I haven't had an Imos pizza in at least 5 years. I walked in this location, and discovered the same vibe that I've always felt here. It usually takes a few minutes for someone to greet you. My pizza was a sausage and pineapple, and it wasn't quite ready yet, so I sat on the bench to wait. I always hear the workers in the back, so I know there's a team of people. The pizza sauce wasn't as spicy as I remember. Or, maybe my taste buds have changed. I know I was chugging water after I ate, so I know it's salty. I have used this IMOs location a number of times over the past 3 years after I relocated back to StL Hills. This past week I ordered delivery of a pizza and a slice of cheesecake. The pizza was the typical IMOs, nothing fancy just a basic thin crust w/ hamburger. It was fine, but the cheesecake was completely wasted. When I opened the box it was delivered in the slice had sipped in half and was warm. I'm a IMOs regular and normally this location does a great job but tonight they did me absolutely dirty. Ordered a BBQ pizza no onion add jalepeno and bacon and this is what I open when I get home. No bacon, TWO singular pieces of chicken, and the pizza crust tastes old. Oh, and the sauce is sparingly on there as if it's coming out of the employees paycheck. Very VERY disappointed. read more

Not the closest to my house but the pizza is usually great - better than the one closer. I stop by occasionally when I am in the city. Tonight I thought I would stop in but when I called the phone rang for 1.5 minutes before a recording stating associates were busy so please call back came on. I have always had really good experiences at this location of Imo's. I always order online so I can get my rewards (they pay off 100%) and it's gotten a lot easier with their new app! I always like to check the specials going on, which you get a really good value when you put the specials to use. This time, I ordered on the app. I ordered a large pizza, 1/2 deluxe and 1/2 bacon. I also ordered a side salad with extra ranch for my pizza. The app tells you the status of your order, and was easy to pay on. I went to pick up my order about 30 minutes later. Parking here is either in the little lot with limited spaces to the right hand side, or on the street. I went in and told them my name and they said it would be a couple minutes (i was a smidge early). I ordered a soft drink while I was there, and they just charged my card on file. There is no space inside to eat, it's a grab and go location. There are a couple chairs to sit and wait if needed. Took my pizza home and it was fabulous and cheesy. The deluxe is fulllll of toppings, and exactly how I always remember Imos. It's always consistent. My bacon side was of course fabulous- as they're full pieces of bacon. 1 is the lowest I could give. My office orders weekly from this location. TODAY i ordered a lunch special..provel bites, salad and a bottle of water or if they were out a lemonade. They delivered the provel bites they were good, the salad was brown and some lettuce you could see thru which is a sign of old...threw it away cause it looked grosss! And the driver says we were out of bottled water so I brought you a large cup of ice water...UNACCEPTABLE. i paid $16 for this crap. This location will not get my business anymore. This store is very near my house but for years I went all the way to Tower Grove because the quality and accuracy here was so bad. Then I was informed they were under new management or ownership so I came back. The first 3 visits were so much better but the last 2 were not. Last night was the worst. I ordered a 4 topping medium with mozzarella provel cheese blend and well done for pick up. It was $17.40 and I gave the guy $21. I was heading to work so I held the box on my lap (this is important) instead of putting it on the passenger seat. When I got to work and opened the box I knew it was not a cheese blend but only provel, it was not well done and, that someone had either dropped it or held it at an angle. All the cheese and toppings had slide to the back left corner into a messy pile. After spreading them back onto the crust into what looked like liquid flesh I pulled the receipt to call them. I knew I could not go back because I was at work but wanted them to know they got it wrong again. In looking at the receipt it stated in 2 places I was due a $25 credit for the last screw up. How did they not see this and not charge me?? Anyway, I called told them it was a mess and I didn't want a replacement because I was just done with them. This is the worse Imos in St Louis. From now on I'll order from the Imos at Hampton and Clayton and pick my order up. They added pickles when I ordered it without, and the sandwich is soggy and nasty - I wouldn't feed it to my dog. One star because I couldn't select none. Update: After complaining to the store manager he personally remade the sandwich and it was perfect - not soggy at all, although by this time the hassle wasn't worth it. Hopefully the manager will get his crew under control. I'm upgrading from one star to three. read more

A group of friends and I went in expecting a delectable experience and came out 40 minutes later with a disgust for sausage and bacon. When we walked in we saw that the menu was to a minimum. We also noticed all of the tables were FILTHY. We ordered a meat lovers pizza and had to wait 40 minutes for our food to arrive. When the food did arrive our receipt was on the pizza covered with sauce. We also noticed that the cups were biodegradable but upon further reading they are not. Why even put that they're biodegradable if they aren't?? On the pizza there was an IMMENSE amount of bacon, and this is coming from a bacon lover. There was also big chunks of sausage that seemed to be white? One of my friends also had a hard time eating the pizza since it was so hard on her dentures. I've been a delivery customer for years. Recently, I ordered enough food for a couple meals. I pulled what I wanted out of the bag and put the rest in my fridge. The following day, I realized that my wings were not in the bag, but were on the receipt. I called this Imo's location assuming they'd simply issue a credit. I was given a hard "No" and the manager claimed his boss likes to "resolve order issues immediately or within the same day" and that there was nothing he could do. According to him, I should have immediately called, and he would not be able to give me store credit, and he can't bend these rules. He apologized again and suggested I call back more quickly if this happens again. The order was late at night. I didn't want to wait up for my wings to be delivered and was not able to call them back the next day until after work. Not willing to compromise with me regarding a $7.25 item has cost them my business going forward, as well as this review. read more

Terrible customer service. Placed a pickup order, arrived after the estimated time. Clicked on the here button in the email. Waited 10 minutes, no one came out. Called, was put on hold, waited another 5 min, no one took my call. Went inside. 4 different people looked at me at the counter from the cooking area & said nothing. Someone came to the register, ignored me, eventually walked away saying someone would help soon. Finally after waiting another 10 min, someone acknowledged I was there & asked what I needed but they couldn't help. Eventually someone comes out cursing under his breath telling the other people not to answer the phones because they can't take orders. I think him the extent of waiting & said if my stuff isn't ready, I'd like a refund & to be done. Imo's pizza is basically the same anywhere you get it in Saint Louis. This particular location is a Pick Up or Delivery only location. Don't plan on packing up the tribe and dining in for a few squares. The night I ordered a pizza while driving and arrived about ten mutes later, my pizza was hot and waiting for me. The young girl at the register was friendly and courteous. I also learned, March 25th is Imo's Customer Appreciation Day. I was given a bag of warm chocolate chip cookies for free. Its hard to beat free cookies. With all of the great pizza choices in the south city area, Imo's is a regular stand by. This used to be what I called "the good Imos" but it has seemingly gone downhill. The pizza was just so/so. It used to be crispy crust and zesty cheese/sauce combination. Now it was bland and disappointing. The chicken strips used to be big, meaty, moist, flavorful and crispy. The provel bites were barely warm, and had the texture of cardboard on the outside. These new sad excuses for chicken strips are tiny, bland, not crispy and kind of floppy that taste like nothing. I really feel like they gave me 5 tyson chicken strips, it was a joke. I almost drove them back to the store to personally ask WTF happened, but my wife insisted I let it go. This used to be "the good Imos", now it's "the Imos I'm not ordering from". Good Luck. Imo's Use to be a great place to have a St. Louis Style pizza. This location is not the place to go. I tried to place an order for delivery but they did not want to even take my order. The girl on the phone was trying to take the order but the guys working were playing grab ass in the background and were loud. I could hear them over her. She tried to ask them to be quiet but they just got louder, she asked them again and one of the guys said "who cares, just hang up on them" and next thing i know i was hung up on. There are a lot of places in the area with good pizza. Give them your money. This location i guess does not care about the business, they do just fine playing around and being rude. If it's your first time trying Imo's... here is what you need to know. Imo's is traditionally an thin crust provel cheese pizza. It is delicious. However, most people that don't like it usually don't like it because of the provel. If you do decide to try it. Get more toppings. Imo's is best enjoyed with lots of toppings (at least 3). If you go with just pepperoni or cheese or whatever, it'll taste boring. I am historically not a multi topping kind of guy but Imo's is the exception. Trust me. Imo's may seem a little bit expensive compared to the major chaing 9.99 specials running but its worth it for the change of pace. For those who already know about Imo's: Ok so nobody has reviewed this location in years and their last reviews weren't too spectacular. We moved in to the city about a year ago and were already attached to the Imo's brand. This location has been fine, if anything even a little better than some of the other locations. In terms of service, friendliness, cleanliness.... Don't expect much because its an Imo's carryout location in the city. You're not gonna get much if you are expecting high standards. But the pizza is good and they are always fast enough to get it to me. This location is carryout or delivery only! No dining area. read more

My boyfriend is a St. Louis native and has always raved about Imo's. While visiting his family we stopped in so I could try his long lost love - the $9 lunch special that includes a small one topping personal pizza, half a house salad and a soft drink. For the cost, it's a pretty decent deal. More than enough for one person. My critique has to do with the pizza quality so be prepared for a very thin crust, virtually no sauce and runny cheese; however, the same cheese is served unmelted on the salad with their signature dressing and is actually pretty okay.
