I've been to multiple MOD pizzas and this place tops the worst. Upon entering, no greeting, not even a glance or a smile. At the counter, the girl making the pizzas essentially was making a slab of dough with sprinkles of toppings rather than making an actual pizza. I had to continuously ask to add more of each topping every step of the way. Everyone working in the place looked miserable as if they hated their job and their life. When attempting to communicate with the girl making the pizzas, she continuously acted as if she had some reason to rush me when my wife and I were the only ones in the line and the store was mostly empty. We were quite confused to what the sense of urgency was. Additionally, my wife has dietary restrictions and wanted the spicy marinara, however, the marinara was filled with a layer of cheese from lack of care to prevent cross contamination of the ingredients. When my wife mentioned she wanted the spicy marinara and couldn't have it because of the cheese, the girl just stared blankly with the personality of a tree, and proceeded to ask if she wanted any other toppings. The rosemary, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, basil, etc. was all mashed together on a to-go container lid instead of separate from one another so that's an unfortunate pass. The guy placing pizzas in the oven kept wiping his hands on his nose without gloves on and proceeded to touch all of the pizzas bare-handed/gloveless; we didn't recognize this until we had already eaten. It sucks to eat and then immediately be sick to the stomach. Our pizzas weren't even cut completely. Both of our pizzas had a missing cut which produced two slices into one. After eating, we felt itchy in the throat and sneezy. The attention to detail and professionalism lacked significantly. The care, respect, and decency regarding cleanliness and health safety were non-existent. The cleanliness of the place lacked as well; especially by the drink station. Dinner out turned into a trip to the doctor to ensure we didn't catch some unnecessary illness from filthy peopHard no on returning here.

Solid pizza ..... it better be you chose the toppings. At a solid fair price. Along with great customer service every time I come here. Great place to bring the family. Build your own pizza, because, don't you just hate it when someone picks the toppings off your piece.

Such an awesome staff here. Tim is upbeat, nice, always a smile & happy to help. He literally can change the vibe of your day with his great personality. Pizza is always cooked perfectly, never burnt on the bottom, crispy, loaded with toppings & cheese they make it how you ask with a smile. Lots of fresh topping, spacious seating area, just good clean pizza. Don't miss out, all locations are not as awesome as this one.

There was plenty of parking, the service was fast because the pizzas are made as you order down the line, and the pre made pizza topping combos are a nice convenience. But the pizza itself is fine, nothing to write home about. I took half of mine back home and reheated it for lunch leftovers the following day, only to find the crust almost inedible. It just wasn't worth it, compared to other build-your-own pizza places. Their version of a ding dong was great though.

$11 bought a perfect lunch filled with flavor, in a clean, friendly environment! Experience began with sincere greeting, "Hi, welcome to MOD!" First Decision: size. I'm good with mini. Second, order "classic" (ingredients already determined) or build my own? Are you kidding? MY OWN is WHY I M Here!!! Pesto sauce, ham, olives, anchovies, mozzarella And Asagio! Hey, and since I'm going to See The Godfather, extra roast Garlic! All were arranged to my specifications. Minutes later, I was presented with a pizza on a wonderful thin but crunchy crust. Enjoyed my mini with Angry Orchard while considering a carafe of locally brewed wine, and listening to the perfect volume of delightful MOD sounds from excellent system.

Great pizza crust and amazing choice of toppings! My hubby got a meaty combo, tyke got a pepperoni, and I went crazy: Pesto, chicken, artichoke, broccoli, tomatoes, blue and asiago cheese. Yummy, and crispy crust. Fresh and high quality ingredients, super friendly staff and lots of fun beverage choices: Mario berry lemonade, shakes etc. We will be back as it was fast, fresh and easy.

After eating one too many terrible pizzas, this native New Yorker finally found one that she could happily eat. Bringing pizza into the world of customizable cuisine, MOD Pizza invites even the most persnickety of customers to find and create their perfect meal. Starting with a thin circle of dough, I was able to travel down the line and choose anything I wanted, from sauce to cheese to toppings, even a finishing drizzle. The fact that they offered vegan cheese for no extra cost was an incredibly huge plus (I would have been happy enough with the fact that they had it at all). At the end, it went into an oven to bake, and since the dough was so thin, it took merely minutes before they were calling my name for pickup. The dough is definitely different from most thin crust pizzas, having more of the toothsome stretchiness of a tortilla than a true pizza. Still, it was delicious and I polished off my four slices in record time. It was a great meal for a little more than $7, and those who are more or less hungry than I was will appreciate the fact that there is a pizza size for both. The 6-inch crust offers a smaller meal for those with minimal appetites, and the larger size takes TWO crusts (with sauce and cheese) and places them atop each other for what would seem to be a shallow deep dish pizza. The more indecisive customer will enjoy their extensive list of premade combinations, which even includes salads (which can be placed atop asiago crusts so that they're more like a salad pizza). The service was friendly, with everyone at the counter boisterously calling "Welcome to MOD!" as soon as we entered and the manager checking in with us mid-meal to make sure we were doing okay. We enjoyed our meal here and will definitely be back!

Some of the best pizza I've ever had! I walked in willing to eat "pizza", and walked out vowing not to settle for anything less than PIZZA! G.M. John was very generous with his time, and shared something that I'll share with you. If you are planning on a large number of toppings, ask for them to be added sparingly. I know, I know, it's counterintuitive, but it makes for a better pizza. My suggestion: If you are planning on lots o' toppings, ask for light sauce - or, better yet, go with olive oil and/or garlic rub. Mind you, this applies to your return visits. Go ahead and go wild on your first visit and just pile on everything! It's a rookie mistake - you may end up with more a casserole than a pizza - but you will still enjoy your meal. The only real negative is the black "crust dust" you end up with on your fingers. I recommend Buffalo sauce to remove! (Oh, and John, I want credit for coining the phrase "crust dust").

I really like MOD pizza. I love that fact that you can load it on and you are NOT charged per topping. The pizza tasted good and it was a good value. The atmosphere is good for families and was clean. We will definitely go back. I gave 4 and not 5 stars because I am a pizza snob and NY pizza in NYC will always be my 5 star pizza, but this is good pizza and from me that says a lot, A LOT!!! read more

Not only have I loved the pizza here every time but I also really like the staff a bunch. They are super laid back, accommodating and kind. When it is busy it can take a bit of time for you to get your pizza made so don't go if you are in a hurry. Thanks for always doing a great job! I highly recommend it here and I'm thankful Mod is in The Woodlands! Josh read more

I had to update my review because MOD's inability to put the requested toppings on a pizza hit its zenith last night...three pizzas all made wrong! The trifecta! I'm not sure I'd want whatever MOD's employees are smoking. On one pizza the order taker confused basil with bacon. Perhaps partially understandable. On the other two, they just did not add the requested toppings even though the cheat sheet they lay below the pizza had the requested toppings correct. The maker just didn't add them. Duh. The manager said "would you like me to add" the cold toppings to my hot pizza? Yuck. How about I remake them. It'll take ten minutes (that I don't have which is why I press-ordered). I said I'd just take them and to his credit, he refused to take my credit card. So we got home and some type of stringy paper or maybe just really stringy cheese (I think paper) was adhered to the bottom of junior's pie. Double yucccckkk. I think I'm done with MOD unless they give the entire staff a drug test. What a waste, it's not Giordanos but it's pretty decent pizza for The Woodlands, food desert. 10/13/19 Another night, another messed up App order. How you can look at a pizza with Canadian bacon and mushroom on it and put it in a box labeled olive, sausage and basil is beyond me. A sniggering apology, no "We'll give you a freebie, etc." and they burned the crap out of the remake while my other two pizzas turned to cold glop. This place is awful. read more

Love this concept. I first ate at a MOD in Round Rock. We went to the location nearest to our house and to let hubs try it out. It was a tab bit overwhelming for him. He ordered the medium size like he wanted and I did too. Only thing, as much as I love anchovies, I sincerely believe they were off. I still has a piece of pizza left and I felt nauseated for a day or two afterwards. We both do like this place, for when the Grand babies visit, but we will stick with a more adult type pizza place for the two of us. Great counter help! Busy, busy family place. It is a thriving business. read more

Love it! The Mod pizza salad is amazing. It's basically a pizza subway. You pick what you want on it (pizza) or in it (salad). And sonic ice. Need I say more. Tried this location for the first time. People are super friendly. Really wish they would build one in our area. It's so good we continue to drive 30 minutes to get to one. read more

Placed my order online, got there at the promised time. They did not have my order ready, after scratching around, they found the slip and started making my pizza. Then they had to go scare up some mushrooms, that took a while. Finally my pizza made it to the oven. Then it got "lost/buried" under some papers at the boxing section. I finally left there with a barely warm pizza 20 mins past the promised time. Pros: Friendly staff, pizza is decent, great price Cons: Need to work on their online orders. read more

This is a cool concept! There are endless toppings and sauces, and you can add as much as you want all for the same price. It's a great value with the regular mod coming in at less than $8. But here's the problem - I love a super supreme pizza full of meats and veggies so naturally that's the kind of pizza I built for myself. I'd say I had 8-10 toppings total and the pizza was just not cooked long enough. The crust, sauce and mozz were all good but some of the veggies were basically raw and when I had my first slice, there was moisture dripping off the pizza from the veggies being undercooked. I'll definitely try them again and ask if they can cook it longer or see if they have any suggestions on avoiding the soggy pizza. read more

PIZZA! That would be enough, but add make your own with any amount of the 30+ toppings (that's way over 200 trillion trillion combinations) and you get BEST TASTE! Add a helpful staff that's literally running at times, while still smiling, and you get GREAT SERVICE! Add alternatives of salad instead of crust, gluten free crust, non-dairy cheese, very thin crust and so many vegetable and low fat meat options and you get HEALTHY! ...or a super Oreo Shake and you get .....OR NOT SO HEALTHY :-) but delicious. Add the 800 degree brick oven,with a watchful attendant, and you get FAST! ...and did I mention, Taste? My visiting nephew was almost ecstatic when he discovered that a new one is being built where he works, in The Dalles, Oregon. They're everywhere ..... for good reason! I think this one must have the BEST STAFF, but the rest probably run a close second. read more

This review was going to be a negative one because I waited too long for my pizza, two who came after me got theirs before me and when I got mine, it was cold. I don't usually complain, but I did feel that someone should know. WELL, not only did the new owner make me another pizza and a larger one mixed with sincere apologies, he also asked for my receipt so he could give me my money back! This place is amazing. Just tried it for the first time and their mega pizza filled my bf and I up for a great price. Their lemonades are also delicious. There is a sweet lady with short red hair who made our pizza specifically, but the overall staff and MGMT is great. Had a great experience, I suggest to try this place if you haven't already. read more

This place was absolutely AMAZING!!! The prices were very reasonable, the staff was patient, and the food was delicious! My wife got the Tristen and I got the Tyler. But, what's cool, is they do the toppings like Subway, so there's no extra cost for adding things to your pizza. You simply pay for the size of the pizza, not the toppings. I think that's a really cool business model. The atmosphere was pretty much what you'd expect. We sat down towards the back area and enjoyed our lunch with conversation. I also got a $2 beer which was a nice surprise!! I definitely recommend this place and we'll definitely go back again!! read more

If you eat pizza at the national chains and have never tried MOD, you're missing out. I've eaten here 5-6 times over the past couple months, and it hasn't failed to deliver. It's my new go-to pizza restaurant. The crust, sauce and toppings are all great, and the restaurant has a great vibe. The staff are all welcoming and helpful, even when they're slammed at the line. My daughter and I ate dinner here last night. It was amazing! Huge variety of topping choices! Gluten free crust (it's delicious for those of us who prefer gluten free), dairy free cheese also available. The best thing about this MOD pizza is the extremely friendly and helpful staff. We ran out of chips way before the dip was gone. We also ordered the cast iron skirt steak (yes lots of cast irons). I requested medium rare. It arrived medium well and slightly tough however. You'd think they could easily tell this since they slice it all up before serving. It was not seasoned, but presumably that is because it is intended to be used with the chimichurri sauce provided. No salt on the tables. Overall, the experience and the food were marginal and borderline acceptable, but definitely unremarkable. Service is another story however. She was nice, just not very good at her craft.

MOD Pizza in The Woodlands continues to be one of my favorite places to grab a quick, satisfying meal. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. It's still a great place for a build-your-own (BYO) pizza -- you can truly make it your own with endless topping combinations, all for about $11 per person. The quality and amount of ingredients you get for that price is unbeatable. I personally love starting with the Jasper pizza as my base and then customizing it depending on my mood that day. Whether I'm feeling bold and spicy or light and veggie-packed, I can always create the perfect pizza. The restaurant is always clean and well-maintained, which makes dining in a nice experience.
