Great place, honestly one of the best I've ever been to. This location and the Carolina Forest one are fantastic. That being said I don't know what happened tonight with the people behind the counter tonight. The guy with the backwards hat was really great but it seemed like he was by himself. The young lady he had on shift with him was totally disgusting, it was so weird to walk into a place to try and get some pizza and watch as this woman became more and more irritated with having to do her job. She literally was lamenting about the fact that people were inside the lobby around 7:50pm, and openly talked about throwing them out and not even let them finish their food. She was adamant about the lobby not being open, she was nasty to the guy about the store, and she was especially disgusting to us out of nowhere. We came in and we tried to get a pizza and they barely had put any cheese on it, it didn't even cover the pie. We asked for more from the guy but after we did his rude coworker in the back spoke up and was adamant on him not giving us more cheese. She said that we could get more cheese at the end and that he wasn't even supposed to give us the amount he had. Lady, who puts cold cheese on a finished pizza? That coupled with the fact that she was practically standing over him being very rude about how they didn't have enough ingredients to even last them the rest of the shift (they did, MOD closes at 9 like cmon now), it ruined our whole experience. We literally just said we didn't want it anymore after she made two people feel awkward over some subway pizza, and walked out just to write this review. I wish I knew their names, but if you're the owner seeing this give that guy with the backwards hat a raise! He was doing everything he could. We went at 7:50pm on February 19th. The lady who was really rude had dark hair tied back, blue jeans and a mod pizza shirt on with the new tron movie logo on the back. Usually I love this place but tonight (2/19, 7:30pm) I received the worst customer service experience of my life from the girl who was working. The pizza I was trying to order barely had any cheese on it, like it was covering maybe half of the pizza and when I asked for more she was extremely rude and wouldn't allow it. She was extremely stingy on everything and I wasn't even asking for more than a normal amount. We ended up just walking out because she was being so mean about everything. MOD Pizza can do no wrong. If you are new to fast casual individual pizza joints, just picture chipotle, but with pizza instead of burritos. You start with your crust and build as you go, adding whichever toppings you like. I had the gluten free crust and it was one of the best I've ever had! There are more topping options than you can imagine, and they are all included at no extra charge. Compared to other restaurants of it's kind (Your Pie for example), they are much more generous with the toppings and the crust itself is bigger for the same price. Haven't been to MOD in a while, I remember it being so yummy so we gave it another try. Ordered 3 pies. I am so disappointed. There were so many bubbles in the crust. We should not have been charged almost 9$ for a pie that was not a whole pie. One pie had burnt crust, the image of the 2nd pie, I am attaching is half cooked on one side. CHecked OUt MOD pizza last night. A concept we were first introduced to in Clemson, SC at "YOUR PIE". This line went much faster. They do offer GF crusts... and they taste quite good too. Many topics and you can also build your own salad as well. Small salads are $5. Which I think is a bit much for such a small bowel. Pizzas are $7.97 which is a good deal for an 11-inch the way you want it. $2 extra for Gluten Free crust. Seating is plentiful, they have outdoor seating as well. To-Go- boxes are small and easy to carry. Staff seems pretty friendly... more so than the crew at the local build-your-own-sub places. Ordered last night at 8:30 online for pickup. I ordered the Dominic and Carmen with no jalapeno. We got to the store early and parked at curbside pickup and called them so they knew I arrived. The gentlemen said my order would be right out. So, about 3 minutes later he came out and said he made a mistake that the pizza was still cooking and it would be a few more minutes. We said no problem. So in the meantime I saw a couple customers pick up their orders and leave. The same guy went to a table and was drinking a pop with some other people. I am thinking Did they forget my pizzas? Finally around 9:00 another guy came out with the food and asked what was the name on the order? We were the only people there. When I got home and saw the pizza, the carmen crust was burned. Looks like they did forget. The pizza tasted good and I will most likely give them another chance, but this should not have happened. Staff comes off standoffish, pretty sure they didn't want to be there but Service was fast. Dude with the glasses at the cash register was very nice. The guy preparing my pizza mumbled so it wasn't clear on what he was asking me but he didn't mess up my pizza. It really made me mad that I couldn't get a simple 4oz ramekin of garlic sauce on the side to go. If I knew that, I would have asked for it on my pizza but last time I was here too much was poured on my pizza, which is why I wanted it on the side. Ive been seeing MOD pizza open up in various locations so it has been on my list. You can create your own pizza or pick from specially created ones. We ended up ordering a pepperoni and cheese pizza (mod size), a mini salad, and some breadsticks. The ingredients seemed fresh, but while the overall taste was good it wasn't necessarily great. It is a little bit more expensive compared to your typical pizza joints. Overall it was an okay experience & definitely a place to check out if you want to upgrade your pizza night a bit without breaking the bank. read more

These fast/cheap/custom pizza places are in style right now and popping up everywhere, I've tried several of them and this is on the scale of the better ones up there with the "Blaze" franchises which is my favorite of these types. It's never going to blow you away as the best pizza you've ever had, but it's very affordable and good pizza. Worlds better than any Pizza Hut or papa johns you could get and probably still cheaper. The thing that makes Mod stand out to me is the menu has three different size options which is nice, the downside is the absence of fresh mozzarella as a cheese option.
