I don't typically write reviews as I like to support small businesses. However, i feel this review is necessary to help other potential consumers avoid going through the frustrations I just recently dealt with Modbargains. I found Modbargins through Yelp, and I wanted to give them an opportunity to work on my vehicle after reading all of the positive reviews. But from my own personal experience, the positive reviews the shop has received are not credible. On 2/16/25, I went directly on their website to schedule an appointment to get 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires to be mounted and balanced as well have a 4 wheel alignment to be completed for my 2018 BMW M3. The website required me to prepay for their services before bringing in the car, which I did. Upon my visit on 2/17/25 at 9 am with Ron Hay, the owner. Ron stated that they had no record of my appointment. I clearly showed Ron the email confirmation that I have received via email for the appointment for that date. He stated they were no longer using their online website to book appointments, and all appointments had to be done over the telephone. I commented that wasn't my problem, and they should mention that on their website to prevent people from wasting their time by booking an appointment, which they are not going to honor. To make the situation worse, Ron then told me that their system quoted me an incorrect price and that the installation cost would be more. Because of his incompetence with scheduling it caused me to change my schedule in my busy work day. After my wheels were mounted and balanced, which is not a difficult installation for most shops to handle. I quickly noticed one of my wheels was nicked and damaged from the mounting and balancing of the wheels. I immediately pointed the damage to Ron, and he stated that the damage was not from his machine or technician, and there was nothing he could do for me. Upon inspecting all four wheels and I noticed there were other damages that were not there upon dropping my car off at their shop. A total of 3 damaged wheels from his negligence at his shop. I immediately bought this to Ron's attention about this and he said he wanted me to email him pics of all of the damaged wheels to figure out what happened and would get back to me within 1-2 days. After 2 days, Ron left me a voicemail and stated he asked his employee if he was aware of any damages to the wheels. And his employee said no. Ron had the audacity to tell me that his employee is very honest, and clearly, his shop was not responsible for damages to my wheels was kinda insulting. At the end of the voicemail, he was willing to compensate me for a total of $40 to repair the wheels and gave me a list of places that he recommend me to take my car to for the repairs for the wheels. Although I appreciate the $40 offer, it's not even about the money. That was not even cover 1/3 of the repair per wheel. Attached are pics of the damaged wheels, screen shot of my appointment date, the email stating that he was willing to compensate me for the $40 and the refund screen shot of the $40 to my account. Stay away from this shop unless you want damages done to your vehicle!!! Ron Hay is a dishonest businessman. I will take my business to European Auto Source from now on, which is a more reputable and honest shop.

Ron is very knowledgeable and won't BS you to get the most out of your pocket. I had a lot of questions in regard to lowering my Tesla whether to run adjustable springs or air suspension. I decided to go with the springs first then graduate to air suspension when the time comes. After a couple hours, the install was complete. Ron and I took a spin around the area to make sure I was satisfied with the ride feel and I must say it was night and day. Comparing aftermarket springs to stock springs for a Tesla is totally different and I'm glad I made the change. The waiting room is clean and spacious with plenty of distractions for you while you wait for your vehicle to be serviced. Definitely a place I will be back for more modifications to be done. Ron just loves to talk about cars, so it's always a plus to talk to someone with the same passion.

Highly recommend ordering wheels here I spoke with Mr Ron he help me place my order for my wheels and always update me on time if issues arise and he find a way to make it work.

These guys are super professional and I'm very pleased with their work. I had some springs and wheel spacers installed on my wife's ride and Kevin made the whole process so easy. He responded quickly to my request, was able to find me some Dinan springs when the ones I ordered didn't come through, and quoted me the best price for install and alignment. What more can you ask for? If you want to save some time and money, give these guys a call.

10/10 for Ron and the team at Mod Auto/Mod Bargains! Needed some wiring done on my Armytrix Valvetronic exhaust system and Ron made sure I was take care of! This review is for both MODBargains and MODAuto. Afternoon searching the internet and referrals from friend for my 340 I went with MOD because of there very reasonable prices and quick and accessible customer service. Jay was the main point of contact. He set me up with everything I wanted (for now). He was very knowledgeable and quick to respond to all of my questions. Made the appointment and they delivered a great product with great service and on time! I waited in their their waiting room. (Phone chargers, coffee, tv...everything an expectant father needed j/k) They take great care of you. Got to meet the GM Alan as well. And watched him check on the cars while they were rung worked on. He obviously cares. Came here for one mod from LB. Had such great service and product I'm going to be back for more.

*Update* I worked with the team at Mod Bargain to resolve my issue. I returned a cold air intake and wasn't charged the restocking fee. I was only charged for shipping. I was refunded for the diffuser as well. It never arrived so I wasn't charged. Due to the previous order the folks at Mod Bargain made it right. I received an discount on my next order for body colored reflectors and free shipping. They came out nicely. See pics below. *Previous review* Found this shop from Bimmerpost. I did an order on the phone for a exhaust and diffuser. Representative confirmed all parts were in stock. I emphasized that I wanted all parts st the same time for installation. My confirmation email also confirmed this along with a UPS Link. I was charged and provided shipping information for all parts. Upon receipt I found out that the diffuser wasn't included. Over a 10 day period during this order I wasn't notified of any delays. I had to follow up for the diffuser. Now I have to order a diffuser and arrange for an install after already picking up the parts from the first UPS delivery.

If your looking for a reliable, dependable, trust worthy shop that will do you and your car right then you need to go to MOD BARGAINS! Make sure to ask for KEVIN the senior mod expert. He is the most experience and transparent person I've worked with when it comes to modifying my car. I have brought my car to other places such as SSR Performance but Mod Bargains truly sets the bar as far as quality of work and delivering on their word. If they know something isn't right during an install they will not hesitate to show and inform you right away about what's going on. If your going to pay for your car to get worked on, make sure it's worth every penny. Of course most people would want to get the best prices and the best deal but I personally wouldn't mind paying these guys extra just because I know I'm getting my money's worth and have peace of mind that the job was done right and on time. read more

I recently bought a set of 20" rims/tires for my 2015 BMW M3 through Kevin at Modbargains. Before I called Modbargains, I emailed 3 other vendors from the BMW internet forums. Despite all this great feedback on the forums and all the advertising, 2 out of 3 vendors never returned my emails. The 3rd one responded but when I asked follow up questions, they went completely silent. When a customer is ready to spend $6K to $9K+ on rims/tires, you would think the vendors would be interested, but I guess not. In any case, I reached out to Kevin at Modbargains and Kevin was the exact opposite. He was very responsive to my calls and emails. Kevin was also very knowledgeable about fitment and gave me great advice and reassured me when I had doubts about whether the size of rims/tires I ended up with would fit without rubbing. Kevin spent a good amount of time on the phone walking me through all the different options, finishes, colors, and gave excellent advice on what matched best for the flush, no fender rubbing, OEM+ look I was going for. He was also very responsive to follow up questions via email and would always write back the same day, usually within an hour or less. I ordered BC Forged MLE81 rims which had to be built to order. After I placed my order, he kept me updated on the progress and sent me pictures of the completed rims when finished and again when rims/tires were mounted and balanced and ready to be shipped out. Kevin's estimates were spot-on in terms of build time and once the rims/tires made it to Modbargains, he got the rims shipped to my house a good several days ahead of schedule. I really appreciate how Kevin never overpromises and consistently meets his commitments. He's straight up, honest, no BS, has excellent prices, great service, is responsive and very easy to deal with. Rims were shipped from California to Arizona and came very well packaged and in perfect condition. Tires were inflated properly, TPMS reset and matched to my car without issue and the tire weights were applied unobtrusively to the rim. The rims/tires are very well balanced and the car drives and rides great at all speeds! Excellent overall experience w/ Kevin and Modbargains and I would not hesitate to do business w/ them again. Amazing customer service! They installed a Ford Performance x Borla Cat Back. Watched the whole install and am honestly amazed at the quality of work and how efficient the tech was. Made it look like a total breeze but spent extra time making sure the exhaust tip was perfectly aligned which I really appreciated. Writing a 5 star based on customer service initial impressions. I have expensive, enthusiast cars and I am a bit obsessive when it comes to dialing in my cars perfectly. I always get every car PPF'd and I am the type of guy who will pay more to get things done meticulously and with patience. I needed a shop with a touchless mourning system as well as a shop who takes their time with suspension/ exhaust installs since my previous shop closed down. Modbargains is the 4th shop I contacted. The first three (with how I found with research might I add) are NOT car guys. They are fancy shops who have the attention to detail as a discount tire shop around every block. They have red flags with the statements they made and the tone at which they actually cared about customer acquisition. Kevin M the sales manager had the vibe I was looking for- a patient car enthusiast vibe. Responded quickly and even followed up with an email. Looking forward to taking my cars here. read more

I thought I'd update here, because I'm clearly not getting any feedback with Alan Wei through email. On January 7th 2019, not even a full year since my paint job at modbargains, my clear coat and paint rubbed off after using Goo Gone Automotive Spray Gel. This was extremely worrisome because my entire front bumper is wrapped in clear bra (except the emblem indentation, which is where the paint rubbed off) and removing the clear bra would most likely damage the rest of my paint. Alan initially agreed that the Goo Gone was safe to use on my vehicle, but then claimed it must have been the adhesive. After going to two different shops, both of them told me that there was no way adhesive should take off my paint like that, especially since it was less than a year old. Alan then stated it should be fine since I'm covering that area with another emblem regardless. The fact that this is how he decides to respond to a customer who had payed his business is ridiculous. Despite the horrendous service, I believe I had done my part as a customer by paying you in full, yet this is the effort I receive when something obviously went wrong on your end. Alan did let me know that if it really bothered me, my paint job was under warranty. However, that would mean I would have sacrificed the money I spent on the clear bra. I asked him for details regarding the warranty, as I would prefer to do it when the expected life of my clear bra comes to an end, or at least closer to it. Since then, it has been over two months since Alan has replied to me. I have sent three emails without reply, during this time, which is completely irresponsible as a business. I doubt that I will even want to go back to them to have it repainted, due to the terrible job they did the first time around. Additionally, he was very specific to mention that the warranty only covered the paint and clear, leaving me to assume that I would have to pay them for the wiring and labor that they charged me the first time around. The last thing I want to do is to support this business. On top of that, the clear bra is wasted on protecting a poorly executed paint job, and a new one is going to have to come out of my pocket. If you're looking to get some half-assed work and service, this is the place for you! read more

This review is a shout out to Jay from the ModBargains team. I recently flew into LA to pickup a new car. This shop was local and had a few parts I wanted in stock. Being that the dealership took longer than expected, I wasn't going to be able to stop in before closing to pick up the parts. Jay however was very accommodating and helped me out by request. The parts received were great, but was was even better was the flexibility and accommodating customer service! I will definitely be returning once I'm in the area. On a second occasion, Kevin was great at helping me select a set of new wheels. First time purchasing aftermarket wheels and Kevin went above and beyond at every step. Alan Wei will go ABOVE & BEYOND to satisfy your automotive desires. Alan has helped me mod & service both my Porsche Cayenne S Trannsyberia and E60 M5. Recently I bought a set of Forgestar F14 Deep Concave wheels for my E60 M5. Alan took the time to learn how and where I drive my car, and calculated offsets that wouldn't be too aggressive where my wheels are rubbing everywhere. Most shops will just order wheels with "cookie cutter" offsets, but Mod-Bargains takes the time to do it right. The service at Mod Bargains is superb; better than most five star restaurants. I have been a customers of Mod-Bargains since 2010 and they set the benchmark of what an automotive shop should be. read more

Great experience with ModBargains. Had H&R springs and spacers put on my Audi. The team was extremely thorough, in particular the gentleman who worked with me from the first call to installation, Kevin McDonnell. Pricing was super competitive, the waiting area was perfect for working and all folks there that I encountered were professional and courteous. Hard to find such great customer experiences in the car business arena. This team nails it. It's no wonder they've been in business for 15 years in such a saturated space. I bought a Chrysler 300 SRT-8 over the last weekend. I put on my aftermarket wheels and it was hitting on driveways. I brought it in to have the coilovers adjusted. This review is long over due, as I have already come back to them for other services. Finding a good install and maintenance shop is hard to find. I don't trust too many people touching or working on my cars. I decided to try ModBargains. As like most people who work, it's hard to find a shop that's open on a Saturday and open somewhat later, 5 pm. I called in and was greeted by Kevin. Kevin was super helpful, calm, and professional. He quoted me very reasonable prices on the work I needed performed. The mechanic I got was Juan. Juan is super detailed and organized. He took his time and made sure everything was done properly. If you're looking for a well manged auto shop that's open on the weekend, great prices, and professional, this is the place! Pros: -Reasonable Prices -Great knowledgeable and friendly staff -Open on Saturday until 5 pm (unlike other local competitors) Cons: -They get busy, book an appointment early read more

Went to MB again. This time Kevin (Sr. Modification Expert) helped me out with ordering a set of wheels I wanted. Not only did he get me the best possible deal, $200 off!, he really took the time to answer all my fitment questions. He was able to respond with technically sound answers in order to set the most aggressive fitment on my car (w205 C63 AMG) with no rubbing issues. I ordered some steering wheel trim from their website for 140.00. Two days later , they email me and say that the price is actually 200.00 and I am to pay the extra 60.00 or I will have to request a refund for the product. Well, I refunded the product and bought from a competitor, not the point. The point is the same item is now listed on their website for 180.00. This means that they tried to screw me out of 20.00 for no apparent reason. Also, if you list an item for a certain price on your website I'm not saying you are obligated to sell the item for that price (although it would be a good business practice to do so) but you have a person or persons devoted to keeping your website running and prices updated. Really not my problem as a buyer that you can't list items as the "correct" price. They claimed autoteknik communicated the wrong price to them, so I checked their website and they sell the same item for 180.00, modbargians magical new price ! So I'm no mathematician or anything but it seems like they were trying to pull some uncouth business practices I was happy to avoid. read more

I've been coming to ModBargains for years now. This is one of those cases where I've been so satisfied I forgot to write them a review. I've been dealing with Sean S, Mike and Ernie here at ModBargains. They're a great shop to deal with. I've watched them grow over the year from selling products to now installing the products they sell. I've had David and Juan work on my 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo as well. Most recently they installed four OEM rotors and brake pads, Stoptech SS lines and Motul RBF600 fluid. They were quick and efficient with their work. Throughout the years I've also had them mount countless sets of tires and swap TPMS sensors from one wheel to another. Their Hunter touchless machine is one reason I come back over and over again. Knowing the owners Mike and Ron invest in high quality equipment so they can have satisfied customer is one reason I will be a returning customer. One of the sales rep Sean here has been able to get me fantastic pricing on parts I needed. Customer service is phenomenal as well! Whatever you need from springs to air ride, Sean and the ModBargains team can handle it all. He's prompt with his calls and returns emails in a timely manner. I had lowering springs installed for my IS250 here. I watched the whole install. The tech was thorough and efficient. I got an estimate and set up the appointment with Sean. He was friendly and helpful. The waiting room was nice and comfortable. There is a great view of the garage to watch as your car is being worked on. Definitely the place to go for all your MOD needs. I dealt with Alan Wei, and what an awesome guy he is. Was patient with me and totally helpful. I was a real pain in the a** too! This review is long overdue and I thought I would give ModBargains/ModAuto a shout out for the jobs they have done on my car. Everyone here from the sales reps to the mechanics are very friendly and won't try to pressure you into anything you may not be interested in. They will also directly tell you if they don't do certain jobs rather than put in half ass work like some other shops. This shop is known for getting mods done on European and Japanese cars. They had a huge expansion the past few years and I believe they even offer alignment and dyno runs. You can purchase parts here but I recommend that you do your own research. I bought my VMR wheels and tires through them with balancing and mount, suspension done, got my xenon depo headlights and got them installed, got my brakes and rotors installed, oil change and a bought a few cosmetic parts. My sales reps were Alan and Frank, I recommend to send in emails for any questions or concerns. They charge fairly on labor and they also work pretty fast. Overall solid shop, they arrange car meets and always come out to big car shows. I highly prefer the staff here than the guys at EAS. read more

Don't be fooled. Be careful when dealing with Manager Alan Wei. Received low quality product and charged for premium price for a bad red/start stop button before receiving replacement unit almost 1 month later. Made the entire purchase from customer service to professional experience painful and unpleasant. Strongly advise against doing future business. UPDATE: You Alan Wei voided our agreement when you replied with a threat not giving me the time to take care of it. I would have simply removed it when I was available to do so and that would have been the end. How do you think I would take your threat after series of piss poor experience with you already? You offend my integrity and intelligence.The threat was not appreciated, especially with the long list of unfortunate dealings with you. The threat happened earlier today by Alan Wei to remove this post. I was flat out denied for a refund that was a rightful credit. I ended up writing the first review above shortly after. Somehow, he got hold that I had posted the review. He then tries to negotiate with me about taking this post down and he would refund me. What kind of practice is this? Had the refund taken place from the beginning, this whole thing could have been avoided. Ultimately, all I wanted was the refund so I agreed that once I can confirm the refund has been received, I would remove the post. (Paid for this product twice, first time the product quality was poor, all the support evidence is in emails to support this entire case). Prior to me even getting the chance to remove the post, cause I actually have a real job that required me to work during those hours, he sends a follow up email demanding and threatening to recharge the amount if I didn't take the post down. I was appalled. So very disappointed in his actions. He wouldn't respond to my emails timely, but when he wanted something done, he threatens. I am disgusted that he would stoop to this degree. You won't ever rip me off or do sneaky things to me ever again. Save yourself money, time and headaches, recommended to avoid. Do business with them at your own risk. I would advise finding another vendor/business that is capable of knowing what they are doing, how to treat their costumers and deliver their product. Plenty of opportunities to make it right throughout the early to mid stages to resolve the issue quickly and to make the experience easy, friendly and painless. Instead, things have escalated to this point. It has been a long drawn out process (27 emails, 8+ weeks later, and 2 credit card charges) of continuous disappointment and frustration. Should have done my homework on my end and thoroughly read through other bad reviews left by customers who experienced similar or even worse. This is consistent for a reason. If there was a choice below 1 star, I would select it. Such poor business ethics and practice. Better Business Bureau has been contacted and informed of this incident as well. read more

I purchased an exhaust for my M340i and installed it at Mod Auto. The installation felt rushed and inexperienced. The AWE exhaust has instructions on paper and YouTube from AWE. The tips weren't aligned and the logos were not centered. The right exhaust tips were too close to the bumper/ diffuser. I later started hearing rattles from the brace touching the exhaust under my car. I took my car back and the exhaust was readjusted. Again, the rattle came back. I emailed my sales rep and the shop multiple times and no response. I declined to drive to the shop since it's quite a drive. I adjusted the exhaust myself by adjusting it so it's not too close to the bumper/diffuser. I took it to a local mechanic shop and they were able to adjust the exhaust exactly how AWE explains it on their YouTube video. It sucks I had to take care of it myself and another shop's assistance to install it right. I do recommend you train or teach your techs how to install the exhausts that you sell. The info is out there. Don't make your customer go back to the shop multiple times to get things right or in my case, ignore my requests for help. This is for the response from the business. I did say I was ok with the installation at first look. But after driving my car for some time, I don't know what happens to the piping. It either expands or shrinks. I don't know. But after the adjustments, it still rattled underneath. Your shop is quite a drive from where I live. I felt no longer going because your tech said he's done all he could. And I appreciate the guy that worked on my car. You coming at me telling me this is a false review tells you don't know how to take criticism when things are not done at customer's expectations from a business looking for professional help. I had to take my car to a muffler shop and found the issue right away. The piping by the chassis brace was angled incorrectly. I found this out through AWE's YouTube page. Your sales rep did email me after week or so telling me what happened. That guy was cool too. Sorry he got sick. But the fact I had to pay more money out of my pocket to make sure an exhaust was installed correctly is the main reason for this review. By training your techs in how to do these exhaust installs would've saved me multiple times going to the shop for a little tweak of the exhaust just to hear other noises elsewhere. The exhaust tips are another story. I've already discussed it with AWE. read more

A friend recommended this shop to me when I wanted to change up the suspension on my BMW 1-Series. I had pretty extensive emails & chats back & forth with Alan and Kevin. I set up my appointment and when you go in your name is on a board welcoming you for your appointment. Coffee machine, water, WiFi, tv- the waiting area is great. The shop itself is clean and organized- very professional. I had some issues after fitment and after a month realized the change I made wasn't for me and all the guys were really helpful in helping me get back to a more OEM feel. I had originally gone in for just suspension, but I happened to get in a conversation with Gus R. about tires. This guy went to the actual Michelin factory to learn all about tires, and he is so knowledgeable about cars in general. A few days before my original install I decided to get tires, based on great conversation with Gus. I had never even had tires in mind. To this day, that tire choice has been a great decision. Gus also did my OEM re-install and my alignment, which by the way they use a Hawkeye, and Gus went to great lengths explaining the system, explaining what adjustments were doing what- I mean the guy knows his stuff! I highly recommend this shop and the team and especially Gus. When someone goes the extra mile to talk to you about YOUR car specifically and they are a "car guy", well that makes it or breaks it for me. read more

Serious pros at work in this Garage. I came by to get a new set of VMR V710, staggered, and H&R Sport Springs. Appointment was a 1500 and I got there on the dot. I was told by Alan that one of the techs was out sick and only had David D. doing the installation. I was told that it may take more than the previous time that was set up. He let me know up front that if they run out of time, I might have to come back to finish the job. Job was started right away as soon as I walked through the door. Alan was like "Hey welcome! Let's get your car going." I was kind of surprised how fast he got me set up. I suppose since he was already expecting me, he already had the parts, wheels and tires all ready to go. David got on it right away without wasting any second. I really appreciated that because I like to get things done right away as soon as everything is ready to go. He started with the springs. He basically went so fast he could've done them with his eyes closed! I was so impressed! Then again, he's probably done that type of swap a bajillion times a day so it was cakewalk for him. Next were the wheels, and he was already pushing time just before they closed, so as soon as he was done with the springs, on to the wheels. He was meticulous, detailed, and didn't skip a beat. I swear if someone actually walked up to bother him or talk to him, he'd probably kick their ass lol! Dude was very focused, once again, I was very impressed. He worked EXACTLY how I would do it, if I was to do it myself (very eerie similarities). Needless to say, I didn't have to come back to have them finish the job. He did everything within the said time frame and he did his best without rushing it or compromising any installation details. Overall, this was my first time buying, speaking and getting expert advice (thanks Sean Singh) and having the installation done all in one swoop. I was completely and very much impressed with the whole process and experience. Ron (the owner) should be very proud he's got a very professional, expert, friendly, easy going crew. Absolute professionals!!! These guys did an incredible job from parts fulfillment to installation. They knew my BMW 435i inside out. The shop caters to car enthusiasts. They have the cleanest garage and a stocked waiting room with a full view of the garage. Kevin walked me through the order fulfillment and had his recommendations. Allan and Dave were on site to answer all my questions during the install. Juan was a great tech who took care of the entire install of exhaust, wheels, and coil overs. Anything that wasn't covered in the initial build spec, they made very transparent. They're not the cheapest, but they're top quality and experts in European and luxury cars. read more

Let me start of by telling you that I do not like to post 1 star reviews but in this case ModBargains earned every bit of this. They had multiple chances to made things right and failed. I spent somewhere in the $4k range for rims, tires, exhaust and brake covers. The rims and tires were purchased in late November 2017. We were quoted a 6-8 week turnaround as they claimed these were made custom to order. Ok no problem I understand. So about 10 weeks into it were were told they were on "back order" hmmm, thought that didn't apply to custom orders. So 12 weeks, then 14 weeks same story. So I got involved and reached out to the sales person and "Manager". We were then told the rims didn't meet QA standards at the factory and were being made again. So now we are double the low end estimation. Now we get to 15 weeks and I lost my patience and contacted the owner. So I am now told the rims are ready for pickup from the manufacturer, BUT, ModBargains policy is they only go to the manufacturer when they can grab multiple orders because they don't have a designated driver. HUH? Say what? Is the manufacturer in Texas or New York? No, no, no, they are 15 min away in Anaheim!!! I thought they were joking but apparently not. So I asked them if they were serious and the salesman trying to make me feel bad said he would go on his lunch break....poor baby. Ok it's finally over??? Keep reading, they pick them up and don't have an install date for another week!! You can't make this stuff up. Wheels are on, they look nice, staff was cold as ice when my daughter arrived for install. Opportunity to avoid a 1 Star in the future? 1. Be honest of what the hold up of an order is. 2. Make it right by getting the rims the second they were ready. 3. Make it right by scheduling install right away, you know bend over a little to make it right. We found another shop to do another $3500 in work, will never recommend or use these guys again. They need some major customer service training. read more

Pros: Great customer service. The chat feature works great. Knowledgeable staff. Cons: The order was almost complete and I was told they didn't have it in stock. So I couldn't get the item I wanted after they had told me they had it. They had a 30% off but it's a bit of a bait and switch.. it's 30% off MSRP which no one sells at that price, so it's 30% the marked up price. Had to pay tax in CA, not really their fault, but still. But the worst thing, I made sure I ordered parts in stock because I needed the parts because my car is stuck at the shop waiting for the parts. They told me the parts would ship the same day or the next day but they are sitting on the order for 48 to 72 hours for parts sitting in their warehouse!! This is inexcusable for an auto parts supplier. They should call Tiresdirect.com and ask them how they do it. I will be looking to buy elsewhere next time. read more

1st Class Outfit! I came to ModBargains because they happened to have an accessory for my M2 that I wanted, and they were reasonably close to where I live. I wasn't planning to have them do any work on my car. Took the mod to another shop, where exhaust work was already scheduled, and asked them to install this device. Well... the 2nd BMW shop, who shall remain nameless, didn't bother to view a video I sent them, explaining how to install the device purchased from ModBargains, in spite of the fact I emailed him a link, and asked him twice if he or his tech had viewed the two minute video, showing how to install the device! Needless to say, shop "Nameless" screwed up the installation! Back to ModBargains I went, the following day, who worked to fix the 2nd shops error. They were diligent, and very fair! Their shop is clean and techs seem very knowledgeable! I had also asked shop "nameless" to see if they could remove an OBD device that I wasn't able to remove... it had become stuck, and no amount of prying seemed to loosen it! "Nameless" didn't even bother trying to remove it, while ModBargains got it out for me! Great shop! Thanks, Kevin, for all of your help! read more

I have a 2012 camaro, I wanted a set of gloss black, light weight wheels going as wide as possible and still being tucked enough to lower the car. I delt with Sean, who was amazing. I knew nothing about offsets and widths, Sean and I exchanged over 50 emails getting everything worked out on every width and offset combos for the build his customer service was 2nd to none and I highly recommend them. Went to Automod to have a rear diffuser and stainless steel pedals installed on my BMW 430i. Kevin was extremely helpful from the moment I scheduled an appointment. During the install, Gus was very professional. I watched as he installed the parts and I couldn't ask for better treatment of my brand new 430i. The shop is immaculate and the waiting room is spotless, something not expected in a shop where cars are worked on. Kevin gave me an ETA for completion and the job was completed right on time as promised, hassle free. Can't ask for a more professional, and courteous experience. After discovering CV Axle threw grease all over, I went on an emergency mode to fix the problem…read more Did not find any tear in the boot, but noticed I could slide it slight when pushed on the inner clamp where the tripod joint connects. Seemed easy enough to find a new clamp to tighten things up after sliding boot open to put new grease in and sliding back on. But the darn clamp search pretty much took all day! Going to 2 nearest Toyota dealers and they didn't have the clamps in stock! It's an old Lexus ES350, but basically Camry V6 parts fit so I usually shop Toyota dealers for maintenance parts:) No choice but to go aftermarket, but can't be trying to find order online when the car is up and I am dirty and need to get the thing fixed this day! Checked O'reily's but didn't find any usable clamp big enough. OE part was 102.5 mm so just over 4 inch diameter. Dropped by Auto Zone and nothing. Was about to give up, but decided to check out Napa online and found a clamp that one reviewer said worked for his Corolla large inner clamp. Voila, found it in stock here at the Brea location and headed right over. This looked like a no frills stores maybe supplying repair shops. No flashy fancy interior, just most of the parts stocked in the back side shelves. A nice older gentleman at the side counter checked the part I was trying to find and said he has to find it in the back shelves. He searched through the library like place and came back with a box of them! They looked big enough but would be best to check the closed size. Luckily he had a ruler on hand and measured max could be up to 4.25" perfect!!! Such a simple part, but so difficult to find in the typical auto parts stores, or even the dealerships! Now I know there's a serious auto parts store nearby in Brea with experienced folks to help me find some serious parts! Just in case you are looking for such a large CV boot clamp, attached is the part to get from Napa:) It's been a week and I just checked the clamp and my eyes are not the best but from the side of car with wheel turned, it looks dry. However, I think the axle shaft/small side may not be oozing a bit of grease. Will have to lift and get closer for my eyes to verify, but if it is oozing slightly there, I know Napa has the smaller clamp as well! (I know the small clamp side could slide and spin when I was under there last week, but assumed maybe it's good enough for the shaft side that doesn't have bunch of grease flinging around like the larger clamp side. Guess I can take my time to check out and reclamp the smaller side, the main problem was fixed last week)

They advised me that I was able to get one replacement but most likely I had blown fuse or electrical was bad. Check the fuses and electrical and they all working condition. The light bulbs sold at oreily are cheaply manufactured and only last 3 months. I switched over to LED and haven't had any problems.

I actually had to go back and ask when I should come in next. I was then told to return in 7,000 miles, which seemed different from the 3,000-mile reminders I'm used to seeing. It would have been helpful to receive a sticker or written reminder so I wouldn't have to ask or try to remember on my own. Overall, I appreciate the great customer service, but adding a service reminder sticker would make the experience even better.

It…read morestarted during the negotiating process when I told the salesperson I recently visited Tijuana. He asked me if it was to visit "Hong Kong" which for those that don't know is a BROTHEL. This was extremely inappropriate and I probably should have walked away at this time but hindsight is 20/20. When discussing price, the sales person had me sign a piece of paper saying, "you'll buy the truck if I can get your payment to be $950 a month" I agreed and signed. He stated, "if I do this for you, you need to leave good reviews on every review platform and tell everyone to come here" which I also agreed to do. While sitting alone in the office waiting forever for the sales person to return, I had to listen to other sales people walk past the open door talking loudly about how much they were selling and how big their commission was going to be that month. When the sales person returned, he told me he couldn't sell me the vehicle for the price he had me sign a piece of paper for. When I spoke with the "sales manager" he started trying to talk me into leasing the vehicle and was extremely condescending. They also lied to me about the end date of the employee pricing promo that is still going on. After completing the purchase, I asked about several huge scratches in the door and was assured they would be taken care of. The sales person instructed me to go find their service department and talk to them and that they would get me sorted. When I talked to them, they said they'd call me. I waited a week and finally got a call Friday. They asked me to bring the truck in that day. I asked if they were going to do the repair that day and they said no. I asked why they needed the vehicle that day and they said so they can drop it off at the body shop. I asked if the body shop was open weekends and they said no, so my brand new truck that I just overpaid for was going to sit there over the weekend with nothing happening. I asked them to find out when the work would be done and call me back and I would bring the truck in because I need it for work. I had a previous bad experience with the exact same thing where Ken Grody kept my truck for almost a month because they damaged my door when they were changing the oil. So I waited over 3 weeks for a call back and nothing happened. I contacted the original sales person who sold me the truck and he assured me he would take care of it. 3 more days went by of me telling him they hadn't contacted me and I was still waiting. He told me, "sorry I'm busy, call Ken Grody customs" Ken Grody customs finally calls me the following Monday and is acting like we're speaking for the first time. No knowledge of the previous conversation I had with them about making sure the truck isn't going to sit around with nothing happening. At this point, I'm over it and my expectations are so low that I'm just going to hand the truck off and let them keep it as long as they want because I'm tired of the bad service and having to make a million phone calls. I will update this review after the truck comes out of the body shop. I was on the fence about buying a truck here, it was between here and driving all the way to Bakersfield and going to Jim Burke Ford and I really wish I would have just driven to Bakersfield.

Whoo... So where do I begin this nightmare? I purchased wheels from ModBargains who is a distributor for MRR Wheels. I wanted something different as these wheels only came in silver. There were quite a few wheels I was looking at but after speaking to Jason at ModBargains we narrowed it down to one wheel that he said he could have powder coated for me. I ordered these on 7/19/11 and was told only a week or a couple of days more to powder coat and the wheels would be sent. A week later they weren't done and I called Jason to find out what the hold up was, only to be greeted by a very attitude driven Jason who advised me that if I wanted this right now they would not be quality and I needed to wait. Now, I get that I have to wait, but I was just trying to get an ETA as my car was on a lift in the shop awaiting the wheels. Fast forward to 8/1/11 where I get the email Your order 1311081**** has been shipped. Cool! My wheels come in and well, they weren't perfect. Several of them had pain runs on them and well I had to get them on my truck as I was now paying for rental car fees etc... We get the wheels on, and at first all was good... (truck was still being driven) =) I then hop in and take it down the road and there is a little shake. I called my insurance company and they thought it could be the tire. So they replaced the tire. Still had shake from one wheel. I get the wheel off and they said two of the wheels are bent but only one that would really be causing the shake. Now the fun begins... trying to have a replacement wheel sent. I argued and fought with modbargains to have this resolved. The only person there nice enough and professional enough to help me was Lori. I am not sure of her position but she IS the only asset to that company! Jason called me a liar and had other words for me AFTER the sale... He would not even deal with it. Sorry to hear about the problem you're having with the wheels. Contact Carlos at MRR to get this resolved in the quickest way possible.Phone number is 3238878600 So, of course he wants your money but after that no customer service. So... Lori takes charge and MRR promises her a wheel but low and behold it never happened. Simply Temp. controlled garage here in Florida where you can put your boat, truck, car, etc away from the elements. Two weeks ago, I get back to my truck in find that one of my tires is flat. Damn, I must have run over a nail or something... Wrong... I fill my tire with air (as my SUV comes with an air pump) right there. I can hear a hissing noise. Being in an enclosed storage facility it's echo'ing and hard to find. I spray the wheel on the face and valve stem to find no leaks. I sat there for 45 minutes making sure the tire would hold air which it did, and drove it to the place where I get my tires/wheels done. They also do wheel straigtening and rim repair. Soon as he pulls t off, he can see immediately what had happened. There are three cracks in the wheel in 3 diff places. No damage, no scuffs, etc.. and I know this because I never hit any pot holes or what not. All starting at the back of the wheel working their way as much as 3.45 inches into the wheel!!! The structural integrity of the wheel either was compromised by the sub-par powder coating job OR just garbage wheels! The gentleman at the shop repaired the wheel and I just paid the price and went on. The dealings with MRR and Mod were just too poor for me to worry about and I needed my vehicle. I just want to say to the general public, I've never posted an online review for anything I've ever purchased online. However, in this case I feel compelled to tell the public of my experience dealing with Kevin McDonnell at ModBargains. My first experience dealing with Kevin was six years ago. At that time I had a 2002 E46 BMW M3 convertible. I had shopped and shopped for months trying to decide the perfect rim for my car. I settled on a set of Sapphire Blue ForgeStar F14's. I had no knowledge of what offsets that I needed, I know that I didn't want spacers but I did want a direct fit. I contacted Kevin McDonnell at ModBargain and he was very knowledgeable on what offsets I needed. I flooded him with a ton of questions. He was patient, very professional, and courteous. He was extremely knowledgeable in offsets. He took the time to answer all of my questions and educate me on what correct offsets I needed to get the look that I was going after. I was nervous when giving the okay to have my rims custom made to the offsets that were given to me by Kevin McDonnell. I trusted him and went ahead and placed the order. I received the rims within the time he recommended. I installed the rims and the fitment was spot on! I was very pleased. Six years later, I sold my 2002 E46 BMW M3 convertible. I then purchased a 2015 Jaguar F-type convertible. I wanted to customize the car to make it mine. The first thing on my list was to replace the OEM rims with a set of really nice after market rims. I shopped for months trying to decide the perfect rim for my car. I settled on BC Forge EH181 in Royal Gold. I got online to inquire about purchasing the rims and what offsets were needed. I was contacted by Kevin McDonnell who responded to my inquiry. To my surprise he remembered me from my purchase of the Forgestar F14's six years earlier. That totally blew me away! How could someone specifically remember me out of hundreds of customers over a six year period? This is beyond comprehension. Once again, Kevin McDonnell was patient, very professional, and courteous. I was on the fence but he did not pressure me to make the sale, but was patient in letting me decide. He once again took the time to educate me on the correct offsets I needed for my vehicle. This time I wanted a little bit more poke and he was able to make the correct recommendations for offsets. This whole process went on for weeks with me making phone calls and sending tons of emails back and forth. Kevin quickly responded to phone calls and emails. It was such a pleasure working with him. He kept me updated during the manufacturing process of my rims and sent photos. I received my rims two weeks quicker than was estimated. I put them on the car immediately and I was once again completely blown away! The fitment is spot on! I totally recommend this guy. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I purchased an AWE exhaust for my m340i here, and they initially claimed it would take 4-5 days to arrive, followed by a call for the installation appointment. After a week of waiting without any communication, I had to call them myself. They informed me the exhaust had arrived, but due to being fully booked, they couldn't schedule the installation or provide a date. After waiting for 2 weeks with no follow-up, I called again, and they still couldn't confirm an installation date, promising to call me back. Eventually, after 3 weeks of waiting, I secured an appointment. However, the issues persisted. Two weeks after the installation, I noticed a rattling noise from the exhaust. When I contacted them, they explained they were fully booked until after Christmas, over a month away. I said okay I can wait, i want to wait for them to check up because I have already paid over $300 for installation and they have to responsible for their work. I don't want to pay out of pocket for another shop to check up. On the scheduled appointment day, after driving 30 minutes to get there, they informed me that their technician was unavailable due to a car accident. Frustrated, I expressed my disappointment, having waited for over a month, and they suggested I go to a local exhaust shop for a check-up. I was angered by the lack of communication and their inability to respect my time. It's frustrating that they have strict policies about cancellations and no-shows, yet they didn't extend the same courtesy to you. Absolutely, the discrepancy between receiving an appointment reminder at 4AM and then being told no one was available upon arrival at 8AM underscores a severe lapse in communication and organizational oversight. The lack of follow-up and responsibility for addressing the issues you faced, including not receiving a call back to check up or reschedule the appointment, is certainly disappointing After reading similar reviews on Yelp, it became apparent that I wasn't the only one facing issues with their installations. Hi, Great continuous customer service I would say, since my first purchase via Jurrian@ModBargains, bought my Forgestar wheels and Greddy's Rocket Bunny V2 for my Toyota GT86, to my Perrin Catback Exhaust + Borla, and just recently Vortech Supercharger Kit. Jurrian attends to my enqueries, refers to parties who can assist with my enquiries. He has wide networking with well known dealers. On top of that, Jurrian assists to my intention of purchases less as a typical salesman but more as customer himself. Which is in my case, balance between reliability and cost (inclusive of good deals and choices on shipping costs as I am on the other side of the globe ). I don't really look for global scale uniqueness of mods on my Toyota GT86, comfortable enough to install mods that has been proven working by others with known issues and solutions or workarounds. Jurrian gladly assists me on my choices of mods. My previous three large purchases were about 6 months in between. Discussion on what I was actually going to get kept changing in these three 6 months period but still does not hesitate to make my choices solid. Overall I am most happy with Jurrian in specific and ModBargains overall. 5 days to get my wheels+RBV2 kit and recently 3 days to get my Vortech Supercharger kit from one side of the world to another. I was looking to order VMR wheels for my 335i and every place that I called did not have the wheels in stock in the size I wanted. I finally found modbargains and gave them a call. While they were on back order here too, they were able to get me the wheels weeks before any other seller, including VMR themselves. While I had a few issues with the shipping of my tires, I reached out to Alan to express some of my frustrations. He immediately assured me that he would do everything he could to make up for the error, and even refunded me for mounting and balancing that I had done here in Rhode Island. What I thought was going to be a bad experience got fixed immediately by Alan and the rest of the modbargains team who directed me to exactly who I needed to speak to, I even received the email of the owner in case I had any further concerns. Between the price match for the wheels and tires and the refund for mounting and balancing, I could not have gotten a better deal anywhere else, and the wheels look awesome on my car. I have bought a lot of parts from ModBargains and have gotten nothing but good products. I solely deal with Senior Modification Expert Kevin. Over the past 4 months I had ordered a set of wheels custom made. I received them around a week ago and the manufacturer (not ModBargains) ended up sending me the wrong powder coat finish. Kevin has been nothing but great with assisting me over the past months with previous parts. Now with this going on Kevin has proven to me what it means to want to help as much as possible. I had seen Jurrian's name ALL OVER the Fiesta ST Forum, so I had to contact him when I ran into a problem with my FiST, and that my Stop Tech Big Brake kit would NOT WORK with the stock wheels. Jurrian suggested your H&K spacers, and I ordered a set of both 10 and 20mm spacers. With the aftermarket mounted snows, the 10mm would work in front, and with my aftermarket Focal 7 wheels, I could even use a 5mm! Unfortunately, the FiST is GONE--traded in for a Taurus SHO--my dear wife HATED the FiST (as, unbeknownst to ME, the entire family!) so the "return to teen age years" have been shoved into the closet until some future time! Decided to upgrade my '06 325i Sport. There are a lot of companies out there selling these types of products. I've made the mistake with some of the others, and you won't know who they are until you give them your credit card or try to get some help. For the front and rear M-Tech bumpers I called ModBargains and talked to Alan Wei. Great guidance, patience, took the time to discuss what I was looking for, made sure I was ordering the correct parts and options, and stepped me through the purchase over the phone. Stayed in touch throughout the entire purchase and shipping process. Everything fit up great. Can't think of anything that had to be modified to make it bolt right on the car. A quick once over with Scotch Brite and the paint went down smooth on both front and back. I probably could have purchased everything I needed from Alan and ModBargains if I had started there first. I'm not a big "reviewer" and rarely take the time, but in this case I've got to give kudos to Alan Wei at Modbargains for quickly resolving an issue with my recently purchased Eibach spring kit. Upon opening the box, drop shipped from Eibach I'm sure, I found 1 of the 4 springs missing! Alan quickly contacted Eibach and they promptly shipped me the spring at no charge. I appreciate that both Alan and Eibach took me at my word about the missing spring. I've learned, after working on cars for 53 years, that anybody should be able to fill your order when all goes as planned, but only truly professional companies quickly step up when a problem arises. My hat is off to both Modbargains and Eibach. Not sure why my experience went this way, but Alan refused to give me refunds as soon as I asked for them. I am in the military and experienced difficulty with setting up appointments since there is a 1 week in advanced requirement they have. I then called them multiple times to express this concern, to which for 1 week I received no reply back. I had to wait another weekend to finally get a hold of Alan, to which he even kept a condescending tone with me and acted like I was in the wrong for getting a refund with them. This has messed up the way I'm working with my bills and credit card and simply was too much of a hassle. A simple "oops I'm sorry" on the phone won't do it for me when I've been asking for a refund for 1.5 weeks. I never normally review on yelp but I hope none of you have the same experience as I did. ModBargains is a top-notch auto shop with a true passion for cars. During my recent visit, I was impressed by their extremely stellar service and attention to detail. It's clear that they specialize in high-end cars and go above and beyond to cater to their clients' needs. However, regardless of their super car clientelle, they really took the time and care to do things right on my Corvette C4 as if it was a brand new C8. Really appreciated that! Another thing that stood out to me was their in-ground Hunter Hawk Eye Elite for alignments, which accommodated my lowered Corvette C4 perfectly. Fyi, the alignment cost $165. They're also known for their expertise in aftermarket modifications, making them a one-stop-shop for all car enthusiasts. Will definitely come back. Enjoy! read more

I've owned many BMW's, but this is the first time that I've purchase any mods. I contacted Sr. Mod expert Alan Wei who was extremely helpful. He pointed me in the right direction and helped me pick out a few upgrades. I ended up getting rid of the stock chrome grills for some dual slat gloss black grills for my 640 gran coupe. Unfortunately the dealership I purchased the car from drilled front plates on. Alan suggested some bumper plugs to cover up those unsightly holes. The outcome was amazing on both of these mods! Fast communication over email and chat. I also received updates via email w/ tracking and status quickly. I'm now thinking of getting some new wheels and tires and I know where I'll be coming back for my next round of mods! read more

I bought a nice set of wheels & tires from Modbargains. I had them installed a couple of weeks ago. My appointment was on a Saturday,which really made it nice because it would've been hard for me to do during the week. Everyone at Mobargains/Mod Auto was very helpful throughout my entire dealings with them.Sean, helped me out selecting my wheel & tire package.I got to speak with Ron,the owner, for awhile about what else cars!.Juan, my assigned Tech was great too he made sure my old wheels and tires were all wrapped up in plastic so as not to dirty my car interior. ModBargains went through great lengths to get me exactly what I needed and in incredible time! Right from the start, Sean was helpful and very personable. I had a cracked rim resulting from a pothole (boo!) that needed immediate replacing. I only knew the diameter and width; the offsets were unknown. Sean was able to take the info I had and ask the right people the right questions to identify my specs. This was the defining reason why I chose ModBargains. All others were betting on assumptions. Taking a gamble and finding out one wheel being offset incorrectly would be a supreme waste of time. Once figured out, he was able to get me the single wheel in a very timely manner! Heard about ModBargains through a buddy of mine. Just needed and alignment and balance, after going to my previous shop and them doing it I wasn't comfortable letting them again. Spoke with Blake, he's able to be reached at ext. 8011. He let me know what machine and what the process is. Drive the 75 miles to get there and I couldn't be any happier. Blake was there to greet me and ask if I had any questions or if I needed anything else. Kept me updated while they were doing it. I was searching for a wheel & tire upgrade for my BMW and came across ModBargins. I spoke with Alan Wei. Since I live on the other side of the USA, I was concerned with the whole purchasing process. Kevin McDonald at Mod-bargains is the greatest. One of the true signs of a good company and good company representative is their willingness to help you prior to any commitment to a sale. Kevin helped educate me concerning offsets and wheel fitments regarding a project for a new BMW, wide-body kit and my wheels. He used illustrations to simplify things. This was my first time ever dealing with Modbargains and I am extremely happy. I had ordered some tires to fit wheels that I had ordered. Unfortunately the company I ordered the wheels from didn't inform me they were discontinued until it was too late and Modbargains had already shipped my tires. I contacted customer service where I was helped by Yunni. She went above and beyond for me. She turned the shipment around, ordered me the correct new sizes I needed and had them shipped out to me. She saved me a ton of money in the process by avoiding return fees, restock fees and the hassles of dealing with shipping them back. I am extremely happy and will definitely be a return customer.
