The pizza & salad makers are kind of stingy When you ask for an ingredient, then ask for more & only get a pinch more. We were there during a slightly busy time & tables were dirty, we had to clean our table before we sat down. Garbage cans were overflowing, so difficult to clean up after yourself too. Mod is one of my favorite places to eat at, because they're local, their ingredients are always fresh and flavorful, their customer service is amazing, they're very cautious about cross contamination, and the environment is very welcoming and fun. I always order a BBQ chicken pizza, and it's always delicious! The manager, James is so nice and generous, and gave me my meal for free! It truly made my night, it was so nice of him to do that. I have to say this is a very different pizzeria. The atmosphere was very hip and young, but very friendly. As I walked up to the cashier she asked if me and my girlfriend have ever been there before. For the price that you pay and the unlimited toppings that you can choose from it is fantastic. Food is always good, it's pretty standardized and a good value. My beef is with the cleanliness. So much food and garbage on the floor. Every table has garbage on it. If they don't literally clean up their act they could easily get violations I would think. As I type this, under my table alone is a used fork, 3 dirty napkins, a half eaten pizza crust, countless crumbs and a discarded Dasani bottle. Eww. read more

The air conditioning was not working, the credit card machine was not working, no napkins outside, no garbage outside and no easy way to get back into the restaurant because the door was broken. I went to so many different places on Tuesday. Stores at the mall, a coffee shop, free standing stores and everyone was either rude or just fine. I'm used to just fine and I'm ok with it. But then I went to mod pizza to pick up dinner. When I got to the counter to order, I was greeted by sweet and animated Pestrice (hope I got that right!). I didn't have my order well put together bc it was my first time there. She was so helpful, kind and informative. I LOVED her energy. The pizza was great, Caesar salad, and "no name cake". Loved everything but more than anything, the friendly face behind the counter that made a complete stranger feel welcomed. Mod pizza was great and they're lucky to have this beauty! read more

I was greeted very nicely and enthusiastically by Naomi and she was full of energy! She was very attentive to putting exactly what I wanted on my pizza and made sure we were satisfied with our meals while we were eating. She also took our trash and dishes when we were done and threw them out for us which was really nice and she went above and beyond. This place is amazing! One of the best pizzas around! Cheaper than pizza hut. And way better too!!! The staff are amazing. Always friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make the customer happy. Look, it's a simple concept, good food, cheap beer. Nothing amazing, but frankly that doesn't matter. Mod Pizza works because it doesn't mess around with price, it provides a worthy value for that price, and it doesn't make me hate myself. Eight bucks for a personal-sized pizza and the freedom to experiment with toppings I usually wouldn't were I to share (anchovies are an amusing novelty but not something to add each visit). This review deserves less than 4 stars this was our 1st time eating at this location it was Halloween night we were the only customers. There were 5 people working behind the counter but somehow our order still took 30 minutes to be placed in the oven The guy who started our order accidentally dropped a marker in one of the pizza sauces and apparently that frustrated him so much that he walked away without even finishing our order The 2nd person who came out to make our pizzas informed us that we interrupted him while he was eating an ice cream and since he didn't get to finish his icecream he was going to be rude to me and my husband..but not my daughter (she was safe)..Our pizza order was finally in the oven Which made us happy but then somehow we still had to wait 15 minutes for somebody to take our money for the pizzas finally the manager or supervisor came up to help us pay for pizzas he noticed that we were there for almost 45 minutes he gave us half off on our order The pizzas are great the staff not so great. read more

THIS PLACE IS GREAT! And also, I'm an idiot. I drove to this area from Cincinnati to buy something from Craigslist (an RV! I'm excited!) and my husband and I wanted to get some pizza, so we thought we'd try this place out. I ordered online, and the first time option that came up was 8:40. I looked at the clock and it was 8:20, so that seemed perfect. We got there at 8:41, and I walked right over to the pickup place and was like "I'm here for my pizzas." They were kind of confused and looked around and were like "Oh, your order is for 8:40..." And that's when it hit me that the clock in my car was on Cincinnati time, and it was actually only 7:40 here. DUH. I was going to leave and come back, but they were SO NICE and said they would make my pizzas right then (even though the mistake was 100% my fault.) I waited for a little while, and I was eyeing their selection of interesting lemonades, but I figured I'd only be there for a little while, and plus I only had a credit card and thought it would be weird to order one drink on a card, so I didn't get one. THEN maybe 10 minutes later, the guy came back up to me and was SUPER apologetic and was like "I'm so sorry. I thought I put your order in right away but I guess it didn't get put in so they're just making your pizzas now. But they'll be ready really soon! And here's 3 coupons for a free pizza." Again - after a mistake that was entirely my fault. I was fine with all that (of course) and THEN he was like "Oh, and did you want a drink while you wait?" and gave me a cup! Great pizza! Dirty restaurant. After we placed our order we found that all of the 11 open tables were dirty. Food and crumbs were all over the floor and chairs as well. When I asked for a clean table someone came out of the back room, wiped off a table, pushed the contents from the table onto the floor, and returned to the back room ignoring all of the other dirty tables and chairs. Other customers who followed were tasked with wiping off their own tables with napkins. read more

The employee behind the counter was very helpful when she learned it was our first visit and explained their clever setup. Was with a friend deciding whether we should order the mini or mod sized pizza. Decided on the 2 separate minis so that we could each customize to our tastes and we were very glad we did.
