I went in to get my drivers license renewed and the procedure was fairly quick, but the customer service rep really did not want to wait on me. She was condescending, impatient, and generally annoyed. There are many registries in Calgary and I would recommend you choose one other than Mojos. read more

I went there on Saturday morning to transfer my old car's old plate to my new car and cancel the new plate. This took 2 hours. The individual helping me, Al, didn't listen to me at the beginning. Sent me on a ridiculous goose chase to go get my new vehicle's "birth certificate" as he put it, when I came back with it from my dealer, he realized what I was actually asking for and said, I didn't actually need that. What can be said of this place? The complaint I had was met with a "we don't make the process / rules" response with no resolution even after the desk clerk incorrectly denied my paperwork initially. After asking two separate employees to speak to the manager she finally was able to bring herself to the front communicate this message. Not a problem, will spend my money elsewhere. read more

Bad service...... unprofessional stuff..... not clean place .... Rude workers....... Unpleasant visit

K, I'm updating this review because the previous one just didn't show how much I appreciate this place. Going to the registries is almost NEVER a good experience. Nobody goes there because they WANT to - you go because you have no choice, usually end up spending a bunch of money you didn't want to, wait in impossibly long line ups and (at least in my experience) deal with people so bitter about working in a place like this that they come across sour and rude. That is not Mojo's. This place seems to have discovered this little thing most registries don't: customer service. Every time I've walked in (which has been several now, as they are now my go-to registry) I've walked into a line of 4 or less people and there's been at least 3-4 agents open, so the wait is generally minimal. Sometimes they don't even bother with the number taking practice (though I would recommend grabbing one in case they are) and just take people from the front of the line because they move through so fast. The staff here are all great, as well. In my 8-10 visits now I've only ever had one situation where the agent wasn't 100% sure what to do and that's because it was a very complicated situation that involved 2 traffic fines, the cancellation of one kind of card and renewal of another one that hadn't been issued for two years. It's not exactly an every day occurance. Yet, still, with a little help from a manager I was run through without much hassle and in far less time than expected. Lastly, I can't give enough praise for their hours of operation. It can get really frustrating trying to make it to these Monday to Friday 9 to 5 registries, so the fact that Mojo's is open later on weekdays and open 7 days a week is a heaven send. Really, there's no reason you can't find a time to get in here, which only further cuts down on the lineups because if you can't afford to wait, just come in on a Sunday afternoon (for example) and walk right up to the counter. The building itself leaves a bit to be desired, as it still has all the drab grays and whites and complete lack of anything interesting to look at that one would expect in a registry office. I would have hoped with the flashy, non-stuffy naming conventions and nice, friendly, smiling staff maybe they could have found a way to make the visuals as un-registry-like as everything else, but all in all this is a rather small complaint. I actually work in a place where we end up directing people to visit registry offices probably at least 5-6 times a day, and I pimp Mojo's like... (I've just discovered there's no appropriate way to end that sentence, so let's just say I give it very high praise and recommend everyone go there, lol.) Still waiting for my licence to come in the mail. It's been almost 6 weeks. My temporary licence they issued is well expired. I drive daily for work. This is not OK. Apparently, I need to come in, pay to renew my expired temporary licence, while they look into it. Not that I have much faith, as mailing out a single card was far too difficult a task to achieve the first go around. Either way, the onus is ostensibly on me, to take time out of work and come in, to correct their sheer incompetence. I'd love to have some photo ID. I updated my address as I had moved, and my licence was up for renewal. Nothing quite like not being able to buy a beer for 6 weeks at your new house! In summation: I might as well have left my licence expired and with an outdated address, as dealing with Mojo's has left me with no photo ID and an equally expired temporary licence. 1/5 stars, would recommend to someone I hate. read more

Any time you have to deal with bureaucratic stuff you know it will not be pleasant - the rules and requirements are often devoid of common sense and seem like a giant money grab, yet we must jump through the hoops to comply. Mojo's hours are awesome and there appears to be ample staff relative to the number of customers. My husband and I came in to get our driver's licenses, license plates and to apply for Alberta Health Care. My husband and I had different clerks and I could tell that his clerk was far more competent as she was able to zip quickly through all the paperwork whereas mine took longer and kept having to go to her co-workers to get their help but in the end she was able to get it done. It could have sucked a lot more than it did. read more

When I took the test, Anita was fantastic! She guided me through many of the road rules before I took my test and it really helped. She helped me look over my previous test results and find room for improvement. The service was great because she genuinely tried to make me feel relaxed during the process, while remaining objective to her job. I was very impressed with the service. The first examiner did not go over the results thoroughly (his name may have been Mohammad), but was polite and cordial, just slightly impatient when I wanted to determine what had happened after the exam. Anita more than made up for any bad experience. She seems like she is great at her job and constantly striving to be the best! No fault of hers, the remaining staff did not follow through with the paperwork that comes after the exam from passing and I was forced to venture to Taradale in the far NE. Word of advice: Do -not- take the last road test of the day, you will not be able to complete the registration. I will recommend this registry for anyone taking a road test but I do not want you to think that the admin staff is always friendly. The five-star rating is for the service I had paid for, but I am removing certain experiences with admin staff which were subtly rude from the rating as I still think that the general service was great with Anita and the lady who checked me in. Anita restored my confidence in driving and even imparted better road practices--she was very thorough, well-communicated and kind, while remaining reasonable in her judgment. I had a great experience here. The hours of operation are incredible (seven days a week!) and I walked right up to the counter. She got me a new license plate in about six minutes flat. Without Mojo's I would have had to wait until Monday (I went on Saturday after 4 pm, meaning nowhere else was open), and even then I would have had a tough time getting somewhere after work that was still open. I can't speak to Danielle J.'s experience, as she didn't give much for details (there are probably two sides to that story), but I sure appreciate the service I got. I'll be back for sure! read more

The manager Laurie is very unprofessional, raised her voice so the whole registry looked and stared. She was upset over a spelling error of a model of vehicle. Gave me the dirtiest look while walking up to me asked me why I had such a privileged look on my face. Absolutely insane, very demeaning. read more

I was recently there on one of the last days of the month and assumed it would be busy and it was, but the staff were so efficient that I was literally in and out in 5 minutes. This registry is located in an ideal spot being so close to Chinook Station. I have been to a lot of registries and to me this one is a hidden gem. The clerk whom served me was friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. I would definitely be a repeat customer and would highly recommend this location to anyone needing there services offered! read more

My health card was tattered because I had it since 1993. I needed a new card. I photocopied my old card with all the crucial information still on it and mailed the application to Alberta Health. However, my letter was returned. Alberta Health still requested my signature to be witnessed by a commissioner of oath. They returned my letter with a box checked: witnessed by the commissioner of oath. So on May 1, 2019 I went to Mojos's License & Registry to get it done. I handed over the returned letter with the box checked off to the clerk number 3 and said to her: I am applying for a health card and I need my signature to be witnessed by a commissioner of oath. I thought it was very clear. However, she asked me right away what I wanted. I repeated my statement. She then asked me if I was leaving Alberta. I had no idea why she asked such a question. I said to her "Of course not. If I'm leaving Alberta, why am I applying for Alberta health card?" She said what she meant was if this letter would leave Alberta. I said "No. As you can see, the letter is from Alberta Health and I am supposed to return it to them in Edmonton." She then said the reason she asked me the question was to figure out if it was her job or someone else's job. Then she went to her supervisor for help. When she came back, she said she couldn't use the returned form from Alberta Health. I would have to fill out a new form, even though she didn't explain why. So I did. At the bottom of the form, there was the date and the place so I filled them out, only left the spot for her signature. To my astonishment, she said "Oh, no, that's my spot." I couldn't believe my ears. I told her I didn't' sign for her. I only filled out the date and place to save her some time. I was pretty frustrated by then. She said "would you please calm down so I can do my job?" I don't think she was competent to do her job and she blamed me for it. I had been giving them business for the last eighteen years. I told the clerk number 3 that it would be the last time I was in their office. read more

One of the BEST registries I have ever been to. The ladies there were helpful and cheerful, even joking with the other customers who were also being served. i travel out of my way now to come here to have service of this caliber. this is one of the only registries that offers all different types of services and actually knows what they are doing. (and an actual person answers the phone when you call) i would highly reccomend this place to anyone. read more

At first, I had to register my marriage and pay for licensing with this registry. The process for that was pleasant and the staff at the time were helpful. Then I had to add my spouse onto my Alberta Health, this experience was ok until I received a phone call the following day notifying me that I had to bring proof of my marriage in order to do so. I notified the staff that I don't have a copy of my license as I had ordered it through them but still had not received it but I will bring in my original license in a picture frame but why would they not had a copy of the transaction and why that would not be enough proof. I was then put on hold by the foreign accented agent and a lady more fluent in english picked up the phone and immediately started yelling and was rude. Not only was she verbally berating me and cutting me off not allowing me to finish any of my sentences, she then yelled for me to stop yelling as if to prove to other agents who was not on the phone that she was not the one at fault for having raised her voice. Not once did I refuse to bring proof of marriage, but I only asked why that the transaction of my application for a license and the purchasing of a license after would not be proof enough. All the while, this woman rudely yelling over me that I have to bring in proof and patronizing me and saying its not her fault I did not understand that. I understand that point very clear but would have liked a proper answer to MY question. To whomever the lady is: You work in a customer service industry. If you cannot or do not know the answer to a question, simply reply as such and I would stop asking questions. Not once did I refuse to bring proof, I only asked why is it that your registry, whom I had to apply for the licensing AND a copy of the license thereafter, would not have proof of this transaction, and if you did have the proof of the transaction, why would this not be enough. You are a grown ass adult, speak like one if you wish to be spoken to with respect. You don't get on a phone and start yelling and berate a client over the phone just because you don't have a proper answer, NOR should you insult someone when it is you who clearly do not understand a question. Yelling over the phone and claiming that the client is the one with a raised voice all the while continuing to cut them off is not how you treat people whom your livelihood depend upon. Get some proper training or stay in the back and off the phones because clearly you lack the intelligence and training to speak with clients. Although I work very closely to this location and it is convenient, I will never use this registry and I will also let many of my friends, colleagues, and who use this location know of this interaction. Hope this helps others to know that some of the foreign staff at the counters are great but whoever the supervisor is, avoid them at all cost because clearly they do NOT give a shit. read more

I booked a Road test with Mojo Registry, I found later that I had tickets to pay, I quickly opted to cancel my Test as I was within the 48 hrs cancellation period, Surprisingly Mojo refused to refund my money in direct violation of their own rules, When I brought the terms n conditions to their notice they became aggressive and rude. the Manager was equally disrespectful. this is a scam avoid it. it is a big giant money grab scheme. read more

This review is to help others to choose a good and fast registry office. I did deal with this place for years. Many years ago I was dealing with intelligent and efficient office manager such as Shari and the first owner as Jerry. Lately a clerk I talked to hung up the phone and cut off conversation the second time. When asked for her office manager who did not seem to comprehend the courtesy issues nor is able to read well emails re issues. How difficult can it be? I decided I gave other registration office a chance and found out they incorporate limited companies a lot cheaper...clerks at other place are polite and helpful. For car registration renewals you can do on line directly and others also do driver licence renewals fast without line up or so on. Watch folks there are cheaper and faster services but I wasn't concerned about my later to be reimbursed cost when I chose a good registry service provider. After all not always pay more here you get better service as of 2014 Halloween OR on Oct 31, 2014. This is not the first time that I had humiliating experience at this registry. Their location is pretty good if you get around the Chinook area. That's the only positive thing about this registry. The agent that served us today actually started to lough about my complaints showing what she thinks of me. The message was clearly that she is the smart one, and the customer, well, is a fool. All this just because she got confused with her own statements, got me to run useless rounds, gave us directions what to bring in their office, and half hour later when we came back with the requested documents she denied that she would have requested those papers to get our requests done. She was rude and disrespectful and definitely not knowledgeable or professional. I would not recommend this registry location to get your business done. read more

Never will I use this registry service!!!! First off let me say that I am not a calgary resident but was under a deadline and the service was temporarily unavailable where I am from. Long story short, the employee the 'guided' me was very misguided herself, ended up giving me far from accurate information which has directly resulted in license suspension, vehicle impounding, and court dates!!! Unless you feel like having some serious issues with your local law enforcement, and losing thousands of dollars just for them to basically say too bad, sucks to be you even though we screwed up....don't do it! Like ever! All I have to say is Mojos you suck!!!!! And I really hope you stop lying to your customers that you still have.... Poor them. But a huge S/O to the one and only good employee you have!
