SLOW, SLOW, SLOW!! Every time I go we wait 20-30 minutes in line minimum. Then another 5 for the register. Then another 10-15 as pizza is lost or burned. No one at the cash register. Person at the oven also looks after the register and burns pizzas or you end up waiting at the register. Cross contamination between veggies, cheese and meat. Staff is not trained in this area. Losing my patience and not sure I'll be back. Pizza is tasty however and employees are nice but I'm not sure I can take it anymore. My pizzas were burnt and lost multiple times. They need more people working. read more

I think this is the type of restaurant to go to with picky eaters. Every pizza is custom and flavor wise it is very ...safe. Nothing exciting here. The crust is OK, the toppings are OK, the flavor is OK. Since you are making the decisions of what goes into your pizza you know exactly what you are getting. If you want amazing flavor packed pizza go to Slice House in Downtown Walnut Creek. If you want something that picky little Billy or Suzy will eat so you can make sure your child gets fed and has a relaxed vibe where other children will be present, go here. Good place for a family dinner. The prices are very affordable for the size of a personal pizza that you get. A personal is more than enough for 1 person but slightly too small for two people. Not really the type of pizza I like but that is personal preference. My rating is just two stars from three (if this hadn't occured) because the first and only time I went my husbands pizza came out first, then mine didn't come out (even though I ordered before him) and when I asked about it after 10 minutes (about 20 minutes of waiting since ordering)...they said 5 more minutes...so I waited and then the pizza I got was not the one I ordered/watch them make. It turns out that my pizza got dropped or broke or something in the oven and then someone just guessed what was on my pizza and missed quite a bit of stuff that was on it and tried to play it off. They ended up offering me the incorrect pizza and had me re-do my order (they told me get to back in line behind new customers- about 5 of them- and wait....really!?) - they even offered a full refund for my order but I didn't think that was necessary. I just wished they had told me earlier rather than trying to hide it or not say anything and having me wait....and then wait in line again... read more

Went there for lunch today and our pizza and garlic sticks were made to perfection. The special needs young adult wanted Horizon Organic Low fat milk with his pizza. It wasn't until we sat down did I look at the date on top of his milk and it was dated "Oct 08 2018"....it's Nov 21 2018. I went back up to the cold case drink and spotted at least 7 other milk that was expired. I brought them up to the counter and said these are expired. I found a couple that weren't (dated Dec 24 2018). Once I made back to the table I saw the same worker check the case for expired chocolate milk and saw her bring back quite a few to the back. All I can say is it shouldn't take a customer to find expired drinks. Employees should be doing that. read more

What's not to love about this place? Delicious fresh ingredients, A friendly welcoming atmosphere, and not only is it quick.. it's so Affordable! I get something different every time I go there so I'll never get tired of pizza. It's great, I love the Italians! On a diet? That sucks. No pizza. Well lucky you they will make you the least boring salad you've ever had if you know.. you're into that. They have amazing seasonal ingredients, craft beer, and best of all, A gorgeous green haired mermaid lady that will bring it all to you. After years of pining over the best pizza I ever had only being found in my home town in OR (at a place I had worked in HS) my daughter recently introduced me to Mod's & I am now so happy! I thought I'd have to go back to OR to have the pizza of my dreams & now I get to have it locally! This is the best pizza idea I've ever seen! Especially for someone like me who likes to have LOTS of toppings! What an amazing concept! OMG I am so happy! (Did I say?) This place is a dream come true for pizza lovers who like variety & to be able to pick as many toppings & as much as you want for one low price! It all tastes amazing! You can even get more than one type of sauce & cheeses - I got red, white & a swirl of bbq - mozzarella & ricotta! & things like fresh basil & corn - so it's even better than my old favorite - which I never thought would happen! I can't give enough praise to Mods! You can also order online & check all the boxes you want & write in a comment (like extra something - or heavy on the...) My daughter likes to go in & said its like Subway where you can tell them directly as they make it "lots of that, more of that," etc. Mod's has made my pizza dreams come true! I think it's a great value as I can only eat one slice so I can get 4 meals out of one pizza. Easy to order online - can use your gift card too. When I went to pick up the pizzas my online order had not been processed for some reason. They gave me my entire order for free and a soda to boot while I waited. The pizza really is that good too! The topping choices are unreal! I walked in 15 mins before closing and they welcomed me and took the time to explain the way they do things. I need gluten free and they have it (typical $2 upcharge). The pizza is too big for one person (unless you're REALLY hungry), so there will be plenty for seconds. It compares in many ways to Pieology with a few topping differences. One noticeable thing here is that there is a tip jar near the register but Pieology doesn't allow one. In our family's opinion this is the best pizza around! They use fresh ingredients, great price, and they accommodate all sorts of diets. My son has a dairy allergy, and they have a non dairy cheese that they use, and they also changed their gloves when we told them about the allergy. Good food but definitely NOT FAST! Had to wait over 10 minutes to place order - only 7 people in front of us. Now the line is out the door and we are still on line. The salad was fresh and the Italian dressing very tasty. The pizza was well prepared. Servers added whatever toppings we wanted and as much as we wanted, although many of the veggie toppings needed to be replenished. Also had to ask for forks because there weren't any out. Overall, the food was worth 4 stars but the service and condition of the restaurant was 2 stars. This restaurant needs some new management. Took over 20 minutes from when we entered restaurant until we got our food. For a restaurant that uses words such as "fast" and "speedy" it didn't measure up. read more

We've been coming to this place since they opened, at least a couple times a week. Good pizza, good salads, great people. Sarah, Chris, and the rest of the staff are always very friendly and the service is great. You can get all the toppings you want, and I usually get almost all the veggies on my pizza. They have great lemonade, shakes, and other drinks. Basically everything I've tried here is good. The fantastic staff is what keeps bringing us back though. 2 strikes you're out. Crust was the type where they flatten it so the gluten does not have time to stretch and the texture is like the type of pizza that your high school used to make or frozen self rising pizza. The sausage was pitiful, the toppings were sparse, the pepperoni was awful. The arugula was sadly wilted and wizened. Sauce was one note and tasteless without a lot of spices. Cheese was not all that. They got our shake orders wrong. With Rocco's across the street and Whole Foods serving amazing pies, and Mountain Mikes down the street I am skeptical of how long they will be here. Just not a fan.
