Cute hidden coffee shop! Lots of parking and indoor space for studying/socializing. The Wi-Fi/connection is spotty so I'm not sure if I'd WFH here. The barista was super friendly and quick with our drinks. They have a regular coffee menu but a very extensive syrup selection. I think if they did more speciality lattes they would do better than other cafes in deep ellum. I got a lavender oatmilk latte ($5.50) and they do charge for syrup but not for milk substitutions. Would recommend this place for a social gathering.

Extra hot Mocha and extra hot Turmeric Latte with oat milk

My husband and three month old baby and I went here on a Thursday morning. We timed the line just right, so we didn't have to wait long. However, there was only one person working so if you were at the back of the line it could take a while to get your drinks. I got a turmeric latte with oat milk and it was delicious. My husband got a mocha because they Housemake their chocolate syrup. He said it was really delicious. There was plenty of seating both in the form of tables and couches. We felt totally comfortable bringing our baby. The coffee shop is also attached to a modern art gallery.

Amazing coffee! The iced caramel latte my husband & I got was perfect! The art installation was also a nice touch to the shop. We'll be back the next time we're in Dallas! :)

I stumbled upon this place with a friend and its a great place to work or study from. I enjoy the drink options and the ample space. The bathrooms are very clean and the gallery is a nice change of scenery to work around. Super sweet baristas with great recommendations. Parking is ample with large parking spaces and there are plenty of nearby places if you want to pop put and grab lunch.

    Cubano cortado

Lots of space, pretty quiet, and great vibes to get some work done! Service is awesome and a free parking lot in the front too. Their cortados are on the sweeter side, so if you don't prefer that definitely adjust the sweetness level. Will definitely be coming back to try other drinks!

I went on a rainy monday morning so it was 1/5th capacity. Solid Iced lavender latte with oat milk. House made syrup is awesome! I personally like it a little more sweeter but no big deal. The Beans are solid. Oat Milk is a little chalky. Price was good, $5.50 and parking was not bad for deep ellum Good music in the background. Plenty of seats and nice couches! Fast wifi TRY the double espresso and condensed milk option! Its amazing! If i was in the area, its a place I would come back!

Loved this shop. I did stop by early on a Friday morning and I was the only patron for a while. Lots of tables to get work done. There's a couple of sofas you can lounge on. The music selection was great and not too loud. Service was wonderful. They do serve breakfast tacos from Peaberry coffee and definitely recommend the chorizo and egg taco. Cold brew was good! This is in Deep Ellum and their parking lot is HUGE.

I am SOLD!!! The space is big and offers plenty of coworking space and rooms to host meetings. They offer pastries and things and my dirty chai was good. I loved being able to sit in the art gallery and work is great for a creative like myself

I popped in here honestly just looking for a restroom but when we entered we were right away drawn to the attached art gallery. They were showing student work and I was obsessed with it. Also the bathrooms were very clean, haha! I ended up ordering a coffee. It was good! When we popped in there wasn't a lot of people. The person behind the counter was nice and helpful. I'd like to visit Mokah again! I love that they had parking.

    Chai latte and mocha latte

The Chai Latte is a must try. It has been so long since I've had a well balanced cup of chai where it's not too sweet, too bland, or too overpowering. Perfection. They have a private lot and street parking, so you don't have to worry to much about finding a spot. The place itself is very open and has a art gallery connected to it. I highly recommend stopping by!

One of my favorites to grab a nice cup of joe and to have quick meetings and business chats when I'm in Deep Ellum. It's literally on the verge of the area so no hassle going down major, busy streets. This little coffee shop is located inside of Life in Deep Ellum whose core focus is community. Making the neighborly feels understandable and suitable for any cudtomer. I always order something different but I've enjoyed all of my drinks. Service is awesome!

Great coffee spot in Deep Ellum. Eclectic decor, really nice baristas, reasonably priced, and art displays to top it all off. Remote Friendly Score (8/10): Outlets are abundant and Wi-Fi is free, but a bit spotty. Music is here, but not loud enough to interrupt any calls/courses. Productivity won't be an issue here!

I tried their Cubano! It was great! The staff was really nice and gave me full descriptions of the drinks I asked about.

Super basic coffee...I was not expecting it to be so tasteless. We hoping for a mokah to be involved in the process.

Coffee was decent, nothing to rave about. My cappuccino was served in a paper cup which I was not thrilled about. We were eating inside, not taking anything to go, so there was no reason for that. Paper cups influence the flavor of a hot espresso and I drink mine with no sweeteners specifically because I want to taste the actual shot. The espresso was also slightly burnt, which tells me the machine needs a good cleaning. Iced coffee is a different story but for hot cappuccinos, ceramic makes a real difference. My husband's coffee was good though and he was happy with his. Breakfast sandwiches were the toaster style, similar to what you'd expect from a place without a full kitchen. I genuinely enjoyed mine. My husband was not impressed by his. Overall it was a good enough time. We would not go out of our way to come back but if we were in the downtown area and needed a reliable spot in a pinch, we would stop in again. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not, the stars reflect that.

First of all, the Bishop Arts District itself is incredibly charming. Block after block of unique shops ranging from bookstores and bakeries to candle shops, candy stores, coffee spots, and little boutiques. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood I loveeeee exploring while traveling and if I lived in Dallas, I'd probably frequent this area often. As for The Wild Detectives, the concept alone immediately appealed to me...bookstore meets cafe meets bar meets restaurant. That combination will pretty much always grab my attention. I love to read, I love to eat. The space has a pretty relaxed, community oriented vibe, and during my Saturday morning/early afternoon visit, there were plenty of people working, reading, chatting, and hanging out both inside and on the patio. My one slight disappointment was that the bookstore side itself was smaller than I expected and didn't have quite as extensive a selection as I had imagined. That said, I still managed to leave with a few great additions for my ever growing TBR pile. Overall, this was a worthwhile stop and one I may revisit the next time I'm in Dallas.
