The food here is overpriced garbage. The price you pay for the food is not worth it compared to the amount you get.

If I could give a Negative 5 star I would! These people are Rude, self serving, and are not helpful at all. The store says they close on the sign at 9 pm. We confirmed with them that they close at 9 pm. When we sat down to eat at 8:35 PM, they told us we had to leave. We asked why? We walked in at 8:30 to order the food and confirmed closing time was at 9. When we sat at the table, they said we had to leave because they had to start cleaning the dining room room before 9 pm...So they kicked us out! We had nowhere to go to eat our food that we just spent $56 on! We asked the manager, and he said we had to go! So we ended up eating in the car! All 4 of us! In the middle of January!! They suck!! When we finished our meal in the car, we drove by at 9:05 and they were still cleaning the dining room so we easily could've eaten there at 8:35 and been out by 8:45 PM. The bathroom and soda fountain were disgusting! Maybe that what they had to spend all their time cleaning! Also the food prep area was also unkept and Dirty! No diversity either! The kid taking my order did not speak English so he didn't understand what I was asking for. My husband wanted a Quesadilla which the kid tried to make as a burrito. He eventually put it on the flat top with everything piled in the middle. Epic fail. My burrito tasted dry and old. Drink dispenser did not have working ice (3 months after the last reviewer said the ice maker wasn't working). I was told the soda in the machine is cold, it was not. So, the soda machine is still broken after 3 months. Store was dirty and staff doesn't even know their own menu. I would think food safety is a very big issue. Every time I come here, the ingredients look like they've been sitting out for a while, there's always a dry layer on top. When I asked for a kids cup for my kid I was told they could only ring me up for a regular size drink???? Then told me there was no ice in the machine and assured me the drinks still come out cold, every option I tried was room temp and was flat. Disappointing. I never had Moe's in my life prior to this. I was just hungry and popped in to this location. The staff were nice. I got a bowl with rice, beans, veggies and steak. I was served a ton of steak but couldn't eat it. The meat was supposedly steak but it tasted like chemicals and had extreme amounts of salt. (My husband tasted the steak and agreed that it tasted really weird). It was totally inedible. I ended up picking off the meat and eating the rest of the bowl which was ok. I want to preface this by stating I really like Moes, this location however is not great. Every time I've ever been to this location the experience has been subpar. They are constantly out of items. Things like veggies and rice, not because they don't have the items, but because the staff either doesn't know how to prepare them or doesn't care. I went today 2.5 hours before closing and they were out of white rice, mushrooms, and peppers. The drink machine was out of almost every soda besides Dr. Pepper and ginger ale. Some of the staff is really pleasant but the majority are silent wet mops. The salsa bar was full which was great but the salsas all had a very weird off putting taste. I wish I could say that this was due to the pandemic but this location has been this bad for years. read more

We are fans of Moe's, and this was our first time at this location. Very disappointed in the portion size of the burritos. They were maybe 2/3 to 3/4 of the size we normally get at other Moe's. The price was also $10.99. Overall the restaurant seemed fairly dirty, especially the restrooms. We won't be back to this location. read more

I normally love this location never have had a problem but today was very disheartening to experience. As I came in this women was going insane screaming at her fellow coworkers and it seemed very hostile. As I checked out I asked a employee her name. Her name is Cassandra and she is completely unprofessional. She ruined my dining experience and it was so bad I felt uncomfortable. Eventually I had to leave because I was so uncomfortable with the hostile environment in the restaurant a higher needs to take care of this immediately. This has to be the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The employees all looked like they were 14 and it was their first day ever working a job. I order a bowl and not only did they under portion every single thing, when I asked for double chicken the second scoop had a literal 3 small pieces of chicken. They have the best and freshest ingredients. I've driven past 10 Taco Bell's to get to Moe's, it's that good. I typically go to the location in Lowell Massachusetts. The people there are very nice, very helpful with a positive attitude. Between the fresh jalapeños and the fresh cilantro - it's a no-brainer. Stopped in early afternoon on a Friday (drum hill location). Service from the young man working the front was lacking and many of the tables were dirty and/or had trash on them. Further in the back area by drink machine and salsa bar there were many small fruit flies (too numerous to count - probably a couple hundred). Chicken is at east 2 rungs lower than what you get at Chipotle, but you get rice and more real food as a percentange so I guess good and bad. The service here is a little "wishy washy" as some may like to call it, but in my humble opinion after my experience tonight I just think it's the literal definition of utter rubbish. And if I want to talk about rubbish I must mention the taco my colleague got, I'm going to try to watch my profanity here so I'll just say "what the heck was that?!" The beef in said taco was very slimy and tasted like rubber which is NOT what my associate asked for. The tomatoes were just plain rubbish and had no flavor, and the lettuce tasted like paper. I've been there twice now in the past month....always clean...Or quickly cleaned up after a rush... I love that I don't have to YELL my order like I have too at Chipotle. The food is very good...I get the chicken..and the last few times I've eaten at Chipotle..the chicken is fatty with tendons.....Moe's very good no fat... staff are friendly...very young..But fun.... I like that they serve tofu so I can go with my sister and best friend... Yes it is pricy..13$ for burrito bowl and drink... But I always have a hard time finishing my food there is so much... Maybe the chips aren't free..they are included in the price... But I still recommend.. Parking is ok... big lot... read more

It's like Chipotle only better! Cafeteria style with a good sized dining area. We have visited there two times now and next time we are in the area, we'll surely go back. There are way more ingredients than Chipotle, they are more generous with the servings, included in your meal is a large helping of tortilla chips and free salsa bar. The meals were so big, we often end up taking some home. Staff is hard working and nice, but sometimes they are understaffed. Music is good, but loud. Plenty of free parking. I prefer Moe's to Chipotle any day. read more

Oh goodness - some of the previous reviewers make me very sad. Moes is a marvelous chain that serves a consistantly solid burrito with fresh ingredients, perfectly customized, with the best queso that you could ever ask for - all the cheesy flavor with a jalepeno kick! Yes, they yell at you when you walk in the door. It's a chain. This is their thing. They want you to feel welcome. Their menu is fullof cleverly named references the common person may not get - my favorite deli does the same. Read the descriptions, you'll get it. Or just tell the person what you want - they'll figure it out. This is NOT a taco bell. The ingredients are SO different. Geez! "WELCOME TO MOOOOOOE'S!!" shouts the man I can only assume is the manager or shift supervisor. "welcometomoe's," half-heartedly echos the staff, who clearly think this is the lamest catchphrase ever and can't wait to go to Panera next door after work and fill out an application. So, yeah, it was lame, but I found myself uttering it at random times throughout the weekend and for this reason, I will be back. Well, that and the food. This is a big step up from Taco Bell, but not on the same level as Border Cafe or something comparable to that. My quesadillas were good, but not something I could eat with my hands which is what I expected. The chips and salsa are good, although I didn't take full advantage of the salsa bar and try all the varieties. I was too enthralled by the queso to bother with them, but next time I'll be sure to experiment with the salsas. Service is exceedingly slow. They could use some pointers from Anna's on speediness. This might be partly due to rookie staff at this new location, but the menu is also confusing, which I'm sure leads to slow processing of orders. My cohorts and I had to spend a few minutes just figuring out exactly what our options were. Thankfully we figured thigns out before the crowd rolled in, because by the time we got our food there was a line out the door. We actually ended up here because there were no seats available at Panera next door. Is Chelmsford that starved for inexpensive lunch eateries that these two places are so crowded? Oh well. I decided what I wanted, ordered, they make it right in front of you, nice big portion, but you pay for it, . . . I ordered a burrito steak bowl online. The place wasnt busy when I had arrived to pick up my order and they had 3 workers who were on their phones. Of course, my order wasn't ready, so I had to wait. I paid and left. Opened my bowl to find no steak...........at this point im pissed. Went back to show them my receipt and no steak in my bowl. He gave me a tiny scoop. Here I am Moe! Now, you'd think a place called Moe's would know that line. Nope. This is a "Mexican" place. I put it in quotes because it's not really. Was the food good? Yes. Did it do the job? Yes. Am I excited about Moe's? No. Had the Fat Sam's (pay the extra 49 cents for REAL steak). They steamed three small tortillas and basically made a condiment tray. As I said, the food was good, but it wasn't worth $12. Should have gone to Chipolte or Qdoba for a better experience and saved some money. Or better yet, a REAL Mexican place. The best thing about Moe's? Free Wi-Fi, unless that guy was surfing off Panera Bread's wifi. Free drink refills. Welcome to Moeeeeee'sssssss. While it's kinda funny to make fun of the management-imposed enthusiasm, Moe's actually isn't too bad of a Tex-Mex joint. Not to be mistaken with the real McCoy, Moe's acknowledges their "Mexican-style" cuisine, and serves up burritos, tacos, soups, and their own version of a crunchwrap supreme. After you figure out which way you want to get your rice-meat-cheese fix, you'll probably notice that the ingredients don't really jump out at you as being particularly fresh, but they're solid nonetheless. And the fact that every meal comes with chips is pretty cool, though the chips are clearly worked into the price. Also, I'm a fan of the multiple types of salsa that you can scoop up yourself, and the Who Is Kaiser Salsa obviously conjured thoughts of Kevin Spacey, which made me chuckle because, well, Spacey's pretty awesome. If you go in expecting larger-than-average sized portions, decent ingredients, and Mexican-style (style being the key word here), then you'll have a good meal. I mean, that's exactly what Moe's plays itself out to be. But, if you're looking for Mexico City authenticity, you best look elsewhere. read more

UMass Lowell students have been looking for a burrito place for a long long time that is not in the city. Moes is the answer! Although the parking can be a problem due to the Wal-mart and other stores in the plaza, the food is good!! Moe's offers burritos, tacos, quesadillas, fajitas and nachos. All have the choice of meat and the other toppings. A pork Homewrecker is my favorite. It comes with everything they have to put in their burritos. The also have the option of steak or chicken. All meats are good, but pork is the best. They make what you want right in front of you and ask you what you want on it. I love this because I can get exactly what I want every time. Their chips are delicious especially when you get a cup of their queso. Also you can get salsa on the side at their salsa bar, which has a wide selection of salsas at various "hotness" levels. I keep saying I should try the insanely hot stuff but keep chickening out. Someday I would though!! Moe's is a great place if you're in a rut of what to eat and/or tired of other fast food! The biggest problem is figuring out what you want to eat when you first walk in, unless you have a craving for something specific and know what you want. During a meal rush this can get frustrating to Moe's vets. Overall it's a great place!! read more

Since I love Mexican food I was so excited to hear a new place was opening near the local grocery store. I have to say that I waited a while to write my review because I wasn't sure how I felt about Moe's. No this isn't authentic Mexican food like all the local taco shops in San Diego. But it is nice to be able to get a taco somewhere close by and I find myself there at least once a week. I usually get a chicken or a pork taco and a side of queso. I am hooked on their queso and they give you chips with any order. For where we are, I give this place three stars. They are pretty pricey compared to a taco shop. I don't even order burritos here because they are like $8 and I really don't need that much food. So even though it's not authentic, it is convenient and fresh. I heard they don't even freeze anything. And there's the queso. Enough said. read more

So, it seems that Chain-Burrito Shops are "In" right now. You've got places like Cilantro's Mexican Grill, Chipotle's Mexican Grill, Qdoba Mexican Grill, (see a pattern?)...and I've tried all those. Well...this place is local to me, being from Billerica, the Moe's in Chelmsford is much closer for me than cruising over to Saugus to hit some other more popular ones. It's the only reason it gets 3 stars and not 2. First off, the staff are pretty lackluster in appearance, greeting and service. But I'd have to say, I've not been in many fast-food chains that have anything but that. Anyway, I was pretty psyched to see a Burrito Shop in the area other than Taco Bell. In fact, Taco Bell should not even be mentioned as a Burrito Alternative. They're brutally awful. If you're going to hit Taco Bell at all, keep it at the tacos...they're cheap and probably the best value there. So at Moe's I ordered the 'Homewrecker'. This amounts to the biggest stuffed burrito you can get. Grilled Meat, Beans, any toppings, Sour Cream and Guac. I am not sure I understand the reference to it being the 'Homewrecker', however. - Is Moe's a Meat Market where Singles hang out waiting to sexually exploit you via infidelity for getting the biggest burrito that Moe's can offer? - Is it THAT unhealthy for you that you're going to pass from cardiac arrest leaving hungry mouths to feed at home? - Does this Burrito give you SO much gas, your spouse is going to leave you? Anywho... For fillers, I chose: Chicken, Pinto Beans, Salsa, Onions, Lettuce, Cheese, Sour Cream and Guac. With that, they give you some tortilla chips...where at a side bar you can pick up hot sauce and some different tasting sauces and salsas. Well, the chips are a warmer version of non-brand name tortilla chips you'd buy in any grocery mart. Some of the Salsa's are better than others... And the burrito was decent. Not great...not awful...just decent. Chicken wasn't terribly flavorful, but wasn't a bad compliment to the fillings inside. I am a bigger fan of the Lime-Cilantro rice at some of the more popular chain burrito shops...the rice here at Moe's was awful looking...but not so bad tasting. It wasn't very well put together, but I've seen worse. As far as dollar amount, you'll be out of there for less than $10 if you don't get anything else. I'd say if this is your 1st burrito experience, you'll be satisfied. If you'd had others, however...and are any kind of burrito aficionado, you'll find this was just par, maybe a tad under par, for course. This was my first time going to Moe's and I had such high hopes. I typically would be against reviewing a chain like this, but my experience was pretty bad. First off, the customer service was terrible. The employee assembling our food was so impatient to the point of seeming annoyed as I quickly chose what I wanted in my burrito. She applied guacamole to my girlfriend's bowl like a bitter lunch lady serving day-old mashed potatoes, spilling some onto the counter and then scooping it back into her bowl. When I finally got to the register to pay, without saying anything the person ringing me up left to go do something in the middle of the transaction. I had to stand there awkwardly and hungry. When she returned, I paid $12 and change for a burrito and a fountain drink. The self-serve soda machine had no ice in it, and instead there was a container of ice out on the counter next to it. No big deal until I realized that the soda came out of the machine warm and immediately melted the ice. The food was nothing to write home about either. The portions were large, but it was actually pretty bland. My girlfriend didn't eat much of hers because she kept getting really hard pieces of rice. The only good thing about the meal were the "free" chips and salsa. I would probably not eat at Moe's again after this and especially not at this location. read more

The place is a chipotle wanna be. Prices are high along with the attitude of the staff. My buddy did not want sour cream on his burrito and before he could say it the white stuff was already on it . he mentioned it he did not want it and the girl with a grown faced got his gloves in the burrito to remove and while doing took out half the chicken with it. True customer service would just make a new one with a smile. Two stars only because they give chips (ready from bag) with salsa along with all sides. they have a salsa bar with like 5 - 6 salsa which is decent at best. I think it's funny that people complain about the staff yelling "Welcome to Moe's" when you walk in. I was a little taken aback when I first walked in, but then cracked up. When's the last time you went to a fast food place where the staff wasn't a bunch of young kids with sour looks on their faces? It was surprising, but refreshing. I looked at the menu online and I'm a pretty picky eater, so I had in my mind what I was going to eat. I had two tacos, both hard shell, one with grilled chicken and the other with ground beef. My only toppings were lettuce and cheese. My tacos were $3.50 each, and I was happy with the size and the amount of meat in each one. The chicken did not have much flavor (I thought it could have been spicier) and the ground beef was delicious, but it was a little too moist (if that's the right word) and it leaked through the shell, causing it to break. All in all, I liked the place and would probably go back. It's a nice change from Panera, Chili's, etc., with an actual friendly staff! PS-love the fact that they have wine and beer! And my husband enjoyed the big screen tv's. read more
