This location is still practicing social distance between customers and enforcing the COVID-19 pandemic precautions. They have indoor, outdoor seating area, and they have curbside pickup. They honor a military discount on your purchase with military identification. They are also operating on limited shopping plaza so there is no issues with parking. Being gluten free means not getting to eat everything that you want. Most of the time your having to sacrifice something. At Mod Pizza they were super amazing with my wheat allergy, no they can not guarantee that there is always they chance that there might be some cross contamination. However they do there best to make sure that it does not happen. Is someone with anaphylaxis I do understand that every times you eat out there is a risk even when they do there best. This is a pretty neat spot. It was my first time eating at a Mod Pizza and I was pleased with this location for the most part. It's one of those order your plate- add whatever ingredients you like to it and pay in a line kind of places.There was a long line when we walked in, so that was a good sign right? What I like most about this place is that you can order any size pizza you want with all of the ingredients you want for just the price of the size pizza you ordered. Before you order your pizza the way you want it, they take down your name so they can call you when it's ready to come out of the brick oven. My mother-in-law, my husband and my son all loved their pizzas. I also enjoyed mine, to the point that I was thinking of what I could make next time I come in again. My only hang up with this place was how there nobody was at the register, so I just kind of mingled there wondering how I was going to get a drink as I waited for my pizza. By the time my son's pizza was ready, there was still no one at the register so I asked for a cup to get my son a drink and then a guy asked if we had paid yet. We said "no, we haven't because no one was here." He apologized, gave us our cups and rang up our full order. Other than that, this is a pretty cool place and you get what you pay for. They have so many options for toppings that how can you not come back and try something else? They fixed a great style pizza for us as we picked type and amount of toppings for about $10. Can't beat the price and the pizza was very good. They are very accommodating in adding extra toppings and mixing sauces like red and spicy red. We love ours loaded with veggies and a few sprinkles of bacon. Visited MOD Pizza for the first time today. Based on website and social media I was expecting this to be the all-time perfect pizza and salad place. What a disappointment! First, this place has less atmosphere than a school cafeteria. It was loud (for those choosing to eat in) and the long line to order pizza was made unduly lengthy by the idle conversation the staff was having with customers about their attire and other nonsense. Similar to school you wait in line to order from a relatively simple menu and then it's linger to be called when your order is done. Our salads were nothing exceptional and overpriced for the quality. Pizzas are one size and probably equal in size to a medium pie at other pizza joints. The cheese and sauce was bland and our mushroom and sausage pie we had to hunt for the sausage. Together with the deafening scraping of metal chairs on the bare concrete floor, screaming children and a dinner that was entirely forgettable it will be a long time before returning to MOD. Positive aspects are the place is clean, parking is convenient, the staff is friendly, the iced tea and lemonade at beverage bar was fresh and good, and there is sufficient seating for families or larger party. Walked out thinking that with some interior finishes and additional menu items this could be the real pizza deal. Right now it's just not ready for prime time in my opinion. read more

The place was quite busy when we came but they served people pretty quickly. They have a mix of pre-made pizzas and byo. I like the build your own pizza options. The time has finally come, I have been waiting for this place to open for months now. I'm a huge fan of all the other MOD Pizzas and having one that is so close will probably be disastrous to my fitness routine, but I don't mind. This place holds true and can stand with the other MOD Pizzas in South Carolina. It was delicious! The staff was friendly, they have a few kinks to work out but since it was their opening day it was totally understandable. As time goes on I'm sure they will get faster and faster. So disappointed! We'd never been to MOD Pizza so as a surprise & treat to my family I downloaded the app & placed an order for 2 pizzas, cheese bread, a Cesar salad & chocolate milkshake. The food was ready, the gentleman waited to make the shake until I arrived so it would still be frozen which was thoughtful. The pizzas were not correct & I didn't realize it until I'd gotten home, 15 miles away. I'm including photos, but the pizza with pepperoni & ground meat was just your typical pizza so why they thought to spread BBQ sauce on top of a red sauce-ordered pizza (where BBQ sauce was supposed to be on the top of my Caspian pizza) I'm unsure but it ruined the flavor of the pepperoni pizza. The Caspian pizza that was described to have BBQ sauce swirled on top was missing that sauce so we're guessing they mixed up the pizzas? The crusts were burnt here & there, & the cheese bread was tasty but super greasy. The milkshake was the best out of the order so, on that note, we won't be back. Spending $47.47 on a milkshake & salad is too expensive, the pizzas & bread were a bust, especially since they messed up the pizzas & they tasted wrong. My family & I love MOD! I'm a huge pizza lover I always love trying different styles of pizza. MOD is delicious you pay by the size not toppings so you can build it how you want without the up-charge! You have so many options of what you can put on your pizza after you make your own pizza they cook it in a brick oven which makes the perfect crispy crust! Most poorly managed restaurant in all of Lexington and Columbia. Their General Manager Dann should seriously consider a job in something other than customer service. Also, one of their managers named Mindy spreads sauce out to the very edge of the crust causing the pizza to burn from the sauce melting off the edge and getting on the bottom every time. More than her inability to make a decent pizza let alone one better or even just as good as the regular employees is the VERY obvious fact that the staff does not like her. This is my and my families second time coming to this location. And I've had very bad experience. My husband has a gluten allergy and ask if we could leave the pan under the pizza. Like the gentleman in front of us had done. So it would less likely come in contact with gluten. The manager came out and told us that it was against policy. Had dinner here with five total in our party(3 kids over 11) Coming from Alaska, I was thinking MOD would be similar to Pizza Studio...I was way wrong, and that's a good thing! First, let me start by saying that I grew up in the northeast so I have a specific type of pizza that I call pizza. Mod Pizza is not northeastern pizza but more of an artisan pizza where the artist is YOU! They have a flat price for their pizza and all toppings are free. Yes, all toppings, as much as you want, are free. But that's only a small part of the great thing about this place. The staff here is incredible. I went to get my pizza when they called my name and before I could even look at it, the guy there told me it was "too well done for HIS liking and they would get me out a new pie ASAP"! It's rare that you find a restaurant that the people who work there have pride in the product they deliver so I have to give this place five stars! The second pie was PERFECT! We went on Monday not realizing they were doing a fundraiser. I spent $53 and it was absolutely HORRIBLE. I was at the table laying out napkins had NOT been to get pizza and was asked by 8 (no joke) kids if I wanted to throw anything out. We hadn't eaten one bite. EVERY slice the kids got was burnt. Not 5 minutes went by without some of the kids coming over to ask to throw things away. They even took a plate my daughter had not eaten anything off of.
