Moho is a great newish spot on the always buzzing Bell Blvd., in the heart of Bayside. The first time we checked them out, I had the birria tacos. Pleased with the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff, we decided last night to call in a small "catering" order for for 15 ppl for lunch today. We ordered the sweet and spicy chicken as well as the ground beef (we were told that the steak is no longer available as of a couple of months ago). Mo took our order over the phone and patiently walked us thru the options and what all we would get with the order. The pricing was more than fair when he explained what all we would get with the order. When I arrived to pick up our order, the phone was ready to go and beautifully packaged up in takeout trays. The staff then loaded the trays into boxes, to make it easier to transport in our truck as well as into our house from there. They also offered to bring everything out to our vehicle. To say that they were generous in their portions is an understatement! We had plenty of food left after everyone had their fill and we got nothing but rave reviews from everyone. Along with more than enough of the meats, the rices, quesos, salsas, and other toppings were more than ample. To say "they're like Chipotle" is misleading because their flavors are quite different. The main similarity is that they both offer buildable options but that's really about it. The taste of the food was rivaled only by its value. My friend brought me here when I was in the area. She described it as Chipotle but better and I could not agree more with that description. It is similar to Chipotle as you can choose exactly what you want to put into your bowl or burrito or tacos but with more options and the options were extremely fresh. They had so many sides to choose from and you can completely design a bowl exactly how you want to and the benefit is that there is no extra charge for gauc. The quality of the food is next level - everything tasted so fresh and the combination of everything together was delicious. Not to mention the portion size is huge for the price (it definitely is bigger than Chipotle especially if you add more items to it). I also tired out the Birrita tacos which is something I never had before and it was delicious. The taco shells were super crispy and went so well with the dip that they provided. But the fillings were a little uneven and a bit chewy. I'd say overall, they hit the spot but didn't knock our socks off. The brisket wasn't particularly tender, and the flavor was ok; adding spicy queso and guacamole were clutch! We had a similar experience with the steak burrito, but the chimi churri and guac helped there, as well. I'd check out this spot again, though, and reevaluate my rating, for sure. If there's anything Bayside has been lacking for years, it's decent casual Mexican street food options. Moho provides quick and easy access to craveable items such as tacos and quesadillas right on Bell Blvd, via counter service reminiscent of popular chains like Chipotle and Qdoba. Their birria tacos are just okay, the consomé (stew dipping sauce) that comes with them are rather thin. But sometimes, it's too much of a hassle to drive 30 mins to Jackson Heights or Williamsburg for authentic beef birria, so it's much more convenient to get them here. Their rice bowls are very filling and completely customizable - I'm personally a fan of their sweet & spicy chicken and avocado ranch dressing. I order pretty regularly from here and will continue doing so because they are consistent. read more

I have been visiting this spot since it first opened and I can see how far it's come in terms of taste, quality, and service. Food: i'm sure everyone reading this review probably wants to know how the Birria tacos are-- they are phenomenal!!!! The current Birria tacos have cheese in them which I feel like made the recipe and taste way better than the first time I tried it simply because I prefer cheese in my tacos. I also really like the bowls at this place especially since they added spicy chicken it's so good and it's super filling for the price! Also be sure to try their churros because they're actually really good and satisfying after the savory food. Service: The ladies at the front who make your food are so nice! I've never had a bad experience here regarding customer service. They're really on top of their game. Ambiance: The restaurant is really clean which is a major plus and although indoor dining and outdoor dining is currently closed, they've still kept the place nicely organized and clean--no mess anywhere! Really wanted to like my birria pie but I'm dying of hypertension right now, my insides are shriveled like a preserved 2000 year old mummy. Do y'all get your salt for free? Was there BOGO with your salt supplier? Is your staff Salt Bae 30.0? Looks like it's hit or miss as there's others complaining of it being too salty among the sea of 4-5 star reviews. Been contemplating abt going here forever & I finally went yesterday. Got the birria tacos (abt $12) which were really good. I love how they give birria broth on the side for easy dunkin. The birria broth tasted like desi beef curry sauce to me. It was mild & flavorful. I felt like I was eating desi food. They also give 4 slices of purple radish & a slice of lime on the side. I personally hate radish (esp raw radish) unless it's pickled. The meat was tender & flavorful. The taco also contains melted cheese. The hr ride was worth it. While not your traditional sit down restaurant, Moho serves fresh Mexican/Tex Mex food in a fast casual setting (a la Chipotle) and does a bang up job in doing so. The selection here is pretty simple - tacos, burritos, salad and rice bowls with a plethora of fixings. What does make them unique in the area is that they serve birria tacos. We got a some chips, queso, guacamole, brisket bowls and some birria tacos to try. Chips were freshly fried and the queso and guacamole were pretty tasty for a fast casual place. Brisket bowls were also very good - the choice of toppings is really good and you can tailor your meal to your tastes. The tacos here are overstuffed and the birria, while good, was a tad dry. Service here was very friendly and the prices here are on par with most fast casual establishments ($10 average per order). This place will definitely be better when they allow you to eat inside since take out does take away from some of the freshness. Thumbs up. read more

Now the perks of ordering from here is you can add a boat load of toppings to any entree / appetizer dish you want. The food we got was all delicious however our sweet and spicy chicken tacos did fall apart so we were unable to get the full experience of eating it like a taco but man was the chicken delicious. They were not skimpy on the meat and toppings on the nachos either. The Birria tacos were pretty good, seems like to me everyone over hyped them not just from here but in general. Ordered here my second time and this time was not as good as last time. We ordered chips and queso and the queso was not in the bag. We also asked for our chipotle mayo on the side and that was forgotten. We got build your own chicken tacos which had chipotle mayo and cheese which were barely present. The bowl was slacking flavor like it had the first time I ordered. If you are going to have customers pay a premium for your food the least you can do is double check the order before it goes out. I hope you take this review and learn from it I will be back and hope all my items are Included. I used to order from here a lot in the past and the majority of the time the food was delicious, hot & fresh but today my food was cold and hard like it was a mistake order that they were holding in case someone ordered the same thing. My chicken burrito had the spicy sweet chicken instead of the regular chicken and there was no sour cream inside. The steak burrito I ordered came with items I didn't add at all. Both burritos were way smaller than usual and the tortilla on the steak burrito was wet with holes in parts of it. I gave them both to my brother to eat cause he'll eat anything. I probably won't order from here again, it's too expensive to waste money on when I can't even get what I ordered and paid for. When they first opened everything was great. I've been here twice. So much better than chipotle. The ingredients are fresh, guac is free, and the prices are excellent. My go to is the steak salad with pretty much all the toppings. They don't skimp on the toppings! It's slightly larger in size than what you would get at chipotle. I highly recommend getting the churro. I ordered it on doordash today and it arrived warm, but still crispy on the outside. Would have regretted not getting it!! I'm happy I found my go to Mexican place in the area! Tacos were a bit messy to handle since there's a lot of fillings. Overall would order from here again, my food was ready at the stated time and the food was packaged securely. So I've been here three times and finally getting around to writing my reivew. First time i got the birria tacos - they were made fresh and tasted amazing. My experience at that visit was very good. Second time I got the brisket quesadilla which in my opinion was even better. By the time I usually get it home, it feels a little soggy but thats easily fixed with like 3-4 mins in the oven under broil. My service at that time was also very good. Third time I was on a diet and gave up most carbs so I opted for the salad bowl. The service was fine originally but after getting the bowl ready, they couldn't get the lid on it and it was clearly just popping right off. They decided to put it in the paper bag and staple it shut. When I got it home, we noticed the bag was wet. I opened it and found that the stapled part did it a great job keeping the lid completely off and most of the contents were being pushed out. Needless to say, this ruined my meal. Luckily I had grabbed some skewers from a nearby greek place so I atleast had that to enjoy. My friends got birria tacos and their stuff was fine. I don't think I plan on trying anything else that requires a bowl from them until I know its fixed. I do recommend the quesadilla and birria tacos though. read more

I'll start this review off by saying first how grateful I am that a halal Birria taco place even exists. I can't think of any other official restaurants at the moment that serve this meal let alone much Mexican food in general. With that being said, the tacos were delicious, flavorful, and a little soggy. I ordered for take out and my order came pretty quickly. The inside is very simplistic, almost airport Chipotle style. You can make your own bowl, burrito, quesadilla etc. Pretty standard. But I was here for one thing only... the Birria tacos. For $12.50 for a combo, I was very impressed. You got three pretty big tacos and a cup of broth. It looked delicious and was very nicely presented. The broth tasted like a nice Bengali beef curry with lime juice which was an excellent combination. The beef was cooked well and was very soft. I do think the taco shell could have been made a little more crispy to still remain its shape when it was stuffed with the meat. We ate the tacos maybe 5 minutes after they were brought out and they were falling apart and the texture was very soggy. I think the two pieces of tortilla could have used some cheese in between to soak up the sauce before it got to the tortilla. Or maybe not putting too much broth in the actual taco... Regardless, I am still ordering these again for the flavor alone and I will patiently wait for a crispy taco shell because this place is worth it! read more

Viral Instagram Reel pointed me to this awesome spot. It was dinner rush and both the indoor and outdoor seating were packed (which was a great sign) motivating us to order a birria pie! Reasonable pricing for what you get and didn't have to wait too long for it. And MAN WAS IT EVERYTHING ME AND MY GF WERE EXPECTING....Each dip into the birria broth got me excited for the next bite. Each bite packed a flavorful punch. Juicy and tender meat, plenty of cheese, onions and cilantro were on point, and there are plenty of additional sauces upon request for whatever tickles your pallet. Came here because my husband wanted to try the Birria Tacos but unfortunately they don't offer them every day which we didn't know. Either way we got a few things to try out and the food is actually really good. Being halal is a total plus. Few things to note though, their "brown rice" option doesn't seem like actual brown rice. It looks like seasoned white rice? It's reddish in color but still yummy nonetheless. The other thing is the staff, it's hard yelling through the dividers for what you want to order especially when you wear a mask but the employees were too busy having convos amongst themselves and singing along to the music playing than to pay attention to what we wanted. We had to repeated everything about 3 times. And the cashier got totally confused as to what was ours and there was only one other person in there. Besides that the food is really good, and seemed fresh, and the menu was easy to read, nice decor and they had extras which other halal places don't offer like elotes and churros. The brisket wasn't what I expected and the steak didn't offer much taste either. I expected more flavor but unfortunately didn't feel like I got any. The corn was good though. Service 5/5: I did a online order and it was ready when I got in to pick up. Staff was very nice as well!
