My coworker recommended this spot & I was intrigued because I never heard of a mochi drink?! You order at a kiosk, which I hate for numerous reasons. Before ordering, I asked one of the girls working if the Mango Tea Slush came with chewy bits/boba? (I had shown her the picture from THEIR website), & she said yes. Mango Mochi: This was delicious! Moge Tee is one of the better chain spots for boba teas and drinks without having to go all the way to Convoy. It's in the same complex as Ralph's and other big box stores, tucked in between one of the smaller shops. Lots of parking, so that's a big plus. The drinks are solid and huge variety. I appreciate that you can specify sugar and ice levels on most drinks. The last drink I tried was the rose milk tea which was really nice and not watered down. And they use fresh taro paste and not the powdered stuff. They can get busy at times, but the drinks come out pretty quickly. I would avoid the bubble waffles though. The drinks I've tried so far were the Fresh Avocado Tea A slush-like beverage that consists of Fresh Avocados, Korean Pears, and Jasmine Green Tea. (Got mine 70% sweet) To me this isn't your usual avocado smoothie that is rich and heavy. This one is in slush form but refreshing from the bits of the Korean pear. (I have not seen this at a boba shop yet! I love them Korean pears). And I love the strong tea flavor! The hint of the creaminess from the avocado makes this like a refreshing, lightly creamy tea drink. Osmanthus Milk Tea A milk tea that's made with an osmanthus oolong tea base. This drink does not come with any toppings. Tea Notes: A fragrant oolong-based tea that's infused with the aroma of tiny yellow osmanthus flowers. Creme Brulee Uji Matcha Japanese grade Uji Matcha that's placed in a cup swirled with creme brulee (Got mine with golden boba) Love the strong matcha taste but also the creaminess from the creme brulee. It's almost like a dessert. Some parts rich, some parts strong tea, and the pearls to finish. Don't forget to mix the brulee into the drink early on or at the end for the ultimate cream factor! Greeted upon entry and even offered suggestions and the kiosk to browse to see images of the options they had. Small shop and first boba tea shop in Mission valley. I was really craving boba, and this place was five minutes from work. So with it being fairly new and super close to work, I decided to give it a try. This is the only central boba spot for people in Mission Valley. I would like to say though, I came out extremely upset, not because of my drink but moreso the service and the management. I'll start with the drink. I got the matcha creme brulee with honey boba. It was an ok drink and I genuinely think they could've made it better. The matcha did taste more on the artificial end and there wasn't enough cream in my opinion to mix into the drink. It was just enough to line the cup. Boba was mid, not bad but not great. I get matcha creme brulee's a lot at other boba shops and this was not my favorite. So the part that upset me. I ordered my drink online, an hour ahead of when I wanted to pick it up with the intent to pick it up during my lunch. I went onto google, ordered it off of Fantuan, which was a third party ordering platform that is advertised when you click for a pickup order. I placed my order easily, got a text confirmation and an email confirmation that it was placed. I showed up to the boba shop a few minutes early to see if my order hapoened to be ready. When I got in, the employee was sitting in the back on her phone. I then asked her about my order that was placed online over an hour ago and she said there were no online orders. I showed her my confirmation text, email and the webpage that said order was placed. She tried to tell me I had it for delivery. Even if I had it for delivery, she would have still gotten a notification to make the order? I was told they couldn't do anything due to the fact that it was a third party and I would have to dispute it myself. However, if they still can take orders from this third party, they should assist in helping me dispute as they most likely have a contract with them. The second I asked to speak with a manager, my order magically appeared in their system. I don't if it was Fantuan or them, but I was running short on my lunch. The employee did make my order ahead of everybody else's, however it felt like there was little to no effort in this drink. You can tell it was rushed, when this issue could have been avoided ahead of time. I literally showed three different confirmations and I still couldn't get my drink until it popped up. Maybe this is something they could settle with the third party? But the way manager and employee handled it, felt extremely unprofessional. This proved to me that I should stick to Convoy and their Boba and I know Urban Bubble won't let me down like this. Do I see myself coming back? Nope, not one bit. Wasted my lunch and time, defeated the purpose of preordering and service was not the best. I'd rather stick to Urban Bubble because I know their system is reliable and their service is great. I came today 1/21/24 around 2pm. Somebody please tell me why I decided to get fancy instead of sticking with the classics? Usually my baseline order at any new boba shop is a Classic Black Milk Tea with boba. I was really looking forward to my experience here bc I read so many mind blowing 5 star reviews! The menu has so many seemingly yummy options, so I couldn't resist deviating from my original plan. I ordered the Osmanthus Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sugar with Herbal Jelly. With tax, it was about $8 something. seems pretty steep to me for a 3-star boba. - So if you like your drinks decently sweet, you'll prob need at least 75% sugar here. The reason I opted for less sugar than I usually do is bc I am trying to cut SOME sugar but still get my cravings in LOL. - all I tasted was milk. I felt like i was drinking a cup of milk, which always disappoints me. In fact, I went home and ignored my drink for hours, and then added my own steeped tea to it to enhance the tea profile. - The store itself is pretty nice, they have a few seatings set up so you can come here and hang out with your friends. - Apparently there are games, but you have to ask the staff? This is just my opinion but why aren't the games just freely out and about? Most boba shops I've been to, just have the games out for grabs and people return it after they're done. I was interested in playing games, but the fact that I had ask + distract the 1 available staff (who seemed WAY too busy making drinks) seemed like a bad idea. And so, I didn't play any games, nor do I know what they offer. The staff did have a coworker who was working the back/kitchen area who walked in and out to restock stuff (?) but he doesn't seem like he was involved in the drink-making process, so I didn't want to add to her plate. - it probably took about 10 mins for them to make my drink from my time of order (via kiosk). - this place seems like it gets pretty busy.
