but the kitchen seems cluttered if not exactly unclean.

    Garbage.

I don't eat fast food. My wife does. We were in a hurry so stopped by Popeyes because I saw they had a buy one get one offer 4 days ago. Apparently that offer is up. We spent $45 and got 2 "spicy" chicken sandwiches, a kids meal "with milk" and a spicy chicken sandwich meal. Absolutely garbage. Not spicy at all. 2 garbage sodas that may be diet or not. Maybe that's okay for your kiddos....,. absolutely not for mine. My sandwich had a crispy bite on the outside, absolutely no flavor and Rubbermaid chicken in the middle that must have been boiled for hours. £[¥ this place. Garbage food for dine in prices. How do you advertise a ghost pepper sandwich and serve zero flavor?!?!?

These employees are so stupid they can't count past the number 1. We were supposed to each get a 3 piece. But instead, we got a one piece :) Please give your employees counting exercises before they start their shifts. I'll start with an example, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... great job now we can get the amount of chicken correct.

Popeyes chicken sandwich, with a few bites taken out..

I wondered if now that they've been open awhile they are now serving smaller tenders? The chicken - I have dined here 7-8 times since it opened. With the exception of my most recent visit for dinner on 7/10/26, the tenders were big, well-seasoned, juicy and crispy. I was disappointed on the last visit. The tenders were much smaller, were overcooked, and dry. I hope this was a one-off, because I would hate to see the food quality go downhill. The fries - the hand-cut, perfectly cooked and seasoned fries are amazing. The servings are huge, and the fries are hot & crispy. They serve the best fries I've tasted. The condiments - I love the condiment bar! They offer a wide variety of sweet, savory, spicy dipping sauces which you pump into serving cups and come back for more! The fountain beverages are also self-serve with free refills. The custard - I've only ordered the custard once. We took it home and it was very good. You won't be disappointed. However, right across the parking lot is Humble Cow ice cream and, given the choice, I definitely prefer Humble Cow. Service - the service is always efficient and friendly. I like that they bring the food to your table as soon as it's ready, so it's always fresh & hot. Atmosphere - the restaurant and tables have been clean on every visit. They have some TVs for watching games. The high ceilings make it overly loud and the air conditioner makes it so cold you'll want to have a sweater handy. The photo of tenders was from an earlier visit. They were much smaller on the latest visit.

And when I inquired about the various options, was met with a friendly explanation. The place was clean, ambiance casual with tables & chairs or benches. You bus your table afterward.... Pretty self explanatory and easy I placed a small order to try their sauces. It looks like they have a ghost pepper specialty meal which sounds tasty AND a bit scary . Lots of families stopping in for a quick lunch after a soccer event.. several to-go orders picked up while I was there. Moderately busy on a Saturday at 1pm with about 8 other eateries in the same location. The salad option looked good, but basically I'm not a fried food fan and even that includes fried food.... The food was good and the serving size (2 chicken tenders) was more than filling. If I ate fried food, I'd definitely return . It's worth mentioning there is a sign on the front door, warning that they use peanut oil in their product!!!!

Then I saw their TikTok last night, and let me tell you, that video had me craving it instantly. The scrumptiousness was living rent free in my brain all night, so today my son and I had to stop in and see what the hype was about. We ordered the Sour Diesel, the Fire, and the Afgoo, all on their toasted jalapeño cheese bread. First of all, the female employee who helped us was so friendly and welcoming. We do not eat out much, so we were genuinely excited and maybe a little impatient to try them. When they handed us the sandwiches, I immediately noticed how heavy they were. And the smell in the car on the way home, oh my goodness. Pure torture waiting to unwrap them. Then we got home and opened them up, and I was honestly shocked in the best way. There was actually a MEAL on that bread. Not one of those sad sandwiches that's 80 percent lettuce and air. These were loaded. My teenage son even commented on how good his was, and trust me, teen approval is not handed out lightly. The portions were generous, the flavors were bold, and each sandwich was totally unique and delicious. I can confidently say I have found a new favorite sub spot. Total hidden gem if you love a good sandwich that actually fills you up and tastes incredible. I did not grab a shake this time because it was freezing outside, but after seeing all the flavor options on the menu, I will absolutely be trying one next visit. Highly recommend in every aspect. I went inside to place an order. Although initially vacant at first, the space was quickly occupied by following customers lining up after my arrival. There were various options for ordering, but I decided to go with the nori wrap. You can select a customized option or go with one of their premade choices, which lists all the ingredients inside. I was feeling seafood so I went with the Seahawk. The employee asked me if I wanted everything with it, and I asked to just sub one of the sauces with the Chipotle sauce. The portions are definitely huge and worth the pricing, because she had to double wrap my order just so it would all fit and wouldn't fall out. To pair with the nori wrap, I also ordered the original miso soup, which comes with the usual tofu and seaweed but is on the sweeter side compared to what I'm used to. I personally like it sweeter but if you don't, I probably wouldn't order it. I usually order curbside pickup, and they have about six designated spots, which is honestly more than a lot of other locations I've been to. The curbside service has been pretty solid overall. Employees usually bring out my order quickly, and everything has been accurate so far. I especially love that they actually include the exact number of condiments I request in the app--sauces are non-negotiable for me when it comes to chicky nuggets. From the brief interactions I've had, staff seem friendly enough, and the food is typically hot, fresh, and about as good as you can expect from fast food. My main issue is with their late-night reliability. This location advertises being open 24 hours, but that wasn't the case during our recent visit around midnight today. My husband and I had placed a mobile order, only to arrive and find all McDonald's entrances blocked off with cones and no signage explaining what was going on. We ended up asking someone in a visibility vest, who told us to try walking up to the drive-thru. So we parked in the general plaza parking, and literally walked behind cars in the drive-thru lane, which already felt awkward and strange. It looked like they might have planned some kind of construction(?) work, but there was no clear indication--just one worker we spoke to and another using a leaf blower. When we finally spoke to a cashier, they said they couldn't view or fulfill any orders, without giving a clear explanation. When we mentioned we already paid through the mobile app, we were told to request a refund through the app, which we did end up receiving hours later, but it was still frustrating in the moment since we were hungry, had already spent our remaining funds for the night for McDonald's, and couldn't go elsewhere because everything was closing. As we were leaving, I noticed a worker placing what looked like stencil frames on the ground, possibly to repaint their faded markings for their drive thru directional arrows on the ground. If that was the case, it would've been nice to have some kind of notice ahead of time. Aside from that experience, my visits during the day have been consistently decent. Just probably won't risk coming here late at night again.

No longer fast food. After sitting in the drive-thru for 10 minutes and moving one full car length,…read moreI decided to run in and order inside. Tables were not wiped down, trash cans were over flowing, people in the lobby were being ignored. 2 of the 4 kiosks were out of order, the other two let you order but was unable to accept payment forcing you to wait in line for the cashier. Of which, there was no one around. In comes Jordan to save the day. From the busy drive through, Jordan hurried over to take care of who he could. Unfortunately he still had cars to take care of so it was short lived. I ordered on the kiosk at 12:19, had to wait in line at the cashier, and again for my food which came out at 12:35. From arriving at the location to leaving, we spent 35 minutes to get our food. This location appears to always be understaffed. You are very lucky if you get your order correct and not someone else's order entirely. Aside from Jordan, this stop was not a positive one.
