This is definitely one of the better Mod locations I have been to. The staff was all smiles and ready to joke with me about my weird assortment of toppings. Great place! Love their huge pizzas! I wonder how they make them... Overall a fun place to bring kids to. My niece and nephew were over the top when they found out about the extra large pizza slices. We went there on Sunday, seems like they were short handed, 1 guy was running around like a chicken with out a head, from cashier, to help the cook, to pick up the trays, to prep the dough. I've been to MOD at two other locations and they all serve pretty good pizza. I like thin crust pizza. Plain cheese. So the flavor of their sauce and texture of cheese is darn good. I do like their salads. All fresh ingredients. Line up at counter to order pizza. You get your own drinks. This is a kid friendly place, so nice for young families. Good location. Mostly high school and college kids working there. They do a decent job moving people thru. Outdoor seating. Lots of parking. We missed lunch crowd so not sure how they handle the rush. Recently opened in the Target shopping strip across from HEB. Stopped by late on a Sunday night for a quick dinner pick up. The staff were friendly and we were waited on quickly and efficiently. Will definitely be coming back since MOD is one of our favorite pizza places. read more

I have been to this location many times. It is normally a good experience. Today was not. I walked in about 10:40am. 2 of the employees yelled across the room "she has to get the dough first!" It is fine if they weren't quite ready but the way the 2 yelled sounded like they were angry that I was there. One of them finally came over and made my pizza. She wasn't very friendly, but took care of my order. I paid and waited for my to go order. I watched 3 total employees working quickly, but no one was greeting people or being very friendly. They seemed annoyed to have customers in the building. My pizza came out and the same girl who made it, put it in a to go box with the lid open. The employee with the purple hair spilled something on the floor. All 3 employees worked to clean up the mess, ignoring my pizza. They completely cleaned up the mess before cutting my pizza. The girl who took my order and put the pizza into the to go box finally cut it. When she called my name - as I was standing now staring at them while they cleaned the mess- I thanked her for letting my pizza sit and get cold while they cleaned up the mess. She told me "your welcome." I left with a cold, burnt pizza. Once I got home, I found that the bottom was black. The crew that opened today is the worst I've seen in MOD pizza. They were working hard - but no customer service skills. I am sorry I left any tip and won't go back. read more

This is my second time coming into this location and it will be my last. My first visit was last year when they had first opened and I had met the manager Chris, he made sure the mod experience was great for everyone walking through their doors.This time around it was a complete nightmare. This location is first of all filthy, the restroom had toilet paper all over the floor and there was half eaten pizza crust under tables along with other trash. Another problem was the lack of cheese on my pizza. I love plain cheese pizzas so I was very disappointed after they gave me the smallest scoops of cheese. I had even noticed that I was not the only person annoyed with the lack of cheese as other people behind me in line kept asking for more cheese on their pizzas. I'm not sure if their new manager is being cheap with the cheese or if its corporate cutting back on cheese, but they need to fix this problem. I also couldn't help but feel bad for the workers that were running around everywhere, maybe they were short on workers but that was unacceptable to leave people waiting at the register while all the workers were busy doing other tasks. I didn't even want my "pizza" by the end since it was just a thin crust saucer with marinara sauce. This location has really gone downhill. read more

I want to keep giving this place a try, but they continue to ignore procedures and endanger people's health. I have Celiac disease. I am gluten free, and not by choice. I understand you can not prevent all cross contamination. It's not possible. However, there are policies and procedures in place to at least try. This store doesn't follow them. I have politely had to remind them to change their gloves, which they've always done willingly. I've had to politely remind them to use the designated shovel and pizza cutters. Yet, again, I just watched as an employee cut my husband's pizza and switch to mine with no regard for procedures. I am forgiving, but this has been every trip the last 5 times we've been here. They've remade pizzas and given me gift cards for a free one before. However, they have done nothing to address the issue. Considering 8-10% of the population has Celiac disease, you'd think they would at least make efforts to not make their customers sick. Especially when they've been reminded of their own procedures and been given plenty of chances. read more

The pizza at MOD Pizza is Simply Delicious it is fresh hot and served with a light thin crust which is easy to eat. The crust brings out the flavor of the toppings. I like the concept of this place however I got a "mini" pizza that was the size of my hand for $8 after taxes after eating that I was still hungry. $8 for a mini pizza is expensive in my opinion. I went to use the restroom while I waited on my order and it wasn't clean at all, there was toilet paper on the floor and liquids on both toilet seats. I love this pizza joint, but realized only depending on the location like the one on Richmond by the Galleria will I get a good experience. The Grand Parkway location could take some tips on customer service from that one. I visited this location yesterday due to my oldest son wanting to celebrate his birthday eating from this pizza joint. We ordered 3 Megas and I had them use his name on all 3 due to the occasion. The cook at the fire pit called our order name while in front of the stove and asked about sauce, but hard to say off the top of your head if you're a recent customer and unfamiliar with the variety he was in such a rush for us to decide. He began to lecture us that basically we should have figured it out when he was standing at the pit getting ready to pull our pizzas out. Listen, I'm grown and don't to be lectured period! The wise thing to do is make recommendations based on flavor and popularity and have another team member oversee that process so he can focus on the stove. My wife and I have been going to this location since it opened. We are regular customers and we used to enjoy interacting with the staff and receiving fresh and crispy pizza . We used to walk in greeted by friendly faces and now every time we walk in, it's a gloomy setting with managers that clearly don't know how to train their workers. It is understandable how people could have some bad days but recently it's been horrible. I'm not sure what has changed these past few months but it seems to get worse after every visit. In our most recent visit, we walked in and the line was to the door. They only had 2 workers making pizzas. I'm not sure whose idea it was to not schedule an abundance of workers on a busy Friday night. I noticed that it was really unprofessional how one of the workers was screaming at what it looked like to be her kids in the dining area jumping on the chairs while attempting to do her job at the same time. This was highly unprofessional and it should not be tolerated in a place of work. These are all noticed patterns I observed during my recent visits. When we finally placed our order, they misplaced my pizza the first time and had to remake it. When I finally got my pizza, there was a hole in the middle of the pizza and they gave it to me as if there was nothing wrong with it. I didn't want to wait any longer for my pizza that I paid for so I left. My wife's pizza was burnt and they didn't even care. They constantly called customers up to ask if the pizza that came out of the oven was their pizza. Clearly there is no coordination at this store and this is unfortunate. My wife and I will be visiting this location again and I don't recommend this place to anyone truly. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. The place was clean inside. The staff was very friendly, and made sure everything was correct for my order while making my pizza and salad. Food was decent for the price, except for the salad. Lettuce could have been a little crisper, was a tad soggy. Definitely would recommend this place to others. Unknowingly went to their grand opening and saw GREAT staff. Also wasn't aware of their philanthropical work, but was so touched by them inviting local foster kids to be the first guests. Saw them offering them free dessert and gave all the customers free water bottles, vouchers, you name it. Very impressed. Pizza is tasty but was almost slightly undercooked-- apart from that, love this place and will most definitely be returning!! read more
