Located in self standing building in the middle of a strip mall parking lot inside of an Urgent Care facility. Checking in was unusual, as soon as you enter the door the check in reception is right there. The receptionist asked for my mother's ID and gave me a clipboard with approx. 20 Xerox copies of forms that I had to fill out. I knew this is going to happen so we checked in about 30 minutes prior to the appointment so that I could fill out all this paperwork for my mom in order to establish as a new patient. The paperwork was tedious and very outdated like paperwork from 1985. Luckily I had all of my mothers information and I was able to complete what I could. The waiting room is small and didn't seem to have enough seats for all the patients waiting. I couldn't tell if we were in the private practice portion or the urgent care portion as everyone was kind of lumped into one waiting room. First impression is this clinic just feels dated. The building, the decor, and the furniture. My mom was called and they took us back to an exam room. The nurse was nice. One thing I noticed about the exam room is that there is no computer so all of the paperwork and orders by the doctor and nurse were written by hand. My mom got seen for about 5 minutes by provider and he seemed nice enough. I was frustrated because he asked us why we were here today. I had told the reason when I made the appointment, to the receptionist, and the Nurse. We were able to refill my mothers medication's and also get some labs that were long overdue. We have to go to another location for labs which my Mom really care for. The doctor misspelled my Mom's name on the order so that really didn't make a good impression with her. Overall experience left me a little ambivalent. The care we received met our immediate needs however, no real care plan moving forward. So we will see how the next visit goes.

The suite we were going to is located on the third floor as well as the lab. When we entered, we received a friendly greeting by the front desk clerk and she checked us in. We were quickly brought into exam and after vitals and a few questions the provider joined us. The exam room was spacious, bright and clean. There were two chairs for my Mom and I to sit. The experience was very pleasant for my Mom. She liked all the staff very much. From my POV all staff was kind and very professional. Shout out to Dr. Kulai, Jona and Juan for providing excellent healthcare to my Mom.

Made appointment, waited a couple of weeks for appointment only to learn upon arrival they cancelled the appointment due to "incomplete"forms. I had a screen shot of the confirmation that the forms they sent were completed. They claimed that it was not those forms but additional forms.. No apology from them, arrogant didregard for my time, and the fact that they compromised my health by prolonging a much needed check up. I reported to referring physician, at his urging attempted yet again to provide the "missing" data and reschedule the appointment. Again, met with unhelpful and arrogant staff who could not clarify what alleged forms had yet to be completed prior to appointment or they would cancel without further notice. Requested to speak with office manager. Office manager did finally figure out which "forms" they cancelled the appointment over, instead of a humble apologetic attitude, I was met with an arrogant disregard for my experience with them. Despite the fact that I was working very hard to get to the bottom Of which forms they required, and had already been inconvenienced and any diagnosis prolonged at the expense of my health, this office manager continued to reprimand and arrogantly repeat that if I did not Complete the forms they would cancel the appointment again without any further notice! It was so unpleasant I can only imagine what moving forward with this physician's office would have entailed and chose to see a different physician. Cannot comment on the competence of the physician. Good gastro's are plentiful in the LA area I strongly do not recommend this office.

Regardless I remember getting my first colonoscopy at a health south facility. Remember them, I do, from the moment of laying down and having to plead with them to give me anesthesia as they were not sure of the insurance I had would pay for it, thankfully they must have caved, as I don't remember the procedure. Which was the only thing I can be thankful that happened that fateful day. No, when I came to Dr. George came by, didn't stop and dropped off a color photo of a tumor in my colon. I remember asking "what do I do?" He responded on his way to his next procedure "you go to a general surgeon". This was my last interaction/only interaction with Dr. George. Then the nurse informed me that I would likely be wearing a "colostomy bag" going forward. This is 100% how it happened and I was so angry. I was 30 years old and coincidentally this happened on my daughter's 1st birthday. The lack of bedside manner by this POS was mind blowing. I did get my Colon resection by a stud Colon rectal surgeon and wonderful chemo care from a great Oncologist. I'm 54 now and have had dozens of clear colonoscopies and never ever have had this type of treatment. I have had other procedures as well and some that required hospital stays, anesthesia, you name it I've been very fortunate for the care that I've been given. But I'll never forget how pompous and uncaring George was, and I really would encourage you to go to Dr. Daneshagar, who is a lovely man with a local practice.
