I went to this Moe's out of convenience and was pretty disappointed. My quesadilla was simply chicken and cheese and it came out to $15 which felt very high for what I was getting. I enjoyed the rice bowl much more on another occasion. The chips were nice and salty as expected and they have a salsa bar where you can take whatever salsa you want to go. If I end up coming back here I will likely just stick with a rice bowl. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have only been to this Moe's twice. The first time the lady was nice and signed me up for rewards which immediately gave me a BOGO for a burrito/bowl. When I went the second time for a burrito/bowl with a drink for 7.99, they charged me full price for the meals and also tried charging me for a homewrecker when I built my own burrito(but according to the lady if I add guacamole to the burrito they can change it... even though it doesn't have the homewreckers full ingredients.) They give half scoops and charge extra when you ask for a regular sized normal scoop. We're not birds feed us like humans. Overpriced, not worth it, chipotle is better. Somehow Moe's has been on my radar during the lockdown. They have a new app, offer rewards and have tasty tacos. I mean, what could be better than tacos during these trying times? We were heading to my favorite butcher and I know there's a Moe's in the area. We pull in, pop on our masks and walk into the restaurant. No one is yelling: "Welcome to Moe's!" They quietly take our order, package up our food and we're on our way to eat outside in the back of my SUV. You're probably wondering about the tacos? I haven't had a taco in 3 months, this taco rocked! Also add the homemade chips and queso cheese, heaven during the pandemic. While I'm outside, I'm noticing the landscaping is really rough. Had to take a star off my review from four years ago. A few weeks ago I went into the store 10 minutes before closing. They were helping customers so we waited on line for 10 minutes. 9:50 to 10pm, waiting for our turn. So we get to the register after waiting and they say "sorry we have no food left we're closed". Clearly they had food and didn't want to help us. Note to customer service: you stop helping the people that enter AFTER closing and NOT the people who are regulars and have been waiting inside the store for 10 minutes. If someone entered the subway that I used to work at 9:59, a minute before close I would help them. It doesn't matter. This place really made me angry, but I am not giving less than 4 stars because of the history I had with this place. This place just really needs to get better at communication and treating customers right. I understand that a lot of customers Moe's gets are rude. Eh. Now I know why it's been forever since I've been back. Their portions are small, and they don't give you enough meat with your choice to constitute it as a meal. The chicken is dry....the chicken has always been dry. They changed their pork. It used to be pulled pork...and now it's pork carnitas..my boyfriend said it was a bad move to change the pork because now it's terrible. Guac is extra. I know and understand that...but when I'm given about a teaspoon of guac...that's not worth the up-charge that they charge. Everything tonight was just terrible. Picked up my x and her friend and wanted to grab something quick and different on our way to the Hampton bays. Moes was a last min option. We wanted something to grab and go. It was different than McDonald's and BK. The prices were ok for a Mexican place. Granted it's Long Island so prices are inflated to begin with. Service was ok. We were first in line. It was me my x and her friend. The girl was standing behind the register. She dident even notice us standing there in front of the food. Finally she left the register and went in the back. About a minute later. A different girl comes out from the back and threw her hands up like ooh great not again. As if the girl behind the register does this all the time. The girl who threw her hands up put on gloves and took our order. I told her don't stress out we're easy going. I'm assuming that happens a lot. The employee just nodded to me. The girl who helped us was very polite and friendly. The girl behind the counter couldn't care less. I felt bad for the employee who helped us because she was left doing the work of 2 ppl. I ordered a big burrito. With grilled chicken and lettuce and tomato sour cream. Ooh and black beans. It was good. The chips that come with the dish were good. Overall. The food was good. Customer service was good from the girl who helped us. I did feel bad because she was basically doing the work of 2 ppl. The girl who dident greet us or ignored us when we were in line. I hope she doesn't do that to everyone. I don't really give bad reviews on yelp. I try to give the benefit. But. That was some seriously bad customer service. Moe's review I've been here probably 6 times over the last several weeks and I have to say that despite the mediocre reviews I was pleasantly surprised. I've had the bowls, burritos, quesadillas and nachos with the ground beef, chicken (both kinds), pork and steak. I've yet to try the tofu. The chicken (either kind depending on what mood I'm in) or steak are my favorites. I found the pork a little too salty and the ground beef a little too greasy. I have only ordered using the app and once over the phone so I don't have to wait on what other reviewers describe as long lines. One time my order was incorrect and also a 20% promotion wasn't applied -- both issues were with the same order. I didn't notice either problem until I got home (a 15 minute ride) and it was after they closed. During my next visit they applied the 20% promotion, cool. Pros: The portions are very filling -- I order one item and it lasts for 2-3 meals. I usually order a bowl or a burrito. I've only ordered to-go and would never again order nachos to-to (my mistake) unless I ask for the chips separate, because when I got home it was a soupy mess. The staff is very friendly and my order is always ready when I arrive. I only had the one error and that was made right on my next visit. I place my orders ahead of time using the app so I can skip what other reviewers describe as long lines and also because it's easier when ordering multiple items for a crowd with all the different options and toppings. Cons: When you use the app you're supposed to earn rewards but they don't always show up and the few times I brought this to the attention of (very friendly) staff they didn't really know what to do about it. Not really a big deal but would be nice if the reward system was more... rewarding. Also, I've tried just about everything on the menu but they all taste the same because of the additional toppings you can add. So once you pick what protein you want then add the pico, corn salsa, cilantro, lettuce, grilled onion/peppers/mushrooms to a burrito/bowl/quesadilla you have the same tasting thing but in different shape and form, no? My first visit....seems a bit grimy to me. Employees throw the food onto the plate like they are slinging trash. The cashier was confused at best either too stupid to ring up or maybe just totally out to lunch. Asked for one beverage got two. Have no idea what she charged as she immediately threw the receipt to the side all crumpled. The patron in front of us was charged for his meals and the person in front of him. So she opened the register and counted out cash for him. Again, providing no receipts, tossed the evidence to the side. I think this place needs a management review. My friend wanted a quick meal so I tagged along for a free taco on him. Upon arriving, there was a long line of people waiting to order. WIth the amount of people there, I have to say that the line went pretty quickly. The service was fast and friendly. He ordered a quesadilla and I had a taco with chicken, black beans, olives, cucumbers, and pico de gallo. All dishes come with free chips and salsa (and there's a salsa refill station). My taco was small for $4, to say the least. It is very comparable to a $3 chicken chalupa at Taco Bell. My friend enjoyed his quesadilla thoroughly, especially the cheese and how it melted just so with all of his ingredients-- $7. A soft drink with unlimited refills: $1.99. First off, I would like to say that I have never had a problem with this place and quite honestly I was looking forward to having lunch with a group of my individuals with special needs from work. To start off our experience- I called ahead to place the group's orders (as some of you may know.. with the agency I work for I needed all separate orders, individual receipts, etc.) which I made clear in the beginning of my phone conversation. I state that there's going to be 6 separate orders, and then I begin saying my order. After completing the first order, I ask for the total (so I can write it on the envelope and make sure each person has enough money) and I get told "sorry, we can't provide prices over the phone." **side note- I had printed out a menu offline which I now know was all incorrect prices; it must have been outdated.** Although they couldn't provide me prices of each order (for whatever reason) I proceed with ordering. Again, simply going off the menu I printed out with [incorrect] prices on them. After finishing my order, the man over the phone is reading it back to me without saying the exceptions (some people didn't want guac, sour cream, etc.). When I address that some didn't want certain fixings on their food, the man gave me an attitude and said, "I know which ones don't want certain things and I told you I wouldn't put them on there." We hang up after our conversation and I leave to pick up our order, anticipating that all of this is going to be messed up somehow. I get to Moe's and the manager is ringing me up at the register. She gave me (and the individual I had brought with me to help pick up all of the food) an attitude. She would say, "k here's the total for the first quesadilla" and as I began asking which one ("the one without the guacamole or the one with no beans or the one that had a drink with the meal?") she told me, "I don't know, it's just a quesadilla." I basically had to look on the computer to figure out each individual order, unfortunately made some meals not get drinks (because that put them over budget) and did not even get consideration. I got a rude "sorry guess you don't have enough" while ripping a drink cup out of the pile in front of me. Like I said, I've never had issues with this place but unfortunately they've lost my personal business as well as my company's. We will not be returning. First visit to any Moe's last Friday. Stopped in for Lunch, the line moved fairly quickly and the entire staff was very helpful. Good vegetarian options as well. for the price the food was good. All ingredients were fresh and the chips and dip was excellent. We visited on Cinco and all customers received a free t-shirt which was a nice surprise. It's a shame since a Moe's in the local area has such potential. Not a big fan of the layout and ordering process, but I could definitely look past it if it were my only complaint or concern. The food was okay. The service was okay. No real complaints about taste, ingredients, etc. I was a bit put off by the price - seems a little bit high for the quality of ingredients, portion size and the fact that you have to bring your own food to your table and clear it off. Love the Coke machine. More fast food establishments need to get these beautiful pieces of carbonated beverage apparatus. Drink combinations are endless. Loved my cherry, lime diet Coke. It's great fast food and run properly the line moves fast and it tastes great. well, the rocky point location is slow as all heck and has a bunch of highschool kids with no work ethic behind the counter. the girl that made my food looked like she had never even made cold cereal for herself let alone a burrito. The experience was bad and ultimately the food quality was really poor at this location. If you like to watch a bunch of employees not being concerned that the line is long and have absolutely no hustle. I did get a good recommendation for Moe's from a coworker and there were a couple of positive reviews here on Yelp. At the end of the day Moe's does not compare to Salsa Salsa or Green Cactus. (note to self, go back to Green Cactus soon). The Burrito I had was just OK. None of the ingredients tasted overly fresh or robust. The Nacho's we just a sopping mess. I think the chips themselves are fine. These are fresh fried in store and they seamed to be crisp and tasty. All of the toppings (which is why most people get nachos) are wet and this soaks into the chips with amazing speed. The quesso cheese also is not impressive. It kind of reminds me of a cheese soup. So I'm doubting I'll go back. If I make the decision early enough, there are plenty of other places to get Mexican food. read more

I am always on the lookout for places that are near the food desert of Long Island, Ridge NY. Unfortunately this place is not that good. You are greeted with silly named burritos and employees wearing shirts as if it is the Friday's of formulaic fast food Tex-Mex. Their smallest burrito and beverage is 9.50. When you order your burrito you can add what you like a la carte as if you were at Subway. Line moves very slowly due to this. I ordered the steak "Joey jr" burrito and the steak was not very juicy or fresh. You then get chips because at Moe's chips are always free™ It seemed like it would not be possible for them to close the burrito but they managed to somehow, and I did not even order much. Shell is rubbery, and the meats are not very fresh compared to competitors like Cabo fresh, and Green Cactus. The dining room had not one clean table while what looked like the owner was trying to put the cherry syrup in the multi coke fountain device. Sucks cause I just wanted a cherry coke! Overall a very mediocre place. If you are in Rocky Point and really need Tex-Mex you really have no other choice. read more

I usually dont do "fast food " reviews but with the cost of this, I wouldnt consider it typical fast food. The first time I went here I got chicken overachiever. The chicken was warm and it was good. The price was steep even so. Sadly that was the best they were to get. Every single time i have gone since none of the meat is even warm. Its like they cook it in the morning and just let it sit there. It was terrible. With the cost of one taco being almost $4. I expect the chicken, steak, beef, or tofu to be hot or at least warm. Yes all of them I tried and it was gross. Like I said the first time I went it was warm, not hot but never again. Every other time it was room temp. and dry. The staff there are always very nice. Its weird when I go in and they scream welcome to moes at me. I dont like that at all. Makes me feel uncomfortable. I would rather them just say hi at the counter when Im ordering. Weird custom that Im not fond of. There is a tip jar...I use to waitress. This is not a restaurant with waitstaff. Why is there a tip jar? Another thing that makes me uncomfortable. What am I suppose to tip for? Them doing their job getting paid way more then $3 something an hour which is what servers make and that is why you tip them. If they just step their game up and put out newly cooked meat every 30 mins or so this place would be my go to mexican fix place. But with the price Im paying it should never be cold.... This place is new, thats why Im shocked its doing so bad in taste and quality. If they dont change, Im sure they will close and hopefully a Chipotle will take its place! Good things: One thing I love there is Their soda machine! They have that great machine you pick for like 10,000,000 flavors. Also I love the chips they give and how they arent stingy on that. I Cant !!! I'm Done with sub standard customer service and food!! I went in to buy a HomeWrecker ( Burrito) And a cup of Queso to go with my chips and was tricked into paying 5.79 for a small cup of queso when they tell you that you get a free soda with a cup of Queso; don't go for it. Anyway after driving home and tasting the chips That was so stale and soggy with geese I had to spit them out. Totally disgusting and not edible. So Now I have a cup of overpriced Queso and No Chips that are edible. So I drive all the way back and speak to the manager (Christian) who tells me That they had a new person making the chips that's why they were stale and soggy. Whatever !! I Then when I ask for a refund he cheats me and only gives me $3.90 meanwhile my receipt says the queso was $5.79. It's not the money it's the principle. If customer service was important they should of gave me new chips and a refund just for having to drive all the way back; it's not like they could save the Queso; that I returned. or Maybe they will ??? read more

I have visited twice since it opened (it was only very recently). Once was before closing (I was one of the the last customers) and once was right in the thick of the busiest time of the night. I have had non uniform experiences each time. When the line is long (it appears like three sides of a rectangle, when viewing it) expect a 20 minute wait before you get up the counter. Otherwise the line moves pretty swiftly based upon staffing and proficiency. It is similar to a deli-counter experience (I do not wish to name that other popular sandwich shop explicitly). You just tell the guys up at the counter what food and what meat you want, and you hand-pick the toppings (and they have over 25 toppings, mostly non-charge, except things like bacon will cost .99 extra). The food was plentiful, but the prices were expensive! There is a small dining room, but the music was too loud and anachronistic (not in a good way) to enjoy. I felt my physical senses being assailed while I was inside due to the combination of music and broad swathes of primary colors which bedecked the inside. All of these attributes may be inherent to the franchise itself, I imagine. This location has one of those crazy coke brand soda machines with over 100 options. When I was there during the busiest time I saw a few greyed-out options (meaning they were empty), but when I went there at closing time it was 85% empty. I cannot speak for the manager (I think I spotted him, scruff faced with a 10o'clock shadow, peering out into the crowd or down at the food prep line every once in a while when he appears from the back) or how s/he treats the workers, as that other poster mentioned, but I can say all of the workers themselves I interacted with were pleasant, patient and amiable. I hear rumor that there is a loyalty / frequent customer program which can reward you with buy one get one meal offers, somehow connected to a phone number / text messaging system? I hadn't been to Moe's since to ask about it. talking about price points - expect to spend $9-15 for a personal meal (unless you choose to eat light). The sides(bowls of queso, rice, or guacamole) are awesome, but once you increase in serving size it gets painfully expensive tl;dr (too long, didn't read?): If it is currently plateaued in terms of service, price point, and efficiency of design and delivery .. this place falls right in between. It has the capacity to be awesome with a few more improvements, or it can make the wrong decisions and spiral into another crumbly, failed, and closing business (that particular building is bad luck for anybody who moves in. I still pour out a burrito on the ground for my home boys not around, when I pass by that spot). We've been to this Moe's pretty often...The line is usually slow-moving and long, the portions are VERY inconsistent. Sometimes you get enough for a meal, sometimes, not. Lately, we have always had to ask for chips. One thing I will say is that their flavors have been consistently pretty good, which is why we keep coming back here. You will probably have to clean off a table so you can sit down and eat (which is why we only do take-out now from this location. If you happen to be out east on the south fork, there is a Moe's on Montauk Hwy. near Westhampton that blows this one away...and it is the ONLY one we sit down and eat at. This Moe's still has a long way to go....I would think they need to hire a CAPABLE manager to keep those kids from spending more time socializing than serving. read more

Food was pretty good, no real issues there, however the cashier never returned our change, until I asked for it, I guess she thought she could put that in her tip cup. Speaking of the tip cup, its a gas container???? Having a tip cup at a quick service restaurant isnt in my opinion classy, and lead to a few questions are they making minimum wage for employees or servers, cause there is a difference. You also do not see tip cup in Mcdonalds, in fact when some one tries to leave a tip at McDs, it is encouraged by the employee to put it into the Ronald McDonald house. read more

(unlike Taco Bell's "beef" being less than 40% meat) None of the toppings never look like they have been sitting out for long. I personally love their Stackers with chicken. I make it a bit unhealthy, but oh so good. Once the nachos had come out a bit stale. I highly recommend you eat what you get from their right away. Latin inspired food is always better this way. Lastly, the staff there has always been very nice. I have never felt like I was given an attitude of any kind while there. They really nice generally. Last time, I was their the lady at the register gave me an Ande's mint for after my meal! How can so many people complain about a tip jar? They have the same thing at deli's.
