My new favorite sushi spot. The sashimi was incredible and the rolls were packed with fish! Service is top notch and reminds me of my time in Japan. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music and atmosphere were a nice relaxing touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I can't speak enough about how good the sushi is here. The location is hidden in this shopping center but I beg of you; find it, and you'll be happy. I've tried just about every roll they offer. Each one better than the last. The staff here is amazing; they know me when I walk in and are always ready to greet me with a smile. I've said it before. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small; but it is quiet and quaint and offers you everything you need to enjoy your meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] By the way, the hidden secret here isn't the rolls; it's the Chirashi. One bowl of this and you'll be hooked.

Great food & great prices! The kutsu fried chicken was really yummy! Loved their veggie tempura plate as well. Great portion sizes.

We loved the creativity in the food , [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place is so beautiful and clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the customer service was excellent. They made my little 5 year old daughter feel so special! Love this place , definitely coming back .

The food is fantastic! It is absolutely wonderful and delicious in every way. It's actually probably some of the best sushi I've had in a really long time. They have some rolls with all fresh ingredients that are very well constructed, but i also noticed that they're quite generous because in every piece there was a generous amount of ingredients in there. While it's not an overly large role, you can notice the little things such as the roles that had fish on top flowed around and down the sides rather than just a small piece on top. The staff is very friendly and accommodating . The only maybe slight detractor is the price. They probably do price where most restaurants should and the price is good for the quality that you get, but it is a bit more expensive than any of the other sushi restaurants in the near vicinity. That'll probably keep me from returning often, but overall the food is so good, I will certainly be returning.

First time trying this place but won't be the last time here. Some of the freshest sushi I've had in years. The onion soup hits the spot. They are not stingy with portions. Boy did I order too much!! We will be back, as I found the freshness above any other sushi I've seen lately. The service was also excellent and a generally friendly atmosphere.

The service was insanely good! Our waitress was just lovely! Loved her! Part of our group was gluten free and she helped navigate which rolls to order and brought gluten free soy sauce to the table. The food was so fresh- probably the freshest sushi I've had since we moved here. The ruby roll was amazing! We all loved it. Spicy tuna always a favorite. The salmon and tuna rolls are just tried and true. The edamame had a good amount of salt, which we liked. We will definitely be back! Sooner than later. Can't wait to bring our college kids here this summer.

    Kanisu Signature Roll... yum!

First of all, really delicious and fresh. The white tuna was especially tasty. Nice-sized portions on the items that we ordered. I had the Kanisu, a signature roll which does not have rice or seaweed but is kept together by fresh cucumber which was all wonderful. The chef suggested to eat by hand and to make sure to get a piece of the pickled radish with each bite-- great advice and we loved it! My son ordered the Lion King signature roll-- a nice portion and really good Attentive staff. Beer, wine and sake available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice simple decor with comfy chairs![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back!

There are so many thoughtful little details in the décor that make it feel special. Every server and staff member was genuinely kind and impressively hospitable, offering a level of service that honestly surpasses some higher-end restaurants I've been to. Now, the food. Their ginger salad might be the best I've ever had. They use romaine and green leaf lettuce instead of the typical iceberg, which gives it far more flavor and texture. The dressing was smooth and creamy--not broken, watery, or overly acidic like so many ginger dressings tend to be. The miso soup also had more depth of flavor than most versions I've tried. A bonus surprise: they have more lunch options than what's listed online, and the in-person prices are actually cheaper. So don't rely on the website--come in and look for yourself. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and sushi roll combo. They offer a generous selection of rolls to choose from, and I went with the Alaskan roll. The filling was plentiful and well-balanced. The rice on the outside was slightly thin in a few bites where the seaweed peeked through, but the overall flavor was excellent. The chicken teriyaki was outstanding--juicy, tender, perfectly seared, and full of rich teriyaki flavor. I also appreciated the unexpected cold bean sprout salad on the side, which added a nice contrast to the meal. Overall, this was a wonderful lunch at a very fair price--only $15. I'd happily return and highly recommend stopping in rather than making assumptions based on appearances or online listings.

Holcomb Bridge Road is just always busy, so give yourself a few minutes to work your way from 400 over here. They have their own parking lot, no issues there. Our server was ChingHan, and she was very helpful and attentive. She noted that they run a lunch special for $19.99 that has a lot of sushi nigiri, rolls, and soups. Not too bad! I ended up getting a volcano roll, and spicy tuna roll, and a shrimp tempura roll. I had a bowl of miso soup and a cucumber salad. My buddy went à la carte and had octopus, hamachi and tuna along with miso soup, iced tea and strawberry ice cream. His meal was almost double the AYCE cost. Not a big deal, he doesn't eat rice. ChingHan also said that for dinner after 4 PM, they run an AYCE sashimi special nightly. I'll have to bring other people here to eat sometime! I peeked at the regular menu and it looks like they offer a lot of tasty items. But a $20 lunch special these days can take you a long way. I'm still full! Support small businesses!

I was there early and got served really fast! This is my third time going there and the food is delicious. My usual order is Hibachi Salmon with steamed rice and veggies. You probably know places like these are generally good finds. :-) No exception here. It's kind of wild what they can do in their tiny kitchen. Aside from sushi, you can get stuff like hibachi, noodles, etc. I went with several rolls and vegetable tempura. Everything was good though not notably exceptional. However, the real gem here is the price point ... which hit as *reasonable* by today's inflation standards. Interior dining space only ... and that isn't much to speak of, but it's functional and holds the stream of customers they get. It seems like they do a lot of carryout orders. Anyway, it's a spot worth checking out if you haven't been.
