The Malaki coffee was VERY good but VERY HOT. Wait a while before drinking! The pastries are lovely and look delicious but the staff who helped me couldn't confirm if any were gluten-free so I didn't buy any food. It can be pricey (especially if you get something besides coffee, like a latte) so this is only somewhere I would go once in a while, even though it was delicious. Maybe at some point I'll splurge and try other drinks.

Came in with friends. None of us were satisfied. First off when I asked the girls at the counter which is their most popular pastry. She just looked at me and pointed directly to something near her. And I took her word for it. It was the raspberry pastry. I also got a strawberry matcha. Mango dragon fruit drink was made wrong and the girls were confronting each other about it. Also got the mango pastry. We tried the spinach savory pastry as well and a berry croissant. The spinach pastry would have tasted better warmed up but it was cold. The fruit pastry weren't tasty at all. The mango dragonfruit drink was overly sweet was not edible we threw it out. The matcha was sweet as well and it wasn't a good matcha. 0/10 wouldn't come back again. Oh and they do have a leak by the garage area which one of us almost fell while trying to throw something out.

Saffron Adeni chai $7- bad choice. Saffron tastes & smells weird, too strong, also they didn't ask or offer any sugar/sweetener so we had to keep asking

Cozy wfh cafe for early birds and night owls!! Moka & Co is a chain cafe serving Yemeni coffee, pastries and cakes. I visited their Astoria location, which opens till midnight on weekdays and 2am on weekends. They also have locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn with different opening hours. Their pistachio desserts are seriously delicious, especially the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Cake. Imagine when pistachio tiramisu meets dubai chocolate bar. *Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Cake*** Love at first bite!! The cake consisted of chocolate cake, pistachio cream, crunchy kunafa, and crushed pistachio. It was nutty, slightly sweet, and moist. A decadent dessert for pistachio lovers as the pistachio flavor truly shines. *Pistachio Napoleon Cake Roll** We were recommended to try their pistachio Napoleon roll and it won our heart instantly! It was basically a Napoleon pastry but rolled up like a Swiss roll. The center was filled with sweet cream and berries, with a cookie-like cracked topping baked onto the outside of the cake roll. *Bee Bites (Honey Comb Cake) You have to get their honey comb cake, a traditional Yemeni bread made of small dough balls filled with cream cheese and drizzled with honey. The sweet and savory flavors grew on me. It was served warm and perfect with a cup of coffee. *Moka Spice Latte They have so many interesting coffee and specialty drinks! Yemeni beans and traditional spices gave the Moka Spice Latte its uniquely aromatic profile. *Iced Pistachio Latte I got why people liked their pistachio latte--it was pistachio-forward while I could still taste the coffee. Just a note that their drinks were pretty sweet for me. I'd ask for less sugar next time. *Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher Beautiful color layers. Yet it was too sweet for me. They also added too much ice to the drink. It might be more refreshing for summer.

Moka is a really fancy (not so) little coffee shop. They have a huge selection of drinks and bites. The staff were friendly, and the drink was great. My only real complaint is that the drink was quite expensive. Overall, worth stoping in and having a nice coffee drink.

SOOO good. It was busy on a saturday morning but things were made fast and service was quick! All the drinks and pastries looked really good!! A lot of seating and space was pretty big. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the drinks and pastries!

Cuisine: 8 Service: 7 Decor: 8 Value: 7 Overall: 8 Can't ask for much more, maybe a little less crowded and more spacious seating. Otherwise, a beautiful cafe with high ceilings and nice decorative walls. The drinks were all very satisfying, while the cakes were surprisingly good and not too sweet. Skip the Dubai Chocolate though. It wasn't bad, though definitely less crunchy and sweeter than most I have tried.

Poor your own ice cold water!!!

I'm not a coffee snob. I don't care about the difference between a flat white and a cappuccino. I don't care about the origin of the beans or the roast profile. I just want a good cup of coffee that makes me feel alive. And that's exactly what I found at Moka & Co., a cozy little cafe in the heart of the city. It's not your typical hipster joint with exposed brick walls and Edison bulbs. It's more like a hidden gem, tucked away in a quiet alley, with a simple sign and a warm glow. But what really sets Moka & Co. apart is their signature drink: the saffron latte. Now, I know what you're thinking. Saffron? In coffee? That sounds weird, right? Well, let me tell you, it's not just weird. It's magical. The first time I tried it, I was skeptical. I mean, saffron is expensive and delicate. How could it possibly work with coffee? But as soon as I took my first sip, I was hooked. The aroma was intoxicating. The color was golden and inviting. The taste was sublime. It was like drinking liquid sunshine. The saffron added a subtle floral note to the rich espresso, while the milk smoothed out any bitterness and added creaminess. The sweetness was perfectly balanced by a hint of cardamom and honey. It was unlike anything I've ever tasted before. It made me feel happy and energized at the same time. It made me want to dance on tables and sing in public (which I did). It made me fall in love with coffee all over again. I've been back to Moka & Co. many times since then, but nothing compares to that first experience with their saffron latte. It's become my go-to drink whenever I need some inspiration or motivation or just some pure joy in my life. And every time I order it, the barista smiles knowingly and says "You're gonna love this." And he's always right. Because he knows that this is not just any drink. This is THE BEST DRINK EVER. And if you don't believe me, go try it for yourself. You won't regret it. Trust me on this one. Moka & Co.'s saffron latte will change your life forever. Or at least make your day better than ever before! So what are you waiting for? Go get yourself some magic in a cup! You deserve it!

Moka & Co deserves all the hype that it gets and I'm glad that they're expanding their number of locations rapidly. I would say that this place is a lot better than Qahwah House which is comparable to it (and the service is a lot better on top of that). Whether it's the refreshers/coffees or the desserts, Moka & Co has a wide selection of goodies. I liked the lotus biscoff tres leches but to be honest I would definitely not call it a tres leches as there was no milk and it was quite dry. Was it still good? Yes, but let's call it a lotus biscoff cake to prevent confusion :). I'll be back!

Revisited Moka & Co recently with my sister to get some work done. While the space is large and airy, I found myself hunting for a table with an outlet - there aren't many, which is a bit of a bummer when your laptop's about to flatline (note to laptop workers: outlet is located at the high seats and two tables near the entrance wall). They do have Wi-Fi though, so that's a plus! This time around, I decided to skip their more unique offerings like the Yemeni coffee and Shai Adeni, which didn't quite hit the mark for me on a previous visit. Instead, I opted for the Pistachio Latte, and my sister went for their Strawberry Lemonade refresher. Pistachio Latte ($9) This Pistachio Latte was pure magic. Hands down one of the best lattes my sister and I have ever had. The balance of sweetness and pistachio flavor was spot on, and it wasn't too bitter. This is definitely going to be my go-to from this spot from now on. 5/5 stars for sure. Strawberry Lemonade ($7) My sister's Strawberry Lemonade was everything she hoped for - sour, tart, and super refreshing. She gave it 4.5 stars, saying it was pretty much perfection in a cup. Service was on point, too - they brought our drinks to the table, which is always appreciated. Overall, I'm bumping my rating up to a full 5 stars. This spot has its quirks, but the drinks definitely make up for it.

This Yemeni cafe @mokacocoffee just became a hidden gem on my foodie map. Good vibes and great flavor. Pistachio cake so soft it crumbles with a glance, paired with the creamiest latte I've had in a while. They sell the viral Dubai Chocolate bars if you love those as I do. I like their Pistacchio Latte. Very addictive ! They have a few locations and I went to the one in Steinway Street. Perfect for big groups with plenty of seating and spacious area. What we ordered (all amAzing !) - Mufawar latte - Pistacchio latte - Moka spice latte - Pistacchio cake - Dubai Chocolate milk cake - Pistacchio croissant

Moka & Co is a great Yemeni cafe in queens! It was poppin' on a weekend night and i get why it's a popular spot! We had to wait a bit for our fo to come out but the staff was kind and helpful. They use original, handpicked Yemeni coffee beans in their coffee and have sooo many dessert options! What we ordered: Shai Adeni ($22 teapot) Pistachio latte ($8) Dragon fruit refresher ($7) Pistachio croissant ($9) Pistachio mousse ($10) Kunafa cheesecake ($10) Bee bites ($10) Baklava i would definitely come back just for a cup of the shai adeni! i can't stop thinking about it cause it's my new favorite milk tea - it's a creamy blend of cardamom and tea if you want a light pistachio dessert, get the pistachio mousse - it has a strong pistachio flavor but has a soft mousse with a bit of raspberry filling bee bread is a classic dessert at Yemeni coffeeshops; it's sweet and savory - a nice balance between honey and cream cheese i would absolutely recommend the pistachio croissant! it was soooo flaky and soft, and i looooved the pistachio cream filling! the mango dragonfruit refresher was pretty but a little too sweet for me (kinda like a jolly rancher), but I liked the chunks of dragonfruit bits in it. pistachio latte was reallllly good - creamy and flavorful there are many seats here + they're open until midnight = perfect spot to chill with your family and friends!

It was a very nice day, we were walking around Astoria looking for a dessert place that could help me and my cousin with our sweet tooth and I believe we found one!! This place has so many options of dessert I was surprised to find it! I would recommend the cakes because they are fresh and moist, the only thing is that the cakes that have bread or some sort of donut didn't taste that fresh so I would pick the other options! I would definitely go back and try their beverages, they look delicious!!! The place is open, clean and gorgeous! Perfect for a date too!! Service was fast and very kind about all of our requests

The adeni chai was too hot and too bitter. The music playing was also loud and distracting.

Cute place but way too expensive. I was charged $15 for a can of soda and a plain croissant.

I think this is a…read morechain & I've had their bayside location, which was good, so I am glad they have one in Astoria too. My go-to is the açaí bowl (original - classic size) just the way it is, no customization. I haven't tried their other bowls but the UBE & coconut sounds very good too! Oh yea, if you don't feel like chewing, they have all their açaí bowls in smoothie form too. Refreshing, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The açaí is smooth and slightly tart, balanced by sweet fruits and a satisfying crunch from granola. They also say their granola is "home made" which definitely adds that extra crunch. A light yet energizing treat that makes you feel as good as it tastes. Perfect for those hot NYC days...(and cold when winter comes).

I grabbed a Green Bowl (pictured; blended spinach, banana, mango, kale, and almond milk, granola,…read morestrawberries, mangoes, blueberries) for breakfast, subbing the coconut and honey for peanut butter and hemp seeds. The person behind the counter made my bowl quickly and got the substitutions correct. I got a classic size, and it was quite large, though expensive. The fruit was all very fresh, and the green mixture tasted great. I would definitely eat this again. The SoBol space was nice, though it was deserted while I was there. The space is designed for ones and twos, or small groups at most to eat their bowls or drink their smoothies, and then leave.
