This is the cutest Lou Malnati's location! It's got a classic rustic vibe that reminded me of dining in an old university building. It felt like a throwback dinner experience eating here and I loved it. The staff was super kind and friendly and appropriately attentive. I hadn't had Lou's while dining in for awhile and it really is just a little better when you have it fresh instead of picking up to take it home. The cheese is a little gooier and it's so melty, hot and fresh!

Service was awful . One server no support no follow up. Brought cold meatballs Beef bites were hard as a rock flecks of beef with mostly minced green pepper . No flavor even after I dipped it . Asked for a thin crust pizza . Waited for ever mo offer of refill on drinks no water. . Ended up leaving . I love Lou's but today the service was awful then she comes and starts talking to the manager of her service . The n my an C at counter assuming managed supervisor comped it and was just smirking. I'm not looking for a free meal I'm looking for dinner with meatballs that are actually warm .

Delicious meal. We usually get the deep dish pizza but today we had salad and pasta. We shared the Malnati salad. ( The small is more than enough for 2 people). I had the Ala penne Malnati pasta and my mom had lasagna. The penne pasta is a large portion and I have leftovers. Our server was great too and attentive. Kelly was great!

Went with my sister long time ago here and it was good. June 30th 2026 they just remodeled the inside and added a nice outdoor patio. The pizza was soooo good. It was awesome. Plus with rewards and the Costco gift card deal two 50s for 80 bucks it was even awesome. Will def go back as soon as my arteries return to normal. Just kidding.

We came here for dinner with a few friends and had an amazing experience! We ordered a large deep dish with sausage alongside the Lou's salad. The pizza was incredibly delicious--maybe because it's been a while since my last slice, but that crispy butter crust and perfectly seasoned sausage hit the spot. The salad was fresh, and the signature Lou's dressing was so tasty. To top it all off, our server was fantastic and handled everything, even serving our individual slices so we didn't have to lift a finger!

Quintessential Chicago style pizza, and very good too. Ordered delivery, got the pizza in about 50 minutes. As a pizza, it's pretty good. Crust is thin and not doughy, had plenty of toppings and very good tomato sauce. As someone who grew up with apizza and New York slices, I do have a preference for the home pizza styles. but I recognize the appeal of this style of pie, and lou's is a very good pie at that. The Italian beef bites were also pretty good, the au jus really made it a great bite though. It's a great pie and if you need a Chicago style pizza to add to your foodie bucket list, then this is a gold standard.

My mother in laws favorite pizza spot! Delicious pizza and salad. Service was very good. Almost too good...they were asking us if we wanted to box up the salad before the pizza came... Ambiance is fine for a pizza spot, great booth.

Call it touristy (well I'm a tourist anyways) but I love Lou Malnati's buttercrust!! I came here every time I'm in town and it had never disappointed. My go to is The Malnati Chicago Classic with that delicious lean sausage, tomato sauce, and crispy buttercrust. I always get a small even when dining solo because the ratio of crust to interior is just so much better than the personal.

Lou Malnati's in Buffalo Grove is a local landmark present for the vast majority of my life, filled with memories and delicious nostalgia. On returning to my hometown, I caught up at this Lou's with two old friends. We ordered a large Chicago Classic ($32.45). It tasted as good as I remember. Thick gooey cheese atop rich Italian sausage with tomato sauce on top. Not as thick as Giordano's and other Deep Dish varieties - Lou doesn't overwhelm you with density, but packs a delectable bite bursting with savory flavor. Our server was attentive with a good sense of humor, showered us with refills on soft drinks and beer, while the interior was cozy, comfortably, and carelessly classic. Memorabilia and fine woodwork adorn the walls, as one might expect from a classic north-side landmark. Value, as always, is excellent for the amount of food; I had two slices and my bros three each, averaging to about $10/person, a steal for such great quality. Lou Malnatis is about as Chicago as you can be when it comes to deep dish, and this Northside location is as classic as you can get. If you're in the area, look no further! So first off, I think everything is made in house. That is already a huge feat in the world of factory made franchises. Second after polling 6 locals and giving them two options Lou Malnati's or some other place that starts with a G (I can't recall) well all 6 emphatically agreed we had to try Lou Malnati's so here we are! First off the ambiance hits exactly what they are aiming for so kudos there 5 stars. Everything is super old and somewhat dusty but all the tables are clean, 4 stars there. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive, 5 stars to... Kelly B I think it was. Katie B maybe? Sorry. Great job anyway. Food freshness gains 5 stars you could absolutely tell everything was fresh. Quality is hitting 4 stars I think. The crust was chewy and the Lou was in desperate need of salt. Of course I didn't realize this when the server initially asked if I would like salt or pepper but after that I realized there isn't any salt at the table. The basil is mixed in to the spinach along with garlic but these flavors seemed amiss. I asked for a side of pesto which this doesn't normally come with but our server knew how to serve so pesto I got and I am so glad I did. This is also obviously made from scratch and I loved adding it to the Lou. This brought out a fresher and stronger basil and garlic flavor. Over all taste as the dish is intended gains 3 stars. This brings the overall rating to 4 stars which is still very solid. Thank you Malnati's, keep up the great work. Your locals love you and we can see why.

Came here for the first time while on a business trip. It was highly recommended by some friends that are local and it did not disappoint. I loooovvvveee Chicago style deep dish pizza after being introduced to it by my sister who moved to Chicago many years ago. I had the pepperoni pizza and it was amazing! They also served us some pasta that has a great spicy pasta sauce which I just could not get enough of. The staff was really friendly and took excellent care of us. I am already looking forward to my next trip to have another slice!

Visiting my hometown isn't complete without a stop to Lou's to get some deep dish pizza! Even though it was happy hour ($5 personal deep dish, some appetizers, drinks) we had to go with a classic Lou to share between two. While waiting for the 'za to bake, we snacked on some calamari to which was juicy and good sized! The twist of lemon plus dipping sauce complemented the dish. Our server Ben was attentive and had great hospitality.

This is a family owned restaurant and from the second we walked in, it felt so warm and homey. My daughter had a bloody nose and the owner first thing asked if we needed an ice pack and was so kind. We weren't even aware she was the owner at the time. Later on in our meal she came by to check in to see how my daughter was doing as well as how the food and our dining experience was. Our waitress, who was one of the owners daughter was extremely attentive and warm. Throughout our meal she would check in to see how things were and if she could take away any of our plates. Service was phenomenal. Now onto the food. Started with the garlic bread and grilled octopus. Garlic bread had a nice crunch exterior and softness in the middle. It was buttery and garlicky and good. The grilled octopus was super tender and had a char to it. I personally prefer more of a char but it was still very good. The tomatoes were slightly blistered and again, for my tastes would have preferred a little more char but I would easily order it again. Pasta dishes came with a choice of lemon chicken chowder or minestrone. Both soups were pretty chunky and had good taste. The margarita pizza dough was nice a chewey with a slight char from the brick oven. It was a little wet for some reason but tasted good. The spaghetti with bolanese had good flavor and the sauce was quite hearty. Overall you could tell from all the dishes that they were made from scratch. Bontà really delivers on food and service. I can't wait to come in for lunch to try their sandwiches. Parking is plenty as they are located in a strip mall.

I ordered a glass of the Moscato and the gluten-free rigatoni, and it turned out to be one of the best plates of GF pasta I have ever had! I also really appreciated that they explicitly acknowledged my dish as gluten-free when it was set down at the table. Regarding the menu and bread service, items are not specifically marked as gluten-free on the menu, though a gluten-free pasta substitution is available. They didn't have or offer gluten-free bread for the table, and instead brought out regular bread. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for patio dining with incredible gluten-free pasta and attentive servers. Once I managed to find a door to the place, it turned out to be the back door and so I had to climb up a bunch of stairs in order to get to the front part of the restaurant to actually check in for the reservation. And yes, please make a reservation. This place does get packed even for early times. The service was really friendly and very nice however, I will say overall the food was OK but nothing really standoffish. For example, if you look at the pictures of the food quite bluntly it just looks like they slapped food onto a plate. There's really no thought that's been put into the presentation. There's really been no thought also to just the pure amounts of cheese and sauce that are also creating a swimming pool on the plate. We ordered the grilled octopus for appetizer and even that was swimming in olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette and too much of everything I think the food is OK but nothing fantastic. Considering the overly saturated Chicagoland market of Italian restaurants I wouldn't necessarily say this was at the top of my list.

First off, they charged $1.60 for the extra topping, which was pepperoni, and I think I counted maybe six pieces on the whole pizza. A little light for the upcharge. Walking in though, the place was clean, small, but efficient. They had pizza by the slice, fresh pies coming out of the oven, and a pretty big menu with lots of options. While waiting for my personal pizza, I looked over and saw a rotating display full of fresh slices -- sausage, specialty pizzas, etc. I ended up grabbing an Italian beef slice with sweet and hot peppers after another customer told me it was really good. Threw in an RC Cola and a side of ranch too. Total came out to around $16. Got back to work and started with the Italian beef slice. It was cold, which I won't knock too hard because who knows how long it had been sitting there. I was told it was spicy, but honestly not really. You could tell by the way the slice fell apart while eating it that it had probably been sitting for a bit. As for the personal pizza, it was cheesy, decent amount of pepperoni, and not overloaded with sauce, which I liked. But overall... it just lacked flavor. I can't fully put my finger on it, but it feels like it's missing something. Maybe seasoning? Salt? Not sure. That said, service was good, prices weren't terrible, and I do like the concept. Cheap, quick, fast lunch spot. I'd probably give it another try.

Their Chicken Vesuvio was decent along with the price of their food. The waitress we had was attentive and very apologetic for the "unwanted guest" we had at our table and at other tables as well. The unwanted guest.....were all the bees flying around the tables and food. We had at least 4 bees constantly flying around our table and there were many more at other tables. It got to a point that my wife and I didn't even finish our dinner and had it packed up so we could get out of there to avoid the bees. A table next to us did the same. Like I said, Nino's is an "okay" place for the food they serve and the prices they charge, but definitely not a place to go to, to eat outside, which is the only option they have as there is no indoor seating. Nino's, please spend a little time and money to do something about these "unwanted guest". Thanks.

We arrived prior to the reservation time and had to wait 15-20 minutes but we were ok with it as we were having a good conversation while waiting. After we were seated, the server promptly gave us waters and asked if we wanted anything to drink while waiting. We ordered a caprese flatbread and for my main dish I had the baked Parmesan shrimp scampi. The shrimp appetizer was a special but it was served to our table by mistake. The server just gave it to us. The caprese flatbread was delicious as usually. I really liked the balsamic glaze. I also feel the ingredients were evenly balanced. I didn't eat any of the shrimp appetizer so I cannot comment but it looked good. The main dish I had was so good that I was intending to save half, I ended up eating it all. The White Wine sauce was delicious and the shrimp was tender and not overcooked. Overall, we had a good time and ended up staying longer due to being with good company. The server was very nice and attentive. If it wasn't for the wait for our table, I would have given a 5 star review as everything else was good.
