Don't go here if you're expecting a typical in person customer service. Restaurant was empty and we were first in line. Gal was finishing an online order. Fine. But then she proceeded to complete another order that had 3 pizzas. Then of course after that said 'Im gonna make 1 more order' . Our family left. Why don't you help the customers in line first after completing the 4 pizza online orders? Of course not ... let me make the online orders a priority. My sister and I were looking for a quick place to meet and eat after her work which was somewhere between Everett (where she works) and Seattle (where I live). We converged on MOD Pizza in the shopping center with Fred Meyer in Lynnwood. Some highlights about MOD: it is fairly painless to order and you get exactly what you want (you watch them build the pizza after all), it is fast, and it isn't too expensive. My only complaint is that, although they they have beer on tap, the selection is of just 2: the okay (Blue Moon) and the bad (Coors Light). It's the PNW, hello?! And pizza needs beer! The young man manning the oven (around 5pm) was helping a new staff member with my order (I had a free coupon) and seemed to be genuinely happy to be helping. Great friendly, fast service but the actual crust of the pizza was rather disappointing. The crust seemed dried out on my pizza and tasted more similar to a cracker crust than a normal plush crust I expect when coming to a MOD. Was able to customize my pizza with all of my fixings, jalapenos, pineapples, artichokes, roasted garlic, and left in and out within 10 minutes. Pretty efficient service when it comes to stopping into a pizza joint and getting a custom pie to go. Late night Christmas shopping capped with a visit to the Northpointe MOD Pizza on 12/17/16. Despite a Five Guys next door who make decent milkshakes, the Homie bought two chocolate milkshakes and the Maddie with the garlic rub. Despite the cold weather heading back home, the pizza remained hot and the shakes were chocolatey and spot on. One key observation made is that the counter staff were the most enthusiastic folks even half an hour before closing. This is amazing considering being slammed and crazy busy throughout their shift. Must be major criteria, staff that excel in customer service, prepare fresh ingredients, and provide superior end product. I am a huge fan of MOD Pizza because the wood fired pizza is thin crust and you can create your own masterpiece for one low price. The pizzas are usually ready in under 10 minutes; however, there can be a decent line at times. I order ahead from the website wether I am dining in or taking out. I just hate standing in line. They have added cauliflower crust, which tastes fantastic. Don't be fooled thought, this crust is not low carb or keto friendly. They use rice starch as a main ingredient, so there are a high number of carbs from starch. Still great for a cheat meal but it will definitely knock you out of ketosis. read more

MOD Pizza is one of those ideas you see in action and immediately your mind goes to "Why the heck didn't I think of that?". It basically takes a Subway type of concept and brings it to the wood fired pizza realm. Food: The pizza comes in three sizes (many people don't realize), and for most the original "MOD" size (middle size) is generally perfect. Just like a sandwich shop you can mix and match any toppings, and the pricing doesn't change. We're not talking nickel and diming you for guacamole (looking at you Chipotle) or ketsup (or you Burgermaster), it's one price regardless of sauce, herbs, and toppings. The toppings are fresh and the wood fire adds a nice char to the thin crust. Assuming no huge line, you can expect the pizza to be out within about 10 minutes of placing the order. Order and pay online, and you can skip the line and head straight to pick-up. For those more health conscious you can opt for a salad with pretty much all the same options as above (save sauce and dough). I love the ability to create a large monster salad, but the pricing is a bit steep given you're removing the dough/sauce/cook time. This MOD, and in fact most I've seen, serves some draft beers as well as bottled beer, cider and soft drinks. There's also some unique lemonade/teas/juices available. Insider Tip: While the fountain lemonade/juices are great, but you might need to cut them with water (pretty sweet). Location & Service: Located in the shopping center at 164th and Alderwood Parkway (anchor store is Fred Meyer), it's at a perfect location for those in the area, and judging by all the new condos/apartments in the area, that's a heck of a lot of you folks! Within walking distance you'll find a Fred Meyer, Medical Center, Mud Bay, Subway, Indigo, frozen yogurt, and Starbucks. Basically it's in an area where you can get a lot of shopping done making it convenient for those in the Lynnwood/Mill Creek area. Inside the layout is reasonably well thought out. The order does line up against the window from the entrance, so it can get a bit crowded/packed by the door. Noise carries a bit with no sound barriers, and because of the layout of the line, some of the best tables seem a bit overcrowded during busy times. There is an outdoor seating area for nice summer days, but given that you're sitting right of 164th it's not always well utilized. Service if fun and upbeat--one of the better MOD franchises around. Final Thoughts: For $7.87 the price is right for a customized personal pizza. It won't change your world, but it might just change your lunch plans. read more

Wow. I haven't had pizza this bad in a very long time. It's amazing considering the other reviews, and the recommendation from friends. Also, the place was busy, so we figured this was as sure bet. The crust was like a saltine, without the salt. It literally had no flavor. I'm used to wood-fired pizza, thin crusts, and a little char on the edges. This crust had no flavor, no chew, and no other redeeming qualities. If you reference the photo I added, you'll see that there was nothing on 1/4 of the pizza. The toppings and cheese didn't really add much to the mix. Beyond all that, the pizza was greasy. I don't know how that happened considering that there wasn't much on it to begin with. The garlic knots were tiny, not cooked all the way though, and not worth what I paid. The garlic on top of them was entirely raw, and looked like it was added as an afterthought. The only thing good here was the coke zero. I could have, per their sign on the wall, had them remake the pizza, but I had already waited a good 20 minutes for the first one. I was also in the biggest hurry to leave a restaurant than I have been in a very very long time. I usually save a 1 star review for stuff that is truly terrible. Nobody stabbed me, or called me bad names. But this place didn't follow any of the three parts of Allen's Law: "Good, Cheap, or Quick: pick two." It was not good, cheap, or quick. Our first time here was OUT OF THIS PARK great!!! As I've mentioned in previous posts - I can be VERY picky. When you combine that with me following (and rocking!!!) the WW 360 plan...well, things just got a little bit crazier. The boys wanted Pizza (why else would we come???) but I really wanted a fresh green garden salad with lots of yummy toppings. This well-intended idea started out ok but when I realized I was only willing to eat 3 toppings, it quickly fizzled. I ordered this sad little salad (it really was me, not them) and I was left with a small meal and a disappointment very clear on my face (tried my best not to pout) while my husband INSISTED I order what I really wanted. The manager could also see I wasn't going to be happy and INSISTED (very politely but firm) that he was going to make me exactly what I wanted. At this point I was getting a bit embarrassed and told him it wasn't a big deal and that I would eat what I ordered. Long story short...I ordered the best tasting BBQ chicken pizza I've had in a very long time, he refunded my salad order AND gave me two coupons for free pizza's good at any of their locations. While trying to decide what to have for dinner, my wife and I were torn between Five Guys and MOD Pizza. Right off the bat as we walked in the door we were greeted by all of the employees. There's nothing better then to get greeted, it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I love the fact that you can get every topping possible and pizza stays the same price. How can you beat that?! I ended up getting the ten inch Caspian with mozzarella, Gorgonzola, BBQ chicken, red onions, and BBQ sauce. Then I added jalapeños, spicy Italian sausage, black olives and bacon. It cost a little over $7 after tax. My wife got a ten inch create your own and we also got some garlic knots. Just as I sat down they called my name an my pizza was done. It was crazy fast. Very impressive!! The pizza was fabulous and had great flavor especially since it was cooked in a brick oven. YUMMY!!!! Couldn't ask for better service from the employees and we both love the pizza.
