There is a good variety of ingredients including gluten free options, vegan options with tapioca based 'cheeze' and two different types of crust. They also have great options for natural drinks, instead of unhealthy fountain drinks. The staff is helpful and friendly. The location is clean, and the set up is casual, for a nice lunch out while shopping or fun dinner with the family. I am a frequent customer of this Mod Pizza and I enjoy it. But today I went and the customer service from one particular young lady was just not acceptable. I am allergic to many ingredients on the bar, so when I go I ask for the person to please not cross contaminate my pizza and put new gloves. I have never had a problem except for today. The lady gave me a nasty look and made my entire experience unpleasant. I wish Mod Pizza would understand that there are people who have allergies and if any ingredients mix it can be deadly. The best part of Mod pizza is that there are a lot of topping choices. I think the expectation is that you choose many different ones because they don't give you much of each. Overall, not bad tasting. A step up from a flatbread pizza, but not up to par with an artisan wood fired or a NY or Chicago deep dish. They do have a nice hot oven which helps. My friend still got a pizza but I passed. I only saw one person wearing their mask properly, everyone else only had their masks covering their mouths but not noses. We had heard from a friend of ours that Mod Pizza was awesome. We think so too. It's like a subway but for pizza. You can order one of their specialty pizzas and add whatever you want to it or you can build your own. I believe there were 4 choices of crust: Small 6 inch, Mod 11 inch, Mod 11 inch with thicker crust and a cauliflower crust. They have salads as well and work like the pizza. Order one of theirs and or add whatever you want. The staff were pleasant and helpful. My wife ordered a salad that she said was very good. I had a Mod Pizza 11inch with a bunch of good stuff on it. It hit a fire oven and was out within minutes. Crust was thin but not super thin and it was nice and soft but crunchy. Perfect for me. Super hot so be careful. Another poorly run Dale City eatery. The staff at this location are completely clueless about the product they are selling and are fairly incompetent at building the pizza once you tell them what's on the pizza!!! Worse, the place is dirty. The drink area has straws, lids, etc all over the place. Ice and liquid everywhere. The trash was all overflowing and every empty table was dirty. The manager who was at the end of the line pulling pizzas out of the oven, did not seem to car. I'm so excited this chain opened up here in PWC. We'd been going up to the location in Chantilly for awhile, so I was happy to see that manager moved to this location because he's awesome at his job. The service has been great every time, including the night I went in and there wasn't a seat available. The whole place has always been clean and everything stocked. MOD Pizza is a different experience than other make your own pizza experiences. There were soo many choices for toppings that I was a bit overwhelmed, however I was finally able to make a choice. The pizza is cooked in the open fire oven and didn't take long at all. Once your pizza is ready you can finish it with sauce! The fig sauce is amazing! Also I enjoyed the "pink drink" as my cousin called it, their house made flavored lemonade! Unlimited refills also make the this drink a fav!
