A man fell off of his barstool and was unresponsive. Management did nothing. There was a nurse there as a guest and she rushed to his help. They called paramedics and she did everything that management wouldn't or ignored to do. Her and her friend took control of the situation and probably saved this guys life. Worst part. The girls didn't even get to finish their drinks because of this and they were then presented with a bill. This place is trash and run by trash. Way to go modern margarita. We had a reservation last evening for a table of 6. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there was a sign on the door stating that there was an issue with the kitchen and that only drinks were being served. I understand that issues can occur, however, customer service should matter! Instead of all of us driving to the restaurant and finding a sign on the door, I believe a company who believes in good customer service,l would inform those with reservations about the issue instead of driving some distance to find a note taped to the door saying the kitchen is closed. After all, phone numbers are provided when the reservation was made. Poor customer service, Unacceptable! read more

Starting with the positive. Service was really great at the bar but there was only a couple people in the restaurant. I love their chips and salsa and I am glad they didnt change that with the new menu and re-branding they did. But did they change their food or their cooks or something? It used to be good but now its not. We got there before happy hour unfortunately and everything was pretty overpriced for what you got. My margarita was all ice. I came in here and I have to say I was disappointed with this supposed Mexican restaurant. The chips and guacamole where ok but bland. The chicken quesadilla I had was very bland and uninteresting. No complexity of flavor or spice. From what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately I have had better quesadillas at Taco Bell. Even the ghost chili hot sauce they gave us was boring. There was no real spice or heat and this is a Mexican restaurant. Where is the heat! Can't say I was super impressed being here a 2nd time. We waited almost 10mins for the host to greet us. Had a reservation for 6 and were seated on the patio in the far corner with no working heaters on a chilly night. Our server started as being super attentive, but as it became more busy it went from 5mins to get something we ordered into 10-15mins to get our drinks. We ordered the taco flight and it was plenty of food for 4 adults especially with the black beans and rice on the side. Everything really needed some salt and lime, but overall everyone was at least happy with the food we received. The 2 kids at the table split the loaded fries and really enjoyed the steak and nacho toppings. The food was overall okay but it was the slow service that caused the lower review. Though when you're paying almost $70 for 15 favors you'd expect spectacular tacos and they're not as great as you'd expect. Went for lunch. Ambiance is a campy, upscale version of an outdoor Mexican bar/restaurant. Bartender told us to sit wherever we wanted. Other than the bartender and few bar patrons, there was one was no around. We took a booth but after 15 min. of waitress no-show, we decided to leave. We were already outside when a young woman ran out and asked if we were there for lunch(?). She claimed everything there was good. Most items on menu are ala cart, including chips and salsa. There was nothing special about the three different tacos I chose. My friend was not impressed with her shrimp tacos either. All portions seemed even smaller when relating to taste, quality, and price. During our meal we each ordered a second glass of iced tea. She brought out two bottles of a well known tea brand. One was previously opened, from which she pored into our glasses what was left. Then she opened the second, topped off our glasses, and left the second bottle at the table. On our bill we were charged $3.95 each for our four glasses of iced tea. Our bill for lunch, including tip, was just over $60.00. We sat at the bar, felt like it was the perfect night to sit bar side. Our bartender, I beleive his name is Nick was AWESOME! Seriously, tip him well, owners, pay him more....he truly stands behind the name of your restaurant and the drinks/food you all serve. He had us laughing, explained to us all the drink options and was just a stand-out guy! We got 3 tacos, I remember one being pork and one being a fish taco, forgot the 3rd. Maybe it was because I was drink a ma-ma-ma-margarita! Wait, what is that sound? Is that a freakin' DJ setting up to play killer music while we drink and eat! It was!!! The bartender did a great job at serving us right when we sat down, getting our check when I reservation for next-door was ready and even letting us get a taste try of a tequila I've never had before!! He specialty made a cocktail off the menu substituting in the vodka base tequila, so so yummy definitely recommend. I also love that this place had the vodka based tequila because they're predominantly a tequila bar but I love vodka and I know there are other vodka drinkers out there YOU WILL find a yummy drink here. Got the carne asada salad this time, and the only thing I would say is that the lettuce was almost all made up of the bitter yellow part of the romaine. Came here for a Friday night fun time. Rick was our bartender and Nick was great also! They both made the experience fun and enjoyable. The food was great and the drinks amazing. The tacos here are really good! The carnitas was great. My daughter and I enjoyed it. Good flavor without being overly salty. I had never had a Korean beef taco so I tried it. To die for, so good. Husband got a steak burrito and it was huge. He said it was good. We also ordered a side of fries and they were good and chips and salsa. They also gave us some guacamole with it. Most places charge you for that- so that was nice. And it was good! Fresh and tasty. The chips were a little thin and fragile IMO but they were hot and tasted fresh and crispy and were good. They just break easily. The salsa was good also. They didn't give us limes which was a little disappointing. We like fresh lime squeezed on our tacos... but the flavor was so good we didn't really need it. We will be back. read more

I live in the area and have been here a couple times because the food and drinks are good (that's why I'm giving 2 stars) but the last couple times I've gone the service has been so bad even on a week night when there's hardly anyone there. I've tried going to this place three times and only one was "successful." From my one experience eating there, the food was good; really bomb queso, but that's about all I can say. Our service was terrible. We had to ask our server several times just to get refills of water and on one occasion we even had to track down the server because he just never showed up again. During my second visit, we went in and stood at the host stand for five minutes and no one came over, not even to say they'd be with us shortly. Another time we came in and tried to order at the bar, but the bartender only paid attention to the regulars and left us hanging. I MAY order takeout from them again, but am done trying to eat in the restaurant after three consistent, negative service experiences. Service was awful!! My 65 year old Mother and I just had lunch at this place and the service was terrible! We had three different waiters who did not check on us. I asked for a side of sour cream, it came after the second time I asked. I had to ask for a second drink, boxes and the check. They didn't offer any of that to us. Instead they stood around talking amongst themselves. Once we paid our bill and left MORE than a 20% tip (almost $30 because we are nice people) a different waiter literally chased us out of the restaurant asking if we paid our bill?! That has NEVER happened to me or my Mom before. Ridiculous that an older woman and her daughter would dine and dash! No apology from them whatsoever! Updated review: I had left a not so great review before. They responded and asked me to give them another try and explained the changes they've made. They even offered to pick up the bill. I went tonight (without telling them) and I had a much better experience. I was greeted and seated immediately. Food was good. Although I liked the carne asada much more than the chicken tacos. Beer was fresh. Staff was fun and attentive. Only possible complaints are the bar stools are not comfortable at all. The TVs are too close to the bar. And I didn't love the chicken tacos.
