Just wanted to say the crew today was outstanding. Very efficient, the fastest we have ever been served. Of course the food was good too.

Always love me some Ruby Tuesday as they are far and few these days…read more This location in Ellijay was nice and not busy but truly understaffed. Family attempted to dine the night before but only one server was on shift as they warned us so we decided to return and give them a shot 2 afternoons later before leaving town. They were still understaffed but not as busy so we risked it all and wasn't too disappointed. Our server was nice and friendly and checked up on us and service was fast and professional. Always love their salad bar and they have a great variety of salad toppings and dressings, along with cold salad options. Everything was fresh and nicely chilled and refreshing as they should be. Our food came out timely and fairly quickly. Everything was hot and fresh. Your classic Ruby Tuesdays always hits the spot and makes you feel welcome with their standard decor that's basic and simple.

Understandable so we decided to go elsewhere and come back another day. We came back the following Saturday for lunch. We sat right away. The waitress was really friendly she noticed one of our family members was having a tough time choosing from the menu. She recommended some healthy options and even brought extra grilled zuccini. Thank you for that. I have to say I was not impressed with the salad bar and my burger came out really dry. We had potato wedges that were a bit dry and could use a bit more cheese. Overall food was ok but the service and the staff deserve all the merit.

Another local favorite located in downtown Elljay! This Bar…read more& Grill is perfect to grab a burger or your favorite chicken wings. Waitress was friendly and made it very clear not to touch her. She explained that she has an allergy to Mango Habanero sauce. Mango Habanero is one of the chicken wing sauces. We ended up having a conversation about allergies with the waitress. Their chicken wings are juicy and you get many sauces to choose from but my favorite meal was the Mahi Reuben Sandwich which was fantastic. Sweet, tangy and creamy so much better than corned beef. It did not taste fishy at all and the rye bread had the best buttery crisp edges. River Street Tavern is cozy, casual and it has a compact lay out. You get to relax and can have a conversation over a few beers and good food. Place gets busy but is not loud. Whether you're one of the locals or just passing by, leave your mark by pinning a dollar bill to the ceiling.

Small cozy tavern nestled in the corner of downtown town Ellijay is easy to miss but you don't wanna miss out. Love the dollar bill theme stapled on the ceiling and around every nook and cranny of the tavern. Love the support of local artists where masterpieces are displayed for sale. Our waitress was friendly but service was a little slow. Apparently she was allergic to the mango habanero wing flavors we ordered so only really saw her in the beginning and at the end of service. Food was good and the mahi Reuben is a must try as the unique combination actually works very well. Chicken and waffle was also good as the chicken was super crispy and tender and the bacon maple syrup hit the spot! Wings were crispy even when heavily sauced. Definitely will return for the Mahi Reuben!

It was a busy Thanksgiving Eve and service and quality still off without a hitch! Well ran location…read morewith seating at the bar high top after a slight wait. Was greeted and served fairly quickly by our waitress that was attentive and kind even on a busy night. Food arrived and everything looked great and tasted great! I always try to say something positive in my reviews but I am honestly struggling this time…read more We sat down after a long long day of hard physical exertion and we were starved. The idea of a steak took hold of me and I convinced my partner in crime that the Longhorn I had been to elsewhere delivered a very good steak. We were greeted with a honey and dear which was fine and drinks arrived quickly. As I said we were hungry and ordered immediately - a rare feat for me by the way. Then we waited ..and waited. The salads arrived after the dinner was served. By then we were pretty annoyed and it got worse. Our steaks were problematic - mine was rare and thick as ordered. My boyfriend's medium rare steak was a thin piece of meat too overcooked to be called well done. Our waitress arrived, viewed the overdone steak, remarked "bad on them" when she didn't see our salads and left. We grabbed another server and him hunt down the manager. He agreed the steak was not what was ordered. He did offer to fire up another but we explained we were in a rush now and had to head out to tend to our dogs. He offered to comp our meals since either of us ate them and just have us pay for our drinks. We agreed and stressed we really needed the bill - we needed to leave. We did leave after 15 minutes when we still had no bill and the waitstaff were nowhere to be found (on a busy Saturday night). Just save yourself from a really poorly managed restaurant and go elsewhere.
