Schilling Excelsior Imperial Apple Pie Cider

Comfortable casual atmosphere that feels just right for a get together during the busy holiday season. And attentive service at bar. I enjoyed some pizza, red wine and apple pie cider. Pinky's has happy hour pricing 3-6PM, Tuesday thru Friday. The Josh Cabernet Sauvignon was fruity and smooth. And the pizza was better than the prior pizza place I reviewed 8 days ago. The crust was crispier and tastier. Also, the guy next to me shared his Schilling Excelsior Imperial Apple Pie Cider and that has to be the best cider I have tasted. It's a must try!

Such a great place to bring friends and family to surround them with pizza, sports, and beer!! Not to mention they sell their ranch by the JAR. I definitely grabbed one on my way out!

Super friendly place. First time here for a quick bite and dranks. We ordered the Super Veg pizza with cauliflower crust. I'm trying to stick to my keto side of life. Yes, I know, I needed more meat (my partner says no). Excellent pizza. I would do the cauliflower again. We had some wine and beer and pizza and out. This place has been around since 1963 in 2 different locations and I think 2 different owners so it's a bit of an instistitution in Dub C. Great beer selection. Nice place and we will be back.

TL:DR Walnut Creek institution. Locals love the place Service: order when you enter and find a spot. Busy place on the weekend so do t be surprised if the place is packed Food - solid pizza with crispy crust. Not doughy like others. Awesome beer selection. Hess Hop cloud in cans!! Blood orange from Calif Squeeze on draft is epic. Make it a point to check out a local landmark and beloved spot for Dub C peeps.

We all have different pizza favorites; I have multiple, depending on my mood! Pinky's Pizza & Pub has been one of my favorites for a crispy, thin-crust pie forever. They also have wings, loaded tots, sandwiches, garlic bread, and salads. The folks who work there are awesome. They have many TVs and beers on tap and in a can, so it's a great spot to catch a game. In addition to the indoor seating, they have a great beer garden in the back of the restaurant. Happy hour is available from 3-6 PM M-F. As a bonus, they also have CREAM Concord ice cream sandwiches for dessert! This was an interesting sort of bar. You walk in and order the food up front with cashiers and staff working the front who are under 21 so they can't answer any questions about the drinks, but they are knowledgeable when it comes to the food. The pizza we had was good, but not great, while the beer was excellent and the bartender was helpful. I didn't try any of the other menu items so for now, I'm giving this business a 4 star review.

    Great, fun atmosphere!

What a great tasty experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the wings and pizza! The pizza crust was amazing. Perfect crispiness. And the wings...wow! Donna and Butch are quite the team! We make this a stop whenever we are here from Florida. Pinkys is quite the institution. My hub has been coming here since 1970!!

You can't order online. You have to call them. The prices are also not listed on their website. Large pizza and a salad was $65.

I love meeting friends here, but it's also one of the few places I genuinely enjoy going by myself because I always end up running into someone I know or meeting someone new while sitting at the big bar. The staff always makes me feel safe and welcome, too. They're always hosting fun events, it's a great place to watch sports, and I love that I can bring my dog along. I know some people are disappointed that Rotator is now required to be 21+ with the addition of wine, something many customers had been been asking for over the years. The owners are parents themselves, so I imagine this wasn't a decision they made lightly. Families with younger kids still have several great brewery options nearby. If you're looking for great beer, wine, friendly people, and a welcoming neighborhood hangout, it's hard to beat.

I never waited in the beverage line for more than a few minutes. Food was ordered at the bar and servers ran it out. Several TVs inside along the wall, a large projector screen on the east wall, and a 65" outside all displayed the game. The sound was good too. I had no difficulty hearing the match over the noise of the crowded venue. Water was supplied next to the bar and was self service. It was constantly kept full. I never saw it empty. When the bar served so much it ran out of glasses they already had plastic cups available. Overall, great spot full of great people. Well done.

My wife and I had just visited Abbey Tavern this past weekend, a premier Scottish pub in the City, and we expected a similar atmosphere. However, the moment we showed up, we were met with great disappointment. The Goose & Fern is honestly a terrible place to watch a sports match: there was only a single TV mounted in the back corner of the restaurant, the TV wasn't particularly large, and the speakers had been turned completely off. What a bust. Although the food was decent, especially the Shepherd's pie -- which came piping hot in a small cast iron skillet, the service was downright dreadful and almost non-existent. We never received waters (or were even asked if we wanted beverages), our table wasn't given enough silverware, we were never checked on during the meal, and we were waiting around for 30 minutes twiddling our thumbs before somebody from our party finally went up to try to pay for the check. In hindsight, a tip was not warranted for the lack of service. Overall, Yelp grossly misled me on The Goose & Fern. This is not a spot I would stop by again to watch a sporting match. If you're in this part of Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and head over to Dave and Busters down the street where they have a bunch of massive screens, tons of beer options, and service that will far surpass what you're getting here.

One of the things that happened when I visited this bar was I asked for a simple lemonade. The reason was because I had a soccer game the next day and I didn't want to drink alcohol and I wanted to get some electrolytes in me. It would have been very simple for the bartender to just say, "I'm sorry we don't serve lemonade." Instead what he did is say I worked here 20 years and he never served lemonade and then kept scoffing at me. He kept saying this three times, walking back and forth, up until the point the patron next to me even said, "Don't worry about him." After that without even me talking to him, he said, "Who orders lemonade at an Irish pub?" Then without me saying anything, he said, "No one orders lemonade at an Irish pub." I was honestly just trying to get a drink and he made me feel very dumb. Overall if a patron asks you for a drink, it's very easy just to say, "I'm sorry we can't do that," but he kept making me feel like an idiot. I was also surprised they did not serve lemonade; that's a very simple request. He didn't offer any alternatives except for 7-Up, which I didn't really want but paid for anyway. I ended up not drinking it even after I paid for it and leaving the bar. I guess the bartender got what he wanted. He gave me a drink that was other than lemonade; he made me pay for it and I just left the bar unhappy. I would highly recommend against visiting this establishment, especially with the grumpy bartender. He is an older white Irish guy. I understand they might have your own customers at the bar but I think it costs nothing to treat patrons with respect and not tell them that they're stupid for asking for a drink. Overall I would not recommend this place at all. Very enforced error. Sad!
