The food here is all pretty amazing, the bowls are delicious and the Banh mi sandwich with the blackened chicken was perfect. Really good food with a healthy centering on options. The staff was very friendly and helpful in questions and the location is very bright and inviting. Easy options like pizza for the kiddos too, definitely need to come check it out! read more

Worst food and experience. I entered the restaurant and there were two couples in front of me and no one else in the restaurant. It took 45 minutes to get this sandwich. The whole restaurant smelled like burnt toast. The sandwich was horrible. Zero flavor it looks like someone used the chicken they put on salads instead of sandwich chicken. I am not sure why it took 45 minutes to slap this together perhaps it was because they kept burning the toast. To top it all off this cost $18. Save your money. This place is amazing. There are many dietary accommodations from gluten free, dairy free vegan and vegetarian. Most healthy place when you go out to eat are super expensive and portions are small. Not here! Everything is a reasonable price consideration it's all fresh and whole ingredients. When making my order at the counter the staff did said they were a bit behind and we could expect a 15-20 minute wait for food which was appreciated. It very open and a light happy atmosphere. The Buddha Bowl was so good! Packed with enough stuff for 2 meals. It took a little longer to make than the pizza but the result was a delicious goodness. It's got a kick so if you like spicy food go for it. If you don't, stay away. My husband wasn't impressed with the pizza so you may want to consider something else. The service was so amazing! I hate to leave a bad review especially because I love modern market, but my experience tonight was not good. I ordered the salmon Cesar with onions. The salmon was cooked like a jerky. Modern Market has gone way downhill. Issues with every item we bought listed below: Ordered blackened chicken thigh for protein for a plate and a bowl and got tofu and chicken breast Ordered a kids grilled cheese. The bread was not grilled at all, super soft like its fresh out of the bread bag and somehow it tasted BURNT. Not sure how this is even possible. I have now been to this location twice. They are very unfriendly, to the point of wondering if it's purposeful. I can't see why any business owner would be intentionally unfriendly, but that is my opinion. They don't follow basic instructions to place side items/specific instructions no matter how you try to put in the notes. I have called customer service to have the notes added in, and I've added them in two different areas with Asterisks. It doesn't work, they don't do it. And when you ask for the side items, they tell you to add notes. So they clearly don't care enough to even look for those details. The service is very slow, even for pick up. They don't address you when you come in. Unfortunately I do not recommend this location. The owner needs to be trained in owning a business, and employees need to be adequately trained in customer service/care. They need to hire staff members that can at minimum be polite. Giving the 2 star rating because the location was clean, and the food is perfectly fine. I did not go into the bathroom or look around. I went for a pick up order. read more

I took my mom here to get something healthy for us. She insisted on paying and used her credit card which she rarely uses.... the next day she had hundreds of dollars worth of charges on her card. Either their systems are bugged or an employee took advantage of an old lady... which by the way the staff treated us i'd say it was option 2... First two times here had no issue, Third time we ordered out for four people. They got only 1 order right. Unhappy, we wrote to them twice and included a picture of the food and receipt. Now after several weeks of no return reply I give up and writing a somewhat negatve review. My son in law goes to another Modern Market location regularly and was especially disappointed with his child size serving of chicken. My daughter had to microwave her salad because the lettuce was partially frozen. My sandwich was good, but missing the homemade chips which usually come with it. Went with some girlfriends for lunch, and was so disappointed. Ordered the salmon curry and could not even finish it. The salmon was so DRY. It was not flaky, was literally so dry I could barely pierce it with my fork. The curry was lukewarm. It honestly made me think of hospital food. Which is so sad because I've been to another location (Briargate) and was really impressed. We walked in, there were 3 other people before us and one seated party. It took over 45 minutes to get food and the people who ordered after us were served first before we were. When I paid for our order of two salads- I left a 20% tip and the woman behind the counter sighed and rolled her eyes and then handed my husband all of the drink cups and receipt. The whole time we were waiting for our food, a male employee was walking around outside and lounging casually in the shade while wearing his apron, work shirt, and hat. And to top it all off, one of our salads was done, but it sat for too long and they had to make it again instead of serving it when it was done. There were also 3 separate tables that weren't bussed with old food, plates, and napkins on them. I love Modern Market, but this one was hot garbage compared to other locations. Very sad. This was our second visit and the food wasn't very good at all! We waited 10 minutes in line and when we got up to the register it seemed like they had nothing on the menu. My kids wanted pizza....nope, not available! So my kids changed their mind to salad...pretty simple, right? Nah....a lot of the items to pick for the salad weren't even available. After we ordered. We waited exactly 34 minutes for our food. If I was going to wait this long....i should have gone to an actual restaurant, since I'm just about paying restaurant prices. The first visit was during a busy lunch time and we waited about 30 minutes for our food. There was literally 1 family in the place and no reason for us to wait that long for food! Completely ridiculous! We made the mistake of coming back the 2nd time.....We definitely won't make the mistake of coming back a 3rd time! read more
