I've been a staunch advocate of the personal pan pizza since back when you could get one for free by pretending to have read several books. How many people received free pizza by pretending to read books, when they probably couldn't even read, and has that contributed to Pizza Hut locations being forced to shutter? That might be something for Kash Patel to look into once he finds Nancy Guthrie. MOD doesn't serve a pan pizza, that I'm aware of, but you could probably eat any of their menu items by yourself--though arguably that's true of any pizza restaurant, depending on your level of dedication. How many toppings can you request on one of these pizzas before they press a button mounted underneath the counter, like at a bank, alerting the authorities? They advertise unlimited free toppings, which seems almost impossibly generous, like when your grandfather would offer to buy you one of literally anything they sold at the grocery store back in like 1983. Perhaps needless to say, I was not aware of alcohol back then. The crust on one of their regular pizzas doesn't look like it would be thick enough to hold very many toppings, but it's surprisingly robust while still feeling light and crisp. It's honestly kind of an engineering marvel. I wonder if they spent billions in R&D coming up with it. Did the CEO take tiny bites of it and refer to it as "the product?" I didn't see a canonical list of toppings posted anywhere, though there was plenty of wall space, by square footage. They could have easily dispensed with some of the Applebee's-style local-themed decor. People who live in St. Louis don't actually like St. Louis. Especially in the county. If you're not sure what the toppings are, or which ones you'd like, you can just kinda point at things in the little bins behind the counter, like at a Subway. But it wasn't that serious. I was just going to get a pepperoni and jalapeno, which is an increasingly popular menu item these days (sometimes drizzled with hot honey, which no thank you), but I opted for something called the Mad Dog, which is their version of a Meat Lovers, but without as many meats. So more along the lines of a Meat Toleraters. And then I added jalapeno. This was their 11" original thin crust. It was more than I would have preferred to pay for a pizza, but it didn't seem excessive by 2026 standards. Because the crust is so thin, you could easily eat the 11" one by yourself. No Diddy. I'm not sure if I would have been satisfied with the smaller one. I'm Pierce Brosnan. This is not gourmet pizza, but it's surprisingly good for what it is. The crust seems genuinely artisan-level, and the toppings are serviceable. I was there with a group that had chosen to meet there, so I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. When I was somehow carded for a Blue Moon, it was noted that this was my 45th birthday. I asked the cashier if I could get a free beer. I couldn't, but I appreciated the fact that he honestly seemed to think about it. A guy from my running group bought me a knockoff version of a Ding Dong (the Hostess snack cake). This thing was insanely good. It had a thick candy shell that wouldn't melt right away if you set it on your dash and it slid into your radiator (ahem), a moist, rich cake on the inside (ayo!) and it was filled with cream. It was so good it was actually kinda inappropriate. If you ever visit, be sure to grab one. read more

Unfortunately they let us purchase a beer before checking the tap, and when they realized they were out they just gave us the option to choose something else. Having a dairy allergy, my pizza options are limited and often expensive- except when I go to MOD pizza. I love that I can grab an affordable, delicious pizza that is safe for me to eat. My favorite is the Dillon James with its slices tomato and fresh chopped basil and I've found the MEGA (11-inch thick crust) can feed me for 3-4 meals! I met a friend for lunch a few weeks ago and we decided to check out MOD Pizza. Since we knew it would be busy at lunchtime, we opted to order online prior to our arrival so that our pizzas would be ready when we arrived. It's a good thing we did, because the line was long (although it does move fast) when we arrived, but I was able to pick up my pizza quickly and I found a booth to sit in so that we could eat and enjoy our lunch. Mod gets a ton of things right. It's prices, the amount of toppings you can get and the fact that it's a pizza from a fire oven. All of that for under $10. On this particular visit, I had their $8 shroom pizza which was sausage, mushrooms, spinach, mushroom pesto and cheese. Great combo and an unbeatable price, almost makes me want to stop by tmrw :) staff are friendly, but pizzas can take some time even when ordering ahead. Where do I begin? I really love this place. They have great pizza that you don't feel gross after you eat. They are quick. They help the community. We had a fundraiser here months back, which was super easy and made us some good money. They have great service during this covid mess. We ordered extra Pizza's to go, and while we were waiting we were able to witness the way she handled different types of customers that each presented a unique challenge. Most people would have gotten upset and impatient with the customers. If your looking for a fast dinner this is a great spot to visit. The staff is very friendly and the food is always great quality. The waits are a usually not that bad and the food is always fresh. I would say sometimes when making the pizza I feel like more goes outside then inside. Sometimes they make it so fast all the ingredients fall down on the table rather than falling in the pizza. I absolutely love MOD pizza. We only get double crust, it holds the unlimited amount of toppings better. My family and I frequent here often, I think I'm like the duchess of it on here or something. Anyway, I took away a star away because there is NEVER hot water in the women's restroom! I have brought it staff attention many times. This last time back in like Jan, I was emailed a survey. I completed it and I mentioned it on there. Someone reached out assured me that they would handle the issue. I love this place! The guys who work here are so full of energy, and make you feel super welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. I love that I can put ANYTHING on my pizza, and it's the same price! I've made the best pizza I've ever tasted there, especially with their DELICIOUS cauliflower crust! It tastes better to me than regular crust, and no wheat bloating...it's amazing! And their no-name cake is my fav! You have to try it if you haven't before...made from scratch! And they have this berry drink that you can only find there, and it's phenomenal! So refreshing! You know what.. this is a darn good fast casual pizza at a great price point. I love the fact that the pizza is the same price regardless if you get 1 topping or 50 (note: they not have 50 toppings to choose from, but you get my point). Philosophical Question: How do people who come to the "build your own" style establishments end up not liking the food? Like my guy you made the f-ing food. Anyways, MOD pizza is lowkey a slept on food chain and I wish it got the recognition it deserved. There is one problem though. During one of my experiences here a prefunctonary synopsis took place that I found rather disturbing and hard to share. But I will, for the sake of yelp get into the nucleus of my story. I walk in after a grueling training session looking for something to eat. I settle for the classic cheese pizza and get on with my day. When asked for my name I say "Messi" because I'm a big soccer guy. After that I go find my fellow companions who sat at a rather dirty booth, but who cares these days. I wait and wait and wait and wait. Both of my associates are close to finished and I haven't heard my name yet. One of my mates tells me to go check and I go ask and say have you guys said Messi yet. No response. I walk back to my table and here is where the crux of my story takes a turn. I see a nice african american woman with a cheese pizza, but because it was such a common order I didn't think anything of it. That is until I saw the receipt out of the corner of my eye. MESSI labeled as the name for the order. This lady as kind as she may be had yoinked my pizza. That's not very post modern, post colonial, post renaissance of her to do such a thing. I kindly asked for my pizza back and she replied with "It's not my fault they done gave me the wrong pissa" I was baffled and quite literally stunned at this gerrymandering situation. I told the Mod workers they gave the pizza to the wrong person and asked for a new one and luckily they obliged. It takes a lot for me to share this experience and I hope the Mod system can become more efficient in the future. I have found pizza/salad heaven! Where else can you get ALL the pizza toppings and salad fixins for no extra charge? They have a huge selection of the freshest ingredients to choose from. I love the thin, flatbread-like pizza crust, too. (And they serve beer and wine) My only complaint is that it was super cold in the dining area when I was there. And this was an evening when it was about 50 degrees - in the winter. I can only imagine how cold it must be in there on a truly cold day! Last time I said don't use them again because the debted my account twice. It was finally straightened out but who wants the hassle. I should not have ordered with Mod Pizza again.
