One evening, we had a family rendez-vous here, which worked for both vegans and carnivores. Our friendly server led us through the bar and main room to another dining area that was much roomier. Service was attentive for our large group. The Crab Rangoon appetizers ($8.95) disappeared almost immediately. The vegans devoured the Edamame ($4.95). I ordered the ample Sizzling Beef and Scallops ($26.95), which was spicy and delicious. Even though I ate a lot of it, there was plenty left over for a huge lunch the next day! She was nice enough to let us order a second round before happy hour ended but waited until we finished our first drinks to make them. The fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious and probably some of the best I've ever had. She said they pickle the tomatoes before they fry them. For dinner, I had the gumbo with a side of mac and cheese. It was fantastic and the perfect portion size. My colleague had the ribs with sides of a biscuit, coleslaw, and brussel sprouts.
