I went to this location on Saturday and absolutely was shocked. They were so rude when we went into the restaurant and they said "ugh four more customers" then when we were ordering our pizza she had no smile on her face and was glaring at us the whole time. She was very rude. Then we asked for some extra ranch she didn't even look at us and just put the ranch on the counter. It was just us four in the restaurant and the service was completely horrible. I love this place! The folks there are so kind, caring and considerate and have empathy! I didn't have enough for a pizza during my lunch break from across the street @River Square Mall! And one 9f the workers that knows me and my frequent visits to this pizza parlor, offered me his free pizza and and said to enjoy the rest of my evening! Would have given a zero if possible. Picked up pizza to go and it was swimming in so much white sauce it was not edible! I love subway style yums. Getting to pick all the things that you want in such a way that isn't too expensive and MOD does an excellent job. I can basically throw every veggie they have on a pizza and add all the other things and it is seriously delicious. I love the crust and that I can eat a whole pizza to myself and there is no judgement. PLUS - that pesto sauce is life. Dreams are made of good pizza. There are no added charges for toppings which is a real game changer and so exciting. The customer service is great. Groups are great, kids are well taken care of and take out is easy. read more

MOD Pizza is always reliably good to me. Also, they have non-dairy cheese (which means I can actually enjoy a pizza with cheese on it!) We came here pretty much on a whim, as we were near the mall and it smelled good from outside. The interior of every MOD is modern and cute, but I especially loved this one! The bar seating at the windows looks out into perfect people-watching territory. If you have any sort of dietary restriction or food allergy, do not go to this location until they figure out proper food handling techniques. For the second time, I have ordered a pizza that I watched them make that had "surprise sausage." I am not sure how it is getting on the pizza, but this time it was a huge chunk of Italian sausage. I even asked them to use a clean cutter (and they did), yet the sausage was still there. There are all kinds of reasons that people don't want to eat something. Maybe it's a choice, maybe it's religious, maybe it's a health concern. If you are allergic to absolutely anything that they serve, do not go there. Don't count on watching them make it to assume that it won't end up on your pizza.The ingredients are mingled carelessly. I saw one employee throwing cheese on a pizza that ended up all over the vegetables. They shove their fingers in the meat then right into the vegetables. There were random chunks of leafy greens in the red sauce. The preparation area looks like a nightmare with random pieces of everything scattered all over. It makes me pause to wonder that if they are this gross where we can see it, what do they look like in the back? Yelp is right: Methinks not. read more

I don't see them getting anything wrong .. and hope I did not just jinx them :) No matter if they have a house full or if you are the only one present .. the Pizzas come out steaming and as good as you would expect. The only thing that I have been disappointed about is that for the past 2 visits .. they have not been keeping any roasted cauliflowers which I kinda miss .. but that has nothing to do with the pizza or taste or anything. Exactly what we needed. Love these make your own pizza places or order a pre-selected one that you can still customize. The pizza was delicious and quite filling. Food in Spokane so far had been disappointing so we decided to eat something basic from a chain restaurant lol we knew this couldn't disappoint us and it didn't. Pizza on cauliflower crust was good. I am knocking off one star due to one of the women working here who was not speaking loud enough and seemed unhappy to be there that day. For a chain restaurant, customer service should be at the forefront of training staff. She seemed very annoyed by all three of us and I get why but we had to ask her to repeat herself multiple times. rude staff! I keep giving this location one chance after another thinking maybe it's just the time I'm going in there however, it seems to be super consistent. Every time we walk in we are completely ignored and it takes several minutes for anybody to come over and acknowledge us. The lady asked my name and I said we are going next-door to grab a couple things and will be coming back over how long does it usually take? She rudely responded and said can I get a name? So excited that Mod Pizza has finally graced the streets of downtown Spokane (my diet begs to differ). The staff is friendly and energetic (fingers crossed that this continues), and the food is ready in a quick, efficient manner. It's hard to believe that you can customize your meal from scratch, and still have it ready in the blink of an eye. Mod will undoubtedly become a new hot spot to frequent during everyone's lunch hour. This place was horrible. My husband and I were craving a slice of cheese pizza and a salad, so we decided to try MOD. Bad choice. When we walked in, the girl at the counter ignored us and tried to serve the people behind us in line first. We were literally standing in front of her. Weird. Next, our salad had soggy, slimy pieces of old lettuce and the balsamic dressing was bland and flavorless. Finally, we got our "pizza." It looked and tasted worse than a Totino's frozen pizza. The thing was tiny with crust that had the flavor and consistency of a saltine cracker. This place needs to spend a lot more time on their food and less time promoting a gimmick of how "new," "cool," and "mod" their restaurant is. In one word: gross. read more

Went to MOD today. I ordered online and it took me 10-ish minutes to arrive. Despite the store being nearly empty they had not started to make my order. Also a few months back(3-ish) the personal pizzas got noticeably smaller. The small pizza used to be a great size for lunch. Now I leave hungry. I used to come 1-3 times per week and now only once every few months. Truly a bummer. read more

I took my aunt here and it was her first time eating out at a pizza place different from Dominos. She had a great time picking her own toppings and was happy that the pizza didnt taste like cardboard.
