The lassi was rich, creamy, and perfectly refreshing. The salmon tikka masala had just the right amount of heat -- flavorful, balanced, and beautifully cooked. I had the saag paneer, which was excellent. The spinach had a lovely creamy texture with just the right bite, and the paneer was tender and soft -- exactly how it should be. Great dumpling! I got the jhol jhol momo dumplings with a side of naan bread. The broth in the dumplings was amazing and super tasty. The dumplings were delicious as well. The most Slept on in Nepal style spot in DC . Whole in the wall type vibes but clean and presentable enough to casually dine in . Even the kitchen looked clean and organized . Charming little place with great food, friendly staff, and excellent service. I ordered the pork momos and achari lamb. Taste wise they were excellent, but the serving of the Achari Lamb was too small for the price in my opinion. Food also didn't come with any veggies, which is a miss in terms of a balanced meal for me. If you want to eat in, keep in mind the dining area is super tiny (3 tables with max seating for 8 ppl total). If you are relying on Google to help guide you to the restaurant, be sure to note the entrance to the restaurant is on Georgia Avenue itself. Delicious food. We ordered 8 dishes. Two momo, daal, butter chicken, veg chow mein, chicken biryani, okra, and achari lamb + tandoori roti. Half the dishes came with rice. Everything was excellent. Especially liked the C momo, chicken biryani, and tandoori roti. Ambiance is not fancy and quite small. Pretty quick service; they weren't busy when we arrived but seemed to have increased pickup business. Eating the food here was almost like a religious experience. You walk from the cold streets of DC and open up to a vibrantly colored shop with not a lot of tables. Just enough to dine a large group and maybe a few duos. But I would argue you would stand hunched over just to eat a Beef Momo. The blend of flavors, spices, creaminess is wonderful. It's also served like piping hot and biting into a hot, fully packed, and fresh Momo may be one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I'm so glad I walked into this place. It is honest when it says it's spicy! You know it's authentic to someone's personal recipe because we found ourselves picking whole cloves and cardamom pods out from the Lamb Biryani. You order at the window after looking at a written menu that has the charming elements of being hand drawn later on. They even keep magazine clippings of all their awards. More must come! Got my food delivered from here and I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be quite good! Chicken Tikka masala: I asked for extra spicy and while it can never be hot enough for me, it did have a nice little punch. The garlic naan was warm, chewy, and tasted great. The rice pudding was a little more liquidy than I like, but this could be from the delivery. It had a really nixe flavor. The gulab jamun were delicious and perfectly paired with the pudding. My first ever order from Moh Moh was on a food delivery app. I had a crazy craving for chicken biryani so I ordered that and had to get some momos since that's the name of the restaurant. The serving of biryani was massive! It was enough for literally three meals. The spices were just right and it was so tasty. They also have both bison and water buffalo moh moh that are so unique. It is something different that is very close to home in Downtown Silver Spring. The place doesn't have seating so it's only takeout. Good for a fast bite. If you're in a serious hurry you can call ahead but this still won't even help that much. The food is basically takeout. Come in and order at the counter. They specialize in moh mohs. If you haven't heard if these, they're basically dumplings. These get filled with meats or vegetables. It's about $6 for 6which is enough for an appetizer. This comes with a choice of a sauce. It can be hard to get to from outside the area. Some busses go by it. More like 4.5 stars. I ordered delivery through door dash from here on Friday. I got the pork dumplings wit the spicy sauce, and the okra entree. I didn't realize the okra was a complete meal so I got a lot of food. The dumplings were good and flavorful. The okra entree came with a chickpea side, rice, and a salad. I was really impressed with the amount of food you get. The okra was in like a stew. It was very good. The spices were right and the okra shined even with all the fixings in the dish. I liked everything. My only critique is I wish they gave more sauce for the dumplings. From their pictures, it appears these dumplings are supposed to be smothered in sauce, however for takeout, they put it on the side. I understand they probably do so for the dumpling to not get too soggy, but the little side of sauce isn't enough and the sauce was also a bit cold. We usually get take out from here and we LOVE their chicken momos with the tomato sesame sauce! The momos themselves have a nice little spice to them. We ate in one time and enjoyed a hot chai and some Tukpa as well... so nice, delicious and warming on a cold day. We had saag paneer, veggie dumplings, chana masala, and naan and I cannot get over how wonderfully delicious it all was. The flavors were fresh and perfectly spiced. They had marvelous flavors. The staff was friendly and kind. The food was served fresh and hot as each dish was prepared. The naan had a slight crispness that was outstanding. They only have seating for 8-10 people. The momos are amazing! We tried basically all of them, and they were all great! My favorites were the jhol momo with lamb and the C momo with pork. The jhol comes with a delicious broth and the C momo come in a thick spicy sauce. The veggie dumplings were also great - they curry spice the vegetables so they actually have flavor! My group also loved the okra masala and spinach chaat. The veggie biryani also had a really nice flavor. We also loved the fruit smoothies - really refreshing! This is mostly a takeout place - our group of six took up almost all the tables! But the staff was super great to us, and we'd definitely return. read more

TL/DR: I think about this place almost every day and it's a struggle to not order food (and a hot Nepali chai) from here daily. This is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. I haven't had a single mediocre thing from this place. My wife loves the smoothies but I'm a hot Nepali chai guy myself and I get one every time I go. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have tons of recommendations based on your preferences and I've loved every one. The Moh Mohs are twenty out of ten fantastic. It is indeed a little hole in the wall place in a fairly anonymous area of far north DC. However, it is valuable; Nepali cuisine is delicious and hard to come by. I stopped in for a sampling of their trademark dumplings. The momo (I've never seen the added h before) looked quite pleasant on the outside and had a lot of interesting flavors going on inside. The spicy sauce I asked for was legitimately hot, and even with ten dumplings, I ended up saving some of the sauce. Outside of dumplings, the menu includes some decent variety for a little place, and plenty of vegetarian/vegan food.
